Damiano de Luca by Parker S Huntington...oohhh, so good. 2nd chance, enemies to lovers, sparks fly from beginning to end. Zachary Webber and Desiree Ketchum bring this one to life...and its duet style narration is perfect. And it is hot!
Rivalry: Slay One by Laurelin Paige...Elena Wolf brings Celia and Edward to life and their back and forth is deliciously steamy. Celia usually is the one who plays the games but she has met her match.

Audiobook review - Ok so I was so surprised by this anthology. I thought it would be a bunch of stand alone short stories by some awesome authors like most anthology collections but upon closer look this collection is actually 4 full books. Sadly though, most are series starters, so once you're hooked by one of the 4 offerings, you end up having to buy the other books to find out how the story ends. Granted all these authors are seriously amazing and the series starters are well worth buying the rest to get the entire story but just know most of these aren't stand alone books but in for a penny, in for a pound.

Better When It Hurts: 5*
Absolutely loved this story. Grabbed me from the first paragraph. Loved the characters. Especially Blue and Lola/Hannah. They’re everything I look for in protagonists: smart, feisty women and Alphas that never wimp out. Didn’t want to put it down, and read parts aloud (whispering) as happens when I’m engrossed. Writing was excellent. Would highly recommend the book, but this Collection not so much.
Damiano De Luca: 1* DNF
Made it to Chapter 4, but the writing wasn’t great, with poor punctuation, that I needed to bail. There’s 46 chapters of this dross, and I just couldn’t finish it. Torturous.

The first three books were great!
First book is a solid four star for me. I can never resist a book with Zachary Webber.
Second book (Slay) was a little slow but I saw potential and ended up binging the series. The second and third books in the series are very dark and so I found the book in this bundle well worth the series it opened up to.
Book three (Cutting ardor and a Rough Edge) were a great psychological thriller and I added the series to my list to finish.
I didn’t listen to the last book in the bundle (didn’t sound like a book for me). However I think with the other books I would definitely recommend this bundle!

This is a great selection of fantastic books!
I love each and every one of these authors and their talent for the dark and twisted story is well known. I love being on the edge while reading. Anxious to turn the page and eager to see what is coming. All four of these stories does just that, holding you captive until the last word.

So my gosh so many emotions. I was expecting dark. But I wasn’t expecting my emotions to be all over the place while reading and finishing these books. Each book 100% sucked me in. Be prepared to want to read the next book by each author - a few cliffhangers. Huntington, Reiss, and Warren fully delivered dark romances with edge, grit, and amazing characters.

Wow! Each story made caring, cry and care. Each Alpha in the stories makes you want to swoon at his feet or run like hell. Each woman is either sassy and sexy and a survivor in one way or anther. When they need spark fly. Watch out your reader may catch fire!

Wow give me any of these bad boys! After listen to each book, my mind is blow. What a collection of books. My heart has been broken repaired and exploded over and over. It’s always great to be given a good story, something you can devour, but to find four books where you can here the authors attention to fine details, how they have spent time to research in to situations for the material of the story. Each of these books are fantastic in there own rights, different and daring.

Like all collections, there is always hit and miss, and it sadly was a miss with me and Damiano de Luca.
This is a second chance romance that didn't quite make it for me.
There was a lot of back and forth and way too many lies to keep track of.
I marked it DNF around 40% in. I may pick it back up again though as the storyline sounded amazing!
Slay One Rivalry by Laurelin Paige
What a way to start a series. I just love Edward and Celia!
This is my first Laurelin Paige story, so I think I may backtrack and check out this Fixed series everyone keeps telling me I should read.

Rough Edge by C.D. Reiss is the first installment in her brand new The Edge Series. Rough Edge is one of the 4 books in this series and told in a dual POV.
Caden Frazier is a successful surgeon, he´s ex-military, just like his wife, Greyson. She´s just back from her last deployment and happy to start their life together.
Both love each other deeply. It takes them some time to get acquainted again - understandable. Both have issues, but Caden is haunted by demons. He - the surgeon who could emotionless handle every situation is losing his cool. " The Thing " is looming on the side.
Let me tell you, Rough Edge is a very fitting title, the story is raw and gritty and hard to read at times. The storyline jumps between past and present, the whole story is a mindfuge of epic proportions - masterfully crafted, thought out and written at the same time. I started reading and was hooked, thrilled, anticipated the worst and what can I tell, I was not disappointed.
And now I´m sitting here with a major book hangover and can´t wait to get my hands on the next installment, On The Edge.
I recommend Rough Edge and give 5 dark stars.

I’ve listened to two stories so far. I don’t care about the Damiano de Luca story enough to continue the series. I didn’t review the audiobook immediately after listening so I’ve already forgotten what I liked and disliked about it.
HOWEVER , I just finished Slay and I absolutely hated it. Celia was a problem in the Fixed On You series. She’s a sad, stupid woman in Slay.
The marriage proposal was outlandish AF. I was rolling my eyes during the entire “negotiation”. Why would a wealthy woman marry that misogynistic, d-bag for a $100k monthly allowance? And what game was she supposed to be playing? It was obvious long before she agreed to marry him that she didn’t have any leverage. Somehow she deluded herself into thinking she was going to manipulate and embarrass him. Chile please *said with much side eye*.
This story is a lazy attempt to get people to buy 4 books. I will not be listening to Book 2. I don’t care what happens to these two very disgusting and disinteresting people.
Also, Edward’s wealth is not believable. He was orphaned and destitute but somehow he raised a family and his orphaned sister while amassing enough wealth to buy an island in the Caribbean??? I’m not saying it CAN’T happen. I’m just saying it didn’t happen.
Okay, I’m going back in. Hopefully the last two books will be better. *crossing my fingers*

Love this collection of dark romance novels, it's just perfect for anyone who loves dark romance with mafia, second chance and full spark chemistry steamy stories.
Rough Edge by CD Reiss
Caden and Greyson story will set you on fire, pages will blur away and you can't get enough. This is the first part of a 4 book story, I am sure you will keep on reading them all. The steamy scenes are fantastic.
Better When It Hurts by Skye Warren
Bue and Lola story full of hot scenes, their chemistry is off the charts and as all stories written by Skye Warren you will want it all. The story is fantastic, make sure you are ready for a one sit reading.
Slay One Rivalry by Laurelin Paige
This is one of my top favorites series this year, the story of Edward and Celia is so refreshingly new, the story is seriously phenomenal, and I am sure you will read them all in no time, there is no way you can stop at the first one only. It's addictive and perfect.

This was a fantastic collection and each story was absolutely page turning.
Rivalry by Laurelin Paige is an audio only bonus book and is my first book by this author. Honestly, while I didn't like but none of the characters in this, the story was actually pretty good. I dunno how she did it..but there you have it.

Better when it hurts by Skye Warren has real enemies to lovers elements that are both explosive and steamy as heck.

This was a fantastic collection and each story was absolutely page turning.
Rivalry by Laurelin Paige is an audio only bonus book and is my first book by this author. Honestly, while I didn't like but none of the characters in this, the story was actually pretty good. I dunno how she did it..but there you have it.

Three full length novels from three of the best dark romance writers in the game. What more can you ask for? This collection is absolutely perfect for readers who love the darker side like me.
Parker S. Huntington who has quickly become one of my top picks for mafia romance will keep you enthralled with Damiano’s story. No joke, you’ll quickly be downloading the rest of the 5 Syndacites standalones to devour.
CD Reiss is one of my all time favorite romance authors in general, the edge series being one I will reread time and time again. It’s the perfect mix of so many genres and lights you on FIRE. Rereading the Rough Edge caused me to do a complete reread of the series and I loved it even more than I did before. It’s gripping and electrifying every single time.
Skye Warren is new to me and WOW have I been missing out. Taboo at its finest, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Better When It Hurts and downloaded the rest of the Stripped Series. It’s sexy, it’s twisted, the chemistry was explosive and all I wanted was more!

These 2 had so much to not only had a past to deal with but also new lies are told and even more, are uncovered while they find their way to happily ever after.

Caden and Greyson a storyline that will have you turning pages as fast as you can to get answers to twists and turns. Sex scenes that will push your boundaries and some that will obliterate them.
Better When It Hurts by Skye Warren:
Blue and Lola had explosive chemistry. love/hate and a mountain of baggage. The explosive chemistry and all that hate made for monumentally hot sex scenes

As it says in the title, this is a collection of dark romance audiobooks. What it doesn't mention on the title, however, is how fantastic this collection is! From the mafia romance Damiano De Luca by Parker S. Huntington to the military romance Rough Edge by CD Reiss, this collection will have you at the edge of your seat with all the twists, turns, passion, steam, and of course, romance!
All four books are brought to life by highly-skilled narrators, making every second of this nearly 27-hour collection time well-spent and well worth the credit!
Another thing worth mentioning is that Rivalry: Slay One is the first book of the Slay Quartet series and Rough Edge is the first book of The Edge series. Both books end with cliffhangers.

Dark Romance Collection is a box set that has three really great dark romance books. This is a ideal box set to introduce you to these three authors and get a taste of their writing. This was the case for me with the first book by Parker S Huntington. I had never had the change to read her books and this opened my up to her writing...which I loved. Ms. Reiss and Ms. Warren I was in love with their writing so this gave me the changes to read more of their books. This was such a page turning set I would easily recommend to you to give this box set a go. Here are the books that you will be getting in the set:

Voiced by extremely gifted narrators, each book, while having dark elements, is a love story, marked by intensity and compelling storylines. I was riveted throughout and cannot recommend it enough. With books from the pens of immensely talented author's, whose books are one clicks for me, I knew I was getting quality writing. Add in the skills of Zachary Webber, Elena Wolfe, Maxine Mitchell, Joe Arden, Desiree Ketchum and Veronica Fox and these book spring to another, enthralling life, so different from the act of reading.
