This was very ridiculous in the best way possible. There was one spelling/word mistake, but other than that it was well written.

Eva is bold, bubbly and sparkly while Syen is quiet and grumpy. But Syen is a dragon shifter and not used to human females all that much, so when he meets her and wants to get to know her better he's not exactly sure how to do that. Especially since he's been told all his life that his scale color and eye color are disgusting. I hated the other dragon shifters that did that to him and made him believe he was less than because of his coloring.
Eva thinks he's hot and once she see's his coloring, she likes all of him. He's not used to be accepted so he doesn't know whether to believe her right away but she's being completely honest with him. These two were wanting to take things slowly and get to know each other even though he knows that she's his mate and feels the bond because of that. But then danger comes at the both of them and Eva has to make a choice. It was a hard choice at first but when she sees what's at stake, she pulls her big girl pants up and stakes her claim and makes her choice known to his people in a big way. I love her for what she said about him and how her love made him feel accepted for once in his life.
This was such a feel good story and Eva's bubbly personality was just what Syen needed to bring him out of his shell. I'll definitely be reading more of this series in the future.

This is a newly expanded version of this book. It offers many new scenes, some scenes that have been altered, and Eva's POV has been added. I absolutely adored Syen and Eva! These characters were just perfect for each other. Both of them suffer from fears, insecurities, and body issues. Syen is so sexy, strong, and stoic. After being ridiculed and looked down upon due to his coloring all his life and then the shame of his family's disgrace and loss of position, he feels completely unworthy and the idea never crosses his mind that any female could be interested in him. Eva has heard too many times that she is too big, too tall, and too colorful, so she also feels that love will never find her. When these two meet sparks fly and there is such sweetness and tenderness between them. Your heart will ache for them as they struggle past their preconceived notions of the other, try to overcome their shyness, and risk their hearts for the love they desperately want and deserve. A beautiful, steamy, heart melting, and emotional romance. A wonderful book in a amazing series. I'm posting a completely voluntary, honest, review.

Syenite is SO SOOOOO SOOOOOOOOO SEXY! I LOVED this book when it was a newsletter short story, but as a revised novella I found it even BETTER! I liked Eva a lot. She is a colorful, bright, smart curvy woman that seemed to take life by the horns and Syenite..he was such a beautiful, sometimes silent, mysterious dragon as he did his job and pursued Eva.
Syenite is loaded with ALL the goodness: lots of sparkly, sweet personalities, some light push and pull, some action that keeps you on your toes and a irresistible plot that easily makes me smile and sigh. Of course I always feel happy and feel bright when reading ANY story from Miss Starla Night. Her words remind me of rainbows and unicorns. They are soft, sweet, delectable and will make all your childhood dreams come to life. Its beautiful and passionate, whats not to love about that!
Dragon VIP: Syenite gets ALL THE STARS IN THE SKY! Or at least I WOULD give that rating if it was allowed...since that doesn't make too much sense, I will go with giving it a STUNNING FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

Weredragon bodyguard Syenite is not thinking about anything but his job but when Eva comes up to him and ask for a date for her birthday he thought he hit the jackpot because he never thought she didn't realize he was a dragon but when she did find out she and Syne were like they both came out of their shells and opened up like to beautiful flowers opening up under the morning sunshine. Syne had never thought to put anyone before his job but he learned fast and he would do anything for Eva as she would for him. Eva realized fast that she would have the talking in the relationship because didn't talk much she found this fine man and she didn't want to do anything to loose him before they really got to know each other but she had to keep in mind that when his boss calls him he has to go immediately. They have to go through some rough situations, but a girl has to do what she has to do to get her man and Eva has already made up her mind.

May 18, 2020This was an interesting read. Eva really puts herself out there. You can feel her inter struggle and the choices she makes are at times hard. Syen, what can you say about a dragon from another planet that has no idea how Earth women talk or act. He was such a refreshing character. So innocent and naive that it takes Eva awhile to figure that out as well. Things are a little rushed in this short read, it would have benefited with a few more pages. I loved how Eva stood up to Ruby and the outcome of that situation. I am not a fan of short books but I may have to read the rest of the Carnelian Dragons books since I did really like this one.

Just finished this cute Romance story about two who are drawn together like magnets but achingly shy when it comes to the opposite sex. There is also a communication barrier, because their cultures are so different. Love and kindness saves the day along with the realization that everyone sees themselves lacking in someway. A truly charming story that has hot moments also.
I look forward to visiting Ms. Night's version of Earth again.

I received an ARC edition of this book from the author.
I had already read books 1-3 in the series before reading this prequel. Although this story comes first in the time-line, it does not need to be read first (I would actually recommend reading Malachite first to get a better understanding of Dragons on Earth).
I had already met Syen from the other books, but this story gives me a greater appreciation for his character. Eva is perfect for Syen, she sees beyond the surface to the beauty beneath, and I love her sparkles.

He is an alien dragon who is a body guard to a head of a alien clothing maker. He wants a mate badly but doesn't think he deserves one for several reasons. He sees a man humiliating her and when she goes to leave drops her ID. He goes after her and things go from there. Being an alien he doesn't understand everything and that has to be taken care of. This is sweet, emotional, exciting and so much more. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

I could’ve cried!
This book totally tugged on the heartstrings. syen has been rejected and told he’s ugly and unworthy his entire life. When he meets a sparkly, sweet and beautiful human female he can’t believe she will want anything to do with him, an unworthy male.
Her acceptance and his hungry response to it made me want to bawl. All the swooning! And such a sweet smexy moments. This book would get 10 stars if I could give them.

I love glitter, sexy dragons shifters, male characters who lack confidence and are a bit shy. The novel Syenite held all that plus humour.
This excerpt also shows that this novel is more than just fluffy.

This book was good. This is about Syenite, bodyguard for the Carnelian Dragons, and he thinks he is horribly disfigured, according to Carnelian standards. He meets up with Evalina, who helps him to accept himself and get more confidence, etc. She is his mate but she doesn't really think that. There are people out there that will put Evalina in danger because of him. Some suspense but story flows well. Recommend.

Fun read
Okay this was just a fun fast read. I am a big girl and to know that there is someone that will love and accept me makes the dream true. This book shows the insecurities about people. And makes them rise above those same insecurities to give them the ability to fall in love. If nothing else this is just a fun read.

Loved It
Two outcasts meet in a bar and fine that they are perfect for each other. Totally enjoyed this book and so will anyone who ever felt like they didn't fit in. There is humor and a deep insight into insecurity but a happy ending for the couple. Great job to the author. I will be looking for the rest of the series!

First of the he Carnelian Dragon books and it pulls you into the romance.
She is considered to colorful by most males that meet her. To tall, to big, to loud but all he sees is beauty unlike his own. He is considered dull and gray by his kind but she can't believe he wants her. They stumble through a few misunderstandings to reach their HEA.

I love these books they are happy and funny . I love her take on Dragon shifters it is quite unique. The only thing I can say is they are a little expensive for such short novellas . I also wish they were longer.

Dragon VIP: Syenite, Starla Night's 7th book in the series 7 Virgin Brides for 7 Weredragon Billionaires, is a semi-short story of trust and acceptance. Syen and Eva both need to learn to accept themselves before they can begin to accept the love of others.

In the eyes of the rains Syenisugly and unworthy. In Eva’s eyes she is less than any many would want. When these two come together it is a beautiful love story of acceptance and faith in one another. I loved this book.

Cute story of two people who both have let themselves believe they are unworthy. The plot is a little contrived and requires some jumps of credibility (e.g., sudden total reversals of beliefs). It's a short story, but has enough character development to get you to know Syen and Eva quite well.

Okay, this book explained how Syen met his girlfriend and showed how she stood up for their love. How everyone can be insecure and not realize how much they are valued by another person. I absolutely loved it!!!!

Short and sweet. This is the first one I’ve read in this series. I am reading this series in the “suggested” reading order so this was a splash into the universe. I will say Syen is so awkwardly sweet and Eva is someone who I think a lot of us can relate to.

Definitely a vibes read. Its pretty ridiculous. I wish it chose a lane; dragons or aliens. If I didn't get sucked into the Instagram ad to buy the entire series, I probably wouldn't continue with the other books. But this lady is no quiter, and I already bought the whole series so onward I go.
