One star removed for saying alcohol in moderation has heart-protective benefit; a debunked myth. Research shows that no amount of alcohol is truly safe for your cardiovascular system.
Some great tips though. No one has ever told me insulin is light sensitive. Good thing to know.
I also liked some of the breakdowns on dosing tips.

Gosh was this book ever useful! Loved it! (Not all the chapters applied to me, so I skipped those, FYI.) So much great information here!

A lot of really good information. And not too much to overwhelm me. A lot of it I knew already (t1d diagnosis is an unrelenting teacher that moves at a grueling pace), but some good tips and tricks to use as we sort this out. I love reading about ways my daughter can live a full and healthy life so I’m grateful for this book.
