Heaven has been in love with her boyfriend Calvin since the day they met. The amateur boxer is perfect; kind, supportive and loving, the body of a god and sex so good she's willing to follow him any and everywhere. That's how they end up in a new town, renting half a duplex and ready to start their lives together.

Their new apartment is perfect. Big enough to lay down roots, a backyard studio for her to work on her art, and a neighbor who inspires the naughtiest fantasies.

Tasha and Stephen have a great life. They go to work, they come home, Stephen cooks and Tasha does the dishes. It's domestic bliss. And if there's something better than bliss, it's whatever Tasha feels the first time she lays eyes on her new tenant next door and the way Stephen's eyes glaze over in lust when she shares her fantasies.

What are two taken women to do when the attraction is mutual, the wall between their bedrooms seems paper thin, and the men they love only want them to be happy?

Neighborly is the second Erotic Accommodations book. Each book is a standalone story of erotic desire at your doorstep, or closer. Each book is a stand-alone.

I should not have stayed up this late but....this was hot like genuinely had me blushing kind of hot. So perhaps the sleep deprivation was worth it

This book is about two black couples that live next door to each other and they become a polyamorous unit because the girls are hot for each other. It’s mostly erotica but it’s a great time A++ smut, plus sized rep, and full of loving partnerships and open communication. We have to stan.

I received a copy from the author in exchange of an honest review

CW: explicit sex scenes, violence in the context of boxing matches.

I picked this up one rainy night of November from my kindle on a whim when I wasn’t feeling great and just needed a mindless read to get my mind off of life and into something that I know is guaranteed fun and very different from anything I was hyperfocusing on and I WAS RIGHT. Neighborly by Katrina Jackson was exactly what I wanted it to be, no more, no less. A super steamy story about two women in relationships who can’t get their eyes (and hands) off of each other.

This book made me sweat. Simple as that. This was so hot it got me dehydrated. The writing isn’t the best thing I’ve ever read but it gets the job done, Katrina Jackson writes erotica like it’s the only thing that can save the world and she has no choice but to succeed at it, and succeed she does. She doesn’t only make it about the sex, but she also makes it about the feeling, the yearning and lusting, the fantasizing about a moment long before it happens, so she makes you anticipate the two women, Tasha and Heaven, getting together so much that when they do it feels like a treat and she does not disappoint.

Such a short and fun romance! I loved the dynamics between all four of the characters and the open communication everyone had with one another. It was great watching Heaven open up and explore what she was interested in and I loved how supportive Clavin was. And I looooove a fighter romance, so I loved that Calvin was a boxer! I would definitely recommend picking this up if you want something short and spicy!

Here's the thing about the best erotic romance out there: it's about feelings and not just fucking. And this book is pretty great. It's very hot, but the emotional attachments between the two couples and then between Heaven and Tasha is just great.

ALSO VERY HOT. I loved this very quick and satisfying read.

If you’re looking for a polyam romance please go pick this up. I cannot praise it enough, the tension the entire book, the adorable relationship between Tasha + Heaven? The supportive partners and absolutely hypnotic writing? I am hooked on Katrina Jackson.

I’m definitely going to give this one a longer review on my blog but i wish this was at least 200 pages longer. This is how you write erotic romance, it was so refined but completely hot and I L O V E D I T. Score one for Black Romance ALL AROUND.

This was a great entry point to Katrina Jackson! I mean first of all, it was hot af. But also, the actual characters were great, I really liked getting backstory into how each married couple met. The chemistry between Heaven/Calvin, Tasha/Stephen and Heaven/Tasha was all really well done, didn't feel forced or over the top. Loved the inclusion of boxing and the conversations around Heaven's insecurities as a plus-sized, professional athlete's wife. The communication was great across the board too!

The sex scenes were a bit repetitive for me, especially being a novella. This is primarily erotica, so I was expecting a lot of scenes. But I wish there had been more...variety? Or something? Maybe because this was MFFM so the combinations were limited but yeah I was hoping for something more unexpected. Also kinda wish I had gotten to know Stephen's character a bit better.

I will definitely be reading more from Katrina Jackson in the future! Glad I had a good time with this one, and also glad Katrina has such an extensive backlist lol

I knew that this was two m/f couples that are neighbors and that the woman were also involved with each other with their partners full knowledge and consent. Besides that, I didn’t really know what to expect from this one. And I LOVED it. I loved the interaction of the couples. I loved that obvious care that came across on page. I loved the fight/locker room ritual. I loved the clear communication and express consent. I loved their personalities. This just worked for me in every way, MORE than I thought it would.

A young couple moves in to a duplex they can finally afford now that Calvin's boxing career is taking off, even though Heaven is feeling wildly attracted to Tasha, one of the upstairs tenants and owners. Heaven and Calvin have never explored this side of their relationship before, but Calvin is willing to let Heaven explore with Tasha as long as everyone is open and honest. The walls are blessedly thin and and the sex is exceptionally hot.

This is a fun novella, and I really just adored how both men were utterly supportive of their partners. No relationship angst, just worries about money and being a couple through another's career choices and financial worries, illuminating to see in a romance where often, especially in White romances, money is never an issue.

Heaven and Tasha deserve the world and their male partners damn well know it.

I just loved how naughty this entire setup was without veering into uncomfortable territory. They all know how to communicate and the writing makes it clear that there is no pressure to perform. The plot around their romance is also well done (I loved the bonding over creative jobs) but the main attraction (ha!) is the couple's compatability and Jackson delivers on that.

OMG, THE TENSION!!

All four of the characters are such a treat! The story is mostly about the beautiful buildup between Tasha and Heaven, but their partners were a delight as well.

"Neighbors to Lovers" is one of my favorite tropes and this book is a winner! God bless thin walls, lol!

An artist and her boxer boyfriend move into a duplex. Sparks fly between the artist and her landlordess. Super hot. And a study in establishing characters efficiently and thoroughly. It felt complete. And did I mention that it is very spicy?

What neighborhood was this?

This was HOT. But the love, care and devotion of the couples to one another was absolutely amazing. I knew the moment I read the blurb I was gonna love this. I put it off, saving it for when hit a books slump and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest!

I received an advance copy from the author for review purposes. This in no way influences my review; all words, thoughts, and opinions are my own.

The perfect blend of swoon and steam!

Content notes:

Katrina Jackson is hands-down one of my favorite authors and Neighborly does not disappoint!

Heaven and Calvin have been together for three years and are finally ready to move in together, but finding a place they can afford near Calvin’s gym is proving stressful and makes Heaven wonder if they should wait a little longer before moving in together. That changes when Calvin find a duplex that Heaven quickly falls in love with - especially when it comes with a shed she can use as her art studio. Things only improve when she meets her landlord’s wife, Tasha, and the sparks immediately fly between them.

One of my absolute favorite things about Neighborly is all the different ways love is expressed between Heaven and Calvin, and Tasha and Stephen. They each take care of their partners in different ways and support one another in dreams and goals. For Heaven, that means going to Calvin’s boxing matches though she hates the scrutiny and often feels others don’t think she’s worthy of him. For Calvin, he does everything he can to encourage Heaven’s art and creation, while also “rewarding” her after he wins a match by sexing her up. Stephen does what he can to alleviate the aches Tasha has from working in a nail salon, but never trying to get her to change her dreams or job. The love literally jumps off the page with so many little gestures and verbal declarations.

But at its center, this is Heaven and Tasha’s story. Tasha and Stephen have been in an open relationship most of their seven years together, so long as their is honesty and communication. Heaven and Calvin have only been with each other, but meeting Tasha is the first time Heaven has been interested in anyone other than Calvin in their time together. There’s an almost slow-burn quality to the way Heaven and Tasha get together, a build up of trust and friendship that culminates in a deep, caring connection.

I had so much fun reading this and couldn’t put it down. This is a great erotica full of Black relationships and I swooned as frequently as I had to fan myself. Hard recommend if you’re looking for a fun, sweet erotica about two women’s attraction to one another and the loving men who encourage and support them.
