This is a amazingly good resource book for any youth collection. Focusing on the reasons and routines of why the Roman army conquered and ruled many lands, the author does a masterful job of giving just the right amount of facts to keep the reader interested. It's the illustrations though that make this book a gem. Young readers can spend quite awhile just browsing the illustrations and garner quite a bit of information. A great book for any library collection. You can't go wrong with this book.
