They say that Lucifer was a fallen angel, cast out from a heaven too pure for his brand of evil. But they were wrong.Lucifer was a god, biding his time until he found his own kingdom in hell. When Sid Rain gets on the wrong side of the Unsaints, she finds out just how deep their ties run, and just how dark their sins are.She finds out, too, that Lucifer is not at all who she thought he was. He’s worse. While she searches through the history of Alexandria and the twisted connection to her brother, she discovers not all secrets are meant to be shared, and sometimes running away is far less brutal than fighting back. Book 2 of Unsainted
I don't even know what I think right now to be honest. 🙈😂 All I know is I have a big fucking soft spot for Jeremiah Rain, and he deserves better! Yes, I'm fucking insane. 🤣 I need help. 😭 I realize this.
Why couldn't this be reverse harem?! 😭 I would love Sid with Lucifer and Jeremiah. I would say someone else too, but that ship has sailed. 😩
i was seriously here for the vibes. I don't think the author even knows what to make of the plot, and the reason the whole society of 6 was after Jeremiah and Sid was so lame. Most of the topics were brushed off as if they didn't really matter.
this follows right after book 1, so it's not a standalone! this whole series is connected. and it has somewhat sharing moments (not threesome).
“My feelings for Jeremiah aren’t too different than my feelings for Lucifer, and that makes me feel…gross.”
Sid is so fucking indecisive, i can't. She couldn’t even decide who to trust (understandable), but one minute she hates Jeremiah, the other she realizes that he's her safe place and she loves him. It's the same with Lucifer, she hates him but then fucks him. Luce was right about saying that this girl is predictable because SHE LIKES SEX.
She was sold to different men throughout her life as in foster families, she killed them and didn’t cower, and that made her a liability? like bffr
Lucifer is also freaking indecisive! Even though he had cute moments and I did like some scenes, he was clueless. He didn’t even know what to do, and all his "I HAVE TO LET HER DIE" shit was confusing. again, one moment he is like 'i hate her' but the next he's all possessive & jealous.
“I’ve always wanted to fuck you.”
JEREMIAH RAIN IS THE ONLY ONE WHO ACTUALLY HAD BRAINCELLS AND KNEW WHAT HE WANTED! He wanted Sid. Only Sid. And even though it was so fucked up to read about him kissing her (when she didn’t know he wasn't his brother), I enjoyed that 😭 I seriously am not like this, but I can't help but root for Jeremiah. One moment he was all sorry, then again he becomes manipulative and toxic, but at least he's not hurting her. also, i'm crying, but their about-to-be sex scene was crazy but hot!
He's unhinged, psycho, and did such filthy things ugh but so did Lucifer. And Lucifer is low-key jealous of Jeremiah because he's HOT. also, villains who get out of nasty situations with a SMILE on their faces... HOT X 100.
Maverick's book is next, and whatever was between him and Ria was confusing and messy. nvm it's not like he'll end up with her. besides... the real incest was between him and Sid guys 😭💀
this duet was not really big on plot, but Lucifer and Sid got their happy ending, and I'm glad for it! And fuck, if she's not with Jeremiah, at least he's single... if I don't continue this series, that is. 🥹
What a book... I loved it. Rose knows how to write characters that you just don't know what to expect from. I literally couldn't guess any of what would happen. Things got so dark and so bleak for Sid that it seemed so hopeless. So many twists.
And such a gratifying ending. So worth all the wondering who can be trusted. Because guess what? No matter what someone's true intentions may be in a moment, sometimes the actions or inactions of another can change what you do, no matter what you had planned.
Lucifer and Sid, Jeremiah and Sid, just Sid... so many times when reading this, I just wanted them to spill what they know instead of trying to find out what the other knows. But even in real life, we do this. Try to find out what we want to know, withholding information that we know someone else wants for different reasons. Sometimes those reasons are petty, sometimes it's to maintain control. It's just all the little things in life we do, the author takes them and makes extreme cases and it totally works. I freaking loved it.
So now there's a third book coming out near the end of March. I put it on my calendar because I want it so much. Haha.
A girl works as an escort and decides she wants to commit suicide on Halloween. She goes out for the last time dressed as Lilith. She meets a guy named Lucifer who leads her to an abandoned asylum where they do this ritual called Lover's Death. They do a blood exchange, make some promises, and have sex. Then she wakes up naked in the woods with another guy, Jeremiah, who fills her in what happened, and realizes he is her brother she got separated from years ago. Bad stuff happens! Lots of bad stuff.
This story is pretty dark. It leaves you not knowing who to trust or if there is a way out.
Just read it. Unless you have triggers. Then don't. There's so many bad things happening and that happened that are mentioned that if you have a trigger, just don't.
I added this warning to the top but because of the severity of the triggers in this book, I'm adding it here, too.
Warning: Contains graphic violence, bad language on nearly every page, words that will make your skin crawl, flashbacks of abuse, drug use, and has triggers for most...everything. Please don't take this warning lightly. If you're apprehensive reading this, it's probably best to stay away.

Ugh I have to start this by saying I absolutely hate writing bad reviews like this.... but for this it is necessary.
I kind of enjoyed the first book to a point I guess you could say. It had its flaws, didn't WOW me like I expected, but after reading the positive reviews of this second book in the series I figured why not continue, it has to get better right?
Wrong. Very very wrong.
It feels like the author had no idea where she wanted to go with the plot. There were random topics thrown in like child trafficking that showed a brief highlight, then faded like it never even mattered or no longer was part of the plot.
My biggest issue with this book was the indecisive plot gaps. Are they siblings? Yes. No. Yes. No? Yes? Oh, like 5 of them are suddenly half siblings? No again? But half of them are sleeping with each other?
On that same topic, it severely bothered me with the back and forth actions of Lucifer. Hes chaining her up, nope he wants her dead now, oh false alarm he's in love with her again, back to being chained up, wants to get her pregnant, can't wait to bury her dead body, then they get married?
The same with the time frames here, she leaves and 2 weeks go by? 3 days? Another week? You mean to tell me that she's being hunted down by 2 separate cults and they're not actively in person hunting her down?
This book was just a massive fail for me with HUGE plot errors. Hard to follow, and lost my interest. I'm not sure how there can be 2 more books in this series but I will not be reading them.

Lucifer & Lilith have really been through it y’all. Usually, I keep chapter notes as I’m reading, either my thoughts or just things that stuck out to me, and I could not even begin to share those with anyone. My brain was a convoluted mess of “what is happening here?” for the majority of this book.
Let’s talk about Lucifer. He is not my favorite man in this series, but sheesh he really put it out there in this one. I did way less guessing about his motives, and more swooning in the strangest places.
“No one else’s. Ever. We’re done. This is it. Hate me, love me, run from me. I don’t care. You’re stuck with me.” I mean who isn’t just completely over the moon for the guy who says these things? Apparently I am not immune.
Sid continues not to disappoint me. It’s so hard to find likable female characters, but this one is messed up in so many ways, and still so strong.
Rose has climbed her way to the top of my favorites list with this series and I CANNOT wait to see where we end up.
Recommendation: BUCKLE UP & PREPARE FOR YOUR WORLD TO SHATTER.
I think i'll really like the author's other books in the future, i really like her ideas and the dark theme..but these first two books weren't on my top tier :/
I felt like the author was figuring out what to do with the characters and the story as she was writing the book (which would be ok if we actually understood what to focus on, and the 24/7 mood changes of the characters while they were in any kind of conversation weren't for me :/)
I also wanted to say liking it rough isn't the same as liking the fact that you didn't consent to something. Idk if it was just me but i think Sid didn't willingly do a looot of things in the end of the second book (which rubbed me the wrong way), i just thought some of those things could have been handled better (bc i think book 1 did that alright)
Um I hated this? I honestly do not understand the good reviews this series has. First and foremost I should have listened to the trigger warnings and not read this. This was not for me. But beyond the fact that this was just not my type of book, the characters are bland, the plot makes no sense, and there’s too much shock value.
We begin with Sid, a small town girl on her way to commit suicide near Halloween. I should have stopped reading here.
Then she’s the long lost foster sister of a gang leader murderer that forces her to see the bodies of his victims.
Then by the second book she’s a victim of child sex trafficking, the bastard child of a Russian elite who sold her, and a human sacrifice for a pseudo church/cult with her father as one of the leaders. It’s a mess. Honestly a boring, disturbing, shocking mess.
I have no good things to say about this book.

Pray for Scars (Unsainted book two ) is not a stand-alone book. You must read book one first.
Pray for scars is a dark, dark, wild ride. I was happy to climb aboard and loved it. There are many triggers for some in this book. So please be warned.
I didn’t see anything coming that happened, and I was blown away. I tried forgetting who the bad guy was. Who was the bad guy? Lucifer or Jeremiah or both? You also just can help but to fall in love with Lucifer in this book, I was sucked into this ride, and I am not ready to jump off yet.
My only complaint about this story is the fact that I can’t seem to feel any sort of real connection between both MMC’s or the side characters.
On another note, I wish Sid would end up with both Jeremiah AND Lucifer. My heart aches for Jeremiah and this is the first time that I want the FMC to have ended up with not only the MMC, but also another character (aka a reverse harem).
Book 2 in the Unsainted series. This book comes with a warning for a reason. Make sure you take note of it as this book isn't for the faint hearted. It is has graphic scenes and dark themes. If the warning hasn't chased you off then you are in the right place as this book is for you.
Trigger Warning: language, violence, sexual KV Rose knows how to write characters!! This book gets really dark and everything seems hopeless for Sid. She is such a fierce and badass character. My favourite is Jeremiah, I have a soft spot for him. I will say I did enjoy the first one more but this one was full of twist and it didn’t disappoint.
The third book is about mayhem, and I cannot wait to read it!
ahhhh i am so so so disappointed!!!! I LOVED ecstasy with my whole heart I didn’t like these monstrous ties that much i decided to see if the series gets better
I’m sad to say that i did NOT like this book which makes me sad. Absolutely nothing happened in this book besides the end. It was too long for what K.V. was telling.
Basically the same scene happens over and over again where she bounces from jeremiah to lucifer. i CANNOT stand lucifer. he is such a poser. if he is such a bad boy BE a bad boy. i’m shook... this is such a rip off of the silver swan but the silver swan is a million times better.
0 development. 0 explanation. 0 to 100 SUPER quick. I am so disappointeddddd. BUT i will be reading sinister when it comes out this month because I am in love with eli and ecstasy is one of my favorite books ever!
Character driven plots from KV is what i LIVE for! these secret society one not so much!
I literally have no words for this other than the fact this this story line is AMAZING holy crap.
First - Sid, baby, I love you. You’re such a bad a$$ and you aren’t afraid to go after what you want. Even when you know what you want is wrong. You just don’t care and I love it.
Second - Lucifer, you kinda weird but I LIKE IT????
This is the continuation of the first book, These Monstrous Ties! You need to read that one before you read this one.
This was INCREDIBLE. I ate it up. Devoured. The plot twists, the reveals, wow. I cannot wait for the next book and diving into that character!
5/2/22 - re-read was even better than the first time around. KV Rose continues to amaze me
Pray for Scars by K.V. Rose is the second book in the Unsainted Series and is told in dual POV.
Reading These Monstrous Ties is a complete must to fully understand Lucifer's and Lilith's Story to the fullest as their story continues in Pray for Scars.
The Unsaints are back and they are better then before. They are even more vile, more Dangerous and even more Darker.
Pray for Scars pick up directly from where book one ended, all is not what is what it seems and secrets are slowly becoming unravelled. If one is not careful, they might just get burnt.
OMG, what a book this was, I completely loved it. I could not put it down once I had started. I am going to try and keep this review vague as I feel with this sort of story, anything that I could say may spoil it for others.
Pray for Scars is an epic rollercoaster ride of emotions for both Lucifer and Lilith, both bitterly broken from their own problems and sucked into a fucked up mess that their parents brought them into.
Sid continues to not disappoint in this book, she's still so messed up but above it all she is so strong even after everything that is being thrown at her.
" Don't test her, because she'll beat you, Luce. She's not like your usual girls".
When Sid Rain gets on the wrong side of the Unsaints, she finds out just how deep their ties run, and just how dark their sins are.
She finds out, too, that Lucifer is not at all who she thought he was.
He’s worse.
While she searches through the history of Alexandria and the twisted connection to her brother, she discovers not all secrets are meant to be shared, and sometimes running away is far less brutal than fighting back.
This story is dark, it leaves you not knowing who to trust or if there is a way out. Even if there was a way out there is no hiding from one another.
"I like it when you run". He leans down close, runs his mouth over my jaw."Just so I can show you every time,"his teeth scrape against my collarbone,"every fucking time, Lilith,"he picks his head up, eyes inches from mine, I'm going to catch you."
Fuck Me, isn't that some hot shit right there. That is only sneak peak into what is it come. Go into this book blind, be prepared for the unexpected and leave your morals at the door.
So i was waiting to write this review on amazing so i could just link them up together .. SHEESH. I dont even know where to start . K.V. Rose is becoming. One of my top favorite author's!
Now i started with TMT a bit confused an twisted until i hit the middle when it all came together i loved it an it left me reeling for more . brings me to Pray For Scars . Now if i thought for a second TMT took me on a wild ride laaawd i was mistaken because lemme tell ya PFS was an EPIC FUCKING rollercoaster of emtions from BOTH MC's both bitterly broken from their own problems sucked in to a fucked up mess that their parents brought unto them . to read how two crazy minded people were able to come out finally on top to be with each other even though they fought against it was pretty amazing .
Rose can write pretty fucked up twisted characters to say that i love her characters is an understatement . i cant even explain how much i love the stories she has published so far.
This might not be the best review but its mine and im glad i got to read this ARC before all of you .
If you like dark insane characters than my loves this book is for you!
“This war between us has become so volatile. We’re not shooting to kill anymore. We’re aiming to hurt, and that’s worse. At least death puts us out of our misery. But we like to suffer.”
This is one of my favorite series and authors and I’m loving my re-read of it. So many complexities and layers within the story and characters. Sid is running and hiding from her past demons. Lucifer and Jeremiah both want to claim and keep her. They each have their own twisted way of showing their love and loyalty for her Which devil will claim her heart?
I was on edge, stomach in knots and hurt for these broken characters. Add in the violence, tension, action, mystery and I could not put it down.
It is Dark, twisted, and emotional that will leave you wondering which character you love or love to hate.
“But I guess when you’ve got Satan himself on your side, you don’t need the darkness. You are the darkness.”
Lucifer and Lilith’s story continues and it just gets better.
Sid runs more than once, but Lucifer always catches her. Jeremiah is still an enigma. It’s hot. It’s dark. Secrets are revealed. There’s bloodshed. Fire. It’s such a page turner. I’m excited for Maverick’s book!
I confess that the first book didn’t blow me away but I did like the premise of it since it reminds me a bit of the Devils Night series which is why I decided to still give it a chance. I only read the first book about 3/4 months ago but I didn’t remember everything that happened so my memory did take a bit to catch up. The book is decently written and is fast-paced and short, but just doesn’t have the best set-up. A solid 80% of the book is literally Sid running away and returning to either Jeremiah or Lucifer on repeat. No joke. Also there was wayyy too much other women/men problems for the sake of jealousy for my liking.
There’s hardly any note-worthy conversations that progress the characters relationships or further develop themselves or the plot. I can’t help but think there was nothing horribly substantive happening (in terms of characterization and plot progression) to warrant this. Instead it just felt like one big book for Sid and Lucifer to be ‘edgy’ with each other. I also don’t think the ending/twists were horribly surprising as it’s definitely been something that’s been done before. I think by taking out anything unnecessary and expertly plotting it, it could have easily been combined, instead of having Sids and Lucifers story split into two books. Overall, a fun read but one that I just wanted more from. I do plan on continuing the series since i would love to see Mayhems and Jeremiahs books, plus I do find them easy to read and enjoyable overall but I am holding out hope that the other boys books may be better or I may just give up on the series.
I’m gonna start by saying this book is not for everybody. If you don’t like dark and extremely twisted then this won’t be the book for you. There were times I almost put the book down because of how dark some parts got and I love dark romance. That being said, I did enjoy the book as a whole. Some of the parts I could have done without but as a whole I did enjoy it. My biggest issue was I didn’t really feel the chemistry between Lucifer and Lilith. There were parts that I felt the characters emotions but it wasn’t very often which kind of disappointed me. I didn’t really start feeling the love Lucifer has for Lilith til the end. I don’t really have much to say on this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat and there was enough plot twists to keep me into the book wanting to know what was about to happen next but the book didn’t blow me away. So I give it 4 stars all together and I do recommend it for those who love dark and extremely twisted books.
I know I’m generous with the stars. The plots to Ms. Rose’s books keep me hooked. This duet just lacked the right finesse to deliver it. It was confusing then all of a sudden a speeding train to the end and I feel like I need to read the duet again to see how the plot pieces fit together better with a second read. Or if there are even enough pieces to see the puzzle put together...that’s what I’m really afraid of. That the final picture isn’t complete enough to warrant further reading. This was just murky enough I don’t feel like I got enough over arching plot to fill the world building in this duet.
The writing is always great, it’s just the writer’s craft that’s evolving. I really wish this series was 3 years down the road when everything comes together for this writer.
