One has magic in his veins that puts those he loves in danger, keeping him on the run.
One is trying to secretly finish a quest before anyone catches up to her.
One has been in hiding to keep the world safe.
Kory has taken many precautions to make sure that he will not be found, that way his mother and the royal elven family will not suffer an attack by the Shades as his father had. The Ancient blood in his veins is strong—whenever a Shade gets loose, it always finds him.
Always.
So when fate brings Lili, a member of the royal family, back into his life, Kory knows that, with the help of the Ancient-in-hiding Katiya, they have to bring this to an end once and for all, before the Shades break free of their prison realm and conquer the world.
Lili thinks there is little time to find an Ancient before the Shades arrive. She will soon come to find they are already here.
I've been writing since I was six years old. Those stories won't ever see the light of day (hopefully), but I have others that I'm willing to share with the world.
There is something wonderfully old-worldly about The Three, reminiscent of epic fantasy of the past. It is beautifully written, action packed and filled with memorable characters battling an ancient evil. I look forward, not only for book two... But for other books by this author.
LOVED it. Good, classic fantasy that doesn't aim to overcomplicate the story for the reader. I thoroughly enjoyed the magic system employed in The Three, especially the fact that it was fallible. The flaws and risks involved in its usage helped add to the stakes. I can't wait for the next installment!
This is a solid start to a high fantasy series! It has elves, dwarves, magic, and even a dragon! I look forward to the next book. The characters are fun and the world is interesting.
Enjoyed this indie authored tale. Written quite differently to others that I've read from this genre. Love the mix of dwarves, humans, elves, fae, dragons and magic, plus the darker side of course.
