Almost a year after her divorce from a supremely selfish man, Cassidy Cantrell doesn’t want to be alone for the Holidays. As it were, her best friend is going to Wyoming, and she asks Cassidy to come along. However Cassidy starts on the wrong foot: she hasn’t even boarded the plane, that she sprains an ankle; so much for skiing! Cassidy’s friend hadn’t mentioned either the drop-dead gorgeous cowboy who picks them up, Cassidy literally; Griff Stone catches Cassidy’s eye, and he is totally smitten; things are looking up!
What a perfectly wonderful Christmas story! I love both Cassidy and Griff; they are such a lovely match, and the attraction they felt towards each other is palpable. The way they are introduced to each other is delicious, and I loved the banter: flirtatious, playful, relaxed and humorous. Neither was looking to hook up nor to find their happy ever after; Griff having been jilted not that long ago is certainly not averse to finding love, but they are both open to whatever happens. I loved how the romance progressed, from a teasing flirtation to smouldering sexual tension, to both of them realising that there is more than meets the eye.
I love Victoria Vane’s cowboys, and Griff is a cowboy I wish us all for the New Year! A COWBOY’S MIDNIGHT KISS is a delightful story; it’s pleasant, fun, light, sexy, and I wished it had been longer – much longer – because I love those characters, I loved their story; everything is just perfect!

My Thoughts..
What all will happen when a divorced Cassidy Cantrell best friend ask her to go on holiday at a Ski Resort with her and there she meets one delicious treat of meeting a cowboy Griffin Stone? Well, be ready for a wonderful captivating read with lots of banter with lots of flirtatious and playful humor with a little sadness thrown in. I loved the characters along with Cassidy, Cassidy's best friend Liz and daughter Mandy, Griffin and his sweet nephew. What will happen as Cassidy finds Griff one whole package...'caring, sexy, funny and smart?' What is up with Cassidy's ex when he blackmails her? Now that Cassidy has been with Griffin who has also been in a bad relationship [being jilted] will she choose to stay with him or will she go back to her ex who is trying to get her back? To find out what all it is about you will have to pick up "A Cowboy's Midnight Kiss: Romancing Griffin Stone" to see how well this author delivers to the readers a wonderful HEA. .
If you are wanting a short, sweet romantic novella then you have come to the right place to enjoy this read.
4 Stars!...to "A Cowboy's Midnight Kiss" by author Victoria Vane.
**I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review**
Oh how I enjoyed reading this sweet story! This romance takes place the days prior to Christmas and ends on New Year's Day. Our couple, Cassidy and Griffin, definitely had chemistry from the very beginning and they fell for each other pretty quickly. However I didn't have that intense instalove feeling you get with novellas which I was pleased about.
Griff and Cassidy both had emotional baggage they needed to move forward from. Their romance was believable; it developed realistically. God, I really loved Griff! Cassidy was a likable character too. I would have loved this to be a full length novel. There were secondary characters here as well that were likable and I would have liked more of them as well.
So if you are looking for a short, sweet romantic novella to get you in the holiday mood, I totally recommend, "A Cowboy's Midnight Kiss!"
I really enjoyed this sweet story! This is the first book of Victoria’s that I have read. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting a sweet, short, Christmas story. Once I started this book, I didn’t put it down. From start to finish I was left with a cheesy smile on my face. I adore Cassidy and Griffin!
Ten months after her divorce and left at a crossroads in her life, Cassidy Cantrell takes her best friend up on her offer of a holiday at a ski resort. Before she has arrived at her destination, she is clumsy enough to fall and sprain her ankle. When Cassidy, Liz and Liz’s daughter, Mandy arrive at the apartment, Cassidy meets handsome cowboy, Griff. Griffin has been stung by love before, when his ex left him two months before their wedding; Griffin doesn’t want to get hurt again. Especially not by the designer clothes wearing blonde rich girl. But when a family emergency happens and Liz and Mandy have to go back home, Cassidy stays and slowly starts to get to know Griff. As the pair grow closer and feeling starts to grow, Cassidy has to grovel to her heart surgeon ex for a favour, in order to help her best friend. But in order for her to receive the urgent favour, she has to return to Florida and spend a week at sea with her ex. Gutted about Cassidy’s departure Griffin hopes that she will return to him and they can make a go at being a couple. But will Cassidy return? Will Griffin get his happily ever after with his woman?
Cassidy is recovering from the divorce of her husband of 8 years. She has supported him while became a talented surgeon but unfortunately, his success and dedication sucked everything out of what remained of their marriage. Cassidy’s girlfriend insist that she get away with her and look for a rebound guy in Jackson Hole. Cassidy’s bad luck continues when she sprains her ankle before arriving at the ski resort. Griffin Stone keeps an eye on the condo Cassidy and her girlfriend will be staying in. Never leaving a lady in distress, Griffin scoops Cassidy up and carries her up the steps and safely into the condo. Cassidy can’t fight the physical attraction she feels to Griffin but once he continues to check on her and keep her company, she finds that he is the whole package: sexy, smart, funny, and caring. Now Cassidy must decide is she should return home and stay a while to see where things go with Griffin and there is her pesky ex-husband who blackmails Cassidy into coming to see him because he thinks they ought to give their marriage another try. Who does Cassidy choose? Should she give into her ex-husband in exchange for him saving her friend’s family member or does she follow her heart and return to Griffin and she is what they have is worth the risk? A Cowboy’s Kiss at Midnight by Victoria Vane is a quick-read romance about two damaged people taking another risk at love. The book was as hot as the chemistry between the two main characters, Griffin and Cassidy. The book beautifully captured what it is like for anyone who has had their heart broken, to decide to take a risk, and give love another try. This is sweet romance novel set around Christmas (which is the perfect read her before too long). A Cowboy’s Midnight Kiss does have a HEA ending. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys traditional romance books.
Cassidy, divorced from her self-centered, controlling, physician husband, who had changed his mind about having children, was invited on a Christmas vacation with her friend and her teenage daughter to Wyoming. Of course, she fell at the airport and ended up on crutches but I found it interesting that she traveled with her Kindle! She met Griffin Stone as she was struggling up the stairs to the condo. She had a secret weakness for a man in a cowboy hat and preferred a man in boots and jeans to suits.
Both of their previous relationships left them feeling raw and knowing what they definitely didn’t want in a relationship. They felt a connection when they met and found it easy to tease and flirt but it wasn’t insta-love. There was a believable connection even with the shortness of the story and the interruption of their time together.
My heart broke for Griff when he watched his brother and family enjoy Christmas and he wanted a family for himself.
A short but definitely sweet and sexy story and perfect to get into the holiday mood!
Do you a fun quick passionate read? This is the book for you. With only 94 pages the author puts together a Christmas time heart warming love story about recently divorced Cassidy and jilted rancher Griffin. The characters are presented as normal people going through life's problems and still having hope for a fulfilling life they will love. She writes about the ups and downs of Cassidy's life after divorce in a manner that is powerful and hopeful.
In this story the author touches on the brokenness of a women who gets a divorce, tries to move on and what disillusionments sometimes occupy this event. There is a strong thread running through it of making the right choices that cause life changing events.
I give it 4 STARS for it's positive portrayal of life after divorce.
I hope you give it a quick read......you won't be disappointed.

This is the first time in reading this author for me. I really enjoy a good cowboy romance from time to time but it is the time that is hard to find. This story line grabbed me with me wanting to take the time for this one. I also had a sense that once I started this one it would captivate me. I sure was right the characters grabbed ahold of me, plopping me in their story. Cassidy divorced she is from a life that has turned artificial and thank goodness she is the type that realizes money is not everything. She gets away but to run into Griffin thanks to mishap and her friend. Things though will take a turn to where we ride with these two as a relationship builds that also gives us the warmth needed on a cold night. I read romance for the love and it has it's own power that can be demonstrated in lives as this author has captured and done in this novel. When tragedy tries to strike with a sacrifice tries to be made love will step in showing us what it can do with the strength it has. When finished with this one satisfaction is given because this is a romance well written.
Just what the doctor ordered.. Oh wait in this case the tall, sexy cowboy “might” just be what her best friend ordered, or at least thinks she needs. Sadly for our heroine of the story, Cassidy, her marriage has ended in divorce and she’s at a loss for what she wants to do or where to go to basically start over. With Christmas just around the corner she agrees to go on a ski/mountain get-away with her BFF and her BFF’s daughter. I don’t do spoilers and with the story being a novella, I’ll just say this a well written exciting novella about starting over. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters, including Griff’s adorable little Nephew. I love this face-paced romantic story with bits of humor and sadness thrown it. 2 thumbs up and I Highly recommend this heartwarming story for a cold winter night!
Such a wonderful lovely story about love forsaken, only to be opened to the possibility of a new and better love. These characters are well written, right down to the two children in the story. All of the characters are so likeable, well except for the ex-husband, but you tend to forget about him after meeting Griff. He is one hot cowboy and will have you wishing to have one for your very own. The storyline, though beginning with a bit of heartbreak with the end of a marriage, is light and free flowing. It is a very pleasant read that will make your think of a Hallmark Christmas movie. And don't we all love those!
