Can Joey let go of his fear and trust Rick to lead him to a life of love and acceptance?
After Blake's arrest, Joey struggles to make peace with his past. Building a life with Rick turns out to be more challenging than either of them expected. They hope a trip will help them find the balance they both need, but they are about to discover that healing the scars from the past is not as simple as packing a bag.
In order to come together, Joey and Rick must redefine not just what it means to be in a Daddy/Boy relationship but what that means for them. The problem is that it might require something that Joey is terrified to give again: trust.

People driven stories. Slightly broken boys. Safe space MM Romance fiction. After getting a degree in languages, travelling the world, raising a family, and working as a business journalist, she went back to school and studied English Literature and Media Studies.

Told in dual POV, 3rd person, it’s the third installment in the "Joey" series and should be read in order. This story put me out of my comfort zone (given that I’m not into Daddy/boy kink, but I should add that there wasn’t much of it here) and I enjoyed it. It’s a short read and in my opinion, a bit rushed, especially the ending . All in all, I liked it and hope you enjoy it as well!
We had lots of emotional scenes in the previous two books, so to have not all that much happen here was a bit of a letdown I guess. Not that I didn't like this final installment, I think I was just hoping for a little bit more.
We mostly had Joey trying to not freak about the trial where he would have to testify against Blake. We also had Rick figuring out how to be the Daddy Joey needed, and we had Joey meet Rick's parents. That was about it.
Overall it was nice reading about these guys, but I wasn't that invested in this last book as I was in the other two.
This installment is about finding closure on the traumatic past for Rick & Joey. The story/series is written to elicit various emotions from the reader. With that said, I love the sweet, nurturing but imperfect relationship between Rick & Joey. I strongly disliked the narcissistic antagonist. Therefore, I thoroughly enjoyed the HEA!
I love the Joey trilogy. H/c. An amazingly resilient boy. Past trama. There is some angst here, but everything is about trying to heal. So sweet and comforting. Will absolutley read this again.
This volume, in particular, is a wonderful conclusion to Joey's story.
As soon as I finished Trust, I went back to reread Joey and Rick. I love this series so much and am sad to see it finish...although I think it could be continued a few years down the line. (I don't know that they have stopped talking yet, Ms Jurd!)
Although Rick is perfect for Joey, one of the great things shown here is that he isn't always perfect in practice. However, always a Daddy, he is willing to grow and change for his boy. At the root of it all is his deep and abiding love for Joey.
As usual, there are so many things that add depth that some novellas miss out on. The onesie, toys, giving teddy a name, the caring for Finn, Maisie still being a brat...I could go on. I really loved the addition of Rick's parents to the group.
The glimpse of Joey 6 months on from the trial shows him in a better, more comfortable place. He has a strong support network for those days he will falter, and I am happy to let him go (for now).
as usual it was a awesome read from Angelique Jurd. I ma so happy that Joey can now move on with his life and start to cope with everything that happened to him. I am happy Rick figured out how to be a Daddy. I was just a bit disappointed that the age play was mentioned but never happened. I feel that a age play scene between Joey and Rick would have been awesome. I also feel that a lot of this book only focused on all the negatives in Joey and Rick's life like the Blake story and him having anxiety and not coping I would have liked a bit more positive time between them. this book was amazing really a must read I just don't feel like this is the end of Joey and Rick i would have liked a short or maybe another book where they actually go to the club together where joey kinda gets his life back and can be a little as he always wished to be.
How I've been waiting for the continuing of Joey's story. I loved him and Rick from the moment I read the first book and this was such a lovely finish. Rick, who isn't perfect but is trying so hard to give his boy what he needs, and Joey who is so strong and sweet. Their sweet moments are lovely and the angst simmers throughout the book, making it a perfect combination. I only wanted it to be longer. I wanted more and I think I have to go back to the first book again, just to relive their beginning.
This is an amazing ending to a wonderful series and I am so glad that Joey and Rick get their well deserved HEA. Trust is exactly what Joey needs to have so that his and Rick's relationship can grow and give them both everything they want. They both struggle a bit as the trial draws closer but their love for each other is unwavering. I love how much support they get from their friends and Rick's delightful parents. The ending is perfect and I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This was a perfect ending for this trilogy, beauty and pain, heartbreak and triumph, just so much raw emotion, finally Blake gets what’s coming to him, an evil monster. The love between Rick and Joey stole my heart, a fitting end. I will read these books again.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book for my honest opinions of which I’m under no obligation to do so. I absolutely recommend this book.
This is the third and final story in the 'Joey' series, I must congratulate this author on approaching such a difficult, horrific subject so beautifully. The later part of this may have put me off, I don't like Daddy/Little situations, but she made it mild and sweet, I was OK with it. You'll go through many emotions reading this, it's funny, sweet, horrific, and you will feel so much anger, but Joey so deserves his HEA.
A beautiful ending to Joey and Rick’s story. We are taken deeper into Rick and Joey’s characters, their lives together and their romance. It’s not always easy reading what Joey suffered previously but I had the hugest smile on my face at the end. The villain gets his comeuppance and they get their HEA, after a couple of little bumps along the way.
I finished this beauty in two hours, I think. It left me with slightly red eyes and a giddy smile on my face. I absolutely adored Joey and Rick and I'm glad Joey got his happy ending.
I also kinda wish Maisie had their own story. I adored them.
Reread 02/2021: Still made me cry. Was still absolutely beautiful.
I have enjoyed Joey and Rick's story and this was a nice final book. There wasn't a whole lot that happened within it, not going to lie. But I enjoyed getting to revisit their relationship and see them become closer. I loved the visit they took to Rick's mom and dad's house. It was nice to see Rick as something other than the powerful, rich businessman.
The story did feel a bit rushed. The trial had less drama than the build up to it, and very little else happened as I said before. So mostly it was putting a period to their love and feeling it was finally wrapped up. I would have liked to see more of their Daddy/boy dynamic and to see Joey starting with therapy or whatever his healing journey will be. But this story sort of skimmed over things, particularly Joey visiting his mother's grave and the house where it all happened. Very short mentions in the scheme of things. The author did mention this was a tough book for her to write, I could see that.
But overall enjoyed Rick and Joey and would love to read Maisie and Ian's love as well as Charlotte and Charles. That would be great.
This is the conclusion to Joey and Rick's story. The author once again brings an emotional and heartbreaking story with a cast of well developed characters. She holds nothing back, showing Joey's anxiety and fears as well as Rick's patience and love as he works toward Joey's trust. You can feel the emotions coming off the pages as Joey gains more confidence and courage through the help of Rick , his friends and new family. This is not an easy story to read and has many triggers but was written beautifully by this author. Well done.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
I loved the conclusion to this series. Joey, what can I say. I just wanted to give him a hug and tell him to hang in there. The author definitely did justice to this book. Totally satisfied with the end. It was an emotional ride but totally worth it. Highly recommend this series.
This series of books about Rick and Joey is emotional and sweet and difficult when I read the horrible things that happened to Joey. I loved Joey's relationship with Rick and I am glad that we got to see Joey stand up for himself at the trial. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
I'm horrible at writing reviews but I absolutely loved this story. The way everyone rallied around Joey is heartwarming! He is so well written that I found myself wanting to wrap him up in bubble wrap to keep him safe! Can't wait to see what else the author is going to write.
All three books in this series were well written and handled the situation of abuse excellently. It is always hard to imagine that monsters like your character exist, but unfortunately they do even in fiction. Well written. Hated to read the last page and have the books end.
This is a such a well written, powerfully emotional series and Trust was a great final book. I was truly invested in Rock and Joey's story and know I will definitely be reading this series again soon.
This was truly the perfect ending to this series. Joey had a hard journey and will continue to but it’s getting better with Rick’s love and guidance along with other help. Joey has a beautiful soul and it can finally shine!!
Oh what a way to end the series. Angelique truly did Rick and Joey justice. These characters are so well rounded, and the emotions feel so real. I loved this series so much.
It was a fantastic ending to a beautiful story. Joey deserved the world after what he went through. Rick was the perfect person to show how much love he deserved
I loved this series so much, I loved Joey, he is an amazing character, so sweet and brave. He deserved all the good in the world. Rick and Joey are perfect together and I'm going to miss them a lot. I need a Maisie/Ian book now!
I have enjoyed being alongside Joey and Rick from the beginning. The two make a great couple and it was nice to see them fight for their love. Joey has to be so much stronger than he ever imagined he could be but with Rick at his side he will fight hard to regain his life. I loved seeing everyone gather and fight to protect Joey during this time. So many great personalities shine alongside Joey and Rick making this book a wonderful read.
This was a very interesting and enjoyable read, filled with so much love, protection and trust. It took a lot for Joey to finally see, that Ricky really had faith in him. I've read all three books in the series, and they both went through a lot of pain and suffering. I was hoping that there would be more additions to the series, about their friends, especially one about Maisie.
