Joelle Gebhardt is a Canadian illustrator living in Berlin, Germany with her family. She is the author and illustrator of Mr. Buttonman and the Great Escape published by Simply Read Books in April 2020. Mr. Buttonman was awarded Merit in the 3x3 Magazine Annual Professional Illustrators Show.

This book is so fun and creative! My 2 year old has such fun looking through the pictures and pointing out all the details. And because this is a wordless book, he absolutely loves creating a story for it each time. I really, really hope there are more Buttonman books to come in the future, because my son picks this book out to read *every*single*day.

This was a really cute little book. There are no words, only pictures, but Mr. Buttonman goes on an incredible journey that is really easy to enjoy and follow. The artwork is amazing and all done by embroidery, it's a really unique and impressive style.

This book is delightful and has very quickly become my sons favorite. Its imaginative and clever and really opens up the imagination. I highly recommend!
