Hunted and broken, her only hope for survival lays in the arms of a feral Alpha that knows no mercy.
No woman willingly travels to the Boundarylands.
It’s where they are—the Alphas.
They keep to themselves in the wilderness, and beta civilization knows to keep its distance. Especially beta women…for fear they may not be a beta after all.
The only way to know your true nature is to feel the touch of an Alpha. Omegas may be rare, but every woman knows their fates are hellish—held captive, broken, mated, knotted, and bred.
After a hiking trip goes horribly wrong, Darcy is on the run, tracked by men who want to ensure she doesn’t live to tell her story. She doesn’t realize that she’s crossed over into the Boundarylands until she collapses before the one creature she fears more than the murderers on her tail.
Now her only hope for salvation lays with an Alpha so dangerous even other Alphas know to keep their distance.
Maddox is the fourth book in The Boundaryland Omegaverse, a hot new ABO romance series featuring knotting, heats, and possession. Wear gloves, cause this sh*t is hot
Ever since she was little, Callie Rhodes' imagination has been landing her in trouble. From daydreaming about far off worlds in class, to escaping into the made up stories of her mind in the meeting room, she's been creating tales to take her away from the real world for as long as she can remember. Now she lives among the tall trees of Northern California, and has found a way to make a living off her fantasies.
Spoilers ahead, 2.5 not quite 3 but at this point I'm tired
Ok y'all I'm getting kinda tired of the EXACT same plot for every book
Female in danger Runs across big bad Alpha OMG nooooo he's going to eat me He touches her so she realizes she's actually an Omega OMG! Hmmm he's gonna EAT me 😉 😏 Being an Omega is nothing but a sex slave and breeder But no I've been taught he's an animal But I can't resist him Ohhhh, whatever shall I do Huh, he's actually a person with FEELINGS....who knew Ohhh wait bad guys Alpha rips them to pieces Ohhhh wait I actually love him Being an Omega is AWESOME Eh
No cheating Maddox slept with the prostitutes maybe twice a year, he was a loner even amongst his brothers h grew up in a religious cult, she left and was disowned by her family but she's had some sexual experience
I’ve been reaching for this series when I’m in the mood for something quick, likely formulaic, but still enjoyable — like a snack size packet of chips/crisps.
Even though Maddox was a bit too “me, alpha, grr” for my liking, that came with a heavy side of “I’m gonna take care of my omega even though I’m super grumpy, grr”.
OMG, redemption for the he author with book 4. Maddox and Hope had chemistry and tension and all of the other good stuff from the first two books. Hope is running from some drug runners after witnessing something horrible.
She accidentally crosses into the Boundrylands and gets shit and dropped off at Maddox's feet. He picks her up and her Omega nature is revealed and he makes every effort to save her.
The heat level for them was 🔥🔥🔥🔥. There was soo much build up and when they came together it was explosive. Definitely recommend this one and will continue the series.
I’ve got to say that after reading the first three I didn’t know what to expect. This one was slightly better. The character’s were a bit more developed. Had more personality. There was a bit more detailed but I still found it lacking. You can tell a bit more effort was put in. Not as many spelling or proofreading errors. Other than the big one in the front where the character is called Darcy instead of Hope. Though...I must say I find the same prologue or whatever kinda annoying. It doesn’t give details other than the generic description you read constantly throughout the book. Covers don’t match any of the alphas as well. I find that a bit annoying.
If you want a short story with hot Alphas then read this series now! Each story features a new Alpha and how his Omega ends up in the Boundarylands.
Each story can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading them in order because you get to know the other Alphas before they meet there mate.
This is Hopes and Maddox story! Maddox likes being alone and not being bothered by the other Alphas. His day was going like plan until Hope comes running through his land while being chased by some beta drug loads. Read this now to see what happens.
Really loved the storyline. All the storylines actually, but this one had a few inconsistencies with numbers - saying 4 had died, but only 3 had, or saying there were 6 alphas, but only naming 5 (just to name a few of them). A few grammatical errors, but otherwise a really really good book.
This omegaverse has potential, it had all the ingredients but just lacked the depth of it all together. Wasn’t verse smexy, had a good overall storyline but just wasn’t deep enough of a story for me.
I love these books and the stories. I want to give them 5stars but they are progressively getting worse with grammer and editing. It's so frustrating. I can not give a great rating to something that is destroyed because it wasn't put together properly to begin with. It makes me so mad. If the editing and grammer were correct I'd give every one of these books 5 stars. If you like omegaverse and aren't concerned with said complaints then I totally recommend them. However, if grammar and editing are an issue for you then really consider whether you want to read them or not. I keep reading them because I'm hoping this issue will be fixed.
3.75 Stars MINOR SPOILERS THROUGHOUT: I really liked this book. It started off great and remained consistent throughout the rest. I’m a sucker for the gruff and moody types so I loved Maddox. It was so great to see him open up and develop a relationship with Hope.
After that cliffhanger, I am DYING to get my hands on the next book! I’m so eager to read Troy and Faith’s story!
Generously giving this 2 stars. To start this off, the content editing/proof-reading was in desperate need on this book. This could have been a better rating just for the mistakes... The flow was a bit slow, even considering all the mistakes having to be stumbled thru. I think these could be read as stand alone books in the series. There really wasn't a world building in the first book, and not in this book-to explain what these Alphas are or how the world evolved into these sort of dystopian separated type societies (Betas versus Alphas). Sometimes the Alphas act like cavemen, or animalistic, & they seem to have super strength & speed, but they don't shape-shift, that's about all the info provided. I didn't understand where they came from, are they from an evolutionary process, or alien invasion, or? This really hurt the story, cause I kept trying to sort all this out for it to make sense.
As for the characters, they are very flat, which was not helping me like them more. I wasn't surprised that Maddox was a jerk, he came across that way since book 1. I flat out hated him & almost quit the book over him alone, cause I was disappointed in his behavior after finding his Omega & it didn't change much. Hope, as his Omega, was slightly better than him, but not by much, I just felt she was too unbelievable in the story. I didn't like that there really wasn't a set guideline for the either the Alpha or the Omega in this series, to understand what is normal behavior. At this point, the story/plot feels too similar to book 1-3, except for slight differnces to the characters themselves - the Omegas are all running from bad guys who come after them in the Boundarylands to try to kill them & the Alphas all go on a killing spree to save the Omegas, rinse & repeat...
I sort of hated this book, & kind of wish I hadn't picked it up in the first place, & after starting it, that I should have quit the book instead of finishing it. I felt it was not pulled together as a polished & finished book. I'm done with this series AND this author, as the growth in her writing style is not there, the books had way too many mistakes and the plots between 1 thru 4 -were too similar to the previous books to hold any appeal for me, I will not be continuing.
Maddox is saving Darcy from these beta men, who are trying to kill her. Of course, her omega is revealed but he can't do anything because she is healing from a gun shot wound. So he chains himself to a tree.
I love the dynamic between Darcy and Maddox. Neither of them were looking for this but they realize how much they need each other. I love that Maddox is the most broody of them all but gives in to build her a bathroom. I am now several books into the series and this one remains one of my top favorites.
It seems like this author copies and pastes her whole stories then changes the characters names and the story a little bit to make it believable as a new tale (it’s not). Hence the reason why she’s able to do a new book every month. If you feel like reading the same theme regurgitated over and over again as a money grab for a lazy author; please feel free to keep reading this series.
This was probably my favorite in the series because I really liked Maddox. This one also had the least amount of typos so I wasn't distracted and was able to enjoy the story more.
THIS MAY HAVE BEEN SHORT BUT IT WAS PACKED WITH A LOAD OF ALPHA TESTOSTERONE AND GOOD OL' ALPHA-OMEGA ELEMENTS TO MAKE IT A QUICKIE READ.
MADDOX we've met in Ty's story and now he's having his own! He's also the loner, Mr.Grouchy and Mr. Leave Me Alone. But, his steady, precise world is going to get riled up when an Omega female being pursued and shot at drops into his territory, rousing his Alpha instincts to protect his mate. Maddox doesn't WANT a mate, yet he can't deny his own biology and in the end succumbs to it anyway. I'm a sucker for the AO troupe, so I hardly ever complain about what the authors bring to the table. Of course, it wasn't as COMPLETE or widely expounded on...I mean there was NO PURRING or some of the Alpha-Omega stuff apart from the knotting and possessiveness.
HOPE was on a hike when she and her friends stumbled upon a weed farm and HELLO! Out pops the military men, killing her two friends while she manages to run away. For 3 days and 2 nights she's been running without rest and when her tank's near empty, she drops on Maddox's land and eventually gets shot. Maddox saves her live, albeit reluctantly thinking she's a Beta at first until her body awakens by being around an Alpha and BOOM she's his mate. Hope may have fought against him a little, but she does give in to the sexual tension and while it is a tad unbelievable....I just ignore that fact and go with the flow since it's such a short story.
OVERALL it's an Alpha-Omega book...what else can I say?
Here we find another story set in the Boundarylands series. Some of it is similar to the previous ones, for example, once again a scared beta is in danger and her true nature of being an omega is revealed by the touch of an Alpha. But each story has different characters, with each own personality, strengths and flaws, particular settings, and I just love seeing them develop as well as getting to see old friends from the previous books.
In this book, neither of our main characters has had an easy life, which you can see how it has translated into their adult lives. On one hand, we have Maddox, he is the toughest and most difficult of the Alphas, he loves the solitude, doesn't understand the reason or need for community, and would rather be left well alone. And on the other hand, we have Hope, a sweet, scared girl, who has difficulties learning to trust others and has had the weight of the world thrust upon her.
All the books have elements of suspense and danger in them, but this one is an uphill battle where there is constant peril around them. How their relationship develops, and how both of them try to get to know each other has been the hardest story until now with them being so different and everything happening around them.
Will Maddox come to truly care for his omega? Will Hope learn to trust her Alpha and not be scared of him? Will they stay alive long enough for their bond to come into full effect or will the narcos finally get them next time? Will Maddox learn the importance of community and ask for help in keeping Hope safe, or will all have been for naught? Don't miss the book! I did find the ending a bit rushed, but I genuinely enjoyed seeing their journey. Looking forward to the next story!
Out of all the Alphas, I believe Maddox is my favorite. He is who he is and you can either take it or leave but he would prefer you leave it and him alone. His attraction and need to be with Hope was an accident waiting to happen. Hope on the other had was sheltered, cynical and optimistic (if that at a disaster waiting to happe) but she knows her mind and listening to it she comes to learn that what people tell you and what you experience are two different things.
Attraction, Lust and Love have a way of meeting up all at the same time and making life a little bit more exciting and a more bearable because you are where you are suppose to be with who you suppose to be and how...now the question is will you do as Maddox and Hope deny yourself, until the deniability become nothing but need leading to what you was avoiding in the first place....CONNECTION?
Maddox and Hope see it and accept it but still fight it until they are threatened and then there is nothing left but to stand back to back and do what must be done - BE AS ONE!!!!
Camping Trip gone wrong and it’s an Alpha to the rescue!
Hope our FMC is hiking and camping with some work mates when they venture onto land being used for activities less than legal. In an effort to escape the pursuing criminal element, she stumbles across the boundary lines and onto an Alpha’s land.
Maddox, a fierce and massive Alpha who is less than welcoming even to those who know him, is enraged when Hope runs right into him on his own land. In her effort to get away, she is injured quite badly by her pursuers.
As we know, Alphas are dominating apex predators by nature and Maddox is really at the top of the apex predator tree. He is relentless in his pursuit of the criminal element that chased Hope onto his land. His fury and vengeance upon them know no bounds as Maddox realises Hope is his Omega to protect once they have touched and her true nature is revealed. Can Hope gentle the raging Alpha and bring him to heel?
Some bloody scenes and frightening moments in these pages. Definite 18+ read as there are some pretty steamy sex scenes as Maddox and Hope find each other and begin to realise they are meant to be mated for life. I gave this fours stars.
Strong female characters is needed, must do better next time😲😊
I will be sti the point and not so sweet! This author seems to think first of all that her female characters don't like to bathe, then if they try to use the barest of essentials in hygiene, like combing one hair and feeling human, means they are trying to pretty up for a male, this right up pissed me so bad. If this is what this storyline is suppose to be, then it says a lot about her views of women. Let's say also Hope was such a turn of, she was so ridiculously selfish with Maddox. Weak as water versus her male counterpart was strong and so much more in qualities. It's quite sad to ask for stronger female, smart, sassy, and kick ass versus pathetic ,always borrowing clothes from their males. But the only good side of this plot is i had a couple of good laughs and at the end it came out a bit better. Hence annoyed with the beginning of this book , so a 3 star is well deserved until otherwise.
A fast and addictive read, these stories in this series are insanely addictive and easy to read! This one begins with violence and a chase and an introduction to the alpha that could have gone the other way. I love the characters in this series, and you get to revisit some from the previous books too as the excitement builds and the threat of death comes calling. Hope is evenly paired with Maddox for their messed up childhoods, but they fight the pull to be together. The plot itself is interesting, and I personally love all the death-dealing almost as much as I love all the hot sexy times that eventually happen. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I swear these books are like Pringles chips, who can have just one and be satisfied? Not me, lol, I love them all.
The plot was the same for the past 3/4 of all the books ive read so far in this series. Its just getting annoying at this point. Its always a girl running away from someone and stumbling upon the boundarylands and then boom. Exactly the same. Also most of the alphas have the same personalities too. Maddox was a whole ass stubborn sexist bastard. Saying oh you do what I tell you to do blah blah. Hope literally wanted to tell the cops since her friends DIED IN FRONT OF HER AND THE NARCOS WERE AFTER HER PLUS THEIR BODIES WERE STILL THERE. THIS MF HAD THE AUDACITY TO BE LIKE WELL YOU HAVE ME NOW AND YOU CAN WAIT TILL WE GO. MAN I JUST WANT ONE MAN TO ACTUALLY LIKE THEIR MATE AT FIRST AND BE FRIENDS AND TRY TO COMMUNICATE. 3 stars
For the first 20% of Maddox’s attitude I was expecting to give this book 2 stars. Then the 5% that he was tied up I started to think maybe 4 since it was new and interesting for this author but then he was untied and the story played out in the same formula as the first few books.
Danger causes girl to run through the woods. She stumbles upon an alpha and becomes an omega. Danger continues to show up while the alpha keeps her locked up at his house. Eventually danger is dealt with. And then you get a scene at the end where she announces she’s pregnant at tea.
Was pretty disappointed that we went back to this formula after how refreshing the last book was, but whatever. The books are quick and otherwise an occasionally interesting read.
When Hope is chased onto the alpha Maddox’s land, she’s sure he’s about to kill her. Instead, Maddox saves her and claims her as his omega. Unfortunately, the danger is still out there...
The fourth book in the series, this is another sexy voyage into the omegaverse, where alphas dominate and omegas have their way! If you don’t care for sex scenes, then avoid this whole series 😉
An enjoyable book, this addition to the series allows you to glimpse favourites from previous books, and introduces a few new faces.
Recommended for those who love paranormal romance.
