When you have a name like Kandi Cornne, you're destined to either become a stripper... or own a candy store.
For me? It's the latter. That's right, my name is Kandi and I own a candy store in the quaint New England town of Maple Grove. Which in October? It means three things:
1) Tourists are coming in droves for "leaf-peeping" season
2) My candy store business is booming
3) The sexy pumpkin farmer, Ford Kane is everywhere
Since he harvests pumpkins and I sell candy, Halloween is both of our prime seasons and our businesses often cross. Even though he's hated me for years, ever since his best friend and I broke up, we need to find a way to work together in a civil manner.
While I may not be able to soften that grim demeanor of his... the five black kittens we find might. If only he knew how much he had me purring as well...

Bewitching You by Katana Collins is a Maple Grove Halloween Novella. Obviously I’m a little late getting to this but I’ve been wanting to read it ever since it came out. The cover is just so adorable. And that’s just what this book is, adorablely sugary sweet, just like the heroine. Let me tell you about her.
Kandi Cornne is twenty six years old and is known as Maple Grove’s bohemian princess. She’s living her dream owning her own candy shop in the small town she fell in love with. Several months earlier she got out of a two year relationship with a man who she thought she had loved until she finally saw him for the man he really was, no good. And that included his best friend, Ford, who she thought was just as bad.
Ford Kane is a farmer in Maple Grove. Part of his farm is a bountiful pumpkin patch that keeps him very busy in October. Ford had ended his friendship with Ben when he saw how he was treating his then girlfriend, Kandi. Ford puts all his efforts into his farm, staying completely away from women for the last couple of years. But that hasn’t stopped him from a few fantasies and it’s always Kandi’s face he sees.
When their paths cross, Ford and Kandi both realize that they have both been manipulated by Ben. Now that they are able to see each other truthfully, sparks quickly fly.
“Something in that deep gaze of his. Something kind and warm, but also raw. I found myself drawn to him in a way that I couldn’t understand.”
But what would someone like Kandi want with a farmer who has to go to bed early and get up even earlier to take care of his farm. Kandi was a city girl. Can their insecurities be overcome so they can give each other a chance to see where things go?
“We came from such different worlds. But right now? This was a world we both knew. A languge we both spoke. And I wasn’t about to let our differences get in the way of this, here, and now.”
This was short, oh so sweet and very sexy and so much fun. I adored these two. It is the perfect feel good, warm and fuzzy afternoon read for a rainy day which is exactly the sort of day I had when I read it. I haven’t read much by this author but have loved what I have read so far and can’t wait for more.

In the small-town of Maple Grove, it’s the peak of Halloween season for Kandi Cornne (Ha! You heard correctly) and her candy store. Busy preparing for her annual pumpkin decorating contest, the local farmer, Ford, lends a helping hand.
While I can say this is a sweet romance, there’s an extra dose of steam as well. Beginning as two people completely irritated by one another, combined with the history of Ford being friends with Kandi’s ex-boyfriend, there’s a lot of hidden tension between them. The chemistry was definitely there.
Being a novella, however, I wanted more. The conflict towards the end was a tad anticlimactic and the resolution felt too easy. But overall, this was a fun story and I’m tempted to check out the full length novels from the series.

This light-hearted novella centered around Halloween was perfect. It was short and sweet and SEXY AF!
I fell for Kandi and Ford immediately. They were adorable together. Well, that is, once they got over their annoyances.
These two had the wrong ideas about each other.
Their misconceptions had them
wanting to steer clear of each other.
But their sizzling chemistry couldn’t keep them apart.
And once they were together, sparks flew! Fireworks went off! And kitties appeared. Yes, you read that correctly.
This was a delightful Halloween story that gave me all the feels. Exactly what I needed.

Bewitching You was a cute fall romance between a candy store owner and a pumpkin farmer.
Kandi Cornne's busiest month of the year at her store is October. With Halloween only days away, Kandi still needs to set up for her pumpkin decorating contest which means dealing with pumpkin farmer Ford Kane. Kandi and Ford have never gotten along, but with their businesses being so complementary, they need to find a way to be civil. When the pair finds five black kittens behind Kandi's store, they begin to spend more time together and an attraction quickly sparks between them.
Bewitching You is the only book I've read in the Maple Grove series and it works well as a standalone. There are some side characters I'm guessing are from the other books but otherwise this one is self-contained. The chemistry between Kandi and Ford was fantastic and their connection was instantaneous. I really enjoyed them together and thought they fit well together despite their obvious differences. This book was steamier than I expected it to be based on the cover and I really enjoyed those scenes. My only complaint was how quickly their relationship developed, the book takes place over only a few days and by the end they're professing their love.
Overall Bewitching You was a fun read and I would recommend it to readers looking for a quick contemporary romance.

I’m in a Halloween novella mood, and this sweet and sexy Kindle Unlimited option hit the spot. It’s got the ex-boyfriend’s friend trope, half a dozen cats, and plenty of that Halloween atmosphere I was looking for.
Kandi Kornne (I know, right?) holds a pumpkin decorating fundraiser every year at her candy store in quaint Maple Grove. This year, though, the pumpkins are being delivered by Ford Kane, the local farmer who purchased the pumpkin patch. This is a novella, so there’s not terribly too much character development. Both start out prejudiced against each other due to Kandi’s ex-boyfriend, Ben. Kandi’s worried that Ford is cut from the same cloth as her selfish jerk of an ex-boyfriend, which isn’t a big stretch as they used to be best friends. Ford has a pretty big chip on his shoulder about being seen as a poor hick farm boy. Kandi comes from a rich family – the kind of girl who uses “summer” as a verb, as Ford says derisively – and Ben’s led him to think she’s nothing but a spoiled rich princess. On the other hand, Ben told Kandi that Ford tried to convince him to end their relationship and gave her the “Princess” nickname. Some of their preconceptions are true, and some are not, but early on in the novella they figure out that Ben lied out of his teeth to both of them.
Here we get to the one quibble I have with the book – the relationship moves very, very fast. They go right from “he’s a jerk!” and “she’s a spoiled princess” to “what Ben lied?!?!” and to screwing on a table filled with pumpkins. Afterwards, obviously, they have some recalibrating to do. Ford doesn’t want to be a rebound and worries that rich Kandi won’t fit in his farm-centered world, while Kandi views Ford’s attempt to put the brakes on as evidence that he’s not interested in a relationship. I loved how Kandi put her foot down on what she wanted from a relationship, and I loved how Ford accepted her list of rules and thoughtfully lived up to them. Aside from the obligatory black moment (courtesy of the ex-boyfriend), they had really great communication (and pretty hot sex), though, again, the speed of it gave me a bit of whiplash. It is a novella, though, and it was fun to see their relationship develop, even if it was only over a few days.
As for the Halloween content, it’s got a little bit of everything. There’s Halloween-named black cats, pumpkin decorating, trick or treating, sweet potato pecan pie, and apple cider. It’s cute and sweet, and aside from the ex-boyfriend content and one moment with a gun where Kandi and Ford think there’s an intruder in a candy store, pretty low-key. Overall, this is a fun and frothy Halloween novella, perfect for enjoying with a warm (preferably pumpkin spiced) drink.

Absolutely loved this adorable, fun, sweet and sexy Halloween centered novella! I adore Kandi and Ford! They are both such wonderful characters that even in such a quick read Katana was able to show us what kind of people they are on the inside. Ford is just swoony with the things he does for Kandi. And I love how she shows him what she’s really made of. I’m glad they were able to get past any misconceptions they had about each other given how they originally know each other. They are just perfect for each other in every way and their chemistry and sexy times were positively sizzling! I can’t forget the kittens because they make me want to go adopt more!

In this book you are introduced to Kandi and Ford, two individuals who have inaccurate perceptions of the other. Will the Halloween Festivites be enough to break down their walls and rebuild a beautiful happily ever after?
This is the first book I have read by Author Katana Collins and I found it to be full of humor, loveable characters and sexy scenes. I will definately be looking into more books from this author.

Not What I’d Hoped
I was looking forward to a fun and sweet little Halloween romance, but unfortunately, this wasn't quite it. First, I was turned off by there profanity in the book as well as some crude descriptions. I just don't like books to have profanity. It's one of my big dislikes and can sometimes set a bad tone for the entire book. I didn't quite buy the relationship between the hero and heroine. They had a strange love-hate relationship that got sexual way too fast. If you don't mind very steamy reads with little plot and some profanity, you might like this book.

All the FUN!
I immediately fell into Bewitching You! This book is brimming with personality. Katana Collins weaves a humorous, sexy, Halloween page turner! She is a very special writer that is able to make the real world melt away. I was completely hooked as the scenes unfolded in front of me. I couldn’t stop smiling!!
This book was SO entertaining! This was my first book by this author and it won’t be the last! Can’t wait for the next one!

Loved this fun Halloween story with Kandi and Ford. Misconceptions about people are so easy to make and keep until you learn that not everything is as it seems. This was a quick read but it covered all the bases one would need for a great book. If you are looking for a quick, fun, Halloween read then this is the book for you.

Ford and Kandi's story was such an adorable story. I'm not a huge fan of holiday hooks but this Halloween story was lovely. I loved how Katana Collins was able to fit such a good plot line in a novella. It didn't feel like a novella, but a novel that I read way too fast. I'm loving the characters in this series and I'm excited for more books!

Oh my God, this book was hilarious. An amazing read from Katana. Kandi and Ford Kane were great characters. He was your very own grumpy guy, who has a hard time admitting that he actually likes Kandi and Kandi hated him out of principle because he was her ex's best friend. A lovely story.

Kandi Cornne is a candy store owner, and yes, that's her name. Ford Kane is her ex-boyfriend's best friend. This book does have a prequel before it in the series.
He is a hardworking small-town farmer. She, according to him, is very spoiled, having everything handed to her. They aren't friends, but they aren't enemies either. Technically she should be off-limits, but the demon on his shoulder thinks otherwise.
He is a jerk telling the spooky stories as a joke. But she doesn't know that. Things get steamy very fast between them as they each explore this chemistry. However, when he gets it, he then decides to take things slow. She has been burned badly by his ex-best friend and is slow to trust. He understands and seems to be very caring.
They have a few relationship difficulties like communication and acceptance of another person caring. But this story is filled with sweet, romantic, and steamy scenes plus a whole bunch of laugh-out-loud moments.
I enjoyed this novella and looked forward to reading more in the Maple Grove series and the holiday novellas. This was a sweet small-town romance with a lot of fantastic banter and steamy magnetic scenes. This novella is a Halloween-themed read with many puns and an incredible couple working out their differences.
He is a hardworking small-town farmer. She, according to him, is very spoiled, having everything handed to her. They aren't friends, but they aren't enemies either. Technically she should be off-limits, but the demon on his shoulder thinks otherwise.
He is a jerk telling the spooky stories as a joke. But she doesn't know that. Things get steamy very fast between them as they each explore this chemistry. However, when he gets it, he then decides to take things slow. She has been burned badly by his ex-best friend and is slow to trust. He understands and seems to be very caring.
They have a few relationship difficulties like communication and acceptance of another person caring. But this story is filled with sweet, romantic, and steamy scenes plus a whole bunch of laugh-out-loud moments.

Kandi runs a candy store and during the Halloween‘s sheets season she’s super busy with her ex-boyfriend‘s best friend Ford comes to drop off the pumpkins drama in Sue’s. Realizing that both of them have a thing for each other but also having a dark pass they decide to try and make it work. This is a super cute novella from the Halloween season I recommend it to everybody who was cute sweet romances I give it three stars just because I wish you would’ve been longer and I did feel like some parts were rushed so I didn’t feel like I could give it the normal four stars but I did really enjoy it

It was ok but I just didn't feel the chemistry and why these two were together. In a day they went from hating each other to having sex. I didn't feel them together as a couple.
