"She makes me feel like, maybe I can climb up there too -- up on that stage of youth!"

Izumi is an introvert with a serious communication disorder who gets his life turned around when extroverted gyaru, Shinohara, makes the effort to talk to him.

This story seemed sweet: introverted guy who is slowly getting the confidence to talk to others & is finally being seen. Yet, the ending was so abrupt & incomplete 😭 I'm sad this manga got axed. This manga walked so "Filter-goshi no Kanojo" could run. This manga gets a bonus point in my book since it's the same artist for both mangas.

Tbh the ending - despite its abruptness - probably seemed the most realistic: the popular girl doesn't get the popular guy nor does the loner get the girl either - they're all just living life, growing confident in themselves, and enjoying the present moments of friendship.

The general theme of this manga isn’t new (loner boy meets popular girl), but I guess it’s the first time I’ve seen the “announcer“ spin on it… not bad, but none of the characters really drew me in or made me like them particularly. I’d read more someday, maybe.
