EZRA FIELDS IS A FIREFIGHTER AND SINGLE DAD. Spending his days fighting flames in Nashville, TN, his best nights are spent at home with his favorite girl—his daughter, Livie. With no time for distractions, he has no room in his life for other females—not even a sassy blonde-haired beauty and the first woman to spark his interest in years. Ezra doesn’t have the time to get involved. So, he walks away without getting her name, or giving his…

HANNA HAS NO INTEREST IN SETTLING DOWN. She can’t even commit to a hair color, an address to call home, or a man. Too busy with her career as a traveling nurse, a relationship is the last thing she needs or wants. So, it’s inconvenient when she falls—literally—for the one person as uninterested in love as she is. At least that’s what she’ll keep telling herself.

Will a spark turn into a wildfire, or will their love go down in flames?

Burning Love can be read as a standalone, has steamy scenes and an HEA.

Her job as a traveling nurse kept Hanna from making any commitments. She did not want to end up with a broken marriage, like her parents. Ezra, was a widower trying to raise his daughter on his own while working as a fireman. He buried himself in his work and caring for his little girl so that he wouldn’t have to risk losing his heart again. That’s the funny thing about hearts though, sometimes they just want who they want. After their first meeting, there is a spark that just can’t be denied, but will it be enough to overcome all of the obstacles in their way. Hanna is scared, and somewhat insecure about being good enough to be in Ezra and his daughter’s life. Plus, they only have a few weeks before she leaves again on assignment. Will that be long enough for Ezra to make her see that they deserve a chance? Also, can Ezra learn to trust another woman with his baby girl? There is a point in this story where one of the characters goes to do something and I was just pleading with them to stop, because you just know that it’s not going to end well. That scene made me cry a little because I felt so bad for them. Anyways, never fear. The author finds a beautiful way to wrap up the story that will leave you smiling! This is a wonderful story about forgiveness, letting go of the past, and being brave enough to let someone into your heart. I can’t wait to read what’s next from Jacie Lennon! I literally just finished this book moments ago and had to come here to scream from the rooftops- read this book! Jacie Lennon's debut knocked it out of the ballpark. It is packed full of warm fuzzy feels, heart-tugging scenes, steamy fun, and laugh out loud moments. I loved, loved, loved this book. Jacie has a knack for beautiful prose, making reading this book as swoon-worthy as the storyline itself.

Cute and sweet with sprinkles of humor and just a dash of heavy, Burning Love is a recipe for romance that will sweep you off your feet. Hanna and Ezra have an absolutely adorable story that I found myself quickly lost in. These two just pour sweetness on practically every page.
Let’s be real here, Ezra is a super sweet, firefighter, single dad...no one can resist that. He’s all the things you swoon over in a book boyfriend in one package. And Hanna? She’s fun, down to earth and a total sweetheart herself. There’s no way to read this and not fall in love with these two!

This is a story about a nurse who doesn’t believe in true love and always runs from any chance of relationships and a firefighter who already loss the love of his life and is busy raising his daughter. When these two meet they feel a strong connection but because of their pasts they keep fighting the pull to let themselves fall in love. The story will be hard to put down and will take you through all the emotions. This is a new author but this book is a winner❤️

I wasn’t sure what to expect and I was lucky enough to be given an ARC, to which I was so grateful
I love a book where the Hero knows straight away what he wants and likes and Ezra does
Just the name Ezra had me all ready to go
Hanna just had to have “ a leap of faith”
The way Jackie Lennon has our heroine question how she feels and why she denies herself having relationships with anyone let alone Men, is well described and I started to feel the anxiety and angst that Hanna had built up inside of her from her parents.
This doesn’t stop Ezra from trying and keep trying when he thinks he has blown it. The first big step after losing his wife and how he was never really interested until the fateful day he literally “ came across Emma” when he rescues her whilst doing his job as a firefighter.
Fate stepped in with a little help from Ezra’s mum.
Of all the characters in this book I loved Ezra’s Mum
Her little bits of input and love for her son and his daughter made me smile and sigh.
I’m looking forward to the next book in the series and wish Ms Lennon all the best with the release of Burning Love
Who doesn’t love a firefighter and a single dad. 🥰

I was fortunate enough to beta read this story and found it very enjoyable.

As a traveling nurse, Hannah lives her life bouncing from place to place, which isn't the ideal match for a single dad with a daughter looking to give her a stable life. He checks all the boxes for a hunky romantic hero. Can the hot firefighter and nurse make this work?

They have amazing chemistry and there are some hot scenes. My favorite so far is where other writers would have ended the story, Ms. Lennon throws in a little twist that I appreciate.

I cannot wait to see what's next from this exciting new author.

I was giving the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book. I couldn't put it down! I absolutely loved it. I loved the chemistry between Ezra and Hanna. They both had so much depth and complimented each other wonderfully.
This book is well written and so easy to get lost in.
I will definitely be reading more from this author.

This is the 1st book in a new series from this author, and is Ezra and Hanna’s story. Ezra is a single dad and a fire-fighter, and Hanna is a travelling nurse. Neither of these characters is looking for a relationship, but the chemistry between them is off the charts. This is a beautifully written story which is emotional and steamy. I recommend for all.

Confession time--I don't know how I got this book. I don't know how long I have had this book. I am so happy that I found it floating on my kindle. I am even happier that I read it.

So many romance novels are over the top, super mushy and unbelievable lately. Burning Love was none of these.

It was a romance with feeling. It was a romance that had me wanting to be part of the story. It was a romance that had me crying. It was a romance that had me laughing. It was a romance that had me cheering at the perfect ending.

I am a sucker for a firefighter. Add a single dad in the mix and this was almost perfect. There were a few areas I wanted more from but this still turned out to exceed my expectations from a new to me author.

Okay read

Light and fluffy type of romance and although a bit of angst in it, it felt like a book for the beach or chilling on an afternoon.

I really enjoyed Burning Love by the talented Jacie Lennon, and yes, the series name of Slow Burn is definitely perfect to describe this experience for real. Like, it was so frustrating, which had me ready to choke people out. Ezra Fields has known a great tragedy in his life, and now he's a single father who doesn't believe he'll ever have another great love in his life, so he spends all of his working as a firefighter, and spends the rest of his time with his precious tiny human. Then there's Hanna, who has no reason to ever settle down, so she works as a traveling nurse in order to not have to put down roots anywhere. While I loved her, she made me crazy throughout this story, as she's the biggest issue in the push & pull crap. Ezra first comes across Hanna when he saves her in a fire. See, her neighbor tried to burn down the apartment building. And I'm not going to lie, their first meeting was hilarious because Hanna happened to knock herself out while trying to pull up yoga pants, so she's unconscious on the floor with her yoga pants down at her ankles, while her granny panties are on display. Anyway, they have a very potent attraction, as the chemistry is throwing out sparks everywhere, and Ezra realizes that he needs to get back out there when he finally had some interest in another female. This is where the push & pull comes in. Hanna goes back & forth and forth & back about spending time with him, because she keeps reminding them both that she's leaving and that's that. This is when Hanna lost her shine for me, because he's perfect for her, but she's so set on leaving (she's seriously a flight risk), that she's willing to throw away her lobster. And that's all that I'm going to say, because frankly, I actually typed too much already. So,, does Hanna still leave at the end of her 3 month contract in Nashville?! And does Ezra get her to realize that they're perfect together? One click this hot story starring a super hot firefighter immediately. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Embers burn bright between hot firefighter, single dad & prone to wander, travel nurse

Jacie Lennon’s debut novel, Burning Love, is the heartwarming cookie you didn’t know you needed in your life until you take your first bite & all your troubles melt away under a haze of love & warmth.

Hanna & Ezra meet through a series of fateful encounters and its lust at first sight for them both. But while Ezra knows deep love & stability, Hanna’s life has been full of being made to feel inadequate and unloved by family & those who should care most. She can’t bear to put her heart out there & instead ops for casual, fleeting pleasure without the headache & heartache of emotions. Ezra lost his wife several years ago & doesn’t think he’ll ever find love again. But these chance encounters leave Ezra’s heart & body feeling alive for the first time in years. Can Ezra convince Hanna that she’s not like her cruel mother? Is Hanna willing to work through heartache to give them a chance?

When life throws this couple a curve ball, will the couple’s fragile relationship survive or is Hanna destined to be alone?

***

I fell hard for Ezra - hot fireman & great dad? Perfection with those gorgeous green eyes.

I felt Hanna’s emotions were so real! Jacie Lennon definitely knows how to pull on your heartstrings & have you coming back for more!

Ezra and Hanna meet when her neighbor’s apartment catches fire. In a hurry to get out Hanna trips putting pants on bumps her head knocking herself out. Ezra finds her and gets her out. They meet again when Ezra’s daughter is taken to the hospital when she hurts herself.

Hanna is a runner. She doesn’t stay in one place long enough to create attachments or relationships. She grew up in a turmoil filled house. Her parents were always fighting and her mother is a nightmare. Ezra had a good childhood. He’s a widower and loved his dead wife with all his heart. He’s been grieving her for the last two years. Hanna and Ezra have a connection. Ezra convinces her to have a “non” date. He’s hoping that he can convince Hanna to stop running forever. Hanna has it bad for Ezra but she’s scared to stop running, especially for a single dad with an adorable little girl who is so easy to love.

I loved this book. It checked all my boxes for a great book. It’s well written with a good story that flows well. The characters are enjoyable. If a book can make me laugh, cry and smile it generally ends up on my favorite list. I can’t wait for book two in the series.

A phenomenal story of forgiveness and throwing out old bragging that's holding you back. Free to live, laugh & fall in love!

Hannah knows what she doesn't want to repeat her mother's & fathers disastrous marriage. Not to mention the mother & daughter horrific relationships. Sins of the parents can be handed down unless you recognize & stop it! Hannah a traveling nurse with no roots & huge walls - don't let anyone in.She has her BFF Jules and thankful she tells it like it is. Ezra is a single Dad that is sick of people telling him to h be forward/move on. His daughter Movie is the light of his life. He is a firefighter and the woman he rescues is the one he can't shake from his mind. The baggage they both work through could absolutely benefit us all - face facts (your side, their side & facts - perspective makes all the difference), communication (talk & listen - speak your mind and he strong enough to listen), forgiveness ( really helps you , anger can consume you). Great book for anyone/everyone. Especially a love & loss situation. V0, S2

This was my first time reading a book by this author and it was such an awesome read! The plot, story, characters and word usage caught me and I couldn't put it down. Ezra and Hanna were awesome together. Ezra's a firefighter taking care of his daughter and has buried him self in work not wanting to risk his heart again. Hanna is a traveling nurse which kept her from making any commitments not wanting to end up with a broken marriage. They have lots of sparks when they meet and have obstacles to over come but will they see a way to be together? Will the get their HEA? I LOVED Erza's mum! This book had laugh out loud moments with lots of warm heart tugging times and I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book!!!! I highly recommend this book and can't wait to see more form this author!!!

This is the first book that I have read from this writer. Wow. This was intense, lovable and down right enjoyable. Hanna lived a rough childhood. Because of her childhood she doesn't do love. She has a hard time seeing herself long term with someone. She decided to be a traveling nurse so that she wouldn't have to settle in one place for very long. While in Nashville she gets rescued by a firefighter named Ezra who changes her life. At first they are just friends. But things start to change and it scares them both. Will they realize what is right in front of them before it is to late? I loved this one. I absolutely loved the storyline and the characters. It is a well written enjoyable story from beginning to end. It hooked me and had me wanting more. I cant wait to read the next one in this series.

This Girl/Book is on Fire!!!

What do you get when you have a jaded girl and a hot fireman? Well you get an awesome book that you might need a cold shower or your own fire extinguisher to put out the sparks and flames these two main characters are throwing off.

Run or take a chance? That’s this main character’s choices when she meets a hot fireman by chance not once but twice. Sometimes it might just be worth putting up your running shoes and slow down to enjoy life.

This is a new to me author but I will definitely be following her book journey and can NOT wait to see what comes next. I was in an adult contemporary funk but the way this author makes her characters and their situation able to relate to I’m definitely happy to be reading again. This is one series you will want to jump on.

One of my favorite things about this book is the fact that it was so real. I think it is a true depiction of the fact that not everyone is looking to fall in love and get married. Or that they have reasons to not think it is what they want. I feel to it is accurate that you can change your mind but that you have to make sure that you can understand and love yourself before having that with someone else.

The story was so well written and beautiful. It brought a few tears to my eyes. It had quite a few surprises in it and it makes your heart break a little and then get put back together. When a story can do that and make a character or two turn themselves around it gives you hope.

A story like no other I have read recently and for that I am blessed to have read it.
