George McVey always wanted to be a Superhero, sadly no radioactive storms or animals have been a part of his life. One day while spinning a tall tale for his family, some suggested once again that with all his experiences in ministry and his imagination, he should be writing books. This time it was like lightning struck him and he decided why not?
Since then George has been hard at work using his creative imagination and writing several books. He's still adding to his bibliography to this day. You can find them all on his Amazon.com page.
George lives in the wonderful state of Almost Heaven, West Virginia. A few years ago he moved from a single family home to a deluxe apartment in the sky, well the fourth floor anyway. He lives with his wife of thirty years, and a service dog named Daisy Mae. He is visited often by his three children and two grandsons.

Great st
I met Nugget Nate as a minor character in another book and knew I had know his story. Just as I expected, he truly a larger than life mountain man with a heart for romance. What I honestly did not expect was such a tender romance written by a man! Now I can't wait to read more by this author. Well done Mr. McVey.

Love never fails
I truly am thankful that you shared this Story of Nugget Nate and Penny Ryder. What a tragic story to be turned into a beautiful love story. So precious and I am looking forward to more adventures of the Godly Couple.

Heartbreaking but beautiful!
I loved this book! It is fantastic to go back and see where it all began, to see 'Nugget Nate' find his softer side when he meets his 'Lucky Penny' who fills a hole in his life he didn't even know was there! Joining Penelope on her journey to recovery as she leaves behind the terror and trauma of her kidnapping, along with the name Penelope, to become Penny, who is loved unconditionally is a bumpy but rewarding ride. She blooms under the love and care of Nate, to become confident in herself and her worth, secure in their love and their future. I was sent a free copy of this book, a true gift! I have enjoyed all the previous books in the series, but for me this is the best, it's also the most emotional, the sweetest, the deepest and the most bittersweet. There were lots of tears as I read the final pages and once again Nate shows his heart as he melts yours. This is available on Kindle Unlimited...so a gift for everyone! Enjoy!

OMG Loved it!!!

Penelope/Penny- a bankers daughter in NY who was abducted.
I emensly enjoyed reading this extremely engaging story that is fantastically written with charismatic characters and witty dialogue. I absolutely loved their story, and the way it was written. This story pulled almost every emotion in me, I laughed, also was angry for Penny's sake (felt Nates anger ) and cried at the end happy but sad altogether. Their story has a wonderful HEA and the best kind full of adventure together!!

It's a shame that five stars is the maximum! Nate and Penny's love story is what every couple's story should be. Nate is called to New York and he is not sure why, but He knows and it is soon revealed to Nate through a portrait of a beautiful red haired woman. When Nate rescues Penelope, his love only grows for her and after her ordeal, Penny knows in her heart that this mountain man is meant for her.

A story of the heart and what the power of true love and devotion to each other an the Lord can bring. The first page just tugged at me. What is amazing is how George references real people and events and makes it into a journey as we travel back and see how Nate and Penny met and got together. A love that is rare but so worth every bit of the hardships and happiness that eventually comes out.

The ultimate calling
With tissue in hand, I mourn the passing of Penny and Nugget Nate. The many tales of Nate and Penny's adventures are such a treat, and this one is no exception. One can only hope that the Ryder family continues to bug George for some time with more callins and adventures that need to be told.

Wow! Just Wow!
I have been waiting for this book to be released and was not disappointed. After seeing what fellow readers were saying about this book, I bought instead of reading it in KU. I rarely do that. I do not regret this purchase. I started crying during the prologue and ended the book crying, but then in between was full of adventure and romance.

What an outstandingly beautiful story...George McVey has penned a very heartwarming story tastefully dealing with some tough issues. This is Nugget Nate and Penny's love story and the character development is excellent. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it. It is a real page turner and I know you will enjoy it too!!!

A hero in life and death
George McVey does not disappoint his readers with Nugget Nate and Penny's love story. We as readers have been teased about this larger than life character and his Penny Gel in several books along with Sophie Dawson, but this one is almost real! Loved it Mr. McVey, loved it!

October 12, 2019This is one you do not want to miss. Makes me want to go back and reread all the books with Nugget Nate and Penny in them. Thank you, George McVey for giving us this story. I'm so glad Nate didn't want to remain a secondary character. Although they are fiction you do want to believe there are really people with the high standards and values of Nate and Penny.

If youve ever read any of Mr. McVeys books you know about Nugget Nate and his special gift. This is the story of Nate and how it all began. It has some sensitive areas that might be difficult for some to read. It is a beautiful love story but also heart wrenching at times. It is one for your must read shelf!

Well Penny and Nate Ryder are my favourite characters from the other books where they appear as Angels and when they were spoken about. I really wanted to read about them and I must say loved every second of it just couldn't put it down. It did make me cry right from the opening and again on the ending. Would definitely recommend

A true love story
This book draws you right into the story. The description of the first kiss and what took place was so intense and romantic, and then again at their reunion. And, all done in a clean wholesome way.

Worth the wait
By far the best story about Nate and Penny. Have read all of the books around the Ryder family and saw hints about about their meeting. This was well worth the wait. Read in one sitting. A must read. Thank you Mr. McVey. Keep them coming. Prayers for good health.
