I have nowhere left to fall… I’ll never be King. But being sixth in line is both a blessing and a curse. My birth order affords me the privilege of loving whomever I choose, even if she’s a free-spirited rock star. She loves me back and that’s all the power I’ll ever need. Yet, the future of the kingdom lies in the hands of my asshole cousin, who will absolutely lead our country into a civil war if he takes the throne. I wish I could ignore the fact that the first-born son of the King is the last person who should rule.If I could, I would focus on making Casey Hart mine and building a life with the girl I’ve loved most of my life. But fate has other plans... and the Kingdom isn’t the only thing at risk of falling.
Goodness…I honestly don’t know where to start with this book. Nowhere Left to Fall is book one in The Nowhere Trilogy, and I will say it is NOT a standalone. It does have one doozy of a cliffhanger, but I’ll get to that in a bit.
Wow, there’s a lot that goes on in this book. But first… Meet Casey. She’s a rock and roll goddess that just finished up a tour with her band. She’s feisty, fun, and uniquely independent. She’s not a girly-girl, but never turns down a shopping experience if she doesn’t have to. Now meet Erik. First born prince of an abdicated king, Erik does his duty for the crown with no chance in ever ruling the kingdom. He’s controlled, a bit stuffy (if you ask Casey), and so handsome he could stop traffic.
Casey and Erik have known each other since they were children, as their parents are very close. And as the years have passed, they’ve each grown to have unrequited crushes on each other, unbeknownst to the other. But when the chance arises for them to spend some quality time together, neither passes on the opportunity. So what started out as crushes quickly turn to desire and intrigue. But as Casey and Erik build on their burgeoning relationship, a devastating and alarming tragedy happens in Limaj, along with the rise of a not-so-beloved crown prince.
Now that’s all I’m going to say, because if I don’t stop now, I’ll end up giving away everything. And that just cannot happen.
Nowhere Left to Fall is sexy, thrilling, and undoubtedly emotional. Casey and Erik’s chemistry blossoms with every turn of the page, and their love shines bright and true throughout the entire book. But it’s the treacherous and underlying danger and suspense that makes you clench your bedsheets and hold your breath with anticipation of what’s still to come. Because that cliffhanger (told you I’d get to it) is one you WILL NOT see coming, and one that will leave you dying to find out what happens next.

Nowhere Left to Fall was book one in Kat Mizera’s new Nowhere Trilogy and is not intended to be read as a standalone.
This book starts off as a whirl-wind Cinderella romance between a real life prince and a rockstar. Family friends since childhood, now that Casey and Erik are adults, they can finally explore the mutual attraction they didn’t know they had. Now that they admitted their feelings for one another, things move quickly and their love becomes intense from the start.
Just when things seem too good to be true, Casey and Erik realize they are and their world starts falling apart around them. Will their love be enough to pull them through the danger and drama they find themselves embedded in or will they both be left to fall?
Readers caught glimpses in prior books, but this trilogy takes us back in time to finally get her story. This book has super hot romance, royal intrigue and suspense and a whole lot of danger and drama as the story unfolds.
I really don’t know how to feel about this book. It was an emotional rollercoaster with lots of highs and lows and seemed to be very fast paced at times. I’m intrigued by the royal drama and can’t wait to see how that storyline plays out with Erik and his crazy cousin, now King of their homeland. I’m also nervous to read the next book because I really felt devastated for the way that Casey and Erik were left at the end of book one. I’ve been intrigued by Casey’s story since I first read her character in other books, and I hated seeing her in the position she was left in. I’m not sure how this trilogy plays out, because I’m having trouble thinking ahead and making it mix with glimpses of “future” Casey and what is happening now in her back story.
I’m not going to lie . . . I need book two now, even though I have a feeling it’s going to leave me feeling gutted. Bring it, Kat! 4 stars.
This is the first book that I have read from this author and it won’t be my last. It was such a great read. From page one, you will be sucked into this story and you won’t want it to end. This book was a perfect mix of romance, great characters and enough twist and turns that will make you scream when the book ends. Bring on book 2 and 3 because I need to know if Casey and Erik will be able to finally get to have their HEA.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
From heartstopping romance to cliffhanging drama, Mizera keeps emotions on full alert with Nowhere Left to Fall. Can the man who would be king protect what he loves most? Casey and Erik are a love story years in the making. Friends forever could be so much more, but life has a habit of getting in the way. There are moments when Mizera tries to tone down her magnificence. Fall gets off to a slow start, but finishes strong. The Nowhere Trilogy gets off to a nice start.
I had read the Sidewinder series and Casey popped up in it and when I realized she had her own books I knew I wanted to check them out. So I went into this one knowing a few things, good and bad.
What I found interesting in this one was that Casey and Erik had known each other their whole lives, yet nothing romantic happened until bam...one day, then both of them were all in. It was fun to see Casey navigate Erik's life as Royalty. I just hated how things ended for them, even if it was for the best.
Erik's country is in chaos thanks to his cousin's evil ways and outdated beliefs. When he sees his childhood friend, Casey, again, though, suddenly thoughts of his country aren't the most important thing on his mind any longer. But, how can a relationship between the two of them, she the queen of rock, and he the would be prince, work?
Nowhere Left to Fall is just the kind of love story I like best - twisty, emotionally layered, and sexy. The suspense and the twists and turns propel the story clear to the very end where we're left with a doozy of a cliffhanger, unfortunately. Now I'm very impatiently waiting until October now for Nowhere Left to Run!
Okay so this one started super slow for me.. Casey Hart is the rock and roll princess who has been in love with Erik the Prince of Limaj for as long as she can remember.. Their parents are such good friends they are like family but they never really got to spend much time together. When Casey decides to take a break from touring and just relax the last person she expects to relax with is Erik.. As their relationship grows and their feelings are stronger things start to get complicated. This is when the book shifts for me and holy cow now Kat is shining threw! Erik's country is in turmoil and his cousin, Anwar is next in line to take the throne and he is the last person who deserves it.. Erik will do anything he can to stop Anwar from ruining the family name and the country but will that include risking his relationship with Casey? This is book 1 of a trilogy so does end in a cliffhanger way
This is such a fantastic book, I couldn’t stop reading and devoured it in hours. I was so absorbed from page one. Loved how Casey always had a crush on Erik but didn’t think she was good enough for him. They fell so hard for each other. Loved how their parents were best friends. There’s so much suspense. His cousin Anwar is next in line to the throne since his Father abdicated before he was born. Anwar is definitely not someone who should be King. How evil is he? So much happens and I stayed on edge. I didn’t expect to cry, but I was so heartbroken for them. Erik comes up with a crazy plan towards the end. I can’t wait for the next book, it’s so great. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.
Nowhere Left to Fall was phenomenal!! What a great way to start a new trilogy!
Casey is a rock star whose bandmates decide they don’t want to tour anymore. Erik is royalty. Their families are friends and Casey has had a crush on Erik forever. They decide to spend time together. What happens when they decide to take their friendship to the next level?
What a great story!! The writing is fantastic and descriptive, there are twists and turns, and the characters are loveable. Well except Anwar- I wanted to smack him and his evil ways.
Romantic and sexy, Nowhere Left to Fall will keep you on the edge of your seat! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
We are left on a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to see what happens next!
You will be completely falling for this new series!
What a start to a series. Kat Mizera does it again in this tale of sex, romance, royalty and rock n’ roll! Casey comes from rockstar royalty and her childhood friend Erik, is royalty. These two reconnect and their passion not only smolders but ignites, as their road to each other and together is filled with twists and turns that makes this a complete page turner. Their storyline is endearing and engaging, as are the two main characters. In fact, as one would expect from Kat Mizer’s books, every character is well thought out and meaningful to the story. I truly enjoyed the first book in this series and I cannot wait for book 2 (Nowhere Left to Run) to come out. October cannot come soon enough!!! An absolute must-read!
4 1/2 stars Prince Erik was born to be King, but now he is 6th in line to the throne to Limaj. Having finished university, he has decided to go after his life long crush Casey. Casey is at crossroads in her own life and decided to invite Erik to a wild weekend in NYC. What should have been a quick fling, turns into a worldwide romance as we see the world through their eyes. Huge plot twist at the end that made me yell, OH NO SHE DIDN'T. Mizera created a fantastic world that she can use for so many books and I can't wait to read them all. The character develop is so detailed and fantastic.
The first book in a new trilogy. While it takes place for the most part in Las Vegas it has nothing to do with the Sidewinders series.
Both Casey and Erik are at crossroads when the reunite. Trying to find out what they want to do with their lives. One night of romance can’t do any harm can it? That night is the start of a new journey filled with love, hope but also sadness and grief.
While I enjoyed their story I wasn’t a huge fan of the secondary story about Limaj. It couldn’t hold my interest.
Nowhere Left to Fall is an emotional, unique, steamy, intense and amazing romance read. The royal/rocknroll romance is full of feels, angst, heat and plot twists that had me immediately stuck to my kindle to the end; Casey and Erik's love story is one that had me entertained and enthralled from start to finish. I loved the characters, chemistry, family, friends, and the Royal Scenes. Classic!! I can't wait for book 2 and more in this new series.
This was such an amazing book. I want to slap Erick, I know why he did what he did but really?!!!! ( eye roll) I love Casey’s character, love how awesome and amazing she is. She’s not fearless but she is so strong. I can’t wait to read what happens next The book, All the family drama is going to keep me on the Edge of my seat until the next book.
OMG! Nowhere Left to Fall is fantastic! With Casey and Erik's parents being close friends, Erik and Casey have known each other since childhood, but their lives are very different. Casey is a famous rock star who toured the world with her band. Erik is royalty who went to school in England and became an ambassador for his country. Sparks fly when Erik and Casey run into each other when both are back in Las Vegas visiting their parents. Casey and Erik have both been attracted to the other for years but didn't think the other felt the same way, but now have the time to explore that attraction. As Erik and Casey spend time together, their attraction and connection grows stronger and deeper, and they become inseparable. Erik's uncle, the King, offers Erik a seat in the Parliament, but Erik refuses saying he can't work with Anwar, his cousin and next in line for the throne, because he feels Anwar will lead the country backwards instead of forward because of his beliefs. With an unexpected pregnancy, Erik and Casey make plans to marry in Las Vegas with family and friends. When tragedy strikes the royal family, Erik heads home to help family flee. Erik learns that Anwar was behind the bombing that killed Anwar's father, mother, and brothers. Erik knows nobody with royal blood is safe from Anwar's power grab or vengeance when Anwar threatens Casey. Erik decides he must stop Anwar and knows Casey will be angry with his plan. What will Erik do to keep Casey and their unborn child safe? Will Casey agree to Erik's plan? I absolutely LOVED Nowhere Left to Fall by Kat Mizera. The chemistry and passion between Erik and Casey is like a blazing inferno. Casey and Erik are a formidable couple who make each other stronger. Loved the family dynamics of both families that will have you laughing out loud. Kat Mizera has an amazing ability of pulling the reader in at the beginning and not letting go until the final page. That is why Kat Mizera is a MUST read author for this reader. Nowhere Left to Fall is a great book with fantastic characters and full of scorching chemistry, love, danger, jealousy, and a cliffhanger. I would highly recommend getting Nowhere Left to Fall by Kat Mizera. Can't wait to read the next book in The Nowhere Trilogy series. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
OH MY EVERLOVIN' HELL! I really enjoy Kat Mizera's stories, but with Nowhere Left to Fall, she completely blew me away. PLUS, I'm truly dying inside with the way it ended, and now I realized it's going to be a Trilogy, so she truly is trying to KILL ME DEAD, so now I'm adding her to my list & hash tag her forever more #EW! It's the story of Rock Princess, Casey Hart, a famous rock star, and Erik, a true Prince who isn't in line for the throne but royal nonetheless. They have known each other since they were born, and all the parents involved always believed they would get together. She's at odds because she lost half her band in one fell swoop, so she decides to take a weekend to party with other musicians she knows before she decides what she's going to do next, and since Erik is visiting, she makes him go alone so he can lighten up. What happens next is a super sexy journey of these two falling in love. However, not everyone is happy about them together, not to mention, his country is in trouble since the cousin he despises, is next in line for the throne, and Erik knows he will destroy their country. Let me tell you, this story had me on edge the whole time, and there was no way I was putting it down unless the house caught fire, and even then, I would totally have my kindle in hand while getting to safety. It looks like Casey is going to get her happily ever after, when BAM! A cliffy so shocking, so intense, so out of the blue, that I'm truly dying inside because of it, & may or may not have some serious book PTSD. I'm not going to lie, I called Ms. Mizera so many colorful metaphors, and was still PISSED OFF, while I was trying to go to sleep because I just couldn't turn this story off even though I was finished with it. Finally, the teases of the next two books had me even further enraged because OMG, all of us are in for a ride from hell to get to the end. So, seriously, join me on the crazy train by one clicking this AMAZING story because at the end of the day, it's totally worth all the extreme emotional distress! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
She's a princess of rock 'n' roll. He's a Prince of Limaj. For as long as they have known each other Casey Hart and Erik al-Hassani have always been drawn to one another. Due to circumstances neither have acted upon their emotions, now all that has changed and hearts have opened ... but will they be broken?
After spending the past three years touring, Casey has decided to take time just to relax ... never did she suspect that this time would be spent with Erik. I absolutely loved watching their friendship blossom into something deeper. Casey is such an amazing woman, she's strong, fiesty, loving and extremely loyal to Erik when he faces a major life upheaval. Erik, what can I say about this man other than he was aimply divine. His love for Casey was so apparent, he continually treated her as his princess, it was obvious she meant absolutely everything to him. His fierce protection of her, from his cousin Anwar, was heartwarming. Casey and Erik belong together, they are soulmates whose passion and romance just needed to be given the opportunity to evolve.
Just when you think everything is flowing along smoothly, Kat Mizera throws in quite a few twists and turns that begins to build the suspense and tension. Erik's cousin has thrown his country into utter chaos and turmoil. What will Erik do to keep Anwar away from Casey? What will this mean for Erik and Casey's relationship?
I loved this book from the moment I started reading it. Kat's exceptional story and her writing drew me in and kept me turning the pages and completely spellbound until the end. That ending ... I was not expecting that at all ... one juicy cliffhanger.
I'm really looking forward to reading more of this trilogy. Definitely a recommended read.
👑 💜 High Drama, high emotions – I just loved it! 💜 👑
Kat Mizera is a new to me author, and I’ve seen and posted her intriguing sounding books on my blog for a wee while now. So, when this one came up, having the whole rocker and royalty thing happening, I absolutely had to grab it, never dreaming that it was the first of a trilogy with a cliff-hanger ending. I know I should read sh!t before I sign up for it!! I hate cliff-hangers with the blazing passion of a thousand suns, but, if I’d passed on this one, I would’ve missed out on a fantastic read. Royalty and the Rockstar, friends to lovers, it sounded like an easy read insta-love kind of thing, but no, it definitely wasn’t.
What it did involve were two people who had always been attracted to each other, never dreaming that the other could have been interested. Casey and Eric are both strong and successful people individually, and the families were lifelong friends, but they’d each considered the other out of their league.
It started out as an easy read, but holy hell it quickly grabbed my attention. I loved the characters of Casey and Erik, and the passion between them was palpable enough to chew on. My reading time passed quickly, the intrigue started to ramp up along with the emotions, and next thing I was in tears, not believing that the book had ended so abruptly and heartbreakingly. And there two more books to go!!!
Luckily, Kat Mizera has a tight release schedule for books 2 and 3, so for those who desperately need to have the whole series in your hot little hands before you start reading, you will not need to wait long, because let me tell you now, no-one wants to miss this series. 5 stars!
Casey and Erik have been known each other for years; their parents are such good friends that Casey calls Erik’s parents aunt and uncle. But their lives are very different. Casey’s father is a famous musician and Casey is a rock star. Erik’s father abdicated the throne to marry Erik’s mother, taking Erik from being the heir apparent to being a prince sixth in line to the throne. While Casey as been touring the world with her rock band, Erik has been getting an education and being an ambassador for his country.
Present time, Casey’s band has disbanded and she has returned home to Las Vegas. Erik has also gone to visit his parents in Las Vegas, putting Casey and Erik together for the first time in years. Both have had long time attractions to the other, neither knowing how the other felt. Now they are both adults and have time to explore their relationship.
I liked Casey’s passion for her music, her strength of character, and her genuine enjoyment of life and people. Erik is so swoon worthy, I don’t know where to begin. The two of them together are perfection.
This is the first book in a trilogy and the ending is a bit of a cliffhanger, but so worth it to have such a rich and detailed world for these two and their friends and family. The descriptions of Erik’s lifestyle (he is royalty), his home country, even the palace that is the royal family home are frosting on the cake of this love story. I’ve been a fan of Kat Mizera for years, but I have to say this series has taken my appreciation to a new level and I can’t wait to read more of this series.
I always get a little nervous when a go-to author of mine has a new series. I just worry that something new might not satisfy me like what I'm used to (Kat's hockey romances are AMAZING!). What I discovered though it that Kat has been holding back on her readers--Nowhere Left to Fall is fabulous.
I love that the two main characters, Erik and Casey, are complete opposites--he's royalty and she's a rockstar. Longtime friends because of their family's connection, the last thing you would expect is for these two to be together.
Kat has created such a beautiful tale, and I was simply blown away. It's just one of those stories you just keep reading and reading because you get so sucked into the storyline. Of course, I knew going in that this was part of a trilogy, so I wasn't upset with the cliffhanger ending. In fact, I got a little excited knowing that soon we'd have more.
I really love seeing this side of Kat's writing and I hope that she'll consider another story in this trope again. Her writing is so natural and fluid and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the outcome.
Great job, Kat, and you definitely deserve five stars!
Nowhere Left to Fall is beyond fabulous. Kat Mizera pulls you in from the start with Erik and Casey. I love the sizzle between these childhood friends. There is so much heat and passion between them that will leave you fanning yourself. Erik, you can't help but fall in love with him. His passion for his country and easy-going ways just make him so hot. I love how he tries to protect Casey from his cousin Anwar. Don't get me started on him. You will have to read this to see why I say that. Casey is not what you would expect from a rock and roll star. She is fabulous. I love her loyalty to Erik and how she doesn't back down easily. Nowhere Left to Fall is full of love and a suspenseful twist that will leave you itching to get your hands on the next book. I will say this, this is book one and you will need to read in order. I couldn't put this one down and was just sucked in from the start. I loved every moment of this one and felt a little gutted with Erik and Casey by the end. I need the next one now. Cliffy warning but it is oh so good. Go one-click this one.
A great start to this series, hoping there's not too long a wait for the next book. Eric and Casey are life long family friends but with Eric studying away they haven't spent much time with each other and neither of them realised the other had a huge crush on them. Casey a rockstar is at a crossroads in her life when her band members decide to split she decides to have some fun before deciding which path to take next with her life and Prince Eric joins her to prove hes not the stuffy snob Casey seems to think he is. The relationship between the pair is intense and moves at a very fast pace however it doesn't feel like the author is rushing thru their relationship its more like a comfortable progression because the pair have known eachother so long. Erics cousin Anwar next inline for the throne is pure evil and prepared to do whatever it takes to become king and take his country back into the dark ages with his old fashioned views. Can Eric keep Casey safe and protect his country, guess we'll need to wait for the next book to find out.
Royals, musicians, love and treason what more could you want! I loved how this was different to the many books out there about royal romances and musician love stories as both Erik and Casey have always known each other and had an attraction but never acted on it until now. There families know each other and both come from families with money, yet both Erik and Casey have real and relatable insecurities so you get them and where they are coming from. But if a growing relationship isn't enough there is also bad things happening back at home for Erik and as much as he wants to live his own life and see his country be brought up to date instead of living in the past with archaic rules and exceptions life there is about to get really bad. There are some sweet and funny moments (I love how the Queen was a fan of Casey!) as well as nervous times, tension, actions that will leave you aghast and an ending that will have you needing the next book STAT!!!!
Exceptional & Emotional! Erik & Casey’s story is the soul burning love story of your dreams! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
I’ve been a long time fan of Kat Mizera’s and would never miss a single story from her. This story is something different, it’s more! I’m am completely hooked on the energy and chemistry of these characters. They will tear you apart by the end (remember this is a trilogy).
If you love to be crushed in the best way then you are going to want to read this!
This is going on my list for best reads of this year.
This is the best story ever from Kat Mizera! Hands Down! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
This trilogy has started out making me feel ALL the feelings! Previously meeting Casey Hart in The Sidewinders series has made me excited to find out her backstory, and that of her “prince”. Erik and Casey have so much chemistry shown in the most beautiful and sexy of ways. Suspense is threaded throughout their storybook romance though, in the form of evil family members and heart stopping events. We wind up with a cliffhanger that doesn’t seem so bad (since the next book arrives shortly and we have an idea what is going to happen in the future). Ms. Mizera has done a phenomenal job of giving us the history of a character we already loved...and have helped us fall even more deeply!
Who are Casey, Nick, Jade, and BJ? What do they do for a living? Who is Erick? What are his duties? Who are Isak, Anwar, and the rest of the ilk? Where and what is Limaj? What happens when Casey finds herself with some unexpected down time? Who are Ben, Kari, Skye, and Omar? This book had me reading with putting it down for no more than 5 minutes at a time, ignoring adulting duties for the most part. Such a heart-wrenching story. It leaves off with a little bit of a cliff hanger. Gotta leave some meat on the bone for book 2, I suppose.

"Have you ever finished a book then want to side eye the author because you’re thinking just how could she end it this way? No just me now I know you’re lying.
I absolutely loved this book! Kat Mizera takes you on a wild ride in book one of this series. And I can’t wait to see what happens in book two. The love story of Casey and Erik is a wild ride since she is a rockstar and he is royalty. They are perfect together!" ~Natasha
This book is part of a series and I am dying to see what happens next and I just finished. Kat Mizera has a way of pulling the reader in and once you start one of her books, there is no putting it down until that last page. This book made me want more pages! Casey and Erik will consume you and are written so well, you will feel every word. ~Helen
Part 1 of the Nowhere trilogy staring Casey and Erik omg.... They both crushed on each other as kids but didn't think the other would look twice at them. They fell hard and fast but fate had other ideas. I wish I waited for parts 2 and 3 of this trilogy as I was gripped and left wanting more at the end.
Even when they fell for each other it was as if the still felt they weren't good enough despite being everything and more to each other. Casey feels her rocker lifestyle and past could embarrass Erik while Erik feels that the intense scrutiny of being with him puts too much pressure on Casey. Erik has to make the toughest decision of his life and just hope it turns out alright in the end but will Casey understand or end up hating him.
