Really great story .
Two people don’t realise how much a chance meeting at a lift is going to change their lives and enlighten them to their failures and successes .
He’s been screwed over by his ex , he’s lost his confidence in women and uses all his spare time to work .
Then he meets her at his attorneys offices and his life is never the same .
A steamy night , or two , and a couple of weeks distance and he realises her can’t live without her.
She’s a paralegal at the firm , she knows his name and what he’s going through, but after that night she doesn’t see him for two weeks, after her blood tests she does everything she can to avoid ever meeting him again .
A really great read one that will entertain and keep you wanting more.

This was my fist book by Eve and it won't be my last. I really liked the dynamic between Diana and David. And David is one of those broken heroes you can't help but feel for. I will admit he was a jerk at time, but he really pulled through and made me like him all the more. I was super impressed by this and can't wait for more!

A paralegal for a prestigious firm, Diana Bluth knew what she looked like. She was plump and knew she was not the one to catch a man's eye. She and her best friend Margie, who worked at another law firm had met for lunch. Margie was accusing her on not even looking at a guy since high school. Not true, she looked at a lot of men, they just didn't look back.
Hurrying back to the office because she knew an important client was coming it, as she stepped out of the elevator, she ran into "the most beautiful man she'd ever seen." Little did she know fate had stepped in and he was her destiny.
He just wanted to get his life straight and get the the woman who was trying to take him for everything she could off is back. David Brenner was a rich man and he'd gone to his friend at the attorney's office where Diana worked.
As the two met again, there was an attraction and one thing led to another. But would that be all? One night?
Good story that held some surprises as these two work their way to a happy ending!

Quick easy read... After the last few books I've delved into this story was very light. Virgin sleeps with Billionaire he's hurting after a failed previous relationship, and thinks she is only after his money too. Soon after she discovers she's pregnant with his baby... is she just a charity case? Or just an incubator for him?

That is until she literally ran into the God like David Brenner at work, he was her bosses client, that meant he was off limits, but that didn't stop her from lusting after him.
David takes one wiff of her peaches scent and he wants more. Then he sees her at a hotel, and like the preditor he is, when he wants something he goes after it. And he wants Diana. One night, one night should get her out of his system. But it wasn't enough... What if she had some ulterior motive for that one night? And how could she be pregnant with his baby when he's sterile? After all his ex-fiance had ulterior motives, and she wanted to ruin him. Is Diana like that?

I love a Eve Black story. This one does not disappoint. There were times when the story was a little slow and I did want the FMC to stand up for herself a bit more. However, I had to remember that this is her first relationship, lover, etc. This is all new to her. In spite of everything I feel she handled herself well. The MMC was challenged from the beginning. He either changed or left her alone. He chooses to change.

Another great story with an actual chubby FM
I hate nothing more than when a book boasts about the FM being Plus sized but she like a size 8. This is the second book I have read by Eve Black in as many days. I really have a love hate thing with angst. But man oh man the grovel! And the Happy ending!?!! All and all another good read. Can't wait to devour the next one!

Score for a fuller gal.
Absolutely loved this. Great dual POV. Loved how the h was a fuller woman and rocked it. Loved how H accepted her for who she was and what she looked like. Glad they were able to get past their hangup and have a happy ending.

well written
Gave this book 3 stars because it’s was well written not the format I like, but over all an ok story. Just wasn’t for me. The lead female was weak and that is a hard pass for me.

One and a half stars, I was close to DNFing.
This is in need of a good editor or vigilant beta reader.
Dubious consent, although they are both drinking before they first have s*x. So double dubious consent, but we only hear that she is affected by the alcohol though, so it makes it seem more dubious on her side.
Then he basically kidnaps her, keeping her stashed in a fancy hotel.
How she is in love with him so soon, given his behaviour is inexplicable.
I wasn't a fan of the crude language used either.
Overall, it's a pretty bland read.

A fast read with hot scenes, some funny dialogues and a hea. Nothing impressive.to read if you are bored and on a holiday 😂

It took her forever but Eve finally wrote another awesome contemporary. I didn't like David for a while there, but he mostly redeemed himself. I love how sassy and strong Diana was, though she did allow some moments of vulnerability. The sexy bits were sexy without the actual intercourse, but I didn't need it to feel the feels.
Well done, Eve! I hope Alexei and Rick get stories, too!
