Grabbed this as a freebie from the author. What a great short story read. It’s short enough to read on your lunch break, long enough that your not left wanting more, Spivey enough you need to make sure your boss dosnt read over your shoulder and captivating enough to make you forget your at work. Only issue is, it’s so good you end up buying the next book lol
The POV jumps drastically making it somewhat hard to follow. I feel like the persona of the main character didn't flow through the story, which was odd considering how short the story is. The story itself had good bones with the pact and the goal, but the execution left a lot to be desired.
This book took all of about 15-20 minutes to read, was full of typos, missing words, and punctuation, and above all had no plot. It read more like a brief dream sequence than an actual book.
It wasn’t good. There’s typos, the conversations felt stiff, and there were changes in the POV from third to first person in a couple sentences that threw me off. It’s not even that steamy.
It's a cute short read. Michelle and Ben wanted each other. Michelle's pact with her friend Lena gives her the confidence to move forward with this. Happy endings!
