Once upon a time… I held her life in my hands. Felt her heartbeat like the wings of a hummingbird; fast and light. I'm not the prince riding on a white horse. I'm the villain wearing black Armani.

Our destiny was always dark even from the very beginning.
Two twisted souls, brought into the world with the stain of sin marking us more than the rest.

We make Romeo and Juliet look like a Disney Film.
Our dark love skates on the edge of insanity.
How far will she go to avenge her family?
How far will I go to bring my twisted Cinderella to her knees?

I've done many things.
Bad things.
Evil things.
Necessary things… but one thing I've never done is fall in love. Love makes a man weak. Love is an enemy. When she made my black heart bleed I knew I had no choice but to go to war.

Born to a life consumed by death. Each to opposing mafia families. Their choices never their own, futures already determined. This is the story of Roque and Romina. We witness how Roque’s crucial decision forever twists and turns their worlds together into a fated, dark and vicious dance, full of angst. We learn the back story of Roque and what made him the way he is…cold, hard, calculating, unloving.

Jax Hart’s stories are known for their alpha male and strong female lead characters and this one doesn’t disappoint! We get a glimpse of Roque in other stories, but this one is all his. He is too dynamic of a character to only have one book! This is the first book in the series, so it does end in a cliffhanger. This is a sit on the edge of your seat, captivating, page turner you won’t want to put down. I highly recommend and can’t wait for the next one!

Wow!! Things get off to an epic start as book one of Roque and Romina's story unfolds. Raw emotion and intensity play huge parts in this enticing tale. This captivating dark romance is fueled by a simply intoxicating combination of danger, excitement, action, tension, turmoil and desire. Since this is only book one there is a cliffhanger ahead, so try to prepare yourself ahead of time for the jaw-drop and wait for book two. This is my sincere, elective review.

I don't know where to begin. This book had me in knots and my anxiety shot through the roof with how good the story was told. Roque and Romina will break you and piece you back together in a good way. Their story is raw, real and oh so vulnerable, that it will leave you yearning for more. Jax Hart took this to another level and put me in a spot I never thought I'd find myself in and love it!

This is the 1st in a new series and what a mind-blowing beginning this is! Roque and Romina’s story are dark, intense, raw, gritty, and twisted and with action, betrayal, loyalty, and sacrifices which all lead to a realistic and all-consuming masterpiece. I was intrigued and captivated throughout this addictive tale and cannot wait for the next book in this fascinating series.

This is basically a retelling of what happened next. This is Roque's story from his point of view and then his little Red, Romina or little blue in this part of his life, from her stolen diaries.

This continues from the MC part when he rescued the two young preteen girls. He tells his side and then Chloe reads from the diary. It does not sound like a diary entry but instead like she was there telling it herself. It's good and a decent amount of Mafia time's with a side order of hot steamy times.

OMG! I was totally blown away by this book! I can't put into words how much I loved Roque and Romina's story. It's wickedly dark, twisted, intense, full of page turning suspense, and it's all consuming from the first page until the last. This was a phenomenal read, exceeded my expectations and a definite page turner in the true sense of the word. I highly recommend you give it a read you won't be disappointed.

This is a Mafia hate/romance!
Reading this I felt like reading a story within a a story! At the beginning I was confused and have mixed feelings, I couldn't decide to love or hate the MC's? But as the story continues I started to warm Up to them and actually like them but .... it end up with a cliffhanger!!!
I didn't know it's a series!! And now I have to wait for the 2nd book 🤦‍♀️ God I hate when authors do that.

Super unrealistic and inaccurate. Still was ok to read. However, in the second installment H and h are not calibrate. This, in my book, is cheating. So, no thanks, not gonna continue.

Ok.. wow... Jax Hart what have you done!? Hook, line, and sinker...I'm totally addicted and need more.

So, Roque is the first book in The Salvatore Syndicate series and it is intense, suspenseful and raw. The mafia world is beautifully presented with all its viciousness and brutality. It's a dark and dangerous world and the suspenseful plotline captured my attention from the first pages.

Roque and Romina's destinies seem intertwined. They both have to sacrifice the life they knew back in Italy and reinvent themselves in America. Growing up in a mafia family can be extremely rough and they learn that the hard way. They both have to make sacrifices to survive but that only makes them stronger. Roque is a force of nature, he exudes power and knows how to play the game to become the mafia king. He's smart, cunning and devastatingly handsome and won't let anyone stand in his way. Romina lost her family when she was just a kid and now she's out for revenge. In order to that, she has to be merciless and become the strongest version of herself. She wants to spill Roque's blood and finish what he started those many years ago. But when their paths cross again, the sizzling chemistry between them turns into something more, and for a moment she forgets her plans and gives in to passion and attraction that's always been brewing between her and Roque.

Secrets, lies, deceit and lots of twists and turns make this story a rollercoaster of emotions. Roque and Romina's journey has just begun but I have a feeling things are gonna get even more heated. The chase is on and at this point, I can't imagine who will come out the victor. I can't wait to see what happens next. I highly recommend reading this story.

The Salvatore family has many enemies, none more than the Fiorelli family. In the blink of an eye, the Fiorelli family were gone, with the help of the Salvatore's that is. Well almost all of them, Romina Fiorelli remained. After years of preparation and plotting her revenge, Romina inserts herself into Roque Salvatore's life. The two met previously years ago. Since that fateful day, Roque has been preparing to take his rightful position within his family. He plans on being the most powerful Don America has ever seen. Romina has plans for Roque though and if she has her way, he won't live to see his dream come true.
WOW !!! MORE PLEASE !
I left a very vague description above because this book plays out so beautifully when read and I didn't want to give anything else away. The way the story is told is brilliant !
In previous books we've learned bits and pieces about Roque, but in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine this to be his story. I LOVED IT AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE ! ! !

Roque is THE book to read right now. Jax wrote a book that takes you into Roque and Romina's life, you live and breath them. Both of them are mafia royalty, and to be honest, are at each other throats. But I love how Jax does this story, it is a story within a story. It was so different that you fall in love with it.

I refuse to give anything away with this review, I had to read Roque and fall in love with the story so I think everyone else should. I will say the cliffy pissed me off, not because I didn't know about it, but because I was so into this story that I didn't want it to end. That is how good this book is. The characters are not good or bad, they just are. I didn't feel for Roque more than Romina. They are both redeemable, both have hate and love in them. I can not wait to see where Jax takes us in the next two books!

This is the first book in the Salvatore Syndicate series, and the story of Roque, and Romina. Their story takes of a whirlwind of twist, and turns, that kept me captivated, and engaged the whole way through. This was well written, the characters have great chemistry, and I can't wait to continue this series. This was steamy, emotional, raw, gritty, intense, twisted, dark, and suspenseful.

Great new mafia romance! The Salvatore family almost wiped out the entire Fiorelli family and Romina Fiorelli plans to get her revenge. Romina gets close to Roque and plans to use him in her plot. Will she finally get the revenge she seeks? Fast-paced with loads of twists and turns and intense chemistry. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it!

I'm still so blown away by Roque, this review will be short & sweet since I'm terrified I'll accidentally give something away. This story isn't for the weak, but it is so worth reading. My emotions were as explosive as the plot, as Roque & Romina's story is EPIC in the crime family trope. There was a forbidden love situation which set off a series of events filled with all kinds of twists. You know the kind, those twists are completely turned out, while the turns were unrecognizable from being so twisted up, leaving me silent after so many f-bombs dropped. Family loyalty plays a big part, betrayal is like a custom made Armani suit, and what it a ride it all was. Jax Hart is a descriptive genius, as I felt everything along with them cover to cover, while my emotions were all over the place, and the cliffy has me dying inside now. This is a story that EVERYONE needs to be one clicking because it's more than just a 5 star read! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A love story similar to Romeo and Juliet but in the mafia world.
The first time that Roque Salvatore and Romina Fiorela see each other’s faces is at a funeral, where his family kills her father, but when it is time to kill Romina, Roque cannot do it and end up saving her that day with the promise that one day will come back for her. At this moment he is 15 and she is 12.
It takes several years for theirs paths to cross again, although Roque has not been able to forget the girl with red hair, she is his obsession.
But when Romina approaches him again she does with another name and another look, she has now blue hair.
They spend a lot of time together and they end falling in love and Romina almost give up her plans for revenge and reveal her true identity.
But in the end, Roque finds out the day of his wedding with another woman, and Romina finding about this, renews her plans of revenge.
It’s a story that I ❤️ and I’m starting the next book now to see how all this drama continues.

“I’ve already sampled you anyway.” “And yet you keep craving more.” His eyes turned black blue. “I want to fucking devour every square inch of you.” “Too bad,” I shrugged nonchalantly, despite my rapidly racing heart. “I’m not legal.”“I can still devour you, Blue. There’s more than one way to do that.” “I’m not some high school fantasy.” “No. No you are not. You are a fucking hurricane—my personal storm.” “No. I’m your fucking worst nightmare.”

“One look and I knew, Blue. Don’t worry if you don’t know who you are yet, you’re still so young. But I do. I know who you are.” “Who might that be?” “Mine. Inexplicably, undeniably mine and I never thought you existed. That a woman like you could exist for me.” “This is crazy. You… we are crazy. We barely know one another.” “That’s a lie if I ever heard one and you know it.”

“Mine. No one else’s.” “Making demands already?” I nodded. “As much as you are going to take, you must give to me.” He studied me then dipped his head. “If you want every last piece of my damned soul; it’s yours.”

“Romina.” My heart hammered. His voice was low, deadly and rubbed across my bruised heart like sandpaper. When he spoke my true name, it cut through me like a knife. “Roque.”“I’m coming for you. This time I won’t hesitate to finish what I should’ve…” “Try,” I scoffed. “But you’re mistaken, I’m the one coming for you.”

Roque Salvatore. If you've read, The Creed MC series, by Jax Hart, then you know his name. It should invoke brooding intensity, supreme alpha-male confidence beyond normal thresholds, knowledge of a self-made king, and a need to sit in the shadows and watch him while breathing deeply. He's the man every woman wants, but cannot ever truly handle. A beautiful monster with eyes the color of arctic ice. A self-made royal who reigns supreme in his world. There's a heart lurking in that chest, but only one can find it. However, finding it, and keeping it, are two very different things.

Roque, Book 1 in the Salvatore Syndicate, is his story. Well, it's his story, it's her story, it's their story. At first is seems fast paced, maybe even a little rushed, but that's what you'd expect from young love with a side of goal focused destruction on both sides. Then, you read on, and find it's just as it should be. The whirlwind of that one person who, in a single moment, invades your soul. The shadow of their very being haunting you. The shadow of their wanting and desire, whether the outcome is good or bad, cooling even your warmest moments. The shadow that invades your dreams and scratches at the edges of your mind, turning your heart to ice.

Read Roque's story and enter the court of this mafia king. Stand in the presence of his cold stare and gauge whether or not you can stand the white hot heat that boils around him. One woman has approached the throne, and lived to tell the tale, so far. Will she topple the kingdom, or build a new fortress? Read and find out.

Roque's story is just the beginning. Anything by Jax is going to give you no small amount of angst, a bit of bliss, and a healthy side of chaos. Oh, and maybe a bit more sexual intensity to really hit you in the feels. Go ahead. Grab Roque and see if you can handle him. Warning, he may be the coldest as king of his world, but you might get burned in the end.

I was generously given an ARC of this novel to honestly review.

This is a new author to me. I loved the blurb and knew I had to read it. I was not disappointed. Well, a little disappointed I’m really not a fan of cliffhangers. I look forward to the next installment, Requiem.

Roque Salvatore’s family has many enemies and is the last of his family. He has been preparing to take his rightful position within his family. First, he must become the most powerful Don the world has ever seen, and the best place to start is in America.

Romina Fiorelli’s family was taken out in one night, leaving her alone with her grandfather. After years of her hatred fueling her determination, preparation and plotting her revenge towards Roque, she finds a way to insert herself into his life to dish her revenge. Will she destroy him or fall in love with him? Will he destroy her or fall in love with her?

Jax Hart has a way to write a brilliant story! From the first chapter to the last I was encaged and enthralled with the characters and the events in their lives. Yes, this is a dark, intense, and full of suspense.

I read this book through Kindle Unlimited and writing my honest review.

Please edit - I ama fairly new reader to this author. I did enjoy the Creed MC series. I also didn’t realize that Roque's story is in 3 parts so .... I’m patiently waiting for books 2 and 3. I thought 2 and 3 would be about a new character and when the same characters are staring in more than 1 book I usually wait til I have all the parts but I didn’t realize. So I have read it and now my toe is tappin! I did enjoy the story. There are lots of twists and turns which I found compelling. The story does end in a cliffhanger which is something I usually avoid at all costs but it is what it is. I read an arc, so I am hoping, hoping, hoping, the author does a better edit job in the final. The amount of edits were over the top frustration and took away from the read. Auto correct is far from enough, grammar programs are far from enough. This story had many wrong words, wrong grammar choices and mistakes. Fingers crossed as I thought there were far to many for even an arc. Normally, I allow for mistakes and rate according to story but, in this case, the arc was so sloppy it was hard to read.

Roque Salvatore was supposed to have silenced Romina Fiorelli forever, but something called to his 15 year old self and he let her go promising will find her when they are older and he has become the man he's destined to be, and that is he most powerful boss ever. When he's learned all he needs, he and his cousins leave Italy for America.
Romina has already left Italy and is staying with the only family she as left, her Uncle in America and she is set on training herself to exact her revenge.
She hires a PI and finds Roque, disguises herself and infiltrates his friends, but things don't go as planned.

This is a really intense and dark story, it's one that had me on the edge, waiting to see if Roque recognises Romina, there are twists and turns and lots going on. To top it off, this ends on a cliff hanger so now I'm impatiently waiting to find out what happens next.

I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion.

PHENOMENAL!!!

this book really deserves 10 stars it’s that amazing!! I’ve been waiting for Rogue’s story for a long time. I am so excited to finally get a look into his past and see how he became one of my favorite characters. I love to see the glimpse of his softer side with Chloe, and how ruthless the monster could truly be.

Romina was awesome from the start .
Being in such a hard life and seeing such tragic things, she is so strong and determined. Even though it’s vengeance that drives her. But when Rogue and Romina are together, it’s explosive! They are truly destined to either love or destroy one another. I’m hoping they both finally get there HEA . It’s gonna be one hell of a ride , that’s for sure. I absolutely feel this is a must read and I can’t wait for the next book ❤️

It’s 2:01am and I’m in my bed crying because of this wonderful heart breaking book. It’s killing me!!!!

First time reading a Jax Hart book and let me just tell you she writes one mean mafia book!!! I love Romina!!!

Romina and Roque are mortal enemies from different mafia houses but they find themselves in an awkward situation because they feel more then just revenge for each other, Yay!!!!! I love how strong the character of Romina is, she is one BA chick and knows how to fight and do things by herself. The only thing I did not like was how she handled the situation, I think there was a better way to save everything (sigh) on another note, I hate Roque so much!!! OMG!! I cannot wait for the next book, That ending left me with so many questions.

I need it!!!!!! I need a happy ending please!!!!!! I love you Jax Hart for writing this lovely book 😉 😘

THIS BOOK HAS EVERYTHING THAT WILL HOOK YOU. ITS A MAFIA STORY OF TWO CHILDREN FROM DIFFERENT FAMILIES. FAMILIES THAT ARE ENEMIES EACH HAVING KILLED ONE ANOTHERS FAMILIES MEMBERS BUT THESE TWO CHILDREN HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT BE BORN INTO A WAR THAT THEY HAVE NO SAY IN.
ROQUE AND ROMINA DESERVE SO MUCH MORE THAN THEY GOT, THEY ARE TWO SOUL MATES WHO DESERVE TO LOVE EACH OTHER.
THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING READ AND I CAN NOT WAIT TO READ THE SECOND BOOK. I DONT KNOW HOW MY HEART IS GOING TO COPE WITH THE WAIT.

Is she his enemy or his Queen?

ROQUE is the first book in THE SALVATORE SYNDICATE series and is story of Roque and Romina. They are from warring mafia families and therefore are enemies. When Roque takes of the family and becomes the new Don he has to decide if Romina is really his enemy or as he feels in his soul she is his one, his Queen.
The story is fast-paced and has it all - action, suspense, adventure, drama, danger, intrigue, family, violence, pain, romance, lust, love and so much more. So be ready for a rollercoaster of a ride when you read Roque.
Be warned that this book does end with a cliffhanger so be prepared to read the next in the series, Requiem, to see what happens.

This is a 3.75 rating.

I actually really enjoyed this book. I’m not much of a sucker for mafia romance, and though I like my boys bad, I don’t find murder, sex trafficking or drugs sexy. Even in my delicious world of books. Quick note here though: this mafiosa does not include sex trafficking or drugs. I was talking in general about my book preferences.

Both hero and heroines were strong characters with enough of crazy in them 😊 Its your typical vengeance storyline but the author did it her own way keeping it from being cliché.

I would have rated higher but this story needs some serious editing. That includes both grammer and a good mani/pedi to knit the story together. In fact, the mistakes in the book was enough to distract me from the story, I felt like I was reading a book out of Wattpad.

But will this keep me from reading book 2? Definitely not! 😄 So off I go…

Only one can make me feel this way

You are the new Don in your family business but you must first learn all you can about being a leader before you take the crown. The only thing that could destroy your reign is falling in love with the enemy. But is she truly your enemy or your true queen?
Romina wants nothing more than to get the revenge on the one man who took everything from her. Falling in love has a way of ruining your plans. Is he really the enemy or her King that she truly needs.
Jax Hart you have definitely wrote a story that is hard to put down. You take us on the start of their journey and make us melt for the i be he has for both Blue and Chloe.
Recommend this for anyone that wants to read a love story with all the bad boy feels and actions.

Omg I don't know what to say except this book is amazing and I don't want to give away any spoilers. There are twists and turns along with pure emotion and that is what makes it a real page turner and so addictive. Roque and Romina is such a powerful dark story of loss, love, danger, betrayal and everything in between. This is the first book that I have read by Jax Hart but I will definitely come back and read more as it is so well written and it takes you in right from the first page. I definitely recommend you read this book and you will definitely not be disappointed.

Nope 🙅🏽‍♀️

A friend of mine bought me the paperback version of this book for xmas, the blurb sounded really good and I was excited to read as I love mafia books but this just wasn't it.

I didn't even make it to 20% bcoz sorry guys I don't want to read about a 15yr old boy losing his virginity in a 'wh#re house' to an adult and then asking her to teach him how to please a women... no thanks that is just gross. A 15yr old boy who spares his families enemies daughter instead of killing her and then talks about being obsessed with her after meeting her for 0.5 secs.

This wasn't it for me at all. Sorry.
