For once it is easy to see why so many guys like one girl! She is a a badass!

Generally in reverse harem books, especially these bully romance books, the girls are easily hurt and very breakable while the guys are the strong alpha males. In this series, though the guys are alpha males. The heroine, Valentina is definitely the strongest out of everyone at the entire school. She is also the leader of the five of them and usually the decision maker when it comes to making plans and figuring out what they are going to do next.

This book really ups the stakes for everyone involved since the guys are no longer the Knights and are now marked like Val. And though they have more people on their side than Val originally did in book one, it is also more dangerous because like Walter McMillan years ago who tried to get the school to turn against the spades, it could end up deadly as it did for Walter.

One thing you might want to know about this series is that it is a young adult reverse harem romance and though Val does date Ezra, Jaxson, Maverick and Ryder she is never intimate with more than one of them at a time. The steamy scenes are also pretty circumspect and not too over the top. The romance is sweet and loving between Val and each of the four guys in different ways.

Though the story about the school and the secret society does take a much larger role than the romance and it is very entertaining and intriguing. I was guessing until the very last minute as to who was involved and who the main players would turn out to be. From start to finish this book held my interest. Nice wrap up to the series.

Warning.... Rant Incoming!!! This series has me feeling a whole lotta ways. I really did not love this ending and I hated all the open threads. After a tumultuous drama laden series I really wanted something so much more explosive than what was delivered. On the last page you learn there is a followup series featuring these characters in college. Fine, OK, but can we finish this story and drama first before starting anew. I am still livid over how by the end Valetina still had not come clean to her guys about her past, especially her past with Adam and her connection to Ryder. On the note of Ryder. I have so many questions and the more I think on his mother and him the angrier I get. In the book we are introduced to a kind sickly woman. But when you look at the background on her, she's pretty slimy if you ask me and her character doesn't match up. I mean she basically paid off a 14 year old rape survivor because she didn't want to lose her husbands fortune. Ummm say what? How is this OK? Not to mention she helped get rid of her husbands body and clean up the fact there was even a murder. Which again, another thing Valentina never tells her guys. I still by the end could not get over some of the things the guys did. The only one I really felt atoned himself was Ezra, he came clean to her mom and went out of his way for forgiveness. As for the rest, they kinda apologize but considering they don't even know the whole truth about her, they don't even realize the real harm and torment they caused her first two years. I also thought it was wrong beyond belief for Ryuder to take her to her fathers' house, my jaw is still on the ground that he thought that was OK. Then again her non reaction was pretty telling about her character. After thinking we had a vindicated badass Valentina on the rise she lost her vibe from book two and went on back to being a complete and utter idiot. Just as an example, she ends up chasing Eric, alone, at night, into the bayou all while knowing the Spades are waiting to strike. Like how dumb do you have to be?!?!?! On that note in essence I hated how quick she turned from being their enemy to lover. Two years they tormented her and broke her down and it's like she just forgot all that and didn't want to be angry anymore. No, I'm sorry, I get not wanting a grudge to get you down but the people at this school (the guys most of all) went above and beyond regular bullying. I still think she should have literally razed that school to the ground and made the guys kiss the ground she walked on. I don't care that there's another series, for me to really believe the RH aspect and have hope for them there can be no secrets. Not to mention if I didn't plan to actually read the offshoot series this is just unsatisfying with so much left open. Sure she finds out who the mysterious Ace is and even the Spades, but what actually happens? Nothing is really clear and I'm not even 100% sure if the school is closed and closed for good. The conclusion was so boring and blah I feel so letdown after all the buildup. It kinda just ends out of nowhere in the middle with them leaving mid semester and all having to go to other schools to finish out the year. There's no chance to say goodbye to the many side characters or even a glimpse at a HEA.

This is starting to feel like a trend, Vincent has these crazy plots that I'm super into and then the ending is anticlimactic. I was trying to figure out who Ace was and who the other Spades are and the way we found out was just blah. This book also seemed to focus a lot on Valentina taking her relationships with the guys to the next level and put the Evergreen parts to the side. I just wanted to keep up the mystery and intensity but it fell flat.

This also only kind of ended and will continue in a sequel series. I wasn't prepared for another series and though I'll probably read it so I can see Valentina get to a good place, I'm a bit disappointed that things didn't wrap up. Why is Val still keeping secrets from Ezra, Maverick, and Jaxon? If you want a future with them, be honest!

I liked the series overall and this didn't ruin it for me. I just had higher hopes and maybe this would have been better as a trilogy instead.

That was batshit crazy and not in a good way.
There is drama and then there's that. I still love the first two books but I admit the last two ones are letting a bitter taste in my mouth.
The ending was predictable and it was too much you know. I mean ok it's an elite school with a secret society but I have a hard time believing that after the events in book 2, the police wouldn't put its nose in the academy and dig more.
The last chapter was really not the closure I expected. Are we supposed to read the Breakbattle Academy series to know how the story ends ? If so, it's really bad.

Wow

Ok so I can say I didnt see some of that stuff coming. However this wasnt quite the ending I was expecting. It felt alittle dull compared to everything that had happened and I still have some unanswered questions. Other than that it was a great series. I wish there was an epilogue that went into their future but all in all not bad.

Series review - 5 stars

Despite my shaky start with the series, I am at a loss for words! I absolutely loved the 2 last books.

In spite of my complaint about Marked, I immensely enjoyed this story and I am glad that first hiccup did not deter me from continuing with the series.

At first I was worried and a little bit disturbed by the idea of a 15 year old girl with a harem, but I sort of got over it, kind of. May be because the sex doesn't become a factor until very late in the story and also to some extend, Val's life experiences had made her a bit more mature than your average 15 year old. But I think I am still not comfortable with this because I am still cringing as I am reflecting on the subject. And this leads me to conclude that Ruby Vincent did such a good job selling Val's whole situation, because it became a non-issue for me at some point, while I was devouring the 4 books. The story was that much engaging that I sort of forgot about my discomfort and I just wanted to know what is going to to happen next.

Notwithstanding the lower ratings that I gave the first books, I sincerely feel the series as a whole deserves 5 stars. And for me its going in to my Repeat-worthy bookshelf.

Evergreen Academy is now a completed series (4 book series). It’s a Academy/Bully slow burn RH. Loads of suspense, a “who done it” theme and let’s not forget the romance (ya know horny teenagers and all).

This is the first series (or books) I’ve read from Ruby Vincent and I really enjoyed it.

This series follows Val, our heroine, who is from the poorer side of the track, where she is accepted into the most prestigious school in the world. She witnessed something she shouldn’t and becomes target to some of the most heinous bullying ever. All the friends she made turned on her and left her on her own to face the Knights and eventually the Spades. Val being who she is and needing to pave a bright future for her and her family doesn’t let the bullying deter her and she fights back.

Val’s love interests, like every story, don’t realise what they have until challenged by the spitfire that is Val now there is a lot of instant attraction but love does take time and over the four books it blossoms. The guys are hot by the way and the labors they endure to apologise are cute and very thoughtful.

I loved the twist and turns in each book and I can honestly say that I didn’t guess who Ace ended up being. It’s fantastic that even uncovering somethings that the main rouse was hidden until the very end ... awesome!

🚨triggers 🚨 there are some topics that may be too raw for some readers such as: rape, assault and other abuse bare in mind before reading.

Final book of the series!

I don’t know why the ages of the characters are bothering me so much. Ive read several other high school aged books and it was totally fine, but this one just seems so unbelievable to me. I feel like if it was at least college, it would be more believable. Other than that, I really enjoyed the mystery aspect of the story. I definitely didn’t expect all of this from a bunch of kids!!! I thought there would be some parents involved or something.
The author has a great writing style, and the overall plot was interesting and will hook you. It’s just the ages that I have a hang up on, which usually doesn’t get to me. And I feel like the relationships between the main characters was a little... forced? That might not be the best word for it, but I just didn’t feel the connections between them. They went from hating each other to loving each other superrrrr quick.
This isn’t a horrible series, but its definitely not my fave by anyyyy means. But I will say you should read it and decide for yourself, because again, the writing is excellent, and I’ll probably check out other books by this author, just not high school aged, because hers aren’t working for me.

Ok. The first two books were quite a throw, the plot was nice, thick in mystery and come backs form our MC. I was dragged in many emotions through out my reading and couldn't stop myself from finishing the series. As for, i read all of Evergreen Academy novels in three days. The thing is, i'm so very disapointed with the end. From book 3 it all went down hill. There seems to be no more actual plot and kind of a loop repeating. You actually have high expectatives from the book, like wondering why the school is actually the way it is, but the end let me down, i was expecting something more grand.
And the harem Valentina created around her... i guess it's really not my style. I have a hard time accepting the fact that she can jump to a boy to another, have sex with them and then just go find the next one. It's completly understandable how she feared sex in book 1 and 2 because she was raped, but it's weird to see how she just suddenly loves it and asks for it all the time, anywhere. It also puzzles me the fact that there doesn't seems to be a problem with the boys sharing her. I have a feeling she doesn't really love all of the boys, it's more like a crush except for one of them. He is the one who understands her better and she is the one who knows him best. I was hoping she would realise he was the only one she really need.

I think this serie could have been condensed in two books, and have more concern over the credibility of the romance. It just kinda sounded fake and needs more meaning and depth.

Arggg this book let me down soooo much. I think this series should have had 2 or 3 books top.
I loved first 1-2 and to me, the story ends there. Book 3 and 4 were not necessary, plot wise. Nothing much happens in book 3 and book 4 could have been condense between 1 and 2.
I don’t like the intimate relationship between the girl and the boys, it seems forced. I would have loved for Valentina to end up with Ryder but nope. I know it is a RH, which in my eyes, should have more deep connection and attraction. What I get from them is friendship between Valentina and three of the boys and love intestest in Ryder. The author build up their relationship so good from hate to love since the beginning that it would have been amazing seeing them together.

This series started off so strong, but by the end I just wasn’t feeling it. I kept reading to see what happened, but I wasn’t feeling compelled to read it anymore.
The fourth book wrapped everything up nicely and explained who and what happened to everyone. It had more twists and turns, and I will say a few people I was expecting to be bad weren’t. I really thought a few of the professors would be mixed in.

At the end it mentions another book following the group to college, but I think I’m going to pass on it.
Maybe I’ll revisit the group later on and see if the new setting brings back some interest.

Took a chance on this series and so glad I did. It's fabulous. Slow burn RH, enemies/bullies to lovers, intrigue, and a FMC that's worthy of those guys. This review is for the whole series. Love it. Recommend for fans of Bully Academy RH genre.

Amazing series

This is a must read series. A great storyline with fantastic characters. It's disturbing with the trauma and bullying but this is real. Some people go about their day and never think of it because it's not happening to them. Some people choose to ignore it and others are a part of it. Though this is fiction, hopefully it's a wake up call. I would have liked a more distant epilogue but this series is so worth the read.

Wow

What a crazy ride but oh so worth it! The first book draws you in and keeps you guessing. As you got through the next couple of books you think you got it figured out but by the end you realise you never had a clue. So much angst and intrigue, heat and love. I’d recommend these books to everyone.

I kid you not, I almost DNFed the first book, and then I suddenly found myself backtracking my comments about reverse harem and sharing lovers and finished all four books! Lol

This book was quite problematic, when you think of the fact that it was about high school students who are facing attempted murder, abuse, bullying, and are engaging in numerous sexual activities, and above all . Yes, high schoolers.

That said, this book was so action packed, drama packed, tension and excitement packed, that I couldn't let it go.
I'd read something similar, in the form of bully falls in love with victim and shares lover with friends, before, but it was so cringy for me, I couldn't keep reading, with this, I was so quick to pick up the next book you wouldn't even believe it, lol.

**This review will be posted for all books, it felt like one story divided too many times, general rating is three stars, general liking for the writing style, the plot, and the twists and turns of the book.
**Warning, this book talks about sex, rape, abuse, murder, attempted murder, violence, and bullying.

I'm so sad to give this book such a low rating but in comparison to Bound, this one sucked. Even though the first two book in this series are almost exactly like The Rich Boys of Burberry Prep, they were still very fun and fast paced. Unfortunately, this one fell flat. The ending of this book was an utter disappointment. I was expecting allot more and I feel like the ending was too abrupt and entirely unplanned. Even though, this book didn't meet my expectations, I'll probably pick up The Plan because there is something very addicting about the way Ruby Vincent writes.

A crappy final book to a crappy series.
Yet again, another waste of time and money.
I honestly don’t understand why certain authors jump into the reverse harem genre when they can in any way shape or form up to what it’s supposed to be. And this was just another example of that.
There was no reason whatsoever for this to actually be a reverse harem. There was no real relationship or relationship progression. The sex scenes were the weakest and most disappointing I’ve ever read. They pretty much didn’t even exist. This whole series was a joke and it was immature and weak.

This series started out so freaking good, but in my opinion it was dragged out too long, and to top it off the ending is horrible.
I get authors wanting to connect books, but to go through 4 books of these five and all of the drama, and not even give them a proper ending is ridiculous.

🎭 The story 🎭
The last book ended with the guys losing their Knight status, and them being marked. This of course changes the ranks in the school, with everyone no longer listening to the guys. Besides that, Ace is still there to ruin their lives.

Hm. I must say I’m a bit disappointed with this book. Don’t get me wrong, I still loved the boys and Val, and most of the side characters, but the ‘big reveal’ was quite disappointing to me. Throughout the entire book I had the wildest theories about who the Spades and Ace were, and then It just felt a bit convenient, like I don’t know, but I hated that. I really thought Ace was good for some part of this story, because they honestly didn’t seem to know about Scarlett being a pedophile.

There were also some plotholes that annoyed me in this one. I kept thinking Neomi would come back, since it was hinted that she had something to do with Val falling down the stairs in the second book. This wasn’t explained AT ALL. We still don’t know who made her fall down, nor do we know if Neomi had anything to do with that at all. Was the scene in the third book – with the principal – seriously all the explanation we got? I hate it. I really do. Dammit, I’m so disappointed with the mystery and reveals in this book. The other books got me so hyped, and then this one just let me down. I could’ve come up with 2000 more likely and better scenarios than the real reveal. Ugh.

I did like how I felt so terrible when Isabella and co still didn’t believe them, but I’m glad the school finally did something. I was glad some more people were on their side. The I do love Kai and the way he stood up for Paisley. Can we please add him to the harem?

Again, there were quite some mistakes in writing. The writing style was also different all of the sudden; there suddenly was a bit of a jump, because they talked about things happening in the last semester – like Sofia getting dye on her and stuff, which all felt a bit weird. I felt like I missed something in the last book, but it was just not written down – so it never really happened for us to read about, if that makes sense? A bit weird, such a time jump out of nowhere.

🎭 The characters 🎭
🎅Val I honestly don't have anything new to say, she’s still very strong and I loved her relationships with the guys. The way the relationships all developed, I loved it. I was also very glad that she told the boys about Adam, and the way they responded. Damn, I need to get myself a harem like this one.
The guys shared incredulous looks like they couldn’t believe all four of them had fallen in love with a lunatic.

🐊The boys I loved the boys all so much, but I wished we’d gotten more smutty scenes lol. Ryder made me frustrated – I still don’t understand why he didn’t want to kiss her and all that at first? The slow burn was good, don’t get me wrong, but it was never really explained why he kept pushing her away, so that annoyed me a bit. I still don’t really love him, I did like his interactions with Val a lot more in this one, but there were still some things that bothered me. I think I’m still quite mad about that. Besides that, he did have some great moments in this book.
”I’m saying that people probably assume he’s flirting with them if he [Roundtree - the hot teacher] even breathes in their direction, but he didn’t say or do anything inappropriate with me. He was actually kind of an asshole.”
He [Ryder] scoffed. “More reason for me to be suspicious. Everyone knows you love assholes.”
I swatted his shoulder before he could duck me. “I’m about to shake one asshole loose if he doesn’t behave himself.”
“I’ll tell Jaxson he needs to be worried then.”

I just kinda missed some alone time with the rest of the boys, although Ezra had some cute moments too. And Maverick in the bus – heheh that surprised me, but damn boy. Jaxson is still my fave, he’s way too cute, but Maverick is right up there with him. And who am I kidding, Ezra too.
“We’re in,” I whispered. “Search everywhere.”
“Why are you whispering?” Ryder said in a normal tone. “We’re the only ones here.”
“Just hush,” I snapped as the others snickered. “Find the yearbooks.”
“I did say I liked them bossy,” Ezra mumbled as he passed by me.

Lol, I love it when the boys are all together and making fun of Val. Damn, I wish we’d gotten more scenes of all the boys together.

Some new characters were introduced, like the new hot teacher – but he wasn’t important to the story at all. Seriously, if you introduce characters like that (just like what happened with Neomi) at least make them important to the story! Argh!!!

🎭 Overall conclusion 🎭
All in all, I was quite disappointed with the reveals in this book. We found out who the Spades and Ace are – and I didn’t really like what we learned. There definitely were some great scenes in this book, but I just hated the reveals too much. I do still love the boys, and I really liked the subtle way Breakbattle Academy was introduced hihi! That school is definitely worse than Evergreen xD
