This is a cute story, funny and sweet. Clay is desperate to have a kid and is going about it all wrong, but the wrong turns very right when he talks to his pride alpha. Of course they have a few hiccups, but it all works out with a HEA!
I enjoyed this story more than the last one I Read from her - this one felt more upbeat, sweet, and cute. Very light-hearted read. Sure Clay and Landon - Clay especially - stumble along the way to the HEA, but I loved reading about them.
Clay is an Omega who desperately wants a baby. He has already got everything you need for a baby except the partner. He decides to contact all the alphas he's been on a date with asking if any of them would be his Omega Daddy! He gets rejected by all of them! His sister, her wife and daughter tease him and ask why he hasn't he asked the pride leader Landon? When he is summonsed to Landon's office he thinks he's in trouble only for Landon to ask him why he hasn't asked him to give him a baby. Landon offers to be his baby daddy, but he wants to be part of the babies life! No, no, no all Clay wants is someone to put a baby in him and raise the baby alone. When Clay finally agrees for Landon to get him pregnant he panics as he's a virgin also he's never been in heat. After one try Clays not pregnant so Landon suggest they have sex every day for a month, still not pregnant. Also now Clay's feeling for Landon have grown & grown but he hides and ignores Landon. Will he be able to give the pride leader a child? With Clay running way from him again, Landon takes matters into his own hands faking illness and gets taken to hospital saying he will only be treated by Clay. Clay rushes to the ER and panics when he sees Landon lying on the bed. Landon tells him that he wants him even if they can't have children and has wanted him all along! Instead of anger Clay gets this overwhelming feeling. He's finally in heat, they need a room now!!!!!! They are finally pregnant wohoooo. I like "great uncle Harry"! Another enjoyable book from Judith Shale
** I received an arc in return for a honest review **
Clay is a nurse and an Omega Hyena shifter, closing in on 30, still a virgin and desperate to get pregnant. When I say desperate, I am not exaggerating as he contacts just about every Alpha he knows and gets the same result- No!!! You see, Clay's problem is he wants a baby, but without any strings attached. What Alpha would agree to impregnating an Omega and then letting him go on with his life. Well there is one Alpha who is intrigued with the idea of being the one, it is Landon, who is a Puma shifter and the Alpha of the Pride, but he doesn't want to just do what Clay wants, he wants it to be a proper relationship. Clay is not sure that is what he wants. They both agree to at least try to get pregnant and one month later , no success. They then agree to have sex every day for a month and see what happens. Clay needs his head examined, Landon wants to keep with Clay, but Clay is still so timid and abruptly leaves after the 30 days is up. Landon isn't a quitter, like Clay is and knows what he wants and doesn't give up. Finally, after Clay realizes he really does love Landon, all hell breaks loose, Clay goes into heat, while Landon has visited him at work. A mad rush is on now to quell the heat and they do so in an empty hospital room. This is the type of book that brings you along for the ride and you are anxious to see what will transpire. There is a Happy Ever After here and it ends very nicely. I really enjoyed the book and you will too!
A delightful book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters likeable. Clay Is an Omega and Hyena Shifter, Landon is an Alpha and a Puma Shifter and they are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, a nurse, a leader, search for an Alpha father, past memories, a red rose, family, cat shifters and so much more in this book.
Here is a quote from the book, “He sighed. “All I’m trying to do is get you to feel comfortable. So yeah, I’m doing something wrong, because I’m very clearly failing.” “Well…” I wasn’t going to lie and say I was perfectly at ease. “That’s not something you can force. Sometimes it’s just not easy. I mean, look at you” I meant his position in our pride. Well, mostly that. Partly his looks. He seemed to take it more literally, because he looked down at himself and then up at me again. “What about me?”. There is more but you will need to read the book which I can recommend. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
Many MM stories have one of the characters in the closet, but in this story, the closet does not refer to the homosexuality of one of the characters, but more about his capacity to experience love and trust in another man. Clay is convinced that no Alpha will ever be attracted to him and even though Landon clearly shows him his love affection, Clay just cannot trust and believe it. And this denial goes on and on and has devastating effects on the relationship between the two. I definitively preferred Landon. He had his issues with expressing his feelings, too, but once he finally had the opportunity to reconnect with Clay and spend some time with him, then Landon was the most patient and understanding Alpha I ever read about. So I liked the book, but given that it was written only from Clay's POV, I got tired of his continuous negative thoughts, doubts and his shortsightedness; he focused only on the result (pregnancy), without enjoying the journey and the partner needed to achieve that goal.
Biology and misunderstandings create the grit of the conflict and the pathway to love in this story. Clay and Landon had a tough journey to their happy ever after! Misinterpretations and lack of confidence on Clay's part and lack of clear communication on Landon's part created a divide that caused them both pain.
i absolutely loved Landon's willingness to ensure that there was no misunderstandings and that he conveyed his interest clearly. Showing up, getting dressed up, a rose and a heart condition were just wonderful!
Clay was sweet and thoughtful and really cared about Landon and didn't want him to be trapped in a relationship. i wanted to shake Clay a couple of times, but his heart was in the right place.. he just didn't always see things clearly.
A wonderful Alpha and a sweet Omega create a beautiful love story.

Sometimes, you have to take what you want. Clay, hyena shifter, wants a baby. He asks every Alpha he previously dated to contribute. Kimmie, his sister is empathetic. Clay, was desperate to the point of obsessive. He doesn't understand why the Alphas reject his to him, reasonable request. Landon, Puma is the Pride leader. He and Clay went to the same school, although Landon was ahead of him. Kimmi, is Clay's sister. Cerise, her wife, works for Landon. Landon heard what Clay was doing and summoned him to the office. Landon, explained the flaw int Clay's expectation considerang and Alpha's nature. Landon, made a counter offer that solved everyone's problems. both of these guya are nice guys. Does Clay accept the offer? What does Landon get out of his offer? Nice story. The ebb and flow of their quest is sad, happy, funny and serious. Does Clay ever relax? Does he get what he wants? Can they overcome challenges thrown in their path? Well done!
I received Omega Daddy as an ebook in order to write an honest review. I have to admit that I loved everything about this book! Clay is an adorable omega whom I loved from the first moment he appeared in the story and Landon was the perfect gentleman, sweet and full of love alpha that you can't not fall in love with <3 I especially liked the way their relationship developed through the story and the fact that they've been in love all those years. Landon was so patient and romantic to Clay and I couldn't get enough of their sweet romance! I need to say that the moment Clay realizes that he loves Landon and finally relaxes around him was my top favorite scene <3 Totally loved this mpreg and I'd love to read others similar to this. I'm gonna miss these two sweethearts!
I really enjoyed this story by new to me author Judith Shale. Clay desperately wants a child of his own...so bad that he is willing to beg an alpha to help him achieve this goal. When he gets shot down numerous times he thinks that its a lost cause. Here enters Landon...Clay has always had a crush on him but the thought of Landon being the baby daddy never even entered Clay's mind.
There is attraction between the two but misunderstandings threaten to jeopardize the relationship before it even began. They have a lot to work out but life has a funny way of bringing things to light.
I highly recommend this book to everyone. It was a great story....well done! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
I DNF so many books, it’s not funny. Most books I DNF I won’t rate or review because most of them have nothing wrong with them. I just lose interest and start reading another book. Also my attention span is kinda crazy sometimes..
The reason I’m rating this DNF is because it had things that annoyed me.
Clay was sooo stuck on there not being a romance or love. He wants love, something more, but he is constantly sabotaging any possibility of Landon giving him more than just his sperm to create a baby... it felt like Clay didn’t want anything but the alpha to be a sperm donor. Give me your sperm and be gone, no love, no romance.. which was tiring and frustrating at 56%.
I really love this book. Great storyline that captivated me right from the start and kept me hooked all the way through. Love the characters! Clay who is an omega that is very insecure, does not believe that an alpha could ever really fall for him and have real feelings for him, especially not Landon, the Pride leader. Landon has incredible patience with Clay and has very strong feelings for him but has a hard time expressing them. Can they find their way together? A desperate Omega whose biological clock is ticking loudly wants to find an Alpha immediately - to Father a child. He's been collecting baby items in preparation for a child he is determined to have. The way he goes about trying to find a Baby Daddy for his future Cub is quite amusing.
His close relatives give him advice to help him because he is so upset and miserable that no Alpha will make a baby with him. This was a cute amusing story and quite unexpectedly entertaining. I tried to read the other stories in the this series but none grabbed my attention the way this one did.
I actually really liked the omega. He was dedicated, straight forward, and had just the perfect amount of awkwardness that made him lovable. The alpha is also sweet, open, and cringy in a rather cute way which helped round out the two as a good couple. The story was sweet, romantic and adorable in the best way.
I liked the concept/premise of the story. It sounds liked a fun read from the blurb. I wished there had been more relationship development since it did come off as Clay and London being together for their one common goal even if it was presented as otherwise at the end.
Well written story. Be aware that it is written in first person POV and only from Clay. I liked the story, but sometimes Clay bugged me because he was such a 'Negative Nancy' about his own worth and attractiveness through most of the book.
Very fast paced but this story was kind of cute. The relationship seemed a little forced to me. I would read it again and i cannot wait to see what judith comes up with next
