"You must marry a human female in two weeks, or return to Draconis and take the claw of Empress Horribus."
Bad boy dragon VP, Pyrochlore “Pyro” Onyx, would rather marry a hundred women than spend one second back on his home planet surrounded by stuffed shirts who look down on his family.
How hard can ensnaring a human bride be?
There's one intriguing female following him around right now, studying him through binoculars and licking her soft, kissable lips…
Starving student teacher Amy agreed to stalk the dangerous dragon shifter in exchange for free cookies, but the hardest part of her new duties is remembering that the panties-droppingly hot male is her enemy.
Especially when he whisks her to Vegas for one very indecent proposal.
Sure, she’s only one truant away from losing her internship, but putting her hands on the gorgeous, forbidden shifter muscles she's fantasized about from afar is so deliciously tempting…
This is a complete novel with a happy ending! It features steamy dragon shifter love scenes and a passionate teacher who can teach the bad boy a thing or two. Get abducted by this devilish dragon today!
Starla Night was born on a hot July at midnight. She hikes, scuba dives, and swims naked in the ocean. She writes about smoking-hot dragon-shifter billionaires and steamy alpha merman-shifters at StarlaNight.com.
The second oldest brother's countdown timer is now in effect. Poor dude either has to find a woman to marry or it's off to the Empress who may or may not bite off his arms or legs in anger. These female dragons are crazy. I was a bit mixed with Pyro at first because he is a bit too careless with his words. What I do like is his human interest, Amy. Amy is a teacher that I can admire because teaching is her passion. And she is amazing with her concepts and what she wants to teach children. I love it. We need more teachers like this.
This series is getting better with a 3.5 star for me as I felt the character development was a tad better and the world building is consistent. I am more engaged because I was vested in Pyro's clumsy wooing of Amy. Recommended to paranormal romance readers who love bad boys with good girls.
Amy is a substitute teacher at a private academy and she is doing everything in order to secure a position for the future, she let her roommate talk her into stalking a playboy dragon and she thinks she is an undercover agent but she has been busted big time because Pyrochlore as been looking at her all week just as she as been watching him he thinks she is like all the other women he has had sex with that they only want money and things but Amy is a good girl she has never done anything really wrong because her person have always been so hard on her about making the wrong decision but this time she is so taken with Pyro that she does what ever he asks of her and she ends up breaking into an office building that belongs to some other dragon corporation but Pyro just flies off and leaves her on her own to be confronted by Sard Carnelian from his very own planet that they have been having problems with since they came to earth. Pyro feels guilty and can't get Amy off his mind and he goes back to apologize and ask her to marry him because if he doesn't then he will have to marry the empress of Draconis and nobody wants that to happen so he is hoping Amy will cooperate. Great characters and story line. I was given a copy as a gift from the author. I am providing an honest review without obligation.
This is a wonderful read and a great addition to this series. This book gives us Pyro and Amy's story. I love the whole premise of this series. These are sexy, alpha dragons but on their home world females are the dominates and this adds so much uniqueness to their childhoods and what is also currently happening in their lives today on Earth. I loved Pyro but I must be honest, he had me wanting to hug and comfort him one moment and then shake him and give him a talking to about not letting the past define you and cutting off your nose to spit your face. He is sexy, charming bad boy that can also be undeniably sweet. But, he is also a hothead, that lets the pain and injustices he has suffered color everything in his life. Amy is a smart, talented teacher. She has been raised by her parents to avoid risks and always play it safe. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and I just loved how they made each other grow and improve themselves. The book is a blend of sweet tenderness, hot passion, drama, angst, danger and humor. Can be read as a standalone, but for full enjoyment and understanding of the underlying plot and all the secondary characters I do recommend reading the books in order. I'm posting a completely honest, voluntary review after reading this book.
I thought I enjoyed Mal's story, but Pyro kicked Mal right out of the #1 spot in a flurry of scales and fire! I got swept away by Pyro's seductive charm, his fiery passion, the way he sometimes lets his temper take control and the way he seemed to take charge and bring Amy such pleasure and happiness.
Starla Night's Dragon VIP series has taken over me in the VERY BEST WAY! This series is magical, has great sci-fy quality and some of the most gloriously delicious scenes that just seem to....pop for me. The way Amy seemed to have her eye on Pyro and the way he approaches her had my heart rate accelerating and my knees feeling all weak and gooey. And the way he is so persistent with her and seduces her kept me breathless. This romance is full of magic and is sexy, sweet, and irresistible. It has plenty of dragon adventure and just has so much great quality and is beautiful beyond words. I am already anticipating the next book in this series!
Dragon VIP: Pyrochlore gets a MAGICALLY SEDUCING, WILL LEAVE YOU HAPPY AND WITH A CONTENTED SIGH FIVE SHOOTING STARS!!
Amy is a grade school teacher assistant in a private school. She has been stalking Pyro for a week. While at a bar, he strolls up to talk to her. She realizes that she has been caught. He even knew that she had been doing it all week long. When Pryo asks her on a date, she agrees. But it ends up not being a real date, because he was using her to help break in to the warehouse of his competition in business. Pyro has been mistreated most of his life because he is of the lower caste of dragons. He doesn't trust anyone with the real him. He uses people and discards them before they can hurt him. The relationship between Pyro and Amy is fast because he needs to be married to a human or he will be shipped back to Draconia to mate with the Empress. It is also fraught with danger because of the way some humans look at alien/dragons. Pyro is the "bad boy" type. Can he change his ways and become a responsible member of society? I am excited about this series so far. It is a little different, but it sucks you in anyway.
I received an ARC edition of this book from the author.
I recommend you read Dragon VIP: Malachite, though this one might be okay as a standalone there are enough reference to the previous couple and I feel the other book offers a lot of setup information.
I liked this story, but I liked the 2nd half of the book a lot more than the 1st half. In the beginning I was really not a fan of the playboy Pyro and the way he acted with Amy. Amy also came across as a bit of a doormat in the beginning. But I felt like the more they were together the more their good traits came to the surface. I really ended up liking both Pyro and Amy (something I didn't think I would say in the first few chapters).
The story had a good flow. I really liked the plot with Sard Carnelian and I hope we will see more of him in the future books.
I am really looking forward to the next book in the series.
So, the book had some things going for it. I liked the dragons and their interesting but harsh culture. The world building seemed solid and the writing didn’t have glaring issues that jumped out at me.
Initially I even liked the story, but I disliked Amy. I was annoyed by all these little rules she made for herself and how they limited the ways she lived her life. Also, she whined, a lot. I didn’t feel a lot for Pyro, he has some decent backstory going, but even he did not engender much feeling from me.
The ending was strange. I’m unsure what the author was trying to achieve by all the talk of diversity, but the ‘lesson’ was done blatantly and kind of ham-fisted. Another odd thing was Amy continually going on and on about high quality education and reaching all kinds of children, but then she works at a fancy private school. Huh.
Curvy Amy Adamson is a trainee teacher at an exclusive school. She has worked hard to always be respectable and responsible so that she can get her dream job. Her best friend and flat mate has persuaded her to tell her all about the alien dragon that often comes to a bar in the area. Alien dragon shifter Pyro Onyx is in charge of the family business while his brother is on honeymoon. Unfortunately as the second son his mother is now pressuring him to marry or he will forced to marry the dragon Empress. He would much rather enjoy his life as a billionaire playboy. A very amusing paranormal romance with both of our lead characters having self esteem issues, but for totally different reasons. Lots of giggles and excitement. This is the second book in the series but can easily be read on it's own. I have read and loved both books. Nice lighthearted reading.
I enjoyed the large variety of characters, especially the Weredragons. I liked their humour, strong personalities and quirks. I enjoyed the sexy scenes, the on off romance and in jokes like the baking. At times I found the pace too slow, I didn't understand the lengthy scenes about lesson prep etc. And I found the plot too far fetched at times - like her parents history. Yes I know it's fiction, but when it takes you out of the story as you think that's ridiculous, it's annoying. I'm off to read the epilogue. Would I read another? Only time will tell.
Dragon VIP: Pyrochlore, Starla Night's 3rd book in the series 7 Virgin Brides for 7 Weredragon Billionaires, is another great addition to the series. It can also be read as a stand-alone book. Pyro definitely has a rough past that he needs to work through. Amy comes into the story fresh and innocent. The two of them have to work together to build a relationship. The storyline remains entertaining and fast-paced, filled with adventure, intrigue and romance. The characters continue to develop and become more endearing. Can't wait to see what happens next!
The second brother, Pyro, was next in line for a forced marriage to the Empress of he didn't find a human wife. Amy was a shy, introverted, intelligent elementary school teacher, and had been smothered by her well meaning parents for years. The following quote sums them up, but people can choose to change! "He was casual. Experienced. A real playboy. She was so shattered by one kiss she didn’t know if she’d ever recover." Loving the series so far.
This series continues to grab and keep my attention. The stories are well-written, logical (in a paranormal world), and encompassing the qualities the that interest me. I like compatible characters who work their way through difficulties, challenging circumstances, disagreements, etc. Somehow, they find common ground, romance(spicy, erotic), and become positive contributors in society! Enjoy!
Let me just say that you were taking too long to write this series and I would ask that you speed it up just a little bit.
This book had me from the start I laughed out loud, I chuckled in places, I even yelled at the female lead as she is just a little bit dorky. 😚
You have done a wonderful job with this story that's not to say they're were not some places in the story I felt that you left hanging and hopefully they will be addressed in another book as they involved some of the other characters. I will say that you offered a few surprises that I did not expect and they fit very well in the storyline . You still required the character to " grow up" and I use that term loosely as with this writing it's having the character make it commitment and stick to it without beating him over his head by having his female point out things that she found in him not as of negative feeling but as a I need to learn you or learn more about you scenario.
What a well written and entertaining story. His mom is determined they all are going to have children and be mated. He is determined not to. But he meets someone who gets him and gets too him also. It is exciting, fun, emotional, suspenseful and so much more. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Well written tale about someone everyone thinks will not live up to their expectations.
Pyrotechnic goes to jail a lot. He misses meetings and expects horrible treatment from females. She is a teacher who doesn't live life outside the box her family put her in. Together they break through to each other.
Amy and Pyro are fun to read about. I really enjoyed this book. The characters are very interesting. The storyline keeps the reader engaged to the very end. I can not wait to see what happens to the other brothers in future books.
Very good story. Well written with believable characters and events. I'm beginning to feel bad for the remaining brothers and sister. They're Mother is a real piece of work. Mal and Pyro are very fortunate that they have strong loving human mates. You deserve
Liked this book better than the first one. There were still some grammar issues that were distracting but the storyline was really good. My only other complaint would be that I wanted more emotional connections. They never said the Love and it bothers me.
I am so very taken with this series. Starla has an excellent imagination and it gives me extreme joy to be able to read her work. Thanks keep writing and I will continue to read. Be Blessed . Doris
I loved the fact that most of the drama in this book was about Pyro coming to grips with himself. His past as well as Amys made for an emotional ride leading to some sexy moments that taught them to love and trust.
I enjoyed the first book in the series, but I am getting more familiar with the author and fell in love with the second book. The MMC and the FMC had confusions (as to be expected), but I liked how it all worked out. The story was amazing and I can't wait to start on the next book.
I love that he brought her out of her shell and she made him realize he could do better. And they had a lot less miscommunication than the last pair LOL
