The good news: my four guardians are more than just a brood of cocky dragons. I was drawn to this island to find them … my mates.

The sucky news: an ancient evil has marked me as its vessel, but I suppose one girl can’t have all the luck, right?

I was warned that second term would be a challenge, but nothing could have prepared me for this. As if things aren’t already hard enough, one innocent slipup threatens to cost me big time.

Every day, it gets harder to tell friend from foe. Especially with more than one enemy who wants to make sure I lose everything.

Thing is, no one has any idea how fiercely I’m willing to fight. I guess they’ll learn the hard way that I’m no pushover.

Giving up simply isn’t in my blood.

***

Note: DRAGON FIRE ACADEMY is an upper YA/NA reverse harem romance. This series will take you on a brand-new journey with a descendant of the beloved Seaton Falls shifters, featured in THE LOST ROYALS SAGA. So, keep an eye out for cameos from some of your favorite characters! New readers, rest assured; it’s completely unnecessary to read the first five books before embarking on this fresh chapter set in a world filled with fierce wolves, hotheaded dragons, and powerful witches you don’t want to cross.

Must read

Ahh-mazing follow up to book one. Rachel knocked it out of the park and leave a us with another epic cliffhanger. I love the dual POV and seeing things from the guys perspective. This book has all the feels. The storyline is intriguing, fast paced and never lulls.
This book picks up right where we left off of book one. Noelle survives her first shift and she can now feel her wolf, her dragon and her witch. The one power she has controlled the best, is now acting out of sorts, causing chaos at school. Her relationship with the guys moves forward by leaps and cements her as their queen. To bad there are a lot of twists and turns along the way, because nothing great is ever easy. The darkness is trying to take over Noelle, the Chief is on a power grab and Noelle is on the cusp of falling to evil. I don't think the Chief realizes the level of whoopass coming his way, both from Noelle and her family. Noelle has leveled up and is looking for revenge. I don't want to post spoilers, but this is a must read! Absolutely unputdownable!

Book 1 was good but this one was better. There is so much going on that I don't even know if I can wrap my head around it. This author really draws the reader into the world and the characters. You can't help but be fully immersed into this book.

I love that Noelle and Blythe have resolved their differences. She has proven herself to be a true friend. I think Noelle is gonna needs all her friends to get through this. Her friends are awesome and I really like these characters.

I really like the guys even more than before. Kai was my favorite in book one but I thin Ori takes it this time. He has really opened up and I believe he has a big heart.

The chief is the only character that I think we have only scratched the surface of. I don't feel he is trustworthy. I think there is more than meets the eye with him. The dark witches he is using is only the beginning. I am anxious to find out what he is really up to you.

Holy Hannah! If Noelle didn't have a hard enough time in the last book, book two has her enduring a multitude of events! After shifting for the first time a mysterious tattoo appears that isn't quite what the Omegas expected. Now they're desperate to learn what it means. Their hive starts acting odd and out of sync, and worst of all their Chief begins to show his true colors.... And it's not pheasant. It starts to look like Darkness is getting stronger. Mysterious allies of the Chief show up, and communication to the mainland is cut off. Somehow Noelle's friends are determined to contact her family for help. If there's one thing I learned from reading The Lost Royals series it's NOT to count this family out. Anyone thinking Noelle is out for the count is seriously misinformed. I've no doubt her hive and she will come together and kick some major supernatural bum!!! In this book Noelle and her guys endure MANY obstacles. However I think Spirit may be testing them, and finding a way to form them into a COMPLETELY unbreakable bond. The Chief has another thing coming thinking he can overpower Noelle... and just you wait until her nearest and dearest back home figure out what's going on ... SMH. The Darkness doesn't know what kind of battle its truly started, but Noelle, her hive, and loved ones WILL be the ones to finish it!

Oh no, it got worse.

This just didn't have a plotline? Nothing of importance occurred?

I thought this was primarily a paranormal story with a romance in the backburner, but for some reason, neither the romance nor the paranormal part was on the front lines? There just wasn't a story?

I apologize for all the question marks, but I am genuinely confused.

I didn't like any of the characters, there wasn't any action to distract me from the nonexistent character development, and there wasn't even witty dialogue to rescue the bad writing. A disappointment from start to finish, and I sadly will not be continuing this series.

And I'm out.

Here's the thing about Rachel, I start to hate her midway through the book. You know why? Because, I know I'll be left without the next installment for a few months. I know the book will end soon and I'll be scratching like a proverbial crackhead for her next work. Because I know I'll have to try and find a world to get lost in until she builds one again; it more than likely won't satisfy me quite like a Rachel Jonas book. So there, the top reasons I begin to hate Rachel but also the reasons why I love her. She delivers. Simple as that.

4.5 ish WTH is going on here in this freaking book stars. More and more information is coming to light and it seems that maybe this darkness is an older enemy than even we can fathom. Our FMC, Noelle has finally taken on her transformation and while she seems to have survived I'm not quite sure she is in control. In fact I'm pretty sure she is riding back seat on this roller coaster. More and more secrets are being kept and its incredibly frustrating.. really. I feel like if Noelle could just pull her head out and have some trust in her dudes and stop trying to separate them with secrets this could be a much smoother ride. Not to mention the darkness.. Its pretty obvious what is happening.. Its almost like the parable of the two wolves, one light and one dark and the one who wins is the one you feed. FREAKING DUH!

Noelle is out of control and her lack of self esteem and confidence is compounded even further by her lack of control but its almost like shes not even trying. Their is so much shade happening. I will say that Noelle is a T total bad A when she gets angry.. unfortunately thats the only time she seems that way. Enter ye old enemy Blythe... aren't we supposed to be watching who we trust? I'm a little skeptical of the about face queen B here.

While I did rate this higher than the last book I feel like we are loosing some of our depth by the fast pace of all the action. Even still, we have no clue wtf is happening and why. Only small hints here and there and its getting incredibly frustrating. I must have answers.

AHHHHH! The second book was everything I wanted and more. Noelle has a hard time using her magic after she shifts for the first time. Strongly influenced by the dark, she is left with the entire academy fearing her and of course the guys made me love them even more. No matter what happens they never leave her side. Each one of them slowly opening up to her. Blythe and Noelle start to get closer, which I was skeptical at first but now I am really enjoying her as a character and she proves to be very useful towards the end of the book. In the first book I got a strange felling about the Chief from the way he acted and the things he did. Now finished with the second one I defiantly dislike him. He is up to something and I am curious to find out what exactly that is. Especially it's because of him Noelle is not thinking straight and acting out of rage. Now it seems like her family might be the only ones who will be able to help, which I am extremely excited for. Of course like always left with a cliffhanger and now don't know what to do with myself until the next on comes out. I need answers. Highly recommend you read this series as you wont be disappointed!

Noelle and her guardians are back and right where we left them.
In a cold dark cave in the middle of a storm.
Obviously.

Second Term picks right up where First Term ended and Noelle and the guys are all a bit shocked.

One: they are all still alive
Two: Noelle didn’t go on a crazy rampage (whew)
Three: there’s something different about Noelle, besides the fact she’s a witch, dragon , and wolf, those are just the obvious.

With the shocking revelation discovered our Queen and her mates must continue to try to keep the darkness at bay not only on the island but within the hive itself.

Tensions build, dragon fire gets hotter, and the steamy scenes are scorching in this second installment of Rachel’s epic fantasy series featuring the daughter of one of our favorite dragon princesses.

But when a devastating blow rocks Noelles very soul, will she push everything to far? Can the hive ever forgive the choices she’ll ultimately have to make when the fires can no longer keep the darkness subdued ?

Five Stars for The Dragon Academy and the sweeping world of magic that Rachel continues to create.

What a book! Rachel has definitely surprised me with this second book in the dragonfire academy series. The plot thickened and took a direction that I couldn't have seen coming, and I loved that. Having a story grip you and drag you into an exciting world is what reading should be. Rachel delivers with a read that's full of emotions and will have you refusing to put it down. Noelle is a loveable character that you wish you could know in real life. The omega's are the ultimate boyfriends that every girl wishes she could have. The fact that the story was unpredictable was a beautiful thing. And that ending... I'm salivating for the next book just to see what Rachel has in store for us. When it comes to academy books, this series is one of my favourites! Epic start and epic finish to this book! I'm in awe of beautifully written story that had my emotions going up and down and how the characters jumped off the page! Well done Rachel! Absolutely loved this second instalment and devoured every page!

The second book to the Dragon Fire Academy was as amazing as the first. Noelle and her hive are finally aware and accepting that they're mates, while Noelle has finally came fully into her powers without causing the destruction she feared would initially happen. I loved the relationship development between all the characters whether it be between Noelle and one of her hive or between Noelle and even Bythe. The cliffhanger at the end has me wondering what's going to happen next with these characters and if they will be able to handle the darkness that's on the island. If you haven't started this series yet to and get yourself book one, trust me you won't regret it.

Amazing job, Rachel Jonas! Definitely still keeping me on the edge of my seat, with this series. She intrinsically wraps you in a fantasy, come to life, with her words. Such a superb book to read. However, I have a feeling the best is yet to come; with the continuation of this series.

Might contain a spoiler or 2.

Things are changing for Noelle ever since she got her mark by both the Hive and Darkness. Frankly, its freaking her out. She doesnt have control over her powers and everyone safe her friends and mates are afraid of her. What pisses me off about that is her teachers. You'd think they would try and help her and find a solution. There has to be someone there who would at least try but no she is on her own. Now, her bff from childhood who turned on her in high school, Blythe is trying to help her. They cleared the air and now she wants to help Noelle get control. The Darkness is taking over more and its scaring her and her mates. With no help from her family because she cant get word to them...she's a prisoner more or less. The Chief is an a-hole and has sinister plans and although we know that about him we dont necessarily know his end game yet. Things are also out of sync with her mates because protocol was broken. She's supposed to solidify her Queendom by being with Ori first but Rayen slipped and slept with Noelle first. Broke tradition and they lose a couple of abilities for their trouble. Sooo, now that she has been with Ori things are getting better but its never that easy. Especially with the council and Chief...who want to make an example out of Rayen and take him away for awhile. Basically jail until he feels the lesson is learned. Now, things take a turn for the worst. I wont give away anything else. The end of this book was huge...I mean wow I didnt expect that but okay onto the next book. I do want to say I really wish Noelle was able to spend more time and bond with her men. She's only bonded with Ori and Rayen....at least bed wise. She has yet to spend much time with Kai and Paulo. I kinda wish there was more in regards to getting to know her mates but too much is going on in the book to where its taken a backseat. The love scenes are kinda glancing and not much detail so a bit boring on that front. I want love scenes to at least seem real and that something actually took place. I pretty much had to read between the lines which was disappointing. I want the juicy bits too!

Still no shift to either dragon or wolf for any of characters. At best an overlaying outline of dragon is mentioned couple of times. By now I think the name of series is deceitful. Relationship part of RH is stiff and illogical, mostly I wondered why it was there at all. Underlying plot thickens, finally some clues get revealed and very little actually happens in this good sized novel. Getting bored by now. And feeling misled by author.

Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.

Dragon Fire Academy Second Term is the second book in the Dragon Fire Academy and things are getting crazy. Noelle and the Omegas are getting a whole lot closer and Noelle has made some pretty amazing and supportive friends. However, everything is not great, after Noelle's transition things have gotten a lot crazier, her powers are on the fritz, students and teachers are starting to question her, and the darkness is looming ever so closer to Noelle. Spirit and the Darkness both have a claim on Noelle the question is even with the support of her Omegas and friends will Noelle be able to keep her darker side from taking over.

I rarely binge-read books but I read this entire book in one day and it was so easy. DFA 2 was highly entertaining, fast-paced and kept me on the edge of my seat. This really isn't an insta-love story, even after the mating bond they are trying to get to know each other better and take things a little slow, that being said, I loved the steamy parts with Noelle and her guys. I love the connection they have, how even though there are strong feelings Noelle doesn't take any crap from them and how they want to get to know her better and are open and supportive of Noelle. The guys also had more chapters from their pov and I loved hearing from each of them and how they actually feel about Noelle.

Another aspect I liked is how supportive Noelle's friends are of her, while she tries to push them away they aren't having any of it, even when others would have. They believe in her when she doesn't even believe in herself, and give her all the love and support she needs. I hope that there are more of those supportive moments between them.

This storyline was a total surprise, while I knew that it was going to be dark I had no idea that the storyline was gonna go the way it did but that is a good thing. Also, a lot more of the island's history is revealed as well as a pretty big secret that has been kept from the students. While some of my questions have been answered I still have a lot more and I am more than ready for the answers.
Dragon Fire Academy Second Term was full friendship, steamy, danger, mystery and a couple of plot twists that shocked the heck out of me. I enjoyed every single second of DFA 2 and after that cliffhanger ending, I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Dragon Fire Academy: Term 2 review

First let me tell you I finished this book in a day! That is how much the book consumed me.

The book started with Noelle waking up after transitioning in the cave with her mates. There were some ups and downs which the down included a “weird” mark on the side of her neck.

As the book went they were trying to discover more about the mark and what could it mean for the boys, the island and for their Queen Noelle. After discovering that there is The Darkness and The Light inside of Noelle fighting and waiting for a chance to mend her to their will, they tried to help her as much as they could, knowing ONE wrong step and Noelle won’t be the same!

The books is fast paced, exciting and I really loved it! The Reverse Harem is not as much shown as maybe in the other books which I like and I think even someone who doesn’t like RH would be okay with.

My overall thoughts?
I will definitely suggest this book to anyone who may like it. I love the main characters and their development as well as their friendship and boldness.

Every time I set the bar for Rachel she completely blows me over.
Wow, if you thought Noelle had it bad during her first term, hold on to your seat. This is the second book in the Dragon Fire Academy a spinoff of the Lost Royal saga( While is series can be read as a stand-alone I would highly advise reading the first series).

This story picks exactly were we left off, right after Noelle survives her first transition/shift and comes out whole.  Not to mention, she now has four overprotective sexy mates. Noelle mating mark also appeared but its totally different from the guys and no one knows what it means.

With all that, add the fact that Noelle's powers are acting up at school causing a lot of chaos and unwanted problems for her; on the bright side she finds herself an unlikely ally willing to help her go the distance.

Noelle is unbelievable loyal to her men and her fierceness and protectiveness know no bounds when it comes to them.  We learn a lot more about the Omegas, including Ori and how his character has now developed after finding his queen.

As her relationship with the guys progresses and she finds herself in a bit of a mess as she unknowingly breaks protocols which causing a bit of a problems.

So many twist and turns in this book. Trust no one! After meeting the seer, Noelle is warned that both good and evil want her. Will she fight it or allow the darkness to tip her over the edge? Will the guys forgive Noelle for the choices she about to make and will they be able to bring her back? The end will have on your seats twisting and yelling for the next book. FYI it will probably be the most epic ever,  as the family is on there way, as in everyone! Stay tuned for next book

I received an ARC of the book for my honest opinion, and Rachel has not come to play with us. Absolutely amazing book! 5 stars

Dragon Fire 2

Dragon Fire 2 picks up where we left off with Noelle’s painful transition into her wolf and dragon. Although it was ultimately the worst pain she had ever endured, it becomes apparent that something else has also awoken in Noelle and it is a fight that will become more treacherous and soul rendering than she was previously prepared for.

Just as Noelle transitions, her hive of guardians learn that she is their fated mate; what should be a time of growth and happiness gets quickly torn apart by others on the island working against the Omegas and Spirit who seems pretty content to let things play out as they will.

With former friends becoming enemies and the looming darkness trying to overcome Noelle’s light, things are looking grim.

But Noelle isn’t content being sidelined in the upcoming battle that the Omegas are preparing for. She isn’t made of sugar, and is prepared to prove her strength and worth to her hive.

Take a journey with Noelle and her friends as she learns that she will do anything for love. Yes, she will do even that!

Wow this book was such a roller coaster. We pick up right where we left off I the caves. Noelle and her mates are on a journey to figuring out what is happening with her symbol. This book had me gripping the edge of my seat with all the suspense. This darkness that is attached to noelle and how she will get through this. I def want someone to beat the chief a**. I loved watched Noelle and her men grow closer and her relationship with Blythe is becoming repaired. This book was a great journey and we learned a great deal with the secrets of the island and Noelle powers. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Especially with that cliffhanger

I. Am. Dead.
I love Rachel Jonas and all of her books, but she never ceases to amaze me with how she raises the bar with each one.
This book is amazing. Noelle is coming into her powers since her first shift, and nothing is going right. Every time she tries magic, something goes haywire and now everyone is scared of her, even her instructors.
Her relationship with The Omegas develops, and there are some HOT scenes as well as some hilarious ones where Noelle's mates are concerned. Everything seems to be going well with them....til it isn't.
Great second installment and I can't wait until book three!!!!

We learn more about Noelle's existence and possible future on the island with her Omegas. We see her are struggling to come to terms with her transition and place in the Omega circle. It is confounded with island beliefs/culture as well as the Chief's voiced opinions. I love seeing how protective Noelle is of her loved ones and the lengths she is willing to take. There were very interesting twist of events in this book and I'm quite intrigued to how the cards will play. What a cliffhanger!! Can't wait for book 3. Kudos!! Nicely written and I loved it!

OMG I loved the first book but I loved this second book even more! Fast paced the story continues from where book one left us on that hell of a cliffhanger and we continue on Noelle’s journey as she struggles after her first shift. As for her hive, I absolutely adore them and am enjoying their progression in their relationship. Love the mystery and intrigue, love the twists and turns , love the humour and the hot and steamy Scenes and I cannot wait to read more!

A great second instalment in the series. While I am starting to feel disconnected with our leading lady, I’m enjoying connecting with the Omega’s and Blythe. It would be great to see the royals pop into book 3 and here’s hoping Noelle isn’t too far gone. It would be great to see it all come together.
