If you loved Dex and Bianca from Mister Moneybags then you need to read COCKY CAPTAIN. I’ve never read anything by Ellie Masters before but really enjoyed her writing style and will be reading more of her work in the future.
I loved Logan, but my heart was beating for Angel. She truly is the type of book heroine that I adore, and wasn’t afraid to put that cocky pilot in his place. With heaps of funny moments and insane chemistry, this is definitely one of my favourites from the Cocky Hero Club so far.

This book was a fun read. Sometimes reading romance novels, you get bogged down in the angst. Cocky Captain was just pure unadulterated romance with some hints of kink. But what won out more than anything was the romance of Logan and Angel. I know this is Ellie's first book in the Cocky Hero series by various authors, and I hope it is not her last. I liked her slight diversion from her usual themes.
First off, the banter in this book is off the charts. Angel and Logan from the meeting have, aside from the physical chemistry, verbal sparring that is not only hot but hilarious. The whole alliteration thing that keeps feeding on itself kept me in giggles. But the steam between these two is off the charts. Ellie's passionate scenes have an edge to them, unlike any other authors. She manages to keep it swoony but, at the same time, blow it the heck up with passion.
Logan is a family guy who has avoided relationships and kept everything light. Angel is a talented and capable pilot in a field dominated by, well, cocky men. She's private and unwilling to do anything that will jeopardize her position and hard-fought-for respect. It takes Logan a while to figure this out and work his way beyond Angel's defenses.
What really enchanted me about this book was underneath all the cocky was a tender-hearted guy who fell in love and wanted a relationship. Angel took convincing. And then is the competitiveness that exists between the two of them and their attempts to out-do each other. The competitiveness makes for hilarious situations and, honestly, one of the funniest scenes I think I have ever read involved a Purple Hat Club.
One thing Cocky Captain has got me interested in is reading more of the Cocky Hero series. However, I remain a fan of Ellie Masters has she broadens her scope and continues to write hot, passionate, and oh so satisfying romances.

Cocky Captain was totally and absolutely an amazing read full of steamy scenes and rock-your-world romance! The characters were a blast! Their relationship ignited upon contact and the intense chemistry was full of flying sparks. Logan Reid is by far the best male lead I’ve read in a while. Logan is a man who is self-assured and open about where his mind constantly resides. His dirty mouth had me laughing and blushing every minute. The back and forth banter they shared made their relationship flourish and turned this romance into an amazing story. Author Ellie Masters really showed how talented she is. Her words kept me engrossed in the story and made me fall for a man named Logan Reid. In these days of self-isolation and uncertainty in the world, Cocky Captain fit the bill for a little self-care.
Angel is a strong female character. She has fought hard for everything she has and is not going to jeopardize her career for any man looking for a quick roll in the hay looking to give his stallion some exercise. She’s not even sure if she needs a man in her life but those dazzling blue eyes, innuendos, and taboo euphemisms by the minute coming from the sinful mouth of her co-pilot have her writhing and wondering how she is going to keep away. The heat is intense between Angel and Logan and together they rocked my world.
Logan and Angel’s journey to love was a joy to read. The setting of the Cayman Islands let me escape to a tropical paradise and envision how sweet love can be. Ellie Masters did a fantastic job with this Cocky Hero Novel. I really like stories where playboys finally get hit with cupid’s arrow and they are powerless against the pull of love. The ending of Cocky Captain has a few surprises which turned it into one of my all-time favorites. Be ready to smile, laugh, and fall in love while you read this one. I can’t wait to see if there are more books to come for Logan’s single brothers.

Another reason why I love this author is this book, which shows her writing versatility. Cocky Captain is a book that will keep you engaged from start to finish with the whit and humor of both Logan and Angel, then add in their off the charts chemistry and the beautiful setting of the Cayman Islands for part of the book, and now you have a read that you won't be able to put down. These two characters were perfect for each other, Angel is a strong female pilot that won't let Logan get away with his normal shenanigans. And Logan is just the person to get Angel to step outside of her normal routine to see what life could be like outside of the box. This was such a fun read that I did not want their story to end.

Cocky Captain is one of my favorite reads of 2020 so far. I enjoyed Ellie Masters storytelling and writing style. The words just flow nicely from start to finish and you don't even see the ending coming. Angel and Logan's banter and chemistry is hot and funny. I enjoyed their verbal fighting and found myself laughing out loud more than once. It's hot, romantic and just a great cocky read.

Here's what I love about sassy women: They don't give a sh*t about what you think of them, and can stand on their own two feet without any issue.
Ellie Masters (a new to me author) does a PHENOMENAL job of showing what a powerful woman Angel is and that the likes of one hottie fighter pilot named Logan won't stop Angel from achieving what she wants out of life.
But Angel didn't count on falling for the fighter pilot. Suddenly, her world is rocked on its axis, and what she wanted all her life suddenly becomes a dim memory when something more powerful is staring her right in the face--love.
Logan abides by one rule when it comes to women--win her, have her in his bed, but never keep her for longer than that. But when he comes face to face with Angel, his world gets tipped upside down, and now suddenly he has to fight with one thing he wasn't counting on-his heart.
This was another great book in the Cocky World Series, and I look forward to more books from this author!

Cocky Captain immerses us into the world of Mister Moneybags and if it is instant attraction, heat and a little push and pull that you crave, then strap yourself in for one hell of a flight. Logan and Angel are in for a little turbulence as the chemistry between these two sizzles and the storm of attraction brews to breathless moments. The banter between these two is not only passionate but hilarious. A story that is not only flirty, sexy and drama filled but has just enough romance to give you a smooth landing.

This was my first read by this author, and now I am such a huge fan!! I have been loving this world that so many different authors have come together to create, and can't get enough of it!
Banter is a must-have for me in my romances, and this book had it in spades!!! I was smiling and cracking up for the majority of the time I was reading, and just couldn't get enough of these amazing characters!
Logan is a family orientated man who has no desire for a relationship. He's cocky as the title suggests, hilarious, sexy, sweet, vulnerable, ridiculous and everything else in between.
Angel is a badass female pilot in a prominently male field. She strongly dislikes flyboys, and wants nothing to with Logan's smolder and dirty one liners.. until she lets her guard down and sees Logan for the amazing man that he really is.
Though quick, this was an amazing story that I couldn't get enough of! I was laughing so hard, feeling all the feels, and melting along side of my kindle during the sexy moments. You don't want to miss out on this book!

I’m no stranger to devouring a book in a single sitting, but over the last few years I’ve tried to stop reading books until stupid o’clock in the morning. Cocky Captain made me break that rule, as once I started this one I could not put it down. It probably wasn’t the best idea with how I started this one at half eleven at night, but such was the case.
The first couple of chapters, I was a wee bit uncertain about this one. It certainly had me interested, but I wasn’t quite sure if I was going to love it. Then, once things got moving, I was lost to the story. I was hooked on the characters, fell deeply for them, and was so invested in how everything would play out. There was so much to this one, and the chemistry between the characters had me wearing a stupid smile throughout. It was the best kind of intense, a story that hooked me on every level.
In truth, this was more of a four-point-five-star rating. I came close to rounding this one up, as I was super hooked and loved the characters, but there were a couple of things that I felt weren’t quite developed all the way and were pushed a bit aside once they had served their purpose. Of course, I’m just super picky about giving five-star ratings. In fact, I loved this one enough that I’m hoping the side characters get stories, as I will happily devour them.
All in all, this was a fabulous read, and I’ll certainly be diving into more Ellie Masters books in the future.

Logan Reid is the epitome cocky: sexy, gorgeous, dirty talking and overly confident. I'm sure there is a statue of him somewhere that's been erected in honor of his "cockiness." I swear that I chuckled my way through the entire book because of all the ridiculous things he uttered, courtesy of Ellie Masters. He's the ultimate flyboy, nickname and all (you have to read the book to find out what it is.) But, he's about to get his wings clipped by Angel Mars and here's a clue she hates fighter pilots. She also, by his admission, can fly circles around him. She's successfully made her mark in what's essentially a male dominated profession. While he admires her flying abilities, he's determined to quickly seduce her while they're on a three day flying assignment to the Cayman Islands. She's just as determined about keeping things professional and him at arm's length. As far as Logan's concerned, challenge accepted.

Angel has lived her life in the male dominated field of aviation pilots and she is sick of they cocky attitudes. Logan is an ex-blue angel who is as cocky as can be. Thrown together to fly a client to the Grand Cayman, starts out an adventure of a relationship. The places they visit there brought me back to my own vacation there. Logan has to prove to his Angel that he is worth her time and he can be her forever. I loved the 10 date plan and what they did to each other. Fast pace easy to read book with lots of sexy times that had witty banter between the couple.

Wow! This is the first time reading a book by Ellie Masters. I was given ARC of this book. This book is part of the Cocky Hero Club. The chemistry/seduction oozes of the page. The whit and banter had me laughing out loud. Some of those one liners - priceless. I did not see the drama coming. I loved how Logan eventually bought the best out of Angel. Also, how Logan is a family orientated person. The story takes hold of you from the first page and you don't want it to end. I loved it! A 5+ star read for me. Ps even though he watches Frozen he has the Flynn Rider smoulder look from Tangled.

I was hooked on the story that Ms.Masters wove from the first to the last chapter. I really loved the main characters of Logan Reid and Angel Mars. The attraction and chemistry sizzle between them even though neither can stand the other, or can they? We all know, there is a fine line between love and hate.
This story had a little angst, but it was the banter and the humour that had me laughing so much. It was also a romantic and entertaining fun read that left me with a smile on my face. It was steamy and you cannot help but become invested in the story that Ms. Masters wove.

The second Angel and Logan’s eyes met they both felt something all the way across the tarmac. As soon as Logan stepped in the cockpit the chemistry was palpable. Angel may have set her mind to not liking Logan since he was a fighter pilot but the chemistry changed things even when Angel tried to resist.
Angel doesn’t do flings, and she doesn’t give in to cocky pilots especially coworkers. But when push comes to shove even though Logan hasn’t worked for a woman’s attention he learns if he wants a chance with Angel he has to work for it.
There are so many sexual innuendos that will have you cracking up, Angel not giving in easy to Logan and Logan stepping up his game in any way he needs to even when it’s a curveball. I loved this book and the banter between the two. The sexual tension was so hot you could feel it through the pages.

Wow, We did not only get a very Cocky, very confident man with a dirty mouth we got a badass female that could hold her own with any man. I was totally engrossed in this book from the start with the banter between the two main characters. This is my first read by Ellie Masters and I would love to read more as her style of writing was so enjoyable to read.
Logan Reid was a true man and thought with his second head, I should say he never really thought first he just let it dictate his reaction when he was around is co-pilot Angel. Logan can not help himself when he sees a beautiful woman his first impressing is to win her, to have her, but never to keep her.
Angel Mars has worked hard for her place in the company but she had one deep dislike ex-fighter pilots and today she would have to fly with one. She has made a name for herself in this male-dominated field and she defiantly does not mix business with pleasure.

Angelique Mars is not your typical co-pilot. She’s served in the military and has a reputation for landing in less than ideal circumstances, which earned the title of Angel of the Skies. She’s now working a civilian job for a private company. Logan Reid also had a career as a fighter pilot. He’s cocky and just this side of arrogant. He knows what he wants and it’s Angel.
Oh the chemistry with these two! The attraction is evident from the first meeting. Angel tried valiantly to resist (way to make Logan try harder!) but she also wanted to break out of her comfort zone. They were both a little strong-willed...but ultimately they both got what they wanted in the end. We got a little visit from Dex and Bianca Truitt from “Mister Moneybags,” and I loved how this story tied in to the Cocky Hero World.
Ellie Masters did a phenomenal job crafting these characters and their story.

Oh the chemistry with these two! The attraction is evident from the first meeting. Angel tried valiantly to resist (way to make Logan try harder!) but she also wanted to break out of her comfort zone. They were both a little strong-willed...but ultimately they both got what they wanted in the end. We got a little visit from Dex and Bianca Truitt from “Mister Moneybags,” and I loved how this story tied in to the Cocky Hero World.
Ellie Masters did a phenomenal job crafting these characters and their story.

I have to say, this is the first I've read from the 'Cocky Collection' and I'm beyond sold! This was such a FUN story to read. Logan and Angel had me smiling and laughing the whole way through. That's not to say it was all fun and games, there were serious and honest parts as well. I will say I absolutely LOVED the banter between these two. Their attraction was instant, even though Angel despised 'Jet Jocks', there was no denying the sexual tension between them. Off.The.Charts!

Cocky Captain is a perfect addition to the Cocky Hero world. The hero has the greatest overconfident cheesy lines, that I absolutely loved, while the story was also steamy, steamy, steamy!! Cocky Brilliance!
Logan is the perfect cocky captain. He appears with complete swagger and a huge ego, but he's also humbled by his co-pilot, Angel, who has a great flying record. He's fumbling with his normal flirt because not only is Angel beautiful, but she's a fantastic pilot. He's looking forward to their downtime in the Cayman Islands getting to know her a little better.
Angel doesn't mix work and pleasure. When Logan comes out of the gates with his charm and doesn't stop, she eventually gives in and spends time with him while on the Islands. They do have three days to kill and they aren't technically working. However, she knows it can't be more than a fling because they could be scheduled to work together again and her rules are rules for a reason, she doesn't allow distraction while flying, period.
For the first time ever, Logan wants more than a fling and he's determined to make Angel see that they can be more. He is a man that doesn't take no very easily, he comes from a family of nine so being quiet isn't exactly in his nature, nor does giving up. I loved these two characters so much. The sexual tension and banter between Angel and Logan is hot and so enjoyable. I laughed a lot at his lines and their conversations. I loved how determined he was when all she wanted to do was keep him at arms length. Sometimes you just need to let loose and accept things as they come. The author wrote a fantastic story that needs to be added to everyone’s tbr, if it hasn’t been already.

Angel has met her match when she meets Logan and promptly started breaking all her own rules. I love Logan and his cocksure self-esteem. Angel needs a him to bolster hers and get her to loosen up. Lots of witty humor also.

I loved reading about Logan, so full of confidence and sure of himself. He never imagined settling down until Angel. Their story was sweet and full of fun with just the right amount of steamy.

This was the first book I've had the pleasure of reading by Ellie, and a pleasure it certainly was. I adored her writing style, I loved that the book was a mix of hilarious banter, innuendo and angsty moments rolled into one. Logan made me smile, he has cocky marked to the T, while Angel I felt for. A woman with a heart of gold, who has been hurt and struggles in a male dominated field to receive her due credit. She is one boss lady! A fantastic job, and a great addition to this club.

Cocky Captain by Ellie Masters was a fun, sassy exciting book about Logan and Angel. Logan is a Navy Blue Angels ex-fighter pilot now working as a charter pilot , he is bold, smug and has one thing on his mind sex! When he bumps heads with this beautiful, feisty co-pilot Angel who is a highly awarded female Air Force tanker pilot, Logan is so impressed by her accomplishments but that will not stop him from making advances towards her. Angel has no time for this jet jock as she feels that in a man's world she will always have to fight her way up to become a pilot as the fighter pilots get all the glory so she ends up giving him a hard time. Now she is going to be held up on a plane for six hours with cocky, brash, sexy as hell Logan as she is having a hard time with the feelings he is bringing out in her. The sassy interaction between these two will have you laughing as well as panting with Logan's antics. When they have a three day lay over in the Grand Cayman Islands things are about to change for both of them. Can Logan break Angel down with all of his sex talk and get her to be with him? Angel wants no part of flyboy as she doesn't want to be a hit or leave it one night stand. But the more time she resists, Logan is doing all he can to get her to give in as he decides to play nice and wear her down. The relationship finally forms between these two, when Logan saves her from being assaulted is heartwarming and little by little Angel can no longer deny her feelings for him as they finally give into their desire for three wonderful days. When a misunderstanding gets in the way due to Logan thinking he was helping her with her career so they can be together, Angel is infuriated with his interference and now wants no part of him. Logan is confused, angry but with the help from his brothers, the player finally comes to terms that he is falling in love with Angel and now he will do all he can to win her back, even devising a 10 date rule of no sex if she agrees to give their relationship another try. This story was fast paced, entertaining and full of banter and sexy passionate moments throughout this romance story between Logan and Angel. Cocky Captain is a must read, you will love this book! Another new to me author blows me out of the water! One of the reasons I love diving into projects like the Cocky Hero Club is because it gives me a chance to experience new authors in worlds I am already familiar with. I look forward to the cameos but I’m mostly interested in finding new talent.
This one is low on angst and high on sizzle and if you like your romances with both the leads strong and very sure of themselves … this could be a hit for you just like it was for me. I was glued to this story because of the spark. It wasn’t just between Logan and Angel, the story itself had spark! Very romantic, steamy and witty read! High rec from this reader!

This is the first book that I've read by this author and I didn't know what to expect and its part of the Cocky Hero Club Series. This book is a great romance, steamy funny read and I highly recommend it.
Angel is a strong, confident beautiful woman that has has things quite tough. She has always worked her ass off and she has worked hard for everything in her life and for the position that she is in and she wont put that in jeopardy for anyone or anything and I love her for that and she loves her job more than anything. She always gave as good as she got especially with her cocky captain.
Logan is a gorgeous, loyal sexy man who was also a pilot captain and with a cocky mouth to go with it. Logan really likes Angel but it does take him a while to break through and reach her heart. They could both do with some tender loving too. When they have to unexpectedly have to spend time together Logan feels that this is his chance to show her that he is worth her time.
Will these two keep butting heads or will the love shine through?

Taking a break from the series Cocky Bastard, we move to the world of Mister Moneybags by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland. Cocky Captain features Dex and Bianca from that series but focuses on their private pilots. Dex and Bianca Truitt are on their way to the Caymans for a holiday and flying their plane are Angel and Logan. Angel is one of those female pilots who takes no crap from anybody and Logan is one of those guys who knows he is all that and more aka our Cocky Captain. I have to admit while reading this, I imagined our lead characters having the same personalities and chemistry as Kenzie Bly and Marty Deeks from NCIS LA as I have been currently bingeing the series during the lockdown with Angel being the serious one and trying hard to be a tough female as she is in a dominant male world and Logan being the cocky and cheeky Captain. He also looks like he would be the "fun" one in his bunch of friends as he seemed to have a great sense of humor throughout the book. For me that is what made me enjoy the story as overall I found this one quite a slow-burn and the character Angel annoyed me with her whole hard-to-get attitude. We have an edgy scene which is a turning point in the novel where a guy believes Angel was leading him on, which in a way - was her whole hard-to-get attitude but still, nobody asks for that to happen. Overall if you are looking for an "I'm going to play hard to get" novel, then Cocky Captain is the read for you as she does play hard to get right through the whole story. Ellie Masters outdid herself this time with some of the best one liners in a book ever woven within a story of firsts, lasts and maybes!
Of course it helped that these one liners were coming from none other than Cocky ex Fighter Pilot turned commercial Captain Logan Reid.
Angelique Mars has been dubbed 'Angel of Skies', she has landed planes with broken landing gears, and engines on fire but she has been passed over for captain to many times to count so it doesn't help when Logan steps straight in as Captain especially as he is everything she hates in a man, ex fighter pilot and aren't all fighter pilots cocky? it would also appear that Logan is the biggest one she has ever meet it also doesn't help that he is handsome and commands everything around him even her lady bits!
Logan doesn't do relationships he doesn't need to he is the love em and love em guy but from the moment he meets Angel the air is charged with electricity and Logan is feeling things he has never felt before! and he is determined to explore this while they are on their 3 day stop in the Cayman Isles but Angel has other ideas already believing she knows enough about Logan she is confident she can keep her distance - but she was banking on 3 days with a determined Logan and who can resist anyone with one liners like this - "seeing how the stallion as been pt in the stable, you'll have to wait if you want me to attack the pink fortress." Priceless! The comedy and the chemistry between the two is fantastic and Angel gives as good as she gets and I love some of her pay backs they were ingenious.
I loved how this stories develops and how giving control to someone in the bedroom doesn't make you weak but can make you stronger.
