Tom Stone: One Shot, One Kill

Rate this book
A suspenseful crime thriller loaded with Vigilante Justice. Drug Cartels. And Murder. A deadly sniper terrorizes LA, until Detective Tom Stone takes action.

A vigilante sniper terrorizes Los Angeles with perfectly-timed assassinations, picking off the ultra-wealthy who finance the flow of drugs into the city. As each one falls, a power vacuum is created and a ruthless drug cartel moves in, seeking control of the streets through intimidation, mutilation, and brutally murdering anybody who gets in their way.

Detective Tom Stone and his partner Jake Sharpe suspect mob boss Frank DeVito has a role to play in the carnage after the cartel’s shot-caller, a woman in prison named Lil’ Jo, orders an assault on DeVito’s estate.

Gang violence escalates while the sniper extracts his revenge, eliminating the elite one shot at a time. Stone turns to a new detective on the force, Brian Kilbraide, who had served as a sniper with the Army Rangers.

Stone and his team must race to stop the bloodshed and bring DeVito to justice before the sniper’s powerful bullet cuts him dead.

About the author

Don Simkovich

Don returned to his love for writing fiction after years of writing and narrating a radio spot series, marketing copy, and handling the pressures of a wild and crazy family life.

Frequent calls to the local Sheriff's office, plus the intensity of handling teen alcoholism and teen pregnancy pressed stories from his mind like Earth's weighty layers turn shale into harvestable fuel.

Well, you get the picture.

Don has fine-tuned his craft writing romance to crime fiction and the recent Tom Stone detective stories.

He lives at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains with his family, two dogs, and anyone else who happens to drop by and live for a spell.
