When there’s four of them, and one of me, we can’t have any secrets...
I need to focus on improving my magic. And having four delicious men can make things… complicated. Especially when Kyler is distracted by Sonny, a mysterious friend from his past. Through Sonny we’re all learning Kyler’s secrets, some of which I wish I didn’t know.
But as a group, we have bigger fish to fry. Archmage Edius is making moves, and if we don’t study hard, he’s going to best us.
Maybe he already has. At the Fall Festival, a mass poisoning screams of his evil handiwork.
No matter how strong I’m becoming, I need my men to strive for more so we can defeat him, for good. The chemistry between us is electric, now I just need my magic to follow suit. Oliver, Braeden and Dash are all hitting the books, but Kyler’s gifts are different. And in the end, he’ll have to make a choice.
I don’t know what I’ll do if he doesn’t choose us. For now, I have to believe he will.

Unfortunately, I had already signed up for this book on NetGalley before reading A Class of Conjuring. I held out hopes that it might have been a bit better. But, as you can no doubt gather from my one-star rating, it wasn't. Again the writing left a lot to be desired, the characters were lacking and the plot just seemed jumbled and thrown together. I had had high hopes for these books, but no, it's just not for me. The five main characters went on and on about their special connection, but really the only sign of it was the fact that they kept bringing it up. I won't be reading any more in this series, thankfully. I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.
I am on the fence about whether it's a 2.75 or 3-star rating.
So here's the thing, I like the story, I find it very interesting and the world-building is really good, and I like the characters for the most part. It's the writing that got me, I don't know if it's because I got an arc copy of this book but there were some things that I had a problem with.
Things were said in one part of the book then it was contradicted in another, in some areas the characters acted out of character, there was a jumbled up part of the story that kinda made no sense. These things I had problems with but it didn't cause me to abandon the book, I stuck with it because the story is really interesting. I'm hoping that it was just the arc copy and that in the finished copies things were fixed.
This book also killed me how much pressure Cass and the guys are put under, like where are all the professors and older adults with all the experiences to deal with a problem like Edius, then again that's how stories go. Something I liked was that the group dynamic isn't perfect that they have to work at the relationships they have and that they each support and try to understand each other. I love the magic and want more detailed representation in the stories.
Overall I find the world interesting and I like the characters so I am going to read the next book in the series because I wanna see what the endgame is. There are two more books in the series, what problems are they going to encounter next? I have a few questions, what will Edius do next, what makes Cass so special, what was that last thought Cass had at the end and can the group really trust those around them? Up next is Master of Magic.
Hello Gemmies! I have an entertaining new book review to share with you today. Please note: I received a digital ARC of this book (via NetGalley) from its publisher in exchange for an honest and fair review.
A History of Hexing by Evie Wilde is the second book in the Enchanted Academy Series. After reading the first book I was looking forward to this one and it did not disappoint. A History of Hexing was a super fun and fast read. Like book one, the cover art is eye catching and immediately lets me know i'm going to be immersed in a world full of magic. Evie Wilde's writing style is very detailed with good character development. The story has a lot of twists and turns and takes a slightly darker turn than A Class of Conjuring which I really enjoyed.
We continue to follow the story of witch, Cassandra Clarke and her harem of men. I enjoyed the relationship between Cassandra and her men a lot better in this second installment. I liked that the group dynamic was problematic. It made the situations more plausible. Everyone having to support each other through various trials enhanced the overall storyline.
A History of Hexing has plenty of action, magic, mayhem, lust, and of course an evil enemy who wants to take over the world....again. Evie Wilde has built a fun magical system that makes this world feel unique. Published by Wisteria Lane Press, A History of Hexing is available for purchase from all major booksellers. I give A History of Hexing 3 out of 5 gems. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment in this witchy series. Happy Reading!
Cassandra is still upset over the death of her guild and her old guildmaster. Cassandra and her guys have been practicing their magic over the break. School is starting back up again. Everything seems to be quiet. Kyler sees someone from his past, he loses it. Cassandra and the others let him go, thinking he will tell them what happened between the two of them The school is having a dance, Cassandra is excited to go with her guys. She is running late. When Cassandra and Ruby arrive, she is told she shouldn't go in. That there is something bad happening there to the students. All Cassandra can think about is her men. She finds out two are really sick, they might not make it. That is just some of what happened in the book, there are so many moments that I didn't want to spoil it for anyone. You will see more of the what is going on. It is a lot of action, there are some steamy scenes in there as well. I recommend reading this series.

Cassandra and the guys were still keeping up with their training over the summer, spending sixty-minutes each day studying magic lore, witches, warlocks, and wizards. But they did take some time to hike and have fun as well. She is at least glad that the guys seem to be getting along well, more like brotherly companions than competitors who would fight over her. Kyler still went off on his own, but it’s what he needed to do.
Archmage Edius is still a concern and maybe has already made his move when people were poisoned at the Fall Festival dance. They need to step up the magic and training to finally defeat him. They have a score to settle with him. Oliver, Braeden and Dash are all studying, but Kyler has been distracted by someone in his past and will have to make his own choice in the end.
There is lots of action going on and many questions coming out of it for the reader to find an answer to. Grab your copy and keep up with the fast pace as they all try to prepare themselves for what’s ahead of them!
Cassandra and her guys have worked hard through the summer, studying and learning to work together as a group so they can , they study hard, and they are looking forward to the defeat their enemies. Classes resume, they study hard, and they are looking forward to the Fall Festival. The Archmage Edius has been attacking various groups around the world, and at the Fall Festival many students are poisoned. Unfortunately, Kyler is distracted, and moody by Sonny, a new student, and former friend which makes working with him difficult.
Fascinating, sexy, and well written characters learning to work together as a cohesive group while one of their members struggles with his past, and tries to accept his truth. Action packed, exciting read with plenty of magic, an unexpected betrayal, and lots of twists in the plot. Fantastic book!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
This book was a little better than the first. Cassandra is practicing her magic with her guys and that seems to be helping. Actually the only reason I read this book was because of her men. They are all getting closer until Kyler sees someone from his past and he begins to distance himself. Archmage Edius does some evil things and the gang has to stop him.. that is pretty much the book. Yes obviously there are details but it wasn't really that interesting or unique.
I think if Cassandra was different, I would have been really into this story because the guys were pretty good. Unfortunately this storyline has been told so many times that if you don't like a character, it kind of ruins the whole thing. I happen to like the academy "chosen one" story. I especially love it when there are multiple men. If read many, many books like that. This one is not one that will stick with me. Cassandra is just too naive and too annoying for me to enjoy fully.
This is the second book on this series. You can read it as a standalone, but it is easier when you have read the first part, so you know where Cassandra and her boys are coming from and what they had to deal with in book one in this series.
In this book Cassandra finally gets intimate with her other two boyfriends, but will she have fun with all four of them at the same time? Keep reading the book and you get an answer on that ;-)
Next to the chemistry between her and her men, there is again the fight against evil. Edius did stop with his evil plans, so he sends people on their path, people from their past.
This brings back memories they would have liked to forget or memories who are now shine on with a total different light.
Great read again, with action, friendship, trust, opening up and romance.
I have really tried with this story but I am unable to finish it. The storyline is amazing and I really wanted to try and finish it but the characters are so incredibly terrible. The first story they were just annoying a tad but this story they are worse. For people supposed to adults they act and sound like very young teens. Their tempers and attitudes are so young thinking that it just makes it impossible. Then it is supposed to be a RH but all you really ever see is her thinking about only one character. I am not one to not complete a story but I am just unable to on this one. The storyline however is amazing and has so much potential. The editing is extremely good. This is why I gave it three stars.

We have suspense, mystery, heartache and more. I did give it a lower score because some of the writing was not accurate in some of the scene. Cassandra has been working with her guys to get better at magic. We are back in session of school and now there is an new student. The Fall Festival somethings happen and now they have to figure out why. Who is the cause? Will the guys make it? Why does Kyler hate Sunny so bad? Was Edius behind the incident? How will they stop him? Will we find out what is really happening? Can they protect the students? Can they find how to stop it? What will happen when they find out who is behind it?

Book 2 and the pace hasnt slowed down from the 1st one. Still trying to find out a way to defeat Edius (the bad guy). Except now she has to deal with her four guys - Braeden, Dash, Kyler and Oliver (who each have their own personal demons to contend with) hexes that effect the whole school and back stabbing people. Some i never saw coming at all so that was a surprise. One of which im really hoping is doesnt turn out to be working for the bad guys? Fingers crossed. Ill see in the next book i hope? Loving reading this series so much though. Cass and her guys are fantastic characters, cheeky, fun and loyal too. Just a great book and series
I received this book from NetGalley for free for my honest review. I thought the plot line was pretty good. But the 2-star rating was because it was lacking in detail. I know what was happening but not why. Why is there a connection between the 5 of them? Why is Edius even targeting Cassandra and her 4 boyfriends? A History of Hexing left me with more questions than answers. I feel like if the author really delve into the character's back story and personality this would have been a pretty good page-turner.
This book is the second in the "Enchanted Academy" series.
Cassandra needs to focus on her magic so she doesn't do any damage. She'll find herself with four students by her side. Kyler will be distracted by Sonny, who has a mysterious past. And thanks to Sonny, Kyler's secrets will be revealed. As for the Archmage Edius, if they want to beat him, they'll have to study hard.
A book read in one go I loved the story so much, so captivating, addictive, full of suspense and twists and turns with characters as endearing as ever.
Cassandra and her four lovers have a battle to survive this year at the Academy! Kyler has an old friend betray him, and is forced to kill him. Cas and Brae find that their old guildmaster is out to capture or kill them. Will they be able to save Airelios anmd defeat Ren? Their relationship solidifies - but will they be able to find and beat Archmage Edius? I cant wait for book 3! :-)

Cassandra and her men (Dash, Oliver, Kyler and Braeden) survived their first year at the Enchanted Academy, but can they survive the next one? The influence of their enemy, Edius is seeming to grow, and they need to learn to master their magic quick to fight him off. I enjoyed this book, Cassandra is getting to know her men even more, they need to figure out who are friends and foes, and there is plenty of angst/danger and challenges for this group.
This book continues seamlessly from the previous book and is an excellent read. It is well written and the characters and story were both well developed. I love watching the character dynamics develop and evolve through the books. The story was action packed and full of twists and turns. It had suspense, betrayal, emotion, intrigue, hot chemistry and romance. I’d highly recommend this book and hope there are future books from this author!!
This is book 2 of the Enchanted Academy series. I love this series. I love Cassandra and her guys. The story is well written as well as all the characters. Im looking forward to the next book and recommend reading.

A History of Hexing (Enchanted Academy Book 2) by Evie Wilde is an awesome story that I have read. this si book number two out of four in this awesome series that I have loved reading. I highly recommend this awesome story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romance.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the second book and has Cassandra and her guys having summer break. They study their magic daily to get better. When school starts things start happening and they have to find who is responsible. Will Cassandra get her magic to be what she needs as it seems that things are going well with her guys. How will it go? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I liked this one a bit better than the first book in the series. The characters were a little bit more fleshed out, yet I still don't get why Cass is the chosen one and she is very overprotected by the four boys. I also felt the plot was very thin and could have been a lot more complex than what it is. It's fast paced and easy to read though.
The second book made me fall in love with the characters even further. You get to know them better and learn more about what makes them tick. The second book is even better than the first with lots of unexpected turns and twists. Also I'm still frustrated with Kyler for kinda acting like a douche
ARC review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Cassandra , kyler , breadon, dash , Oliver are still learning their skills and now fighting another minon who is poisoning the university . Awesome story
Wow. Wow. And another wow. Damn I love this series. Cassandra and her four gorgeous men. A traitor. Or two. A dragon. Hell unleashed. More deaths. Love. Lots of hot stuff. More hot stuff. Bring on the next one asap please. Cannot wait for more of this brilliant series.
I enjoyed this read plenty to like about the storyline was easy and flowed smoothly. The characters are well developed and engaging. This is the second book in the series and continues to develop.

Cassandra must face her toughest enemy yet. Her old mentor is in league with a crazy mage. Plus her for men have all their own problems. Especially when one of het men, his rival shows at the school
