Oh my god the queen by cole Denton was out of this world.
After reading Cole's trial by fire series I thought theres no way he could top what he's previously written. Boy was I wrong I loved everything about this book.
Octavia became queen at a young age she lost her parents to an attack by vampires (carpe noctem)
She's so strong. Octavia and her merry men is what I call them. They will do anything for her especially to please her sexually. This book was so hot. I finished it one sitting I couldnt put it down. Beware of what lurks in the fog.
Cant wait to read the next one in this series.

I wish I had more story on the Carpe Noctem.
This is a very steamy and has a lot of fun scenes and is a great way to show female sexuality without shaming it.
But I felt like the plot and story was buried very far under the steam. Overall really good and if steam more than plot is your preference, this is a must.

Wow! Loved it!
What a brilliant story, with bags of hot sexiness to enjoy aswell.
Fantastic characters, especially The Queen, Klyn and Kamara, and not forgetting the many, hot gentlemen!! I couldn't stop turning the pages and book 2 can't come soon enough!

3.5 stars but only because I'm not really into PNR. Having said that, will say it's a great dark read. Ends in cliff hanger.

So this book has been sitting on kindle for a little while now and I am literally kicking myself for not ready it sooner. Written in way that sucked me in from the first page, I was glued to my kindle to the very end.
Queen Octavia wasn't prepared to become the Queen at her young age and has never forgotten the circumstances on how it happened. Knowing that the threat is still out there, she continues to try to her kingdom safe and hidden.
This paranormal reverse Harlem is unlike my normal dark reads, but quickly became one of my favorites. Queen Octavia and her gentlemen are going to set your kindle on fire . And that ending? Wow! If I didn't already have the next one downloaded and ready, I would have been so upset because it's a doozy of a cliffhanger .

It wasnt't bad per say it's just that most of the content is composed of sex scenes.... After a while it kind of gets very repetitive and boring. Also, I dit not find FMC very likeable...
It kind of felt like like her ''gentlemen'' were undergoing a form of abuse of power. Let me explain:
- They all are very young (like 18-19 year old);
- Becoming one of the queen's gentlemen means security - food, housing, education, etc.;
- She uses them for sex without asking them what their preferences are (ex: Hey if you're a guy and you don't like anal sex ? Well that's just too bad because the queen wants you to like it... besides, you're a yound stud so you like any sexual activity right ?)
On the other hand, I kind of feel like this book only turns the tables on a bunch of books I have read so I kind of feel bad for noticing these elements in this particular book where the roles are reversed.
Will not be continuing with the series because really the only thing this queen does is have sex, walk to the market, eat breakfast, go to the sex toy store, look at other people have sex, get into a carriage... Yep that about sums it up !!!
Sorry my brain needs a bit more content to be content.... Or at least some action that isn't sexual in nature...

Octavia was born into royalty. Such a fine, subdued princess she was not. She was less interested in her duties as princess and more interested in her own personal pleasure and what lay beyond the castle walls deep in the forest. One night of curiosity leads to an act of horror and Octavia will never be the same. With the help of her glorified babysitter turned most trusted ally, Klyn, they begin to rebuild what was taken from them. Witches and Warlocks reside in the forest, but apparently that's not all that hides there.
I'm usually not a big fan of PNR, but this book definitely had my interest! FAST PACED, EXCITING AS WELL AS INTRIGUING, WITH UNFORGETTABLE CHARACTERS AND A GREAT STORYLINE THIS BOOK IS A DEFINITE MUST READ ! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK !

Cole Denton is a new to me author whose writing is quickly turning me into a huge fan. The blurb and reviews had me irresistibly drawn to The Queen in spite of my skepticism for reverse harem and paranormal stories. Well, consider me converted! The Queen drew me into her enticing, erotic world from the first chapter and I could not put it down. While some authors spend full chapters on the backstory and world building, The Queen gets straight to the story with the backstory and other aspects of her world seamlessly woven throughout the book. This lead to a smooth flowing storyline that was completely captivating and suspenseful. Scenes of The Queen with her gentlemen were intensely arousing and erotic, leaving me panting for more. I can’t wait to dive into Hybrid, the next book of this series!

The Queen and her Gentlemen
I have been waiting with anticipation for this book, especially after reading some blurbs about each of the Queens Gentlemen and the Queen herself. I have read paranormal books before but nothing as Hot and erotic as this one, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to find out more. Klyn the Queens protector I fell in love with him from the first page to the end, they shared a special bond and I loved that. Cole Denton has become one of my favourite authors to read, each book I’ve read has left me wanting more from this very talented author. Highly recommend this book to be read. 5***** from me

This was my first paranormal read and I'm pleased that the author was Cole Denton! It was astonishing. Cole makes you fall in love and embrace his characters. Octavia, Klyn, and the "boys" are sexy and sizzling. The Queen is amazingly well-written and paced. This ended in a cliffhanger. Thank goodness I had Hybrid waiting.

I absolutely love Cole's work. The Queen is one of those stories you can't put down. I was up until the wee hours of the morning, turning pages to see what happened next. The characters are fantastic. The storyline is just...wow! Thankfully Hybrid is sitting pretty in my Kindle. I can't wait to read more.

I haven’t read much paranormal since Laurel K. Hamilton. But my interest has been rekindled recently so I decided to dive into this one and I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. I’m moving right on to Book 2. A little darkness with a lot heat, you can’t go wrong with that. Not to mention vampires that don’t sparkle.

I went in blind reading this and it didn't disappoint. It ended up being so much more than I expected. Lots of steam, suspense, action, twists and turns. An interesting storyline that's written well. You'll be hooked. Plus that ending isn't what you'd expect or see coming. Overall it's a fantastic book.

This is a Reverse Harem PNR with a dark approach. Queen Octavia and her gentlemen will have you stay hooked on every page. I love Klyn, he is a strong side character. Highly recommend and ready for Hybrid….

Princess Octavia wasn’t ready to become the Queen just yet as she loved being her 19 year old self. Due do a tragedy, she became the Queen overnight. She loved her gentlemen and the hot sex from them all.

This was a little weird for me. Generally I’m all for lots of smut but this was straight into it without character building first. It felt rushed at the start and when the story finally got interesting it ended with a cliffhanger.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great description and depth of characters. I love the anticipation of the return of the villain. This was a fantastic story and super steamy. Looking forward to reading Hybrid. I highly recommend this book.

A very spicy different kind of vampire story. Octavia is a princess who is very bored. Until one day when her whole life changes. As the years pass she rebuilds her life and town. But now thing are happening to her that may change everything again.

This book was an interesting read. The book isn’t overly long. Octavia is a princess. A princess who has needs and urges. She is a sexual creature and finds ways to satisfy those needs. One night at the village festival the kingdom is attacked. She and her adviser manage to survive but not unharmed. Those both manage to just survive. But now they are vampires and she is the queen. 200 years later she is the queen of pleasure. She has men at her beck and call. Each year at the festival she adds a new man to her group. They know why the kingdom was attacked and haven’t seen or heard from those creatures again. But her past is about to come back for a second try. Things are about to get interesting. I really enjoyed this book. It has a lot of heat to it but still has a story line that is engaging. Octavia and Klyn share a great bound and not just because of the tragedy they survived together. Octavia’s gentlemen are there for her whenever she needs or wants them, to do whatever she wants. The last man she adds, River, adds even more heat to the group. He is older than they others and is a bit of a mystery. He is more alpha than the others as well. Giving something to Octavia she didn’t realize she was missing. There is a twist right at the end. I can’t wait to read the next book and see what happens. Great job Cole.

Cole Denton so help me, kept me on the edge of my seat again. With this new series he took you on a ride through a paranormal world, that is dark and sexy as hell. It will steam up your kindle, set fire to them, and melt batteries everywhere. This book is a very different journey from his last series, but just like the last I loved every minute, because this is right up my alley. the Queen is a fierce woman not to be messed with. The supporting characters the Queen's men has something you will love. They each have a characteristic that will latch onto you, and make you hold onto them dearly. This book held me captive, read it in one sitting and ignored everything that was around me absorbing it all. This story is very original and unpredictable. When you read this book make sure to grab a snack before, because you will forget the outside world exists. Denton is definitely becoming one of my top favorites one click authors. He has a way with his words and storytelling that is very special in this day and age. Like I said in another review of mine, there is no limitations he can't reach. This is his fourth book, with every one I read he keeps making me crave more. I am looking forward to what comes next from Denton and you should be too.
