Enter Into Valhalla - a review by Rosemary Kenny

The Empress, the Queen Bitch - Bethany Anne, lawgiver and justice server has new allies, the Leath, who are being supported on her behalf by Lance Reynolds. As so often before, BA, husband Michael and her family ,plus her Team, must repel enemies, the Ooken before they and their evil masters the Kurtherians can imperil the  lives and safety of Alliance dependents everywhere in the KU.
Running the whole gamut of emotions from love and loyalty to treachery and hate and much more, Michael Anderle's 6th novel in the Kurtherian Endgame series, Enter Into Valhalla will keep you on the edge of your seat, as the action never stops. Grab a copy as soon as you can - you won't want to miss this great book!

More Action in Part 6

One of my complaints about book 5 was that there was less action for the first half of the book. Hate to say it but the twins slow BA down. Being put in the pod doc allowed her to be more bada$$ in part six. Hope the mini series for the twins is action packed.

No other spoilers from me. Ready for Endgame 7.

BA is back...

...and she’s NOT happy! Bethany Anne is fed up with the Seven and is taking action to eradicate them. This story is full of emotion, and is as captivating as the previous books; if not more so.

There’s a huge cast of characters spawning from when Michael first took Bethany Anne to TOM to be enhanced. It is awesome how the main characters are kept in the story without overwhelming it with inanities: a true talent.

Another excellent instalment, and we see Bethany Anne come closer to wiping the Seven out of existence.

Enter into Valhalla

As usual, Michael brings us an awesome tale of a legendary badass BA who gathers her close friends and family, who haven't been together for a very long time, and announces a shift in strategy. No more nice Empress. It's time to take the fight to her enemies. There ensues catching up with loved ones, much action, several hard fights, and sad tears. You don't want to miss this one.

Wow!

As usual, with any book involving Bethany Anne, this was a fast paced, lose your breath at the speed of light, crazy roller coaster of a ride.

It was wonderful to get fully immersed in this story, especially as BA and Michael had called all of their surviving friends and family together, which meant that I got to visit with some of my favourite characters again.

But, what set this book apart from the previous book in this series, was the way in which the plotline was bringing the reader ever closer to those who have been behind the Kurtherian attacks.

Seeing BA in all her Empress glory was wonderful, especially when she did her trick with the ether storm, but my favourite moments were when she was simply being a Mother, and a Wife.

Having been both, I could totally relate to her concerns for the twins, and just how fast they were being forced to grow up, and then trying to find some one on one time with the love of her life - but, also, having the need to be everything to everyone - my heart ached for her.

But, Addix! I cried.

For someone who used to be terrified if spiders, I found her character to be amazingly loyal, loving, protective, and kick ass amazing, and I'm really going to miss her.

One thing I did when I finished reading, was look up the name of the Kurtherian behind the attacks. It was mentioned that it was a human name, so I decided to see what came up - and this is what I found:

Gödel, Kurt:
By the age of 25, Kurt Gödel had produced his famous “Incompleteness Theorems.” His fundamental results showed that in any consistent axiomatic mathematical system there are propositions that cannot be proved or disproved within the system and that the consistency of the axioms themselves cannot be proved.

This all looks wonderful, and very science-y, but I must admit, I haven't got a clue how it fits in with the plot so far - or if I have even found the right Gödel! Lol

Anyway, as I always do, I checked to see what book I should be reading next, and it turns out it's book 6.5 in this series: Keep Your Friends Close.

I guess this is a shorter add-on, so I don't know how long it'll take to read, but I guess, as its now almost quarter past one in the morning already, I guess I'll be leaving it to read in the morning - and that will give me a little time to process this book's details a little longer!

Finally got me.

After reading the entire Kutherian Gambit & the first 5 books of the K Endgame, reading the author's notes as well as watching the style enlarge with the addition of additional author's ghosting input along with El Leigh's named books I have finally succumbed to the plea for reviews "if we liked it.". He'll yeah! More than space opera or Kornbluth monsters the pulp writers of the ' 40's and '50's (who I spent most of my class time in high school reading) would be proud to see what their oevre is becoming. Congratulations to all involved and a recommendation to anyone who enjoys thoughtful memes as well as kick-ass heroes along with slimy antagonists. READ THESE BOOKS. ENJOY THEM. RECOMMEND THEM.

Goodbye Addix

Those damn Kurtherians! Every time you think there will be a break in the action long enough to get some back story on a few things…pow. Here come the stupid Ookans again.
I somehow missed Anne going missing along with Nio, I missed Nikki getting mangled somewhere along the line.
And now we have one Kurtherian that has the remaining clans under its thumb, doing its utmost to rid itself of the burr under his saddle that is known as Bethany Anne Reynolds Nacht. AKA The Queen Bitch, The Emperess, Baba Yaga, and/or Death. They better hold onto their shorts is all I have to say. The death of Addix was the last straw. She will find Gören…

A keep you up all night book

Well, I think I need to change my reading habits... starting a book just before bedtime is not a good idea, especially Kutherian Gambit books. They are very hard to put down until finished and this book is no exception.
Fast paced, loads of heart pulsating action and brilliant growth in characters makes this a brilliant book to read.

Upping the game

This KU library selection is another step closer to finding the seven, but just as Bethany Anne has changed, so have the Kurtherians. And now they are coming for BA. This has been a great series and I'm looking forward to filling in gaps by reading the side stories at some point. But for now, book seven is up next.

Holy Cow

Michael Anderle should give all of us warnings for the cliffhangers he leaves at the end of his books. The book itself is full of action, heroics, major scares and a bit of sadness. All of this is leading up to an amazing story to come I am sure. Keep reading my friends and don't forget the authors notes. Enjoy!

Audiobook review: Great story. Plenty of action. Nice to see many of the beloved characters. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene.

Not much to say!

Why not much to say? Well, I just love BA and I want to see her defeat the Kurtherians and find a way back to Earth. But will she, or any of the others, recognize her planet when she gets there? We can only wait and see.

Still grinding on

Even as Bethany Anne learns new Etheric skills their Kutherian foes make them suffer from several significant losses. However, this gives yet more will to fight on.

Good book, could’ve been better. Didn’t like the ending.

Unfortunately I could only give this book a three star rating when I have reviewed Michael’s books I have given them high ratings. Unfortunately this book Telegraph what the ending would be halfway through the book. And I don’t like books that lose major characters at least I consider the character lost in this book a major character and I think the loss of her or him was a waste. Second of all in the list of characters it has Gabrielle listed as in advanced superhuman as well as Jean Dukes, but the bitches are not? I would think a character like BA would have all her Frontline characters as super advanced humans so what happened to the character in this book would not happen to any others. Yes war is bad and people get killed and that’s the reason for all her frontline fighters to be able to take care of themselves no matter what they wish. It was explained that this particular character did not want any further enhancements. When you’re in a military group you don’t get to say what you want you just get to do what they tell you to do. I don’t like sad endings and I don’t like a character who does not do her all to protect her family and friends as she states. After all she’s giving her family the best of the best so why should not that be done with the rest of her extended family.

Write faster please 😼 I'm catching up to you!!!

I started reading the KGU in February 2018, when I saw an add for the Feisty Druid. I like to check if all the books in a series are out before Bing reading. I was ASTOUNDED when I discovered the gold mine I had stumbled upon!!! This has been one Hell of an adventure!!! Finally the depth and breadth I have always wanted!!! What you have created, Michael Anderle, is so much more than a story!!! I love how you've brought so many people, not only just great storytellers, together and formed an amazing network where you all support each other, helping every one to succeed!!! And the way y'all have brought the readers into the family is heartwarming, to say the least!!! Thank you so much! Not only did you give me an exciting adventure, but a whole new list of authors and their tales to explore!!! So, please, write faster, all of you, now that I'm catching up!!! I like to finish a series before I move on to another 😼💕👽

The name says it all.

A warrior has to die to enter Valhalla. This book has a lot of action on multiple planes. Our heroes are pulling together the information needed to end the Ooken threat. Hang on this bumpy ride just shot off the rails.

I gave the book 4stars because it involves BA who started me down this journey, but as much as I like
BA I feel that the plots have become mundane and repetitive.

That is the same reason I stopped reading the spinoff series over a year or so ago.
Never bothered picking up the space oriented novels/series which were based on the previous
earthbound characters Valerie, Henry Walton, Tabitha, Barnabas etc after being very disappointed
with the development/progression of the Ascension Myth series

Exciting entry in this continuing series

Many things happen in this edition of the tale of the search for the Seven. The Ooken continue to threaten the galaxy as the Kurtherian's pawns. New weapons, betrayals, and alliances all play their part in this unending battle to prevent a takeover by the Kurtherians. Read how BA, Michael, and their friends refuse to give up in their quest to remain free. You won't regret reading this one! I especially love that so many old friends have come back to be together in this fight.

At Last, My BA Fix

BA is back and she is very annoyed. She no longer cares if anyone notices the Empress is back or not. It's time to bulldoze obstacles in her path so that she can protect those she cares about. It was nice to experience the lives of the many characters in the series. I like the action, snarky humor, and romance. The emotion of the characters is palpable. I look forward to the next book.
