Uh is it just me??? (Review of books 1-3)
Normally I read the complete series before I review but I had to leave a honest opinion before some other COVID19 shut in got started on this.
This was a decent book with bad editing. And im not just talking about grammatical ones either (those were tolerable) but to me... it seemed like two different people were writing this book.

There were a lot and I mean a lot of inconsistencies. Some Ex: end of book 2 Kamaya was pregnant then she wasn't at all in book 3. At the end of book 2 Niko admitted to hitting Ace once before but soon into book 3, when Emani talked to Ace about Niko's hand problem, Ace says Niko never hit her. As a reader it was a huge eye roll every time I read one.
The realistic characters were this series saving grace. Yes, they were annoying at times (Ace why so wishy-washy🤷🏾♀️) but so are real life people. For the most part the storylines were dope. I even like the gradual ease into Val's story because I wasn't overwhelmed with too much at once because yes, these women had mucho drama. I don't think Kni's back story was needed if he wasn't going to be anything serious in Sin's story, it was a waste of time. The flow was kinda choppy especially between books even though they pick up where they left off. Some characters, like Val's mom, seemed to change up during during the series. And the last minute explanation didn't help.

Ok so I was down for the ride with the first two books but book three just had a lot of unnecessary drama for me. Like the theme through out the book has been “being a real nigga and telling it like it is” but everybody a damn liar lmao. All this omitting and all these random babies, and what happen to Maya’s baby or am I tripping? AND everyone sounds crazy telling Ace to basically get over it, you don’t take someone’s choice away from them to be in your life and turn around and call them selfish cause they don’t wanna go with the program. Bless lord several times might I add and they acting like she doing too much.
The grammatical errors are also crazy and wasn’t Ashley’s name originally spelled Ashlee?

Messy, story
The story is good and messy. The problem I have with all the books in this series is that they are very repetitive. The author repeats the same stuff over and over again like it wasn’t said a chapter or two ago.

This book is crazy in the best way but frustrating at the same time. Bless is way too honest for me 😂 he really just says anything. Why would he propose to Ace knowing he has a baby with Ashley on the way?! Polite doesn’t know what he wants. Sin is dumb for wanting to be a side chick to a man who’s engaged and has a baby on the way. Prayer, the youngest, is the only one not getting on my nerves in this book. Whew this series is a hot mess that you can’t put down 😂

A whole lot of nothing. I didn’t even finish this book. I said if Ace break up with Bless I’m done not because she shouldn’t have broke up with him but because I knew this was leading to more cliffhangers and another book with too much of the same scenarios. I’m just burnt out personally. Just my personal opinion which I’m entitled too. I just think 3 books in sin and vio, bless and ave, Val and prayer should not be were they were in book one

3.5 because what is even going on right now
Bless supposed to be so real but lied twice about sleeping with Ash. Like sir be so fr. I get that Ace is mad about the lie but shes also mad about his attention being taking off her her and Nevaeh which is selfish of her. Ash is in her feelings and might be hard to deal with but Ace could relax a little and hear the man put .
SIN! Ms "i run a strict program" is willingly letting Polite play in her face. After she gave Ace a hard time about backsliding with Niko, here she go doing the same thing. I couldn't believe it. Polite swearing he will leave Maya but always has an excuse not to do it. Hes just as confused as Sin is. Maybe they do need to be together. I wouldn't blame Maya for ruining Sin because thats foul. No matter what Polite telling her, Sin shouldn't have spun the block until he stood on his word.
Val and Prayer- They dont have all that riff raff going on like everybody else and I love that for them. I hope Raegan was lying about Prayer and her because I want them together. Val mama is terrible for switching up on her like that but at the same time, she should've known it was coming if she knew her mom history with men. I dont agree with Val whole "im willing to struggle so I dont look like a gold digger, im different". She has 3 whole kids to think about, sharing a full size mattress in her mom apartment but of course what a man thinks outweighs that.
and for the book to end on the housekeeper who wr haven't heard about in ages felt like it was just thrown in there just to keep the infamous cliff hanger ending going.

More Drama
Love this series and all the drama. However I am not a fan on the character development for Sin. In book 1 she was portrayed as a strong independent black woman. She was confident in herself and knew her self worth. Yes she went through heart break and chose to run from love rather than deal with the pain. But in this book, she chooses to throw all of her morals out the window. She is okay with coming second to someone and she allows Polite to play in her face. How can she be mad an Ace for allowing Niko to treat her the way he did but then turn around and allow Polite to do the same thing. And the same goes for Ace. She quick to judge Sin about her decisions but she could never have that mindset when it came to Niko. The only person standing on their morals is Val. All of the brothers are messed up in the way they go about handling their past relationships. And Ace really started to annoy me. Although some of the characters characteristics annoys me, I will still give the book series a five Star because the stories are simply amazing.

There are so many things going on in this story, which I do not where to start. I am going to say that Bless is correct that Ace is always comparing him toward her baby daddy. I understand that he lied to her about Ashley and the baby, because he was afraid that she will overreact on the subject and she did. This book have me looking forward to the next book, because they are a lot of people, who was unhappy at the end of this book. I feel that Polite should not married anyone that he will be unhappy with. Val should ask questions before jumping to a conclusion, and I have to learn how to forgive, because this proved that he loved her, her daughter, and Nana. I am looking for a happy ending.

And Bless… whew. I don’t understand why she kept lying to Ace. I’m torn on whether she has the right to be mad, because yes. For sure, he messed up and lied multiple times, and she kept asking him straight-up questions.
Now why is Annett acting out the way she is?? What is she even doing right now??
At this point, I just hope Prayer and Val make it through all this chaos. Somebody deserves a happy ending. Lol.

Part 3
Part 3 brought the couples closer together as some secrets were revealed and then pushed them apart again as more secrets were revealed😂 I really cannot gauge if Polite is really trying to play with both Kamaya and Sin. I really want Sin to win! Too bad she doesn’t have another option right not. What’s up with Khi? Bless is good for Ace but he’s a liar. Hopefully they can get past that. I really loved Val in this book. Prayer thinks he’s ready to be a family man but Reagan is an issue. Who the heck is Annett? Sheeesh!

I love the story but ugh now we have to wait for part 4.... hopefully Shay makes up her mind in what she wants she so wishy washy she better hope she don’t push Bless away, I don’t like Ashley I hope the baby is not Bless’s cause she gonna be a problem.. I like Sin and Polite we gotta get Kamaya out the picture somehow I hope she’s able to carry the baby full term.. I don’t know what to think of Prayer and Val I like them but besides the coparenting they really don’t have much going on...Definitely can’t wait for part 4 to drop

Damn this book got a lot going on frfr. I don’t know why Sin won’t tell polite what Mya said? I love Val For Prayer. I hope 🤞🏾 things get right with them. She can’t be mad when they’re not together. Ace I like her but she is a damn hypocrite and selfish as hell. You can’t accept his son but he accept your daughter as his own. She was dead ass wrong on that part. I am ready to get straight to the finale already!!! If I'd known there was another book coming I would have waited because Bless is killing me. This series is so good, if this was book one I'd tell you to just wait it out. Sinclair is the real mvp in this sequence and I can't wait to see how she handles Kamiyah. Bless has the relationship with Aces daughter that speaks volumes and will make you overlook his little white lie he told Ace. Ash is on some other BS!! Hurry up with the Finale already.

Dude treats her like royalty and loves her daughter like his own. She needs to get her head straight, especially now that he's dealing with this fake accusation. This is a book full of a bunch of toxic couples…there’s so much going on…let me see this thru though, cause what is going on??? Polite shoulda ended things with Kamaya in Book 1. Prayer seems the least toxic, but he’s kinda simple. Val is a good woman, she seems to be the only 1 with sense. Ace and Bless gonna keep going thru things cause this man is too blunt, but he loves her and she just needs to make it work. And Sin…hurt people hurt people and then get hurt by people.

The inconsistencies of the storyline is what’s sending me. It’s so much drama Kamaya threatening Sin is insane, Sin being a sidepiece makes no sense this can’t be the same woman from book 1, I understand why Acr is unset Blessed lied about sleeping with Ash, a brother they knew nothing about makes no sense, Val and prayer story makes no sense, I guess Kanaya not pregnant cause in book 2 she was bout 3 she’s not lawd it’s like someone else be writing for Jah cause this not the first book where the writing is off and completely different from the story I’m being nice giving 3 stars

I should’ve known it was a dream! You’ve fools me twice now😂but seriously my heart couldn’t take Neveah getting harmed by her father, that was gonna be too much! I love the twists and turns and the addition to all the new characters. It’s like everyone has so much going on at the same time I can’t keep up! (In a good way) You will not be bored reading this! Spice was 4/5. This was definitely a page turner and I couldn’t put it down! Can’t wait to read the last book🥹I’m gonna really miss some of these characters.

I WAS SO HEATED BY THE END OF THIS BOOK. FIRST OFF ACE IS JUST BEING SELFISH ABOUT THE BLESS/BABY SITUATION AND IS GIVING ASHLEY EXACTLY WHAT SHE WANTS. NOW MISS SIN BETTER GET IT TOGETHER AND CLAP BACK ON KAMAYA AND KEEP HER MAN POLITE. LITTLE MISS VAL NEEDS TO GIVE PRAYER A REAL CHANCE TO BE HER MAN. I CAN'T WAIT FOR BOOK 4 CAUSE I KNOW IT'S GOING DOWN ONCE AGAIN.
