My idea of a great vacation is a porch swing, view of the water and a pile of books to read. Once upon a time… I wonder if those words spoken to, or read for the first time, were the catalyst for the spark that lit the fire within us. To write and tell a story the way each of us does is a gift and a responsibility. We sometimes toil hours with an idea, or even just one sentence, not knowing if anyone beyond us will ever read our words. We do it for love. The love of bringing to light the world that resides inside our heads. It does not matter if we have a happy ending or a soulful gasp. What matters is that we put these thoughts on paper. So keep writing my friends. Keep taking us to the secret corners of your mind. Be brave. Tempt fate and above all enjoy.
I love every book in the haunted series. I always am sad when I finish her books. I never feel like they drag and I never feel like I was cheated. I always am disappointed because I want to read the next book in the series but have to wait for it to be written and published.
This one made me laugh in so many places. Sure, there were serious moments but the old irreverent Mia is back. I'm glad Mia is now in a good place with so many, and surprisingly Michael is one of them. I am doubly glad Beverly got what she deserved and Mia got a little payback on her.
I love this series so much. Every book is new and original whilst still keeping our favourite characters developing and evolving. They are such page turners- please try this series if you haven't, it's great.
If you have been reading this series from book one, then you are probably more hooked on the personal connections between the characters than the paranormal part. Mia is always changing, but her love and acceptance of so many different people, and species is admirable. Just enjoyable reading.
As always Alexis Aaron spins such an intricate we'd it oulc easily serve as 2 or 3 books by a less skilled author. At 3% in, so much had already happened that I had to put the book down and digest the information so far. This is not a book to read through quickly. You will miss too much. Each page holds so much it is a joy to go slowly and savour Evey detail.
Each and every time I finish reading an Alexie Aaron book, I’m filled with mixed emotions. On the one hand, I’m so thrilled for having had the adventure Alexie’s books afford, while on the other, I’m saddened by the fact that I’m not able to stay with my friends. Crossroads is another such book.
I think this was my favorite PEEPs book. Many questions were answered while others arose...perhaps they’re waiting for a future tale. The first few chapters were so touching that I felt as though I were right beside Mia, feeling her pain while basking in the love that shines through her. This is how Alexie brings her readers home.
Thank you, Alexie...Crossroads does not disappoint!!! Now, get back to The Woodlands... I can’t wait to return!
Alexis’s books grow more and more interesting, just when you think she has written her best, she writes another one that surpasses all. I would be helplessly lost in her mind house, but oh my! I would love to visit. Alexies characters grow and change with each book. Every time I think I may have forgotten who someone is, something in the current book reminds me. I don’t know how, I can’t think of another author who writes about the paranormal as well as she. All the threads come together seamlessly in a beautiful story. Please Alexis don’t stop weaving for us. No one author could compare.
Thoroughly enjoyable.. love the stories.. love the tie ins to current affairs.. adore the developing and maturing relationships.. even better than the last one! More please!
This story closes a plot line or two but opens up more. New baby girls for Mia that will give many opportinies in future books. Definitely worth the read and eagerly awaiting the next book.
This is the longest book I've ever written! I hope you'll enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thank you all for being so supportive and encouraging! Love Alexie Aaron
