My kid can write better than this and he barely knows his colors. What a disaster this book and this author is.

-This was, without a doubt, one of the most exhausting books I have ever read. It is so long for absolutely zero fucking reason. I shared some screenshots with friends and one said something to the effect of “you know when you just need to cram words into an essay to make it longer but you’re out of spoons so you’re just bullshitting and putting words in that don’t make sense? That’s this book”
-the villain is quite possibly the worst villain I have ever had to sit through and that is saying something. She ON PAGE describes him as “the love child of Hannibal lecter and the joker” and I just… cringe
-remember how in the last book she finally revealed queer characters, but they were villains? I really thought, okay, it can’t get worse. And yet, it did. Because not only did the trend of no queer people besides villains continue, the queer dictator turned out to also be into necrophilia! Super!
-sex scenes that sounded like Sarah j maas copy/paste which sucks for me because I hate the way SJM writes sex scenes
-sexual assault survivor described as having a “victim mentality”
-and just, over all, absolutely garbage writing. Words that don’t belong used with abandon. Plot? Where? Never heard of it. Yet despite having almost no plot, this was almost 700 fucking pages long.
Im just glad it’s over. No I won’t read the companion series she’s creating, this already took years off of my life. I am all done now.

⏱ Sixty second, no spoiler summary
Elara and Cyrus are still on Arooynx and Jax is still gone. Elara is torn between Jax and Orion and all of her emotions. Sampson starts to recruit more to go against Zenith and Elara’s world is shaken up again. She has an internal struggle within herself as well as the challenge of convincing everyone to go up against Zenith. Battle ensues are a victor emerges.

I like that this story is continuing on and the style of writing has improved, book by book.

Still annoyed with the overuse of labels: Lunin, Solin, Ex-Collector, Partner, etc. I also think Elara was annoying and wished the ending maybe was different. Maybe? There’s also a disconnect with the language. She uses a lot of f words but then at times says things like “I muttered a certain 4 letter word”. I’m not sure why the censorship of the word then? And this was long. It took me a long time to read and I think some of it could have been cut out, or made into two books. I kept loosing interest, but at the same time wanted to finish.
👵🏻 Safe to talk about with Grandma?
Negative. This is promoted as at YA Urban Fantasy. I would have let my 14 year old read the first one, maybe the second with a warning of language. This book is not appropriate for a YA, in my opinion, and my grandma wouldn’t have liked it. Lots of language, lots of descriptive violence. There’s also some steamy descriptive sex scenes. This one would be better for older teens.

I went back and forth on a rating but decided on a 3. This is lower than what I gave the other two books, I think because I was more annoyed with the overuse of the titles. I also didn’t really like the inner dialogue that Elara was having with herself. Maybe I missed it in the second book, but it seemed to come up suddenly in this one.

I'm going to spare my words and cut to the chase, if you want to read the full scale review look for my reviews on books 1 and 2, if you're a potential reader looking to read this book/book series then go ahead and buy the book, buy the series and read it because it's a fantastic story and I am in love with it so far. Those one star reviews are people trashing J.M.'s book because they don't agree with her views on certain things.
I don't agree with J.M.'s views on certain things but I'm mature enough to write an honest review, if you want to buy her book and read reviews about it then ignore the one stars of it because those are fake reviews written by haters. J.M. taught me a lot of life lessons and I have become stronger because of them and I have learned to stand up for myself and my views. This review is me standing up for my views and telling you that J.M.'s books are stupendous and that you should ignore the single starred reviews because they're fakes made to diminish J.M.'s standing figure.
I made a decision to take J.M.'s hand and jump, to rewrite my own story and it is a decision I will never regret because it kept me alive and made me the strong young woman I am now.
So go ahead, take her hand and jump. Jump into a new world, jump into her books, jump into your life and take control, I don't care what you do afterwards, I just want you to know that the journey is one you will never forget and one that shouldn't be wasted because of fake reviews.

Amazing, just amazing. What an ending or is it?! I can't wait to see what's next! The first half of the book I had to push through reading it, I was ready for all the action. Then I read the last 250 pages way to fast and loved every part. It's a great and exciting series.

I love long books. specifically I love immersive long books that make me feel like I'm actually there AND make me think about the story even when I'm not reading. Solid completion of this trilogy and I was a big fan of how everything wrapped up.
This reminded me of the Mistborn trilogy in that some parts were a bit slower but it helped to build the world and the characters so that the action was that much more impactful.

I really wanted to love this series. I liked the idea and setting of the story, but felt the character development fell really flat. The storyline also felt rushed and the constant use of the term "tangible void" made me cringe. I'll still read her next series and cross my fingers that her writing style will really keep my attention this time!

As someone who has been a33ault3d, the way the author handles a33ault in her character is horrible and harmful. Telling a character to get out of the 'victim mentality? Are you kidding me? She just had the most horrible thing happen to her. And you're going to tell her to just 'accept it' and suck it up? Trash.

Disappointing finale to a trilogy that I was really enjoying.

What a ride this series has been!
I love the characters Buckler writes, and I appreciated the depth and growth of multiple characters (not just one or two) in this third book. Plot lines are wrapped up in satisfying ways, even bringing in details from the first book. I’m a sucker for love stories and enjoyed that aspect of the book.
Passage of Time wasn’t, for me, as “unputdownable” as the current versions of Seeker of Time and Stillness of Time, which I gave five stars to—partially because this book is long and felt to me that it would’ve been even more enjoyable at a faster pace. I also found myself needing to make more logical leaps, and I struggled with the level of disturbing violence compared to the first two.
That being said, after reading the first two, this one is absolutely a worthwhile read, and I think readers will find the ending to be overall satisfying, as I did. In a series like this, endings are important, and Buckler did a great job wrapping up all the many storylines she’d spend three books building!
Passage of Time, wraps up the first phase of Buckler’s Seeker of Time series. According to her Acknowledgements at the end of the book, she has three more books to write in this series. However, this book wraps up all of our main storylines and series conflicts, and from the “threads” left open for the next series, it seems it’ll be more of a “second trilogy” in the same world but with different main characters and conflicts. I like this, because I enjoy the structure of trilogies. I don’t want to have to read 6 books to “get to the end,” but I do enjoy reading an additional story within a world I’ve enjoyed. I’m satisfied with the way this trilogy ended and look forward to another story on Aroonyx.

This books is entirely too long for no reason!! It just kept going on and on. The dialogue is stupid. And what the heck is a "masked dealer" that keeps talking to her in her mind? What a waste of time.

Passage of Time, book 3 in the series, will capture your full attention. Start with books 1 & 2 if you can.
I can’t say that I have ever felt sadness when finishing a book. I feel like I’m in mourning. It’s not because of the way the story ended, it’s because of my attachment to the characters and the story told. I can’t even think of a book to move onto because it was so good.
Buckler has clearly grown as a writer. I became so attached to the characters I am having a hard time letting go. I am guessing their presence will not be as prominent in future books in the series. The fight of good over evil, the life lessons and questions that Buckler poses really come through in this book. There’s tons of action, it’s a page turner and I never slowed down my reading in all 600 plus pages of the book.
Well done author, J.M. Buckler. Passage of Time is your best work yet. I will be anxiously awaiting the next installment.
