A blizzard, a moody Christmas tree farmer, and a chance to be what each other needs. Race car driver Ben Carver’s trip home takes a detour when the storm of the decade dumps on his plans. With no available hotels, he’s committed to riding out the storm and holiday in a restaurant until his phone buzzes and a stranger announces he’s come to save Ben from a Christmas alone. Ben’s ready for a new challenge in his fast-moving life, but the brooding tree farmer might have too many secrets that will keep them from getting their relationship to the checkered flag. Christmas tree farmer Ford Lennox returned to western Nebraska after his parents passed away in quick succession and left unanswered questions about how he really came into the world. He dedicates himself to reviving his parent’s business and giving holiday happiness to others, much to the detriment of his personal life, but one night snowed in with the comfort of the blazing fire and a man who makes his heart race might change his thinking. He’s hidden too much for too long and maybe the past doesn’t matter as much as the future does. Will Ford end up being the best Christmas gift Ben’s ever received? Find out now!
Rowan Nash-- Holidays. Hot guys. And happily ever afters. Enjoy this updated, new cover, fresh pen name holiday story.
You know, it seems to me that if you are going to go to the trouble of re-issuing a book with a new author's name and a new cover... why not take a few minutes and proofread the dang thing? Just sayin'! This series has consistently had the most annoying grammatical errors, like for instance a quote requires a "set" of quotation marks, not just one at the beginning of the quote... *headdesk* :(
I really have, for the most part, enjoyed the books in this series and plan to finish the last two... I just need to prepare myself mentally for the "you have got to be kidding me" mistakes! *snort* LOL!!!
This was my second Holiday Hotties short by this author and while I liked it a bit better than Champagne Cheers: Holiday Hotties it wasn't without it's problems. Just like Champagne Cheers there was promise, unlike Champagne Cheers the execution was marginally better. I didn't find this one to be as choppy the flow was better but still in need of some work.
TAGS -- Holiday/Christmas -- fast easy read -- liked the MCs... Ben and Ford -- some very sweet moments -- brother's bestfriend -- first boyfriends -- first time -- felt rushed -- unnecessarily long epilogue -- in need of some clean up -- less than 100 pages
The preview was intriguing but the delivery was mostly misguided fantasy. This author knows little about cold weather, heating with wood stoves, or grammar. The story devolved rapidly into a mishmash of imagined situations. By the ti e I reached the epilogue, I no longer cared.
Another cute romance, however just like the other book by this author I've read, it was very insta love and the epilogues felt a little too long. Once again must have been done in first person pov originally. I loved the friendship between the two racers, and would have liked to see more of the relationship between the brothers.
