One, two, things are changing for you. Three, four, monsters at your door. Five, six, no one could predict. Seven, eight, you learn they're your mates. Nine, ten, it's time to fight again.
Paige Alice has changed, but she's not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.
The good. Four annoying and different types of men, who she trusts with her life. A scary but faithful sidekick, and of course, her crazy family.
The bad. ...Everything else.

Want to know why I rated this book 3 stars? I'll tell you. It was because of the smut, without it this is a 1 star read but the smut jacked it up to 3, Lucky.
I sometimes like my harem to be an orgy meaning I like when they all get it in with one another. MM interactions in RH always get an extra bump from me. Dual Pov is another thing I like.
That being said the story was eh. They are insta loving out of nowhere. Jealousy runs amok and everyone growls. Typical RH thing. We have the alpha, the meek sweet one, the douche canoe and the loyal one that lives for her.
Recommend for those who like MM in RH or want to read some smut, if not save yourself. I'll be getting book 2 though because ...smut.
I'm not understanding why this book has huge positive reviews, are we all reading the same story? I got to about 28% and the little I read was ridiculous. this book is Very very rushed in my opinion, and although I know this is a fantasy book, it is also unbelievable.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 🖤💙❤️💜 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍 Character development: 🙂🥰☺️😎😍 Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Paige - she was a barista with a sister she loved. Her sister had a husband and kids, but Paige had only had one real boyfriend, and he was no winner. She recently lost some time, and woke up in a grave she had to climb out of. She found a huge beast of a dog who took care of her and helped her to get what she hungered for, human flesh. She had been turned into a ghoul. Though she had no idea how or who turned her, she could only live her life and try to find answers.
The Heroes:Asher, Nate, Alex, Thorn - Asher was a vampire, Nate a wolf shifter and Alex was a young mage. They were a team, working for the supernatural council to keep the supernatural world under wraps from humans and solving supernatural crimes. Thorn was a ghoul who worked for the former ghoul queen. He was tasked with being there for the new queen and protecting her once the former queen died.
The Story: Paige was supposed to meet her sister and family at a restaurant one night. When she gets there, three supernatural male officers are outside, and she is able to get through their wards and she finds out there is a hostage situation going on inside. She sneaks into the restaurant and finds that a demon is holding the restaurant hostage, and she is able to get between him and all the humans in the restaurant. In the scuffle, she goes through some kind of change and suddenly feels her heart start beating again.
Paige meets Thorn and finds out that she is the new queen and is in danger since demons are after her. She needs to go to the castle and take her place as queen. Asher, Nate and Alex will not allow her to go with Thorn whom she just met, so they all end up going with to get answers. Paige also brings her family and the hellhound who had been watching over her.
This is a good story so far. I liked the fact that there are so many different types of supernaturals. Though ghouls eating human flesh is much more gross that vampires drinking the blood. I liked the fact that this was a reverse harem, and it was bisexual as well. The guys liked being with each other as well as Paige. Though they were somewhat weird about it. I though that was kind of funny. This book pretty much set up the story for the rest of the trilogy.
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Troy Duran and Aletha George. Troy Duran is one of my favorite male narrators. He has a super deep voice and is great at using different voices for different characters. He always does a terrific job. Aletha George has a great voice and is perfect for Paige.
3 stars Honestly I haven’t been so aggravated by a book in a long time. Now over all this was a pretty good book but, there were three things that put me off.
Number 1- What was up with her trusting everyone immediately? This was just extremely irresponsible! Even though we knew they were good guys I still wanted to smack some common scenes into her. Don’t talk to strangers!
Number 2-Insta-love and Insta-lust. I hate both of these things on a good day but when you also include that they’re fated mates... disappointment.
Number 3- finally the fact that all the guys are somehow magically bisexual? They went from having no desire for each other and being business partners, to having sex with each other. I just don’t understand. I am not against MM in reverse harem but I am against sudden sexuality changes in ALL THE CHARACTERS for no reason.
Finally I would like to close this review by saying, all these things are my personal opinions and preferences on what I like to see in books. This book would be amazing if you are into any of the things above.
I always really enjoy reading Lila Rose books. Her MC series are such good fun. I always devour them. When I saw that she had written a reverse harem (one of my favourite genres) under the name L Rose, I knew I had to read it.
Paige Alice used to be human, until she woke up clawing her way out of a grave. Since a hellhound brought her some human flesh to consume, she worked out that she was a ghoul. She carried on working as a barista and seeing her sister, her brother-in-law and her nephew and niece and tried to fit in learning how to survive with the aid of her trusted hellhound Ezra.
Then everything changed again when she met other supernaturals, Alex, a mage, Nate, a werewolf, Asher a vampire and Thorn another ghoul. It turns out she might be the new Queen of the ghouls and all the demons are after her for some reason.
This was a good fun read, full of interesting characters and plot aplenty. It also had several piping hot sex scenes. Be aware there are mm relationships in this books as well as mf and mfm. The author really thought through the supernatural political structure and unveiled it slowly throughout the book, but I know there is a lot more information to come.
The book does end on a bit of a cliffhanger, but it isn’t a major one. It does make me really want to read the next book though.
Not sure if A Torn Paige was supposed to be super funny but I honestly couldn't stop laughing while reading it. Maybe it's because of Paige and how awesome she is. Even if she gets herself into some awkward situations. I also really enjoy whenever someone was stupid enough to piss her off.
After all that brought me some joy into my life, I actually enjoyed all the drama in this book. I'm also happily waiting for everyone to bond and become mates. What I am not okay with is how this ended. Damn cliffhangers and what is happening to Ezra just breaks my heart. I can't wait for all the revenge to happen in the next book.
I'm also secretly hoping that Ezra is okay? Please please let my hellhound live because he was my favorite.
A reverse harem romance involving , that focuses on Paige Alice, who used to be human, until she woke up clawing her way out of a grave. Engulfed by a clawing pain only alleviated when a hellhound brought her some human flesh to consume, she worked out that she was a ghoul, but other than that knew nothing about the world she had been re-born into and her role in it. Trying to carry on as normal everything drastically changes when she encounters a demon and other supernatural; Alex - a mage, Nate - a werewolf, Asher - a vampire, and Thorn another ghoul. The night she meets them reveals that she is the new Queen of the ghouls, something not everyone is happy about.
I do have to say the pacing of this was a tad off, things happened too quickly, and the heroine’s calmness/acceptance of didn’t always feel realistic. Nonetheless, an entertaining one time read, that had me engaged, on a night when I couldn’t sleep.
4.5 Stars I have been in a RH kick for awhile. If I'm being honest I've not come across a lot of gems because more often than not the theme, plot and characters are just starting to seem repetitive and the story-lines are lacking excitement that new and untried ideas bring. Well I am so glad this book was none of those things and I devoured it in one sitting. I LOOOOVED IT. So original and different and with a female lead who takes no shit. The beginning was epic and I was sucked in right away. I've never (to my knowledge) read a story about a female ghoul Queen who has to survive on human flesh. Give me more lol. Better yet the author did not shy away when it came to Paige and her men. Unlike many other RH novels, Paige is dating all the men together. By that I mean, there's no question that group sex will be a large part of their relationship. None of them are skeeved by doing things together and in fact there was one HOT As SATANS Balls M/M action. I don't seek out MM books but when it's included in books like this I can't get enough. Paige's only response is anger and jealousy because she wasn't there to be included or watch. I love that. And trust me when I say this girl has no issue with speaking her mind. I mean what the hell is the point of dating five men and basically dating them all independently. That's not RH to me. This author is all about the love and I'm all for it. Paige clawed out of the ground some months ago and it's all been a learning curve for her since. She has little to no idea what she is and if it wasn't for her trusty sidekick AKA a hellhound, her survival up until this point is questionable. I loved that she has a hell hound and how protective Ezra was of her. And I mean come on, how cool is that to have your own hell hound, one who by all accounts has his own personality and can even change into other forms, like a regular dog to blend in or better yet change invisible. She has a gaggle of men who literally give up everything for her without even knowing her. Paige just has the personality and way about her that sucks you in and when she bypassed them while on a job they weren't able to hide their shock and the instant attraction. I am so looking forward to where the story goes. Having met her mates and now residing in her castle because oh yeah shes a Queen to boot, I have no idea what to expect next but I am so looking forward to it. My only complaint is the ending. My heart is broken in so many pieces I am hoping beyond all hope that things aren't as they appeared. I may have to live in a state of denial for a while but I'm hoping there will be a way to piece my heart back together. All I know is I won't be waiting long to dive back in to this series.
A Torn Paige has very formulaic reverse harem story but with an overdose of possessiveness and jealousy that moves towards the cringe category as the story moves forward.
I was really interested in seeing how things would play out with Paige being a ghoul but that doesn't translate into much other than eating human parts and being very powerful. Nothing different than the vamps, wolves or mages as paranormals. Shame. Paige and her harem as characters are very genre generic, something that's been seen over and over again. The chemistry and relationship that develops between Paige and her guys is very lust based. Then those lust based relations are moved towards the I-love-you-mate at lightening speed with the caveman/woman territorial "mine" proclamations every two seconds.
The story itself is very.. generic. Cookie cutter bad guys and evil council arc for the series that's going to be very predictable and with the bad guys behaving like middle schoolers it's not going to help elevate a very basic plot. As if the basic story wasn't enough, the author handholds everything for the readers. Paige gets a "feeling" the guys are good or she just knows when some side character is good or not. We don't get the liberty to form our opinions and discover these things with time and content. Everything is just told by the author. The only reason I want to continue on the next book is to learn about the hellhound.
It was going well. You got your typical reverse harem cast:
The heroine, Paige Vampire who loves her immediately and unconditionally, Asher Ghoul who worships and adores her Surly wolf who grunts and denies all emotions, Nate And shy Mage who almost seems virginal, Alex
Oh and let's not forget the heroine's devoted hellhound. He was the best character.
I enjoyed most of the story. Though I have to admit the heroine's jealousy and possessiveness got old. Like, just chill girl. Don't let them skanks get a rise out of you ;)
The part that ruined it for me was Nate and Alex's little side love. Don't get me wrong, that shit was hot. It's not that it's MM. It's that the heroine Paige was not involved in any way. It's Nate and Alex claiming each other regardless of what Paige may want or think. Nate's continued antagonism towards Paige further shows how they don't really care about her or really want her. Alex is too shy and immature to really know what he wants. So all that being said, I don't think this is considered reverse harem. Paige, Thorne and Asher, definitely. But Nate and Alex are a side love story.

OMG!! I enjoyed the hell out of this book... It was hot, sexy, and moved at a fast pace but damn entertaining. It also had the perfect ingredient, a badass heroine who didn't mind kicking a little ass when needed. Oh, don't get me started on the heroes... whew baby (fanning my self) they were smoking hot. Geesh the sex scene alone... Speechless!
Hate cliffhangers so this book loses a star but I can't wait to jump into book 2! Let's get this party started!!!
I'll be honest, I have no idea what to rate this since it's random smut I picked up because I liked the cover lol so I guess I won't. But it was pretty fun and quick to read and I was pleasantly surprised by the MM scenes/dynamics in this? Y'all know I like dat gay shit 👌🏼
What a great start to the series! I have to admit that the whole time I was really getting "Queen Takes Knights (Their Vampire Queen #1) by Joely Sue Burkhart" vibes. While this for sure lacks the blood stuff lol. The concept of finding the lost "Queen" was very similar. However the similarities stop there. Our FMC, Paige, was great. Funny, kind of a bad A, and always putting herself in awkward situations. Love, Loved her.
Paige wakes up one day after apparently dying and crawls herself out of a shallow grave to find herself completely changed. Now she must live off human flesh. She doesn't know what she is.. her only true friend is a beast named Ezra who has helped her since she emerged. Unfortunately the story kind of zooms ahead and we don't get to see the bond between Ezra and Paige grow as they tackle this new world together. Apparently he teaches her to feed and fight. Paige is further thrust into the unknown when a family dinner goes awry as a demon holds everyone hostage. She finds other super natural species and is soon to find the answers to all her questions. If only she could get control of her vagina which seems to have gone off the deep end. As Paige is revealed as Queen of the ghouls, she realizes right quick that she and her family are in super danger from the demons who have started being called to her through her power they must escape to her new kingdom. Paige learns really quick that while her kingdom looks great from the outside.. it seems to need a cleanup crew for the selfish and self serving. Putting things to rights is going to take a lot of work.. Luckily for her she is surrounded by all these hot dudes that her ghoul seems to have claimed for her own...
I loved where this seems to be heading but I'm super upset by that cliffhanger.. This can't be the end.. I'm diving right into book 2 asap because I can't stop here..
Lila Rose is a one click Author for me . She ALWAYS delivers, her stories are compelling no matter what Genre she writes in.
This story though.... A Torn Paige. I could not put it down. The very first page I was hooked and I wanted more, didn’t want it to end. I haven’t read a lot of Paranormal books but this one makes me want to read so much more .
Paige Alice ... I have a huge girl crush on this woman , she’s just MAGIC. I was enamored with every single thing about her . Then you meet her 4 men (yes!! I said 4 it was not a typo) and you will fall in love with them all .
This story leaves us on a cliffhanger but we don’t have to wait too long for the next one , I won’t say anything about what this book is about because you just have to experience the wonderful journey . Be ready to be taken on a roller coaster of exhilarating smoking hot paranormal madness. It’s delish !!!
It’s an interesting concept and I really liked the general theme of acceptance and loving whoever you like. However I do believe that the writing and plot is a little dis-jointed and could use another edit/proofread to tighten it up! The characters are also a little one dimensional and Cliched so I hope there’ll be some more character development and also some more world building in the next book.
Paige Alice & her mates Asher Evans, Nate Felan, Alex Smith, Thorn Jones
This book was not a lot and I don't really think I was hoping for more really. The writing style is nice, this series is nothing too complicated, the world is presented fast to Paige, and also she already is familiar with the supernatural part of the world even though she is not sure what to expect exactly.
This is a Reverse Harem series, which means that Paige will take all the four goodies boys in bed, and she will love them all. What I found very interesting is that also this series is, in my opinion from what I have read so far, a little heavy on MM too.
SPOILERS COMING: we have Alex & Nate going at it and Nate's wolf even claims Alex as his mate. Then after a few weeks or whatever time went on, Nate claims Thorn too! That is before he even claimed Paige, BUT I DON'T MIND AT ALL. I actually love it when there are MM scenes and the heroine is into that big time. There are twosomes, threesomes, and whateversomes.
Don't expect this book to be too heavy on plot or anything else. It is just full of love and sex really, but not too much in the beginning. It has one MM scene and one threesome somewhere at the end of the book, book 2 is heavier on this part.
I will rate this four stars because even though it is not a lot it is still good for what it offered.
I liked the beginning of this book, I could feel 5 stars, but then everything went south. She was a kickass, sassy, funny girl and then she met the guys. They were straight, badass, lawmen and then they met the girl.
All of a sudden everyone is all buddy buddy, even the ones that just met. All of a sudden everyone is lusting after everyone. Even those who have been team mates for decades and not once was there an inclination in that direction. How does meeting a girl turn straight men bi? And it irritated me that 2 of them slept with each other before her, it just felt wrong.
Ugh, I am so disappointed and irritated by the direction this book took.
Given how short this one is, I’m surprised it took me so long to get through it. I liked the beginning and the intro to the characters. I think it was the twist that put me off temporarily. A slightly off with their heads fmc, multiple POVs, possessiveness all around and heavy on the M/M. Should be fun.
Love this book and these characters and their world. Fated mates and lots of fun RH style. Great plot, premise, and enough royal drama to make me want to read the next book now. Recommend for those who love paranormal RH.
I loved the plot so much, it’s so interesting and I can’t wait to read more.
Paige is such a strong fmc, she made me laugh so much from her jealousy and possessiveness over the guys😭 I love her. I’ve never read a fantasy book with a girl who eats dead human flesh before but we roll.
THE GUYS OMG Asher- Vampire, he’s so so so hot. My favourite guy so far I think, I’ve always had a thing for vamps as well😏🫶🏻 Nate- Shifter, I loved his moodiness and his little arguments with Paige. Perfect match Alex- Mage, such a fucking cutie omg. He blushes at everything and he’s so shy🥺 Thorn- Ghoul like Paige. I loved him, he’s super patient with Paige and helping her get through everything.
AND GIRLS CAN I JUST SAY IF YOU LOVE MM LIKE ME THIS BOOK WILL HAVE YOU PANTING 😮💨
EVERY SINGLE GUY IN THE HAREM IS WILLING TO HAVE SOME MM TIME🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 I’m not even joking it’s so hot
The smut was a 10/10 I’m hoping for more scenes in the next book 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 I’m buddy reading this with one of my book besties and we just know this series is gonna have us in a chokehold🤤
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It came recommended from a friend and I’ll be honest that I was hesitant at first. I was afraid it would be much like other paranormal reverse harem books I have read but it was so much more.
I loved the different take on well known paranormals as well as adding some that you don’t see often. I can’t wait to see how this story progresses. Especially after my heart was ripped out at the end of this book.
