I cannot stress enough how thankful I am that Lecter continued this series. I’ll never tire of these characters and their story. Going basically back in time and filling in some gaps, and seeing some other POVs is the perfect way to continue on with the story without feeling like it’s being drawn out too far. My only complaint is that I wish there was a quick summary of what’s going on in the series before each story starts. I’m able to orient myself eventually, but considering we’re jumping around in time throughout a 12 book series it would’ve been helpful to have a small summary.
Loved this novella. Not only do we get a sneak peak of what’s it’s like to be in Nate’s head but we get to be filled in a little of what happened after they got to the bunker. Very much enjoyed.
After reading the Green Field series and this one I think some of the content from this short .story would have given the reader a better understanding of Mate.
I would've enjoyed these short stories had they been included in the now finished series. As I already completed Green Fields series they just fell short.
