The is a book about emotional intelligence for leaders and employees as it focuses in particular on the triggers that cause leaders to act in micromanaging, controlling ways, which may in turn cause employees to respond in a flight-or-fight mode: when leaders are being unclear about expectations, providing very little feedback, are unfair, or don’t create a sense or a team, or allow for autonomy when possible, and don’t recognize a job well done.
