A God-fearing, whiskey-drinking, dysfunctional Southern family loses its patriarch and starts experiencing weird things. Fearing that a ghost or a devil has descended upon them in their time of grief, they call in a medium -- a gay Yankee of a medium, at that. He's solved cases all around the world, been interviewed by Oprah and verified on YouTube, but has he met his match with this family? Will prejudice, drinking problems, and a language barrier get in the way of solving this one?
I liked this paranormal tale. It was intriguing, it kept me guessing until the end. I liked the characters as well. A good read for a stormy day. And Kevin, I hope you do find Kyle again!
I ALWAYS figure out the endings to books like these about midway through but Kevin really had me stumped. Most importantly though, as with his other two books, Kevin pours his heart right out on to the pages. This story will make you laugh and cry and scare you a little and every word is worth reading!
When I first started reading I wasn't sure what I thought of this book. The more I read, the more I was drawn into it. There are family's stories, drama, hauntings and ghosts. In my opinion, the author did a good job of describing his characters, holding this reader's attention and giving the book a somewhat happy ending.
