The first time I saw my feisty angel across the dance floor, I knew she was the one for me. Cristiana swayed her hips so divinely, that even at seventeen, I’d have promised to treasure her forever, to become a human shield for her if I had to. That’s what a guardian would do for his angel, and I’ve always been the protector. But life had other plans. When a second chance with Cristiana arises, I take full advantage. I make a promise to stop at nothing to be with her. But promises can be hard to keep.
The first time I saw my hermoso devil walk across the parking lot, it terrified me to think he could be the one. Noah’s protective ways thrilled me as much as my dancing, but fear told me he’d get in the way of my dream career. So, I did what any scared dancer would do. I pushed him away and danced the other direction. Now that we have a second chance, I won't let him break away. I promise myself I won’t be the one to back off. But promises are sometimes broken.
First in a series of interconnected stand alone novels starring the men of Reed Security.
Robin Leaf lives in Texas with her husband and four kids (three human and one furry). When she’s not reading romance novel a day, she can be found watching Supernatural (and drooling over both Dean and Sam equally), playing ball with her furry child, or cleaning up dog hair.
WOWZA....this latest book from Ms. Robin Leaf is, in my humble opinion, her BEST book to date! The emotions I went through while reading Noah and Cristiana's journey to their HEA have definitely left their mark on my heart and soul! This story is FULL to the brim with FEEEEEELS....the intense attraction and chemistry between these two could set fire to my e-reader, the complete ALPHA-NESS that is Noah had my heart SWOONING like an 18th century maiden and the drama and suspense added just the right touch to keep me flipping those pages, to say NOTHING of the SIZZLE and HEAT that melted my panties, leaving me gasping like a fish out of water! *sigh*
I absolutely LOVED everything about this compelling and well-written book and I look forward to the next one in this new series from this up-and-coming author who NEEDS to be on everyone's radar.....she deserves nothing less! Do yourself a favor and grab this one and dive in!
We first met Noah in Loosen Up, and I honestly could not wait to read more about him and get his story.
He’s a former navy SEAL. He’s all sorts of yummy and swoony. And I think Cristiana was the perfect match for him. She’s feisty and speaks her mind. I loved her energy. Noah and Cristiana have quite the back and forth, it was a little bit of slow burn but, boy was it HOT! They had the best banter. It made for some very entertaining and funny moments.
They kinda drove me a little nuts towards the end, but it’s only because they’re meant for each other. And I didn’t fully understand their reasoning. Eventually, it all comes together in the end.
The story had a mix of romance with a bit of mystery. This author just keeps getting better and better with her stories. I’m so looking forward to reading more in this series.
Robin Leaf is an instant on release day read for me, and for every book she puts out, my inner fangirl gets more excited. Usually I would just sit down, tune out the family, crack open the book and not stop reading til "The End". Due to outside factors this was not possible this time around - damn you, life! The interruptions might have been a blessing after all though, because it forced me to stop, digest, and then read on. I actually think this story deserved the pauses. It pounded the relation of Cristiana and Noah deeper into my head and heart than any of Robin's earlier characters have ever done before. Not by that saying, that her previous books haven't touched me, because they really have, but this was different. I feel inadequate writing this review, I'm having the hardest time expressing my thoughts on the details and emotions of this book. It has so much going on, so many emotions. But I will say this, it is a well written, heartbreaking, and oh so hot book. It will tease you. It will make you cuss these characters out (including the author). It will frustrate you. It will make you chuckle at times. And it will make you fan yourself.
All in all, it's everything you want in a romance book and just a little more.
Robin has given us an AWEMAZING book In Back Off, I was so looking forward to this book, and believe me when I say...the wait was so worth it!! This book is about Noah, who we first meet in Loosen Up who I thought was pretty hot then...but now?? I think I fell a little in love with Mr. Noah Reid. His love interest Christiana is such a badass, I loved her too. Boy is she sassy!! Noah and Christiana really care for one another, but there are forces keeping them apart for stretches of time, and it takes a toll, can they overcome those forces? Are the feelings they have for each other enough to make things work? This book has so much going on, it sucks you in from the very first page, and doesn't let go till you finish...and even then you still want more!! As far as recommending this book...HELL YES!!! You will love Noah too...I'm claiming him!!! LOL Robin, thank you so much for giving us another awesome book, with people you fall in love with and want so much more of...can't wait for what's next from Robin, I know this though...It'll be another story that I fall in love with, and characters that I don't want to let go of!!
Ok...after reading this latest release from Robin Leaf, I jotted down some words that came to mind.... Alpha, Feisty, Angsty, Dramatic, Intrigue, Witty, Humorous, Steamy, Hot. All of these things...and more, will be found within the pages of Back Off. Noah is definitely Alpha male, but with a heart of gold, however, within himself he needs to find the ability to realise that he deserves the love of the only woman that has touched his damaged soul. Cristiana is that woman. Her feisty attitude is a front for her own insecurities and failings, but once she allows her walls to lower, she finds that Noah may just be her lifeline. This suspenseful, slow burn of a read has a uniquely latino feel and flavour that will keep you invested til the very end. It is emotional, scorchingly hot in places and entertaining. 4 stars 👏
After the hot (scorching actually) scene starring Noah in Loosen up, I wanted his story. I'll forgive the author for getting sidetracked by a different amazing hero (maybe), but the day my Kindle chimed with a new book had me a giddy ball of joy. It's here. I nearly tore off my Kindle cover to get at it. I had to know, how does such an honorable man commit to having sex with his best friends girlfriend in front of him? Knowing this scene happens from the previous book, I couldn't wait to see how the author would address it. I did not expect a heartbreakingly beautiful man stepping way out of his comfort zone to be the man his best friend needs. Holy swoon. Then she paired him with a hot as fuck feisty woman who gave me all the sexy vibes. I'd do her. An all in all it's an extraordinarily well written, emotional, fantastic read.
Holy guacamole! Back Off is MUY CALIENTE! Robin Leaf has written another stellar story that keeps you on the brink of a literary “O” throughout! Noah and Cristiana’s story is an all-consuming scorching page turner. Is there anything better than a super steamy book that adds a hint of suspense??? I think NOT! Immerse yourself in a ménage of passion; his is to protect and obtain justice, hers is the performing arts, and they share a passion for each other. Life led Noah and Cristiana on several detours (via the highway of delayed gratification) but in the end...well let’s just say, tu necesitas Back Off in your life! **Warning, may need towel and/or fire extinguisher while reading. Noah Reed may cause spontaneous panty combustion or leaky lady bits.***
I definitely waited way too long to read my first Robin Leaf book. Once I picked up Back Off, I couldn't put it down. It's original, sexy, angsty, steamy, suspenseful, hot, did I mention sexy? Cristiana is feisty and loveable, Noah is sexy and can be my white knight...anytime. Their chemistry is off the charts and I fell in love with these characters from the first page and every chapter Ms. Leaf kept me wanting more. By the end, I didn't want to let go of these two. The angst, the suspense makes the story a true page-turner. And the genre of music that Robin throws into the story is like totally gnarly. I think this author and I could be soulmates. I can't wait to see what else is in store at Reed Security.
Holy Hades! Noah, is a passionate, caring, hero who gets a touch of alpha naughtiness over the span of time from high school to adulthood. As swoony as he is, it's Christiana who rocks my socks. Who doesn't love a fiesty, beautifully bold, and unapologetic heroine. Falling in love is a bumpy angsty road for the pair, but the destination is worth the journey.
NO. JUST NO. AS MUCH AS THE SEX WAS HOT? THE CHEMISTRY WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND THE PLOT... WASN'T AS ENGAGING. WHAT PUT ME OFF IS THE HERO FUCKING HIS BESTIE'S GIRL, AT SAID BESTIE'S REQUEST WHILE THE HERO WAS IN LOVE WITH THE HEROINE. NO. THAT PUT ME OFF SEVERELY.
I love reading dark erotica or even some menage, so it wasn't the sex that put me off but rather...If the hero claims to like the heroine, why the fuck is he still agreeing to be a "conduit" for his ball-less best friend who can't even confess his feelings to his girl? And I hated that there was no emotional connection between the H/h and yes they weren't together but it still felt like cheating to me.
THIS STORY SEEMED A BIT IMMATURE in the sense that I wasn't reading a very ADULT novel AND HALFWAY THROUGH THE HEROINE JUST SOFTENS UP SO QUICKLY AND I DON EVEN SEE THE STRINGS OF ATTACHMENT BUILDING BETWEEN THEM, IT WAS ALL LUSTY.
MEH, HAD POTENTIAL BUT I JUST COULDN'T STAND THE HERO ACTING LIKE A LOSER WITH HIS HERO COMPLEX.

Noah is hands down my absolute favorite hero of Robin's. He is everything a leading man should be. He's kind, sincere, gentle (not so gentle when he need to be), loving, tempting, and the list could go on. I love that he meets a girl like Cristiana. She's epic! She is tough, headstrong, funny, sassy, and downright awesome. I love a strong female lead like her. The two of them together is fiery hot. They just need to figure out when and how to love each other completely. The supporting characters, especially her mom, are wonderfully written and make you want to be a part of this book family and world. This book is worth every second of reading time you have. I want to give it more stars.
The hardass Cristiana and Noah are kept apart due to they each made a promise to help someone through something, and neither will break their promise. Their little secret trysts they have are wearing on them. They know they love each other. Such a great ending. This is the first book that I've read by this Author, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I do have to be honest & say that I did not like the Spanish words thrown in because I didn't understand. At the beginning, it was explained what the words meant, but later it didn't.
I love everything about this book! The connection between Noah and Cristiana is nothing short of spectacular. Everything Noah does to win his girl just makes me swoon!
As I saw every time, Robin's books get better with each release, and this one is no exception!
Oooooooh the angst. The back and forth. The trials of their love. I couldn’t get enough.
What’s better in a romance novel than a hard fought happily ever after? Nothing I tell you. And this author delivers a fight like no other. The tale of Noah and Cristiana finding their way to each other is full of twists and turns and LIFE and you will find yourself wanting to cry and swoon and pull your hair out while at times needing to take a cold shower. It feels so real as your reading because it’s not all hearts and rainbows and sunshine. It’s tough, it’s gritty and the feelings it will bring out of you will leave you gutted. But of course, the HEA is beautifully simple, an inevitable outcome for these soul mates and I was crying all the happy sappy tears at the end. It’s worthy of more than the five measly stars I’m relegated to. Kel Kel and Mel Tell
