An incredibly broad book, dealing with the circular nature of life. It covers everything from the formation of the universe and elements of our solar system, to continents and landforms, weather, plants and animals. Very appealingly set out and illustrated.

Wer die Natur beobachtet, wird feststellen, dass das Leben in Kreisläufen organisiert ist. Einige Kreisläufe sind auch den jungen Lesern bekannt (wie z.B. der Wasserkreislauf), andere eher nicht. Dieses Buch widmet sich den Kreisläufen der Natur und darüber hinaus. Denn auch das Leben und Sterben der Sterne wird in diesem Buch thematisiert.
Bevor es mit den Kreisläufen beginnt, werden in dem Buch zuerst ein paar grundlegende Informationen vermittelt, bevor sich der Blick von der Erde abwendet und ins Weltall richtet. Schon auf den ersten Seiten wird deutlich, dass die Kinder ein bisschen Zeit mitbringen müssen, um die dargestellten Informationen zu erfassen. Das Buch wird zwar für Kinder ab sieben Jahren empfohlen, aber jüngere Leser werden ein wenig Unterstützung von Eltern brauchen.
Direkt mit den ersten Seiten werden die großartigen Illustrationen präsentiert. Unsere Jungs schauen sich solche Sachbücher zuerst rein optisch an und stromern durch die Seiten. Dabei erfassen sie die Illustrationen und die Highlights. Dieses Sachbuch ist für eine solche Lesensart sehr gut geeignet.
Beim zweiten Durchlesen werden dann auch geschriebenen die Informationen erfasst, die es zu Hauf gibt. Denn nach der Einleitung und dem Blick ins All kommt der Hauptteil mit den Kreisläufen der Erde, wovon es so einige gibt. Jeder Kreislauf wird sehr gut auf einer Doppelseite (entweder im Quer- oder auch Hochformat) angezeigt, so dass direkt der Kreislauf ersichtlich wird. Neben den Illustrationen gibt es immer wieder Kästen mit Fotografien, die Hintergrundinformationen zu den jeweiligen Kreisläufen zeigen.
Fazit
Das Buch “Kreisläufe der Natur” zeigt schon jungen Kindern, dass sich das Leben auf der Erde in Kreisläufen organisiert. Aber nicht nur das Leben, in jedem Ökosystem lassen sich Kreisläufe finden. Mit sehr anschaulichen Illustrationen und viel (Hintergrund-)Wissen werden bekannte und weniger bekannte Kreisläufe gezeigt. Dieses Buch eignet sich in jedem Fall, um Interesse an der Natur zu wecken, falls es nicht sowieso schon vorhanden ist.

Tämä kirja tarttui mukaan käydessäni kirjastoautossa. Kannen kuvitus veti puoleensa ja pienen plarauksen jälkeen kiinnostus vain heräsi enemmän. En tullut pettymään.
Kirja käsitteli kiertokulkua aivan avaruuden alkuräjähdyksestä, kasvien, eläinten, hyönteisten ja jopa bakteerien sekä ameebojen elikaaren kautta. Mukana oli mielenkiintoisia lajeja, joita verrattiin myös luonnon muihin otuksiin. Nopeasti luettavaksi kirjaksi, tässä oli todella paljon tietoa helposti lähestyttävällä tavalla.
Kirja on todella hyvin tehty. Kuvitus on todella upeaa ja elämänkiertokulkua käsitellään upeasti. Vaikka kirja on suunnattu lapsille ja nuorille, on siinä todella paljon myös aikuiselle lukijalle.

Excellent illustrations and concise descriptions of a fascinating selection of basic natural physical cycles and a huge variety of species. Presenting everything in terms of life cycles imparts a satisfying wholeness of perspective. Highlighting numerous astonishing appearances, adaptations, and behaviors makes every 2-page spread a treat. It never gets boring. The final pages cover humans very gently and evenhandedly, but do clearly point out the major impacts that we are now having on the rest of Earth's natural systems and web of life.

My twins are obsessed with life cycles, so this is a little like the holy grail 😂 but we choose a few random pages each night and it often sparks rabbit trails on YouTube to learn more about said creatures.

A gorgeously illustrated book
This is one of the best books to show how the earth and living things complete their life cycles. The illustrations are clear and beautiful, it could be used with older children in KS 2 as a guide for their science topics.

A quite short book, but the illustrations are beautifully intricate and detailed. The subject matter is broad, covering life cycles across the board, but it's enough to make you appreciate live in general and the beauty of it.
