This series is one of my favorites by far! It sucked me in from the start considering they all automatically start with an action scene. The intensity only rises the farther you read and you would not BELIEVE how many times I had to sit back and let my heart and mind get past all the punches. This story tore so many loud gasps from my lips. There's action in every turn plus some great and hilarious comebacks! All of the characters are amazingly portrayed and I am happy to say I didn't dislike any single one of them, even the bad guys. The heroine is hilarious and badass and she has the best pet, Filigree, I have ever read of!
There are so many unique aspects to these books that I am most definitely in love! This world has become one of my all time favorites and I wish I could live there to protect it from harm along side Violet!
This series introduced me to a favorite heroine, a favorite pet (Filigree), a favorite male character *ahem* RYN *ahem*, favorite couple, favorite world and so much more!
(Ryn, please cross that magical threshold and come into my life!)
The only negative comment I have... why did it take me so long to read these?!
You will NOT regret submersing yourself into this epic battle! My heart has been stolen by Rachel's world-building and I don't want it back!

I received this ebook through ebooksforreview in exchange for an honest review.

This book includes the first three books of Rachel Morgan’s series Creepy Hollow. These three stories are told from Violet’s point of view. This is something I really liked in the book. Unlike many other books, this one is told in first person narrative. I believe this way of telling a story really helps increase the suspense and keep the reader interested since you only know what the character knows.

This series of books are YA novels. I believe most teenagers could appreciate the story and relate to the characters that are in their late teens. There is romance, but there is also a lot of action. From my point of view the author did a great job at finding just the right pace for her books.

The story is set in an alternative world where live creatures that are called Faeries. Violet, the main character, is training to become a guardian which means that she is sent on mission in the human realm to protect humans from bad faeries. At first it can be a little confusing since there are many types of faeries, even some that are the equivalent of animals to the humans. But I caught up pretty fast and since the story caught my attention from the beginning it didn’t matter much.

Overall a good series!

This is a collection of three books which make up the story of Violet: The Faerie Guardian, The Faerie Prince and The Faerie War. They combine to make a seamless story. If you try to read the first book alone, you will be left hanging. In my opinion, this should have been a single book from the start vs being split up. There is nothing wrong with a wonderfully long and epic tale! Therefore I recommend grabbing this collection from the start and settling in.

I had a very difficult time getting into the story at first. I can't put my finger on what it was that bothered me. Perhaps it is because The Faerie Guardian felt like it was more about building the atmosphere and setting things up for the following books than to be enjoyed as it's own story. It also may have been because I did not like Nate and found him boring. I saw no reason for Violet to be interested in him and just spent the entire time wishing it would end. I probably spent 3 weeks plugging along through this first book. I would read a chapter, put it aside and read a different book or two, return for a chapter, rinse and repeat. If I had not committed myself to providing an honest review in exchange for a copy of the books, I may not have continued.

Finally, I reached the point where The Faerie Prince took over. Oh wow.. so THIS is why everyone loves the series! Now we have ourselves a story!! I won't spoil it, but I will say that I LOVE Ryn and the chemistry between him and Violet. This is where all of the information from book one came into play to provide the background and history for what I consider the real story. We needed the back story. I just wish it hadn't taken so much time to build it up. Let's just say book two is just leaps and bounds ahead of book one for me. By the time I got to The Faerie War I didn't want to put it down.

I have been a fan of Rachel Morgan's contemporary romances for awhile. She has shown a different side to her talent in creating a fantasy world made up of Fae. While the overall story felt slow at first, it did not disappoint and stood up to the quality I have come to expect from Rachel. I look forward to more of her work.

I received the set in exchange for reviews, and I’m so glad I did. This is easily one of my favorite series of all time! This series is not 100% predictable like some fairy books, and it feels fresh. The characters are lovable even with their flaws. I wish I could train to be a fairy guardian, but alas, I am not even a halfling, so I'll have to live through these books.

I love the extra chapters/scenes included in the set! They give you other character’s point of views to fill in key scenes after the fact as to not spoil the surprise. I was able to guess where some things went or how things were connected, but you have to, or things are simply too crazy or out of character. However, there were so many events that took me by surprise and felt authentic to the characters and world. I laughed. I cried.

The thing I like most about the writing is how real the characters emotions, reactions, thought processes are. Not everything that happens is happy, but it all makes sense. Characters act appropriately for the circumstances, and it's just wonderfully written. A lot of fresh ideas and story points. I also love how well the action is written. You can "see" everything in your mind's eye.

I LOVE this series! Like I said, I received the first three books free in exchange for reviews but I'm going to buy them anyway just to thank the author. Great series! I can't wait for the next book!!!

Rachel Morgan is an amazing talented author, and she has brought to life a very lovable character. We get to watch Violet grow from an extraordinary fairy fighting to earn top ranks in her class to a Guardian fighting for their lives. There are so many twists and turns in this story that you don’t want to put your book down. I was engaged from the very beginning to the end of the third book and can’t wait to get my hands on the 4th book. I rant and rave about this book to all my friends that love to read and beg them to read it so we can discuss it. Thank you Rachel Morgan for creating a world that has me spellbound.

Violet Fairdale wants to be the top of her guardian class, but being the best comes at a price in Rachel Morgan's Creepy Hollow: Violet's Story. A fast-paced series, I soon wished I could live in Creepy Hollow. Violet is quite the kickbutt heroine. I swooned over Ryn and enjoyed seeing how everything played out. With fantastic world-building and characters a person can root for, Creepy Hollow: Violet's Story is perfect for teens and anyone who enjoys a great story.

Wow not come across this author or read this type of book before.

Fresh, different no inappropriate language and so imaginative.

Great to read all three together – what a joy and when the weather was so bad at the weekend I had such a book fest.

The covers are so beautifully illustrated too, and that really does entice the reader into this wonderful world the author has created.

I am hooked now so glad I was asked to review these great books.

Creepy Hollow 1 - The Faerie Guardian

The Faerie Guardian tells the story of Violet, the perfect guardian trainee that ends up messing up an assignment by accidently bringing a human boy into the faerie world. The plot of the book develops from there and gets more complex and the story develops.
The Faerie Guardian really surprised me. From the beginning, I thought it was setting itself up to be a Violet and Nate story and I was okay with that. Halfway through the book I noticed that was I was getting was better than that, it was a story about Violet’s journey to deal with the events in her past and present.
Violet and Nate’s banter is entertaining and their relationship develops nicely, if a bit fast, but something in my gut made me distrustful of him from the beginning and my gut was right. I won’t elaborate more on it to make this review spoiler-free. Get reading, if you want to know more!
Ryn is very annoying from the start and his reasons for hating Violet are a bit unreasonable but he starts growing a bit on you by the end of the book. I’m really looking forward to reading the next book and finding out what happens next on Violet’s journey.
Overall, this book was very fast-paced and action-packed got me coming back for more. Personally, I could have done with a small prologue with some kind of background information on the bigger story behind the faeries with special powers or something like that, but it was still a very good read.

Creepy Hollow 2 - The Faerie Prince

The Faerie Prince takes us back to Creepy Hollow for the continuation of Violet’s story, from her last trainee mission to graduation and beyond.
I must say this book series continues to surprise me at every turn. I’ll try to keep this review spoiler-free, which is very challenging.
Violet is paired up with Ryn for her final mission before graduation and their more-than-friends relationship develops really nicely from there. All his romantic gestures throughout the book are very swoon-worthy and managed to win me over completely.
Nate, who I didn’t trust from the beginning of book one, turned out even worse than I imagined in this story, to be honest, especially considering what happens in the very end of the book.
This book contains a major cliffhanger at the end, so beware of that, if it’s not your thing. I must say the only reason I’m not mad about that is because I already have book three lined up on my kindle.
In my opinion, The Faerie Prince was even better than The Faerie Guardian.

Creepy Hollow 3 - The Faerie War

The Faerie Prince is the conclusion to Violet’s story (but thankfully not to the Creepy Hollow world).
Violet now has no memory of all the important things is her life, which makes life very hard for Ryn, the love of her life. I just love how he perseveres and is up for winning her heart all over again, if that’s what it takes. I also love how Violet’s love for him transcends the effects of the potion a little bit, proving how strong it really is.
The “war” aspects of the book are very compelling and the reader is left rooting for the (inevitable) victory against Lord Draven. Various twists and turns happen along the way, making the story even more interesting.
Personally, I was very satisfied with the way this story turned out and would recommend this book and series to anyone who loves fantasy, adventure and romance.

This was written for a teenage audience, I think, and it shows at the beginning. It seemed a bit ridiculous at first. That coupled with way too much language for my taste (I wouldn't want my teenage daughter to read it. Even though she hears this kind of language every day at school or whatever, I don't encourage exposure on purpose.), and I almost gave up before the half-way mark of the first book. Those are the reasons I give it a 3.5. I kept on and I'm glad I did. There were so many awesome things about this series. It's jam packed full of imaginative heroes and villains, action and adventure. Very vivid and descriptive. I liked the putting aside of differences and prejudices between the faeries and other creatures to battle for the same cause. There were surprises, friendships and betrayals, and romance. I liked all three books, but the 2nd book was my favorite followed closely by the 3rd. No sexual content. There are plenty of scenes where it could have happened, but the author steered clear. I was really glad about that. It made me like the characters even more that they respected each other. There are some steamy make out scenes, however. I love Ryn's character. He was my favorite with his bad boy persona, but deep feelings on the inside. I loved his sense of humor, his loyalty and devotion, and his gentlemanly ways. He was so sweet and patient with Violet after they became friends again. He sacrifices so much for her. I love their banter back and forth and his nick name for her. The pixie stick scene in Hart's T.V. room was funny. I ached for him in the 3rd book. I really liked the growth and change Violet experienced throughout the series. Natural consequences are hard lessons learned. Sometimes it would be helpful to have the insightful experience she had with losing her memory to see such a distinct before and after of our lives and behavior. I didn't like her relationship with Nate. It was so superficial. They were making out like the first time they met. I like a little more depth and substance to a relationship. I was a little suspicious of him from the start (and then especially after we met Angelica). My feelings at the beginning of the series were drastically different from those at the end. I really grew to care for the characters and their lives. I know this is nit picky, but I don't think the girl on the cover was a good representation of the violet I see in my mind. Overall, however, I like the covers. I was given this series in exchange for an honest review.

Let me start by saying I rarely read fantasy anymore. I get a lot of request to read contemporary romance, because that is what I have been focused on for a long time. I read the Trouble Series by Rachel Morgan a while back (and the idiot that I am, it took me a while into the book to realize the author was South African. I kept thinking something was off with the English, and it reminded me a lot of my South African friend Candice, and the way she speaks!) I loved that series, and so when this opportunity came up to read and review her fantasy series, I thought why not. If Miss Morgan could write such great YA, this had to be good, right?

OMG, I as blown away!!! This is such a great series! I will not bore you with a detailed description of what the books are about in my little rave here, but let me just take the time to express how this captivated me!

Violet, or Vi for her close friends, is a kick-ass faerie in her final stages of becoming a guardian. She is dedicated to becoming top of het year, and is absolutely a force to be reckoned with! She has gone through a lot in her short life, and will stop at nothing to get where she plans on going.

During these three books Violet experiences her first love, her first heartbreak, she reconnects with a life-time friend, and learns what true love really is, amongst other things. Along the journey you get to meet all of the people in the Fae Realm that are important to Vi, including meeting a wide range of faerie creatures you have no idea ever existed.

These books are fast-paced, packed with action, adventure, and a good dose of romance to keep an avid romantic like me turning the pages at high speed. I felt like I was in a Harry Potter/Hunger Games/Divergent world, yet it felt completely original, and kept me intrigued throughout the whole ride.

Book one started of getting me hooked on the whole Faerie Realm idea, book two was the real deal with the whole love story of Vi and Ryn, and book three was a great conclusion to their story with sections written in alternating points of view.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good read. Whether you are a fantasy fan or not, these reads are amazing, and will absolutely suck you right in!!!

I love this series. Each individual book was strong and created a fantastic world that I enjoyed visiting, but as a whole these three books created one of my favorite stories of the month and overall enjoyable YA stories. When I finished reading it was so amazed at how much I loved the entire series and ending. I further enjoyed learning that there was a fourth book!!

I started reading Rachel Morgan stories when I received another book of hers to review. I enjoyed her writing then and after this series I love it. I did not want to put down these stories because each page had more details that created a fantastic fantasy world, well-rounded characters that I loved, hated, cried with/over, and laughed at/with as the story continued to expand. RM's words flowed together and everything came together as important details the further I read into the world of the fae.

One of the things I enjoyed the most about this series is how so many things were like "shut the front door" did that just happen! I did not see many of the twists coming that happen in this story...which I LOVED. While many of YA/Dystopian type stories have been made into a movie, I would love to see this one given a chance. The rich descriptions of the guilds, homes in the trees, the way fairies travel, etc. gives a huge potential for a fantastic movie with outstanding graphics/settings/etc. If you are not sure if this book is for you because of fairies or YA I would ask...do you like romance (this series has it), suspense (yup it is here), family or friend dynamics and changing relationships (yup and yup)..so I think many people would enjoy this book and learn some great lessons from it as well!

(May contain spoiler-ish hints. Read at your own digression)
My actual rating for this series would be 4.5 stars. I was pleasantly surprised with this series. When I first began reading I felt exactly like Nate as I was shoved into the Fae world. The beginning was abrupt without the lead up to action that I was used to. The first few chapters had sudden changes and felt choppy until I finally settled down into Creepy Hollow. Rachel Morgan was able to create a world like no other. The society Violet lived in can not be matched to any other fantasy novel. Her creativity in forming this unique universe left me stranded inside the book and I'm still trying to get my head out of the mindset I was in while reading this series. The characters are well written and you can't help but to either fall in love with them or to hate them with a burning passion...or both if we're discussing a certain villain. I'm still not sure if I can wrap my head around that plot twist. Usually I can anticipate where the story is going, what secrets the character has, and what the writer intends to surprise the readers with. But I was completely thrown for a loop in The Faerie Guardian. Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you create a proper villain. A villain that the readers, understand, and have very conflicted feelings about. I honestly could not put this series down. I ended up staring at my phone for a severe amount of time, flipping through pages as fast as I could. I finished 2 and 1/2 books of this series in one day. What can I say? I was addicted and I'm dying for the fourth book.

Previously I have read two books by Rachel Morgan from her The Trouble series and I loved them, they are my cuppa tea. This Creepy Hollow series is outside of my usual reading genres, fantasy is a category that I very rarely read (and I read quite a bit!) but since I enjoyed Rachel’s other books immensely, I wanted to give this series a chance and venture into a faerie world for a change. I was given this ebook compilation set in exchange for an honest review and here it is:

4.00 hearts rating

This story collection stars Vi (aka Violet Fairdale), the top guardian trainee who must negotiate a dangerous plot after a cute human boy follows her home into the fae realm. The action starts right away in the first pages with an attack and a couple of magical exits, one of which basically includes a stowaway, the impossible feat of a human tag-along.

The other thing that is clear right from the beginning is that Vi is a character that I will come to love. She is smart, sassy, spunky, and sensitive, and so it is quickly clear to me that the genre of this story isn’t going to matter to me at all because this is a protagonist that I like immediately and that I want to get to know better.

I loved this series which proves Rachel Morgan is an amazing writer in any genre, and I look forward to reading A Faerie's Secret (Creepy Hollow, #4) .

This turned out to be a really great series! I really enjoyed all three of the books.
The first story was very interesting, it introduces you to this alternate fairy world that is interesting, different and exciting. There was plenty of adventure, a sweet romance and great, kick butt characters as well. The main character, Violet is capable, strong and very likeable, which are important qualities for me. Stupid or weak heroines drive me crazy and she was neither of those.
I was surprised by the romance in the second story. I figured it would be a continuation of the first book, but the twist was great! I love the love interest in this book, their adventures were very exciting and fun to read about. Their relationship developed in a very natural and yet exciting way. There were several twists along the way in this book and a lot of interesting revelations that I would never have guessed at. The way it ends was yet another twist that drew me into the third book wondering how it would all end up.
The third book was just as good as the first two with yet another great character development that came from an unexpected twist yet again. The entire book was thoughtfully put together and very fulfilling. There was plenty of adventure, excitement, romance and surprises throughout.
I would happily recommend this series to my friends. It was clean, exciting, romantic and a very clever story.

The Faerie Guardian-This book is amazing total what i expected it to be a great faerie story with lots of twists and turns. You never know what to expect, you think you know what going to happen and then nope author pulls a plot twist our of no where. I am total fan hooked and will be picking up the rest of this series.

The Faerie Prince- This is the second book in this amazing series. Unlike the first the book their is not as much action in this one as Violet is coming to the end of her training and is set on one last task before she graduates and is ready to start her life a full fledge guardian. I really like the way that we get to see more of the relationship between Ryn and Violet develop. I love the way that Morgan has a way of capturing the readers interest and keeping it from page one until the end, and then making you not only need the next book to the series, but want to go barging up to her door and demand she give it to you right now. If I didn't have the third book, I would do just that.

The Faerie War- This is the third book in the series and the emotional turmoil from beginning to end in this book makes me want to cry, scream and eventually jump for joy. Morgan pours her very heart and soul into this third book and i almost feared this was it no more but oh joy we get another story we get to see where it all goes, where the pain and joy goes. I can not wait for book 4.

Creepy Hollow: Violet’s Story is a bind up of Rachel Morgan’s first three stories in the Creepy Hollow Series. The Faerie Guardian is the first book. In it, you get introduced to Violet Fairdale, the protagonist, and the Fae world. This book opens you up into the complex world of faeries and tells you a myriad of things about Violet’s life. The Faerie Prince is the second Creepy Hollow book and The Faerie War is the third.
I really loved these books. I’m not a lot like Violet, but I still connected with her. I love how Rachel Morgan writes and these books would be great for almost anyone to read. There were a few times when I felt like Violet was a little bit immature throughout the three books, but I guess everyone has an immature side of them. My favorite thing about these books was the feels they made the fangirl side of me have. Now, after reading them, I’m finding it hard to start another book because I’m still stuck in Violet’s world and story. The only part of the stories I didn’t completely love was the first half of the third book when Violet does something that engenders problems. If you have read it, then you know what I’m talking about.
If you like fantasy books such as The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare or Modern Faerie Tales by Holly Black, then you will most likely love these books, just like I did. I gave all of the Creepy Hollow: Violet’s Story books five stars. I hope you will or did enjoy them as much as I did.

This book has 3 books: The Faerie Guardian, The Faerie Prince, and The Faerie War. I didn't really enjoy the first one. Violet and a few of the other characters seemed to really irritate me and I did quite a bit of eye rolling. If I had just had the first book, I wouldn't have continued the series. As it was, book 1 took me a long time to get through it. However....

I noticed all around growth in the second book (characters, plot, etc.). While the second book didn't blow me away, it did manage to keep my interest. I started smiling a bit more instead of groaning. Violet started growing on me. So I was interested to see how book number 3 would turn out.

And, in my opinion, book 3 almost made up for book 1 (hence the four stars). Everything was clearer, characters were stronger (though some still could have used more work but big improvement from the first book). I didn't have much of a problem being dragged into this one. As to if I'd like to continue this series, perhaps at some point. With my lack of reading time this summer, I have found that I'm a bit pickier on what I spend what time I have reading. But perhaps when things slow down, I might pick up the fourth with hopes that it might be even better than the third. I wouldn't really recommend these books solo but as the 3 - in - 1, I'd say give it a shot.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Creepy Hollow: Violet's Story (Creepy Hollow) by Rachel Morgan Faerie, Violet Fairdale, is on a quest to graduate at the top of her guardian class. While on a mission, things go wrong that will affect the entire Fae realm.

I love this series! If you haven’t read the Creepy Hollow series yet, do yourself a favor and pick up this box set versus buying each book on its own, because once you get started you will not want to put it down.

Violet is an incredible heroine. Her parents die when she is young, and she is determined to follow in her mother’s footsteps by graduating the top of her class. She is strong, smart, and motivated. She grows tremendously throughout this series; her priorities changing and maturing.

I really like Ryn. His character also evolves greatly throughout the series. He is full of surprises. Violet and Ryn are constantly challenging each other and consistently arguing.
They have such a complicated history and interesting future. They have great chemistry and lots of obstacles to face.

The plot is amazing. This series really comes together in the last book. Creepy Hollow is packed with nonstop action and excitement. It is creative and full of vivid imagery.

Rachel Morgan has done a fantastic job with this series. I’m so glad the story is going to continue ten years later because I’m not ready for this series to end.

At first, I wasn't too interested in Calla's story but when it came on sale I thought I give it a try. And I'm glad I did! The characters of Creepy Hollow start to grow on me and I really like the world Rachel Morgan has created here.
Again, we have a girl (Calla) having feelings for the wrong guy and developing feelings for the right guy who seems to be the wrong one. Sounds complicated? Yes, a bit. Sounds familiar? Yes, a bit like Violet's story. That's the only critique I have.
I like how Calla has grown and I definitely like Chase now. It is a proof of good writing that the reader starts to sympathize with a character that was not a “good” one in the first instalment (Violet's story). I also like that we got to meet Violet and Ryn again, although, their destiny made me really cry!
Having written this, it's not all just romance in this book. By far not, the main character must help to save her world (of course). And I like the undertone of the Guild becoming an oppressive institution instead of the helpful one you would expect it to be.
While you can't read only one of Calla's books, you don't have to have read Violet's story although I strongly recommand doing this because it gives you some background history. And then you can look forward to Emerson's story in Creepy Hollow book 6-9 ! (Which again, doesn't have to be read with Calla's story but you probably be hooked up by then!)

I loved this book. Right from page one it had me hooked and I couldn't stop until I reached the end!
The perfect combination of faeries and magic, good versus evil, battles and romance, 'Creepy Hollow' is the ultimate 'The Magic Faraway Tree' for young adults and older adults too (I'm in my 40s!)
Rachel Morgan's writing style is flowing and effortless, her battle scenes are detailed and descriptive without losing her readers somewhere in the middle, the dialogue is believable and her ability to write a 'will they, won't they' love affair is second to none.
Violet, the main character, is strong, sassy and doesn’t suffer fools. On the point of graduation in Book One, she becomes embroiled in a plot to overthrow the Faerie realms, a plot that begins in ‘The Faerie Guardian’ Book One, and develops into a full blown battle of good versus evil by ‘The Faerie War’ Book Four.
Nate, the human-discovered-to-be-Halfling, and Rin, her fellow graduate student are the love interests, rivals for the love of Violet; a love, which will eventually lead to conflict and devastation.
If you are looking for an utterly escapist read full of magic, adventure and romance, then this is an unmissable series of books. I can’t wait to read Creepy Hollow’s Book Four, ‘A Faerie’s Secret,’ which is also available now.
I give this book full marks, five stars!

This is a young adult trilogy about Violet Fairdale, a teenage fairy in training to become a guardian. The storyline that weaves throughout the trilogy, which centers around the rise of Lord Draven, a halfling who wants to enslave all fae, and Violet's role in fulfilling a prophecy telling of Lord Draven's defeat, is absolutely fantastic. The first book seemed a little slow in comparison to the rest of the trilogy, and there were some parts of the story that left me scratching my head about some of Violet's actions that did not seem in line with her character. I really struggled, for example, with her brief relationship with Nate. Violet had worked extremely hard to be at the top of her class, so it didn't make any sense that she would violate rules to visit a human she was curious about. Lucky for me, I persevered and continued reading because everything became clear by the end of the trilogy and the second and third book were thrilling page turners, action packed, and full of surprises. You have to read these books in order and you cannot skip the first one. The romance between Ryn and Violet, which really heats up in the middle of the second book, manages to be super steamy while remaining squeaky clean. The ending of book three leaves the reader satisfied yet disappointed that the story has come to an end.

This is a fun teen series not unlike the Mortal Instruments series. Kick-butt faerie Violet Fairdale is about to graduate as the top guardian trainee of her class, but when an assignment goes wrong and the human guy she’s meant to be protecting follows her back into the fae realm, a dangerous plot is set in motion. Enter evil faeries, long-lost family members, and inconvenient feelings of the romantic kind. The stakes are higher than Vi could ever imagine, and it'll take every bit of her training to survive the coming ordeal.
There is more swearing than I would like in a teen series. Nothing over the top, but consistent enough that I was disappointed. The romance is kept pretty clean--only a couple of steamy kissing scenes.
I really enjoyed the bonus scenes that come with this set. There are scenes told from the other characters point of view. It really gives insight into the other characters. It makes Ryn a much more likable character. I felt like I understood his motivations more after reading what HE was thinking and feeling during the story.
Overall, I would recommend this series to older teens. There is a lot of action, some violence and swearing. I think my 15 year old would enjoy this series, but I am not ready to let my 13 year old read it yet.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

The following review is based on my experience with the audiobook boxset.

As far as audiobooks go, this boxset - which comprises the first three books of the Creepy Hollow series and Violets Story in its fullness - is an excellent deal and well worth your credit.

While it's set in the YA fantasy genre, I firmly believe that listeners of any age-group will enjoy this immensely. The characters are complex, the setting is breathtaking in its originality, and the world-building is well thought out and clever.

Violet's Story, told in three parts, is one of adventure and challenges, mistakes and misunderstanding, wonderful magic and humanity in all its shades of wonder and imperfection. There's romance but it isn't overwhelming, and the character development is as realistic as it is tangible.

Performance-wise, I quite liked the narration. Both male and female narrators were well-suited to the book and the characters they portrayed. The only (small) thing that bugged me on this score was the female narrator's slightly nasal intonation. Otherwise, this is an excellent, polished audiobook and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I look forward to the next boxset!

I highly recommend the whole series. It is a delightful read for those who love fantasy. The characters are well developed and you find yourself caring for them and wanting their happiness. There is plenty of action and romance too.

This group of stories features Calla. Violet was the main character in the first part of the series. She married Ryn and Calla is his younger sister. Calla always wanted the opportunity to be a Guardian like her big brother. She has a big secret that makes it difficult to make it all work. If her secret gets out, she and her family face serious consequences. Calla is an independent thinker and likes to make her own choices. Her choice in friends causes some major concerns but she believes in Chase. I recommend you read the whole series in order. You won't regret it and will be hooked before you know it.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

The Faerie Guardian is book one in Rachel Morgan’s Creepy Hollow Series.

Violet Fairdale is a 17 year old Guardian Trainee, Guardians are the police of the Faery world, they protect the humans and Fae who can not protect themselves, she thrives to be the top of her class. When Violet is sent on an assignment to protect a human boy from a reptiscilla, a Fae creature. But when the human can see through her invisibility and follows her to the Fae world, the perfect record and graduation she has worked hard to get is in jeopardy. But the human, Nate isn’t all what he seems.

I really enjoyed this book, the twists, connections, friendships, enemies and betrayal is addictive and exciting. Some secrets are revealed that will have you shocked, the history between Violet and Ryn will have you on the edge of your seat hoping that it will be repaired. The characters development and growth is a sight to see.

Violet is a kicka** heroine who is trying to be the top of her class, she has secrets from her past that make her who she is. She struggles with the feeling she has towards both Nate and Ryn, just when she thinks she has a handle on them something else happens and it’s in the air again.

I wasn’t really a fan of Nate, she just seemed too excepting of what was happening around him, but then when things took a turn I was very disappointed and annoyed with him. But Im hoping he will redeem himself later. Ryn on the other hand he is the band boy and everyone secretly wants the bad boy, I didn’t understand the hatred between him and Vi until the end of the book but now I rooting for him.

I’m looking forward to reading The Faerie Prince.

The Faerie Prince is book two in Rachel Morgan’s Creepy Hollow series. This book continues on from where The Faerie Guardian, book one ends, it is recommended that TFG is read before reading this as there are characters and plot twists that will be missed.

After having her heart broken by Nate and a sort-of-friendship rebuilt with Ryn, Violet life is not as simple as she hoped. With graduation around the corner and her final assessment coming up, being the top of her class should have been the only thing on her mind. But with having discovered Zells dungeon with the other special Faeries being held captive and needing to hide from being taken by Zell, V’s got a lot on her plate.

This book was so freaking good, I enjoyed it so much more than book one. The action, suspense, bonds and drama that was going on was for a very addictive and enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting it was that good. Violet continues to grow and with so many secrets and past that is revealed, her relationship with Ryn helps her get through it all. I love Ryn, even in book one when he was a total jerk to Violet I knew it was due to a deeper reason and knew he wasn’t that bad. In this book he grows on you so much more and he makes some epic swoon worthy scenes. Nate well I never did like him and this book is going to pull the rug from under a few people that thought he was a good guy.

I’m hoping that Ryn is able to find and help Violet in the next book cause she is very lost right now.

The Faerie War is book three and the finale in Rachel Morgan’s Creepy Hollow series. The highly anticipated conclusion to Lord Davian is here. This book continues on from The Faerie Prince and it is recommended that books one and two are read before reading this one.

Creepy Hollow is nothing but destroyed forest land and rubbled homes. The guardians are either brainwashed and working for Davian, dead or on the run. Violet has no memory of who she is, that she is a guardian and what that entails, if she has any family, or who Ryn is. She has a letter in her pocket from someone named Ryn but that’s it. Living with the reptiscillas, in the underground with no memories but surrounded by hatred is not a easy task.
Will Violet get her memories?
Will Ryn come back for V?
Will they be able to defeat Davian?
The answers to these questions will all be revealed and more.

Wow oh wow, what a conclusion. This series as been a great experience I’ll be honest I was very hesitant going into this book after the way book two The Faerie Prince ended with Violet taking the ‘forget’ potion. I understand she was heartbroken and devastated with what had happened but she still had so much to not forget, plus she always seemed like a strong person and taking the potion seemed to be a cowards way. Also she was very quick once again to assume that Ryn didn’t want her, she needs to learn to trust people.

I was so glad I did read it and was not disappointed. Although the ending did seem a little rushed, we have been on this long journey from The Faerie Guardian and The Faerie Prince that this book just seemed to rush through too quick compared to the pace of the previous books.

My heart was so torn and heartache for Ryn when he finally found Violet again. The devastation and lose of her not recognising him *cry. But as the say goes all good things come to those who wait, well I’m this case are patient. Ryn has held a piece of my heart since TFG I knew he was destined to be with V and then in TFP with his swoon moves and romantic notions just sealed it, but in this book I was an absolute goner. The fish bowl scene was just per perfection.

The internal battles that Violet had to go through while trying to figure who she is was hard to read, but when she found out she was the reason for the lose of memory she just could not comprehend it. But with Ryn by her side she was able to rebuild herself and come back stronger.

Well done Rachel, this was a fantastic series and I look forward to spreading more by you, I will be a little said to say goodbye to Ryn and V when I move on to Calla, I understand they will be making appearances but it won’t be the same.

Starting a bit slow and and only got me completely halfway through when there is a major twist and characters are turning. The books get better and better. At first I was a bit wondering as the main character seemed to act quite immature but not in a bad way. The second book is fairly slow but the third book is full of action as we reach the climax of the total story. All in all well done. I just don't like cliffhangers and these books all end on major ones. There is no way to not read all of them if you are interested in reading one book to the end! So this is a bit of a downturn, that it is truly one story cut into 3 pieces to make you buy more but I guess that's the way it works to get people buying...

oh my goodness, this was everything i've been looking for in a paranormalish/fantasy story. I've been craving a good one, and well, here it is!
I love the story- I loved Violet and Ryn, and so enjoyed the adventures they went on and their constant bantering. The heartbreak and betrayal, the determination and the kick-butt characters- it was really amazing. I devoured this in two days. Not even...

--
romance: cleanish. i mean, there were some intense kissing, but hey, it wasn't every other page.
action: awesome... eh, i mean mild.
language: damn, ass, hell and yeah, thats about it.

I love this series. I think it is absolutely fantastic, it kept me interested the whole time I read it. The only part I don't like is that I thought it was totally lame that Violet lost her memory at the end of book 2 going into book three. I felt that it might have been Rachel Morgan trying to find an easy way out of the rebellion knowing that Nate was Draven. Besides that I thought that Rachel Morgan did a wonderful job writing the book and the way that it was completely shocking. I would recommend this book to everybody who likes suspense/fantasy/mystery type books.
