Mark Bell thought he would escape all his troubles if he went home.

He was wrong.

Upon returning to his own time, Mark is thrown into another Templar Knight mess. Unwillingly forced by different factions, and with a bad taste in his mouth when it comes to Knights, he agrees to help his old friends search for Pandora's Box. When push comes to shove, though, he discovers a horrible truth that will shatter everything he believes.

In the past, Tristan O'Rourke is struggling with the voices of the gods inside his head. They ask him to do unspeakable things, urging him to let them take over and give him ultimate power. With his family at risk, he is determined to find the strength to remain himself despite the changes inside him.

Samantha, worried about her husband, is doing all she can to make life seem normal for Tristan. As the pressure on her grows though, she wonders if she is truly up to the task. With a new position among The Order of the Knights Templar, she struggles to keep the composure she's strived to maintain in the face of adversity.

Danger is lurking around every corner--will their opportunity for success go up in flames or will they will stand victorious at the end of it all?

"I was Samantha Green O'Rourke. Time traveller, pirate, wife, mother, soldier, Shield Maiden, Number 8 and Randall's fucking reckoning"
kally-her commitment issues
1-0
apparently, i managed to read this series and despite the feeling of accomplishment I feel as empty as the black hole of the universe.
swept away has completely raised my standards when it comes to storytelling fantastical events based on historical facts, organizations and personas.
samantha green o'rourke.
her. her. her.
without this wonderful human and her excellent way of educating how female main characters in a fantasy series should be written, this series wouldn't hit the same.
she was the perfect mix between intelligence and courage as well as confidence throughout the entirety of this series, always accompanying you through the plot with the perfect amount of humbleness, curiosity and quick wit which made her a true heroine and not a simple female lead. there wasn't one scene in which she went against the foundation of her true self or lost herself because of any factor.
she is simply a natural guideline for what female leads in fantasy series should always be.
it's no secret that the plot of the last books isn't my personal cup of tea, I would have preferred for some events to be extended or not exist at all, however, my fascination with these books, the adequate and engaging writing made it easy to adapt to the new line of events.
so, before I mention what was at fault I would like to emphasize how entertaining & comforting this series was as a whole.
yes, there are plenty plot points which should have been analysed and developed more such as the modern day ending, Tristan's origins, explanation to the prophecy and why the hell was she the worthy number eight.
yes, it was rushed.
yes, they gave him powers only in theory yet during the battle it was only a fact and not a practice.
yes, they made randall exceptionally op and it was anti-climatic how the battle turned out to be as well as how it ended because of an error.
it wasn't a fair fight and it certainly wasn't developed right.
they could have merged everything that we have encountered until now and give us a world-stopping last showdown.
however,
this series despite the many points where it could have been better, it cemented itself as a comfort series to read especially during the summer.
the characters had depth and development, the main leads served excellence in how a romance should be and above all it hooked you up with the lore, the simple yet effective writing and the passion that shined through everything they included.
a magical ride to be part of.

p.s. marion, thanks for letting me borrow your little pirate soul<3

I can't believe it's been two years since I read book #5! What an amazing ending to the series, admittedly I teared up while reading the last chapter.

The perspective is split between Mark, Tristan, and Sam (for reference, Sam's perspective doesn't begin until 64%). With Mark we see what happens with the Orders in modern times, Tristan's POV shows us how he's handling the will of the Gods inside him, and befittingly Samantha finishes off the series with her POV spearheading the active build-up and finale with Randall.

Solomon's writing is as wonderful as ever, the detail fantastic. I adore these characters and am so happy they were all finally able to live a life of freedom, although I'm going to miss these swashbuckling pirates and their hoards of treasure. There was a plot hole that bothered me quite a bit (Worthies???), at times the plot seemed to drag, and the final battle felt so short - but I admit the ending was one that left me satisfied.

SO MANY BABIES, THOUGH. Babies everywhere. Piles of babies. Mountains of babies. No wonder Mark read that letter over three times. -wink- Thank you for the amazing story, I had so much fun with this series!

as always the best

As with all Kamery Solomon’s books. They are truly amazing. This is the 4th time reading this series and I love them all. Can’t put them down. Highly recommend them all. Very well written. Keeps you engrossed in the story. I feel as I’m a part of the story reading what happens to each character. Would love to see this story pick up with more adventures esp with the children continuing on until it reaches a time before Sam goes to the pit. Love it highly recommend

Perfect ending for the couples in the past! However, I'm not satisfied with the future/modern time's conclusion. The last-minute character's addition seems to be an easy way out of the problem.

Nevertheless, I still love the tale of time-travelling, with pirates, treasures, and otherworldly, which Kamery has creatively interwoven into this fantastic saga. Swept Away Saga is definitely a series where you need to read the book continuously to understand the whole ordeal and storylines.

One of the best time travel books I have read, ever.

In today's time, there is a lot of mystery surrounding the Templar Knights with little history of where they traveled, too, and for what purpose. I loved the story of romance and suspense. This is the ultimate story of the little guy losing and losing,
then to ultimately win it all, prevailing over evil.

That ending was perfect! I admit, I laughed, I cried, and I cheered throughout this whole book. Tristan and Samantha have been the best couple to follow throughout this series. Seeing them grow and change from book 1 has been a real treat and I love where the end up in book 6. We get to also see Mark and where he ended up when he went back to the present, but I truly enjoy all of the Tristan and Samantha moments. A masterpiece that I highly recommend! I can't wait to see what Kamery Solomon does next!

Outstanding series! What an ending! All the loose ends are tied up, plenty of happy endings. I love the relationship between Tristan and Samantha. Hearing from Mark at the beginning helped to wrap up his tale. This is a series that you have to start from book one, the story continues throughout the books along with the relationships that develop. Sad to know this is the end but it was a wonderful saga. I received an early copy, my review is unbiased and voluntary.
