This was a great start to a new series. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Delaney wasn’t meant to be going to the game that night and only went as a favour to her best friend Brynn who was looking to hook up with a player, not that much of hardship when she gets to watch her favourite sport and the man of her dreams play. Never would she have thought he would look at her so when he approaches her after the game she is so shocked she cannot help but accept his offer of a drink. Is it possible he wants something more from a curvy girl like her?

Harrison spotted Delaney after he was sent to the penalty box, seeing her jumping up and down almost had him dropping to his knees and then he saw she was wearing a Jersey with his name and number on it he knew he had to meet her. When she agrees to a celebratory drink he knows that he will stop at nothing to have her but can he convince her to be his?

Enjoyable read, looking forward to reading more in this series. 3.75* Read

Cute and quick read. First in a new series by Jane Fox and I really enjoyed it. Delaney and Harrison met after a hockey game where he was playing and she was there with a friend. He first noticed her when he was in the penalty box and saw her giving the other player her two cents. It was love at first sight. I really enjoyed this book and loved the glimpse into their future. Can’t wait to read more from this series and this author.

Short and sweet. Harrison seems Delaney across the rink and knows she’s different. It helped matters that she was also wearing his jersey and yelling at his opponent. He’s knows she is the one, now he just has to convince her.
-safe read
-neither virgins but not a mw
-no om/ow drama
-epilogue 1 year

Enough heat to melt the ice

Rocket is the first book in the new series Love on the Ice by Jane Fox. This series moves the reader into the world of professional hockey players and the women that they fall hard for, and maybe even end up taming them.

Rocket is the story of Harrison Douglas and Delaney. Harrison is thirty-four and plays for the San Francisco Chaos. One night at a hometown game he is sent to the penalty box and then he sees her. She is pressed up against the glass, wearing a jersey that hugs her curves, waving her arms animatedly and he might be in love. He keeps an eye on her during this penalty and then has to get his head back into the game even though he keeps trying to keep an eye on her. When the game is won he loses sight of her but figures that as it is a home game he will see her again. But he needs to see her again. After the game Harrison decides to join the other guys in going for a drink, which he usually never does.

Delaney is twenty-four years old and loves the game of hockey and Harrison Douglas, as he is her favorite player. The Chaos is her team and she was invited to the game that night by her best friend Brynn, who had an extra ticket. Brynn is on a mission to complete her "hat trick" that night and Delaney is going as backup for her. After the game they are standing outside where the players exit so that Brynn can bag a hockey player that night. But Delaney is standing in the background and not taking part as it is not what she wants to do. When the players exit Harrison spots her and bypasses all the hockey bunnies to introduce himself to Delaney. He then invites her to join him for a drink with the rest of the group as Brynn has found herself a hockey player.

Over drinks they get to know each other and end up back at Harrison's house meeting the woman in his life, Ginger. Let's just say that Ginger takes an immediate liking to Delaney and there are lots of face licks. But that is not the only thing to be licked that night as Harrison has a few things he wants to do to Delaney that will make her a very happy woman.

Rocket is a fast-paced romantic short story that has a sizzling connection that will melt the ice if Harrison and Delaney are not careful. These two characters fit together well and there is a nice epilogue. This is a great first story in the series and I am so looking forward to reading the next to come.

If you like sports romances and want to see a nice guy end up with a nice girl, this book is for you. Don't get me wrong... there was STEAM!!
Harrison is an aging hockey star who had his fun and wild times with the Puck Bunnies and is holding out for a real relationship. Delaney is at the game with her puck bunny friend and is wearing Harrison's number. While he is in the penalty box he catches a glimpse of her across the ice and can't stop looking... he's hooked. After the game the two are introduced and decide to hang out with the rest of the team even though neither of them are into the bar scene, so they decide to call it a night.

If you like insta-romances and steamy reads then this book is for you. It is a quick read, but definitely long enough to keep you interested. You will not be disappointed, quick read, sexy sports star, inst-love and STEAM!!! You can't go wrong!!

I liked this story a lot. The characters were awesome and relatable.

Harrison is a hockey player for The Chaos. He isn't a partier and has a reputation for being serious on and off the ice. When Harrison sees a curvy girl wearing his jersey, he can't keep his eyes off of her. He wants to get to know her but doubts that he will be able to find her.

Delaney is a fan of the San Francisco Chaos. Harrison Douglas is a defender and her favorite player. Delaney hadn't planned to go to the game and she never imagined that she would get to meet him. She's floored when he seems to show interest in her.

I loved that Harrison was so sweet with Delaney. Harrison is definitely book boyfriend worthy! Delaney was nice and a good match for Harrison. I liked how she teased Harrison. Their happy ever after made me happy. I recommend reading this book.

This is an ARC short story by Jane fox and it's a first book in a new series, Love On The Ice. The two main characters are HARRISON and DELANEY.
On his way to the penalty box, Harrison spotted her, the beautiful girl wearing a hockey Jersey with his number and Harrison
has fallen instantly in love.
Delaney was talked into going to the hockey game by her friend Bynn, who collects pro sport athletes and needed to add hockey athletes to her list. Delaneys one player she cheers for is number 59, Harrison Douglas, and when he wave to her and ask her to join him and the team for after games to celebrate their win, she said yes. And that's all it took to find the love of his life. Harrison was not looking for her, but by total accident he spots the love of his life, in the stands.
I am volunteering to leave a review for a ARC of this book.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in a new series. In this book, Harrison is a hockey player and he is known to keep to himself and not go with the women hanging around the arena. When Harrison sees a woman in the stands wearing his jersey, he wants to find her and get to know her. Delaney went to the game with her friend who wanted to hook up with a hockey player, but Delaney is really a fan. When Harrison finds Delaney, he asks her to go for a drink with him so he can get to know her. Delaney finds it hard to believe Harrison is really interested in her, but Harrison knows she is the woman for him. I liked this instant love story. I like Harrison didn't go with just any woman. I like he wasn't a player and he wanted something serious with Delaney. Good one.

I swear Jane Fox continues to amaze me at her beautiful ability to tell stories. I’m not sure why I was a bit hesitant to start this book but I was. I guess because I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve read a few hockey romances in the past and they’re all about sexy gruff alphas who are eventually tamed by the woman they discover makes them want to be a better man. Harrison however took me by surprise with his sexy confidence that he found his one and only girl Ian’s that was Delaney. He just had to make her a believer and unfortunately for Ginger she was going to have to take the back seat for now. Something tells me as long as that keeps Delaney around she’ll be just fine.

Rocket is book one in the ‘’love on the ice’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Hockey player Harrison spots a beautiful young woman in the crowd, he is hooked. Delaney is a big hockey fan and Harrison is her favourite player. With the chance for love up for grabs, will they get it?
The chemistry between Harrison and Delaney is clear to see and I liked them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

She's a huge fan, and he's her favorite player. He's not into hitting the bars after a game, and certainly not into puck bunnies. But when he see her from the ice... Anyone who's know me for more than a minute knows how much I love romance stories, and in my top 5, a sweet story with a sexy hockey player - doesn't need to be a long story, just steaming hot! This first book in the new series certainly delivers exactly what I love. Harrison and Delaney have great chemistry, and it doesn't take them long to find their groove. Very fast read, but oh so good! This book is the perfect break from reality. Harrison is a NHL star, a hockey god. Normally he doesn't want to go out after a game, doesn't want anything to do with the women waiting for the team after the game. But Delaney he noticed during the game, and she's only waiting afterwards to keep her friend company. While Delaney is a big hockey fan, a big Harrison fan, once they meet she's one of the few to treat him like a person not a trophy. Very quick pace, but well worth the read.

Rocket: Love on the Ice introduces us to Jane Fox’ new series centering on the hockey world. Hockey player Harrison Douglas is ready for a change in the women that usually hang out at the games. He wants a real women who actually knows the game. Enter Delaney an avid Chaos Hockey Team fan who just so happens to like watching Harrison on the ice and is a huge fan. She also is not out to add a hockey player to her list of men! If this first book is any indication of the books to come we are in for a real treat!

Rocket (Love on the Ice Book 1) by Jane Fox. I enjoy reading sports related romance, especially hockey! I don’t really understand the sport but for some reason I really enjoy the love stories. Delaney not only loves hockey she is one of Harrison’s biggest fans. He quickly becomes her biggest fan too . This is a fast paced short story with plenty of swoon worthy heat that will have you routing for the BIG HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a super fast read only took me about 30 minutes to read so perfect for when you need something fast and an easy read

Delaney has always been a fan of the San Francisco Chaos ice hockey team and her favourite player has always been Harrison Douglas even if he is the quite member of the team in fact she wears his jumper when she goes to the games. The he notices her in the crowd and wants to get to know her Do they have a chance at a future together when this quite solemn man finally finds what he want to hold for ever

A great short read that will have you looking for more from this author. Harrison is a hockey player and Delaney is a fan of the team and Harrison in particular wearing his jersey. He is smitten and when he spots her outside with fans waiting for the players to come out he approaches her. He invites her to a local bar with the team to celebrate and they get to know each other better. These two are so hot and steamy that the only thing for them is a HEA.

Too Short

This is a great length for a lunch break read and I enjoyed that. What is missing is any kind of depth that even short stories can achieve with clever, judicious writing.
The book is offered as a curvy young woman meets alpha older male but there is nothing in the narrative that really covers either of these aspects.
Also why is it entitled ‘Rocket’? Is that meant to be his nickname?
It’s like a take-away meal, great while your eating it but an hour later you’re wanting more. That’s how I feel about this book - I wanted more.

Although only a few chapters long, a lot happens in these pages. Harrison is a fighter on the ice, but a gentleman off as Delaney finds out. He is a gentleman when he ask Delaney to go with him for drinks with his team mates. Their story develops over a few days. Would have been nice to have a seen how their relationship developed over the months, however, still a pleasant book.

Delaney watched Harrison get in a fight with Ivanov the ass. Harrison notices her actually watching the game. As his teams wins, the6 are headed to the local watering hole to celebrate. He almost didn’t go until he sees “her” in the back. Plans change and introductions are made in order to lead into a quick adventure.
