Everything I’ve been told about the gods and magic is a lie.
I wanted answers. And, holy shit, did I get them.
But now all I have are more questions and a bunch of powers I don’t know how to control.
After the shocking revelation that left me reeling, I’m left questioning everything about myself. But at least there are three men who still believe in me. Three men who will fight by my side no matter what.
Lachlan, Trace, and Merrick each hold a piece of my heart. I never thought I needed anyone, but they’re mine now, and I’m theirs.
And if the gods want to come for them…
They’ll have to get through me.
This is the final book in the Magic Blessed Academy series, a university-age reverse harem paranormal romance. It contains cursing and sexual situations, and is intended for readers 18+.
Eva Ashwood has been a reader her whole life and a writer for several years. She loves telling stories of alpha males and the fierce women who bring them to their knees.
She's a sucker for reverse harem, bully romance, enemies to lovers, heroes who redeem themselves, and all the drama and passion of new adult love.
Satisfying in most ways, from the smut to the action. It could have done with more at the end. Would have liked a satisfying end to the rat of the school. I think the book could have been enhanced with multiple POVs, something just felt like it deserved more. In the end, I enjoyed it and devoured it. 4.5 stars
What an ending! Trace had been tossing around the idea of what Aria could be.. but for some reason, I wasn't expecting THAT as the twist. Aria had challenged the God's this time around in the God's Challenge because what they were making the students do this time around was setting them all up for slaughter. Even NEW students had to participate. Aria and her guys didn't like that one bit because they all knew the reasoning behind it. So she'd make sure to win that challenge and talk to the gods. Boy, did it back fire! I do love a good battle in a book, and it was delivered. I loved the outcome, and I couldn't be happier for Aria and her guys! The entire series was a solid 3.5 stars! I enjoyed it. Happy reading!
3.5-3.75⭐️’s rounded down — specifically because there were SOOOO many inconsistencies OVERALL in the series… even within the same book. For a non-spoiler example, so you know, I’ll makeshift at the moment. I’m making up the exact words and giving a faux example, but I’m positive there are people that will cite this in their reviews.. I swear. “I was 10 when I was thrown into foster care” THEN, 5 chapters later…. “I remembered when my dad died at 12 and I had to take care of him” THEN…. “I was always alone. No one loved me.”
I can’t cite references like those reviewers that are admittedly superior than reviewing than I am…. Specifically bc I don’t care enough (ok… lie, but I lack the resources & attention span) and it’s harder to hold accountably/attention span when consuming via audiobook late at night when ADD meds wear off and my mind wanders.
The main deduction: I have 15 minutes left of this bloody book left and I KNOW im not going to be happy with the half-assed ending… and TBH, as much as I am a sucker for epilogues (HEA/HFN’s are my JAM), there is NO way the MC’s relationship is going to be written like the author gave a shit. And rushed it. And didn’t resolve a thing.
Genre/Tropes: Fantasy, RH, Academy POV: 1st, FMC Series: Magic Blessed Academy, Book 3 STEAM LEVEL: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is a prime example of a relatively easy, thrilling, sexy fantasy romance that offers just enough plot, conflict, and romance that it’s just a feel good, happy read.
Loved this conclusion to Aria, Merrick, Trace, Lachlan and the other wild Magic users. I loved the secrets, the explanations, and the absolute flawless character arc for Aria. She was a powerful FMC with a heart of gold. She didn’t flaunt her power or demand respect. She simply used her power to help others, and even her men recognized that and loved her for it. That dynamic is a favorite of mine and it was handled flawlessly in this series. The steam was a bit repetitive but in all honestly, the plot is what hooked me so that was okay.
I genuinely loved this whole series. The drama is outside of the relationship and it just has an awesome vibe I know will have me rereading it in the future.
I’ve loved this series! Aria is such a fantastic character she’s strong, tough and resilient! I’ve loved watching the relationship between her and her men grow and flourish and I’ve also loved watch the characters grow throughout the books. You can tell Aria loves all her men and it’s wonderful to see. This book is action packed and doesn’t disappoint! It’s hot and steamy and I’m excited to see what Eva brings out next!
Wrath of the Gods is an amazing action packed finale to this series! Aria is such a strong, passionate, and kick butt main character. She loves her men with her whole heart and truly wants to protect others. This book was filled with twists and turns I did it see coming, but my gods were they fantastic! The action in this book was great, and I loved how we got to see multiple characters interact with out main group during the god trials. Overall, this book and series is action pack, hot, and a must read!
Such a great series! This book had me on edge in the best way. I couldn’t put it down. Ari is such a fierce character and I loved watching her grow and fall in love with her men. I loved all three men but Lachlan was definitely my favorite. Holy hotness this book has some steamy steamy scenes. Eva Ashwood is an amazing author and she DID NOT disappoint with this series.
I really enjoyed this book. It is a nice addition to the series. I love how strong Ari is as a character and her men are amazing. Lach is still my favorite in a lot of ways. I look forward to more from Eva Ashwood.
I thought Eva did a good job with the ending of the Magic Blessed Academy series. I would give it a 3.5-4 stars for the story. I think the climax to me was a little short-lived/anti-climatic unfortunately, which is why it got the lowest rating from me for story out of the 3 books. I also kept getting taken out of the story with sex scenes. Now don't get me wrong, I love steam, but the placements of the sex scenes didn't help with the story or really fit in some places. They felt like they were added to just add steam or something. I wish they had been more thought out/maybe lessened just to really hit the story home. I think the ending was good, I like how things ended up. I also loved some of the other characters stepping up and it just wasn't the main 4 kicking butt and taking names. Overall I think it was a good series, I just think the ending fell a little flat for me.
Narration was as good in book 3 as it was in 1 and 2. I actually think it improved to 4-4.5 stars. Inflections were on-key and the accents were great. Keep it up Stacey, definitely will be checking out more of her narrations in the future 😊
Action packed series! Aria is a strong and resilient character and her men are just as amazing.
In the fist book you get a feel for the world this is based in. The author does an amazing job of setting it up so you can really imagine where the story is taking place. I love that the main characters start to question why things are the way they are. And it is organic in the way is happen, it does not feel forced.
In the 2nd installment they really start to dive deep and look for the answers to their questions. Aria's powers are developing and so are her relationships. You really feel the bond growing not just romantically but in friendship and trust too.
In the 3rd installment of the series the Gods have decided to punish those who question them...or at least some of the gods do. The gods do not succeed and the action packed book does not disappoint at all. I loved how detailed everything was. It could be easily imagine everything going on. Very well written and highly recommended.
The overall story wasn’t bad and I stand by my comment about this being another authors story but when you move into book 2+3, the storyline evolves differently as it’s mostly school/God Challenge based. I didn’t mind the ending in this one despite a lack of explanation on past situations that should have been explained and also with a lot of the characters. The additional bonus epilogue created to show what they’re up to 2 years later was good and am glad they brought it back in.
This was definitely the best book out of the series but it honestly didn’t need to be 3 fucking books long, if you remove book 2 then it would be the perfect length and probably wouldn’t even know it’s missing. There was a lot of smut in this book much like book 2 but at the most inconvenient times 🙄🙄
I honestly NEVER thought I'd say this....tgere was way too much sex in this series. There was so much sexy times that it felt like attempting the whole Karma Sutra was the real plot. There was so many time I was skipping multiple pages to get back to the action.
I did enjoy the twist with Ryker and the ending. I also liked Wesley's turn out.
I did not like how fast the action scenes were over, especially in comparison to the length and multitude of sexy scenes. I also found it weird that Eden would suddenly become a teacher of wild magic when her whole magical education had been suppressed the Gods via the teachers. It could've been better, the beginning was interesting so I will read more by this author in the future.
Same review for all three books. I like Eva Ashwood a lot and this series was good. Parts of it were a 5 star, parts were a 3 star. I’m a little disappointed because I can see the potential that this series could have achieved and been absolutely incredible, but it didn’t get to that level. It’s only disappointing because I know Eva could do it! A lot of the scenes had little detail and more of a summary of the event, where if Eva had detailed the event then it could have added a richness to the story which just wasn’t there in some spots. I do recommend this book and loved it, it’s just a little disappointing because it didn’t reach its full potential.
I enjoyed this book a lot, the plot kept moving forward even if it was at a glacier pace. The guys fully supported her and once the students realized what the gods truly thought of them, they all seemed to get on board. What I didn’t like, was that it was slow, repetitive. I found the ending didn’t do the plot much justice, it ended to quickly. And I didn’t see if Westly got what he deserved. Otherwise I enjoyed this one, tons of sexy spicy scenes, loved that we got to meet Arias real dad, so now she has a found family and actual blood relatives. Glad it all worked out.
This was a fantastic series from the first book until the last. It had a great plot, fantastic characters that you will quickly fall in love with, and there was never a moment that you went without some twists and turns. This final book was packed with edge of your seat, hair raising action and the steam will melt your panties! This book tied everything up nicely and had a great ending to what is now one of my favorite series! I highly recommend this series.
What I Liked: *Ari- I loved her character progression from a strong but closed off character to one who grows and opens up to love, friendship and compassion for those around her. *The men- They were distinctive enough and I really enjoyed experiencing them falling for Ari. I would have liked to get more information about them but I am greedy. *The steamy scenes- Usually, I don't really care much about the intimate scenes except for how they show the relationship progression but the scenes in this series were hot. I always plan to skim through them in the books I read but these caught and kept my attention. *The trials- I really enjoy when there are competitions in stories and I found the ones in this series to be very engaging, especially the one in the first book. *The pacing- I enjoyed the pacing of the story and never got bored. *The writing- If there were errors in this book, I didn't catch them though I was fairly immersed and could have missed them. Ultimately, this was very readable and didn't have flowery or cryptic prose for which I am grateful
What I would Have Preferred: *A more detailed epilogue set further into the future. I love and appreciate when authors provide an epilogue. I know that a lot of readers hate them but I am a fan. That being said, I wanted to know more about their future and 3 months ahead, while great, wasn't enough to satisfy my greedy, detail needing heart. It was still better than no epilogue, though, so there is that.
Overall, I would recommend this book to lovers of RH with lots of action. This author is great and I can't wait to read more of her books!
This book went by a lot faster than the last one with the ending looming over us! I felt pretty smug that I guessed some of the plot twists especially with how much Eva catches me off guard in other series!
My favorite parts of the story was seeing all of the relationship growth! The fmc had so much personal growth throughout that it made their relationship all the more sweet.
It’s really great to read about a FMC that stays strong and bad ass throughout the entire series. Even though there’s doubt and insecurities throughout their adventures, she stayed true and strong. The development and growth is shown by the developing relationships. Great series and great ending as well.
I enjoyed this final book of the series. The battle and sex scenes were well written. The relationship between Ari and her 3 has come together nicely. The godly reveal was pretty good.
This is my first series by Eva Ashwood and I'm looking forward to exploring more.
The conclusion to this story was as action packed and addictive as its predecessors. I’ve really enjoyed the series and reading the story finally coming to its conclusion left with me with a very satisfied feeling. I would 100% recommend not only this book but the entire series.
Completed the series within 24 hours snd I don’t have regrets, this is a great series to start with if you want to get into new adult fantasy with a hint of smut and sexy characters. Looking forward to reading a few more of Eva Ashwood’s work
I love Eva’s heroines. They are always these badass women who get shit done. This series did not disappoint. Pair it up with a paranormal twist and I loved it!!
