I'm going to start out by saying before I read halfway through, I bought them. I not only bought them for me but my mom and daughter as well. The first 6 books it may be 7 I'm not 100% sure are totally serious. They are great books with unique characters but they're all pretty much life and death with no breathers. The rest after that, while still life and death and some new characters, have a massive amount of comedy thrown in. When it comes to how the zoo functions it kind of reminded me of avatar. It's all interconnected but this is on a much larger scale.The zoo is a learning alien organism that is trying to turn our world into an environment wanted by aliens. They shot a biological bomb at us. We knocked the bomb off course but as we're prone to do we decided to experiment and this is what followed. While I love the characters I really enjoyed the new species of animals that were introduced. They're all a combinations of current species. Everything is out to get us. Nothing is safe in the zoo. I could spend hours talking about these books. Even though this is a series of 12, each one is actually a short read. A couple hours at most. I laughed and cried reading them. I'm not sure why exactly this set popped up but I'm happy it did. There's a lot of unnecessary language. That's really my only complaint.

Almost gets a high rating. Starts off great; energy, adventure, guns and bugs. But ... there is no way a such a lethal place as the Zoo would be allowed to exist on Earth. No one would be greedy enough to endanger the planet to that degree. Or would they?
At about the halfway point there is a change of cast and a drop in originality of the stories. I skipped ahead to the end and there was no real conclusion either, which was a disappointment.

Let's go to the Zoo
Just finished my final trip into the zoo, it was brilliant, I loved all the different stories and the amazing characters. Then there's the nasty weird critters, I would not like to meet in the real world. I would like to read more stories with Manny, Ava and the rest of the gang. I recommend reading these books, you won't be disappointed.

Great set of books!!
Michael and Michael put together some fantastic stories! Even though I'm coming at it basaquards and am reading after McFadden and Banks. Love it like always and would recommend anything that The All Mighty Anderle the Great puts his name on. He has the talent of finding great authors to add to his adventurous worlds. Keep up the great work guys

Great
I read these individually , but it was worth reading them again , especially without the wait between stories.
I really enjoy the zoo books . Try them , you'll be hooked.
