😍

I really needed a good romantic diversion and this book delivered. I loved both Colin and Josie. They were both so easy to root for. You will love to hate Josie's Cinderella inspired step family. They are horrible but provide the perfect way for Josie and Colin to come closer together. I love the whole fake to real stories and this a fun one. Things got real pretty quickly for both Josie and Colin and that song? 😍 So sweet, so romantic. And as per usual, I love the cover. This author has the best original covers!!

Did anyone else get really excited when they learned that there was another book in the Georgia Moon Romance series? I know I did! I saw those shoes and the title and may have grinned really big and giggled a little. I couldn't help myself. I was completely hooked while reading the previous three books. I loved the characters. I loved the setting. And the chemistry and romance were quite catchy too! One aspect that I really enjoyed about this book was being whisked right back to this fun southern charm story and being able to see the main characters from the previous books still living their happily ever after. That's one of my favorite parts of reading series is still getting to see characters that I love and continuing to learn what's going on in their lives past the end of their book. I know they're fictional, but I just can't help but cheer for them and become invested in them.

Josie and Collin were such a fun couple to read about. They're both in a bit of a pickle, or conundrum and need some saving. When Josie's awesome and fun boss comes to the rescue with a solution that neither of them saw coming they might just have the answer they need. I love a good fake boyfriend/girlfriend/fiance/fiancee story and this one was fantastic! I needed a good diversion from life right now and I loved my time spent turning these pages and diving into Josie and Collin's lives. I laughed, I swooned and I might have even cried just a little (shhh...don't tell)!

Their first meeting...Cracked. Me. Up! Oh Josie. I couldn't imagine. Hee Hee! You'll have to read it to know how it all goes down. Literally.

If you haven't figured it out, this story is a little Cinderella-esque. I loved how the author wrote it and made it her own. And the step mother and step sister...ugh. Did not like them at all. Of course that's the point. So the author nailed it there! Way to go Cindy Roland Anderson! Thanks for keeping me entertained and giving me an escape from the ups and downs of life right now.

I'm sitting here thinking about the different scenes and thinking if I should mention one or two of them. But I find myself just staring off into space and grinning and laughing internally thinking about them. Oh, my heavens! Loved them! The ring, the song (be still my heart), the photoshoot. *sigh* Ok, y'all stop reading my rambling thoughts and go read the real thing. It's worth it I promise!

Content: Clean. Kissing and nothing further.

I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

Romance, clean, contemporary; series, but stand alone read
Josie and Colin's story was such a clever fun read! Josie and Colin's story was more of a 3.5 for me as a reader. Their story was magical, sweet, genuine, honest, and raw with all the difficulties in both of their pasts. I loved how they stood by each other as they faced difficulties. Their honest, hurting hearts were characterized so well. The side characters were more my issue. They were monstrous and perhaps a bit over the top in Josie's family's case. That being said, this was truly a pleasure to read. C.A.R has developed as a writer, and I do look forward to reading more of what she writes in the future.

Swoony!

Ms Anderson is the queen of meet cutes and this one didn't disappoint! Josie is like a modern-day Cinderella and when her boss (and fairy godmother) steps in and finds her a fiance to fulfill her claims of having one, her life suddenly gets very, very interesting.

Colin and Josie are super cute together and I love how they're in an arrangement that benefits them both and how they work hard to help the other one first. Colin is a rock star with a past, but just like any normal bloke, people can change and cast aside their old ways. This author does a great job of showing his demons and the battle they give him, allowing him to be human. Josie has her own issues and this engagement feeds her soul the strength she needs to blossom into her true self.

As with the other Georgia Moon Romances, the swoon abounds and the sparks fly liberally. I couldn't get enough of the luscious kisses between these relatable and likable characters. This book was a true delight to escape into and I'm completely satisfied, especially with that perfect ending. And PS--I need Rescued to be a real song, like ASAP.

Content: mild+ romance (kissing, some innuendo)

Cute!

Fake relationship stories are always fun, add in pretending to be engaged to a famous celebrity and you have a fun, entertaining read. I would be a total goober in that situation. Josie is a likable character, despite having a not so great upbringing, she is kind, smart and hardworking. In a moment of weakness she tells a little fib, that turns into a big old mess of trouble. Enter, famous Colin Wilde. Colin is trying to rebuild his image and music career, so posing as Josie's fiancé and getting close to her connections, so a big advantage for him. Josie and Colin have a whirlwind romance, instant attraction and chemistry. Overall, I thought this was a cute read, a nice escape.

Well, I was so excited when I saw that Cindy Roland Anderson was publishing another book in her Georgian Moon series I did a happy dance and cheered! I loooooove this author and this is my favourite series of hers. I was not disappointed. Her latest release is fantastic. So sweet and romantic! (I’m married to a Brit, so I can relate to the different expressions and the accent. Definitely a fun and swoony read.)

-‘Those obnoxious butterflies started going crazy again as Josie placed her palm against his heated skin. It didn’t matter how many times she touched him, each time sent her heart skittering. His thumb caressed the top of her hand as their eyes locked, and awareness crackled in the air like a Georgia lightning storm. Josie wished she knew if he was feeling the same kind of vibes or if it was all one-sided.’-

Josie gets herself in trouble when she makes up a fake-boyfriend that she needs to bring to her step-sister's upcoming wedding. In her defense, her sister is marrying her ex-fiance. Josie's boss and friend comes home from a party with Colin Wilde (former British rock star) and his agreement to play her fake-fiance. Josie is embarrassed that she got herself into this situation and also worried about how she's going to be around Colin Wilde! My advice, just go with it!

Colin and Josie are adorable together and the chemistry is off the charts! I loved how open Josie was about her fangirling, and how supportive she was of Colin's attempts to bridge over to country music. There was plenty of humor, lots of heart, and villains you loved to hate! I couldn't believe Josie's family. Scarlett and her mother were selfish and mean-spirited, and her father was even worse with his non-action.

I think Colin and Josie's rough family situations made it that much sweeter when they found each other, and good friends. This book made me smile, laugh, and start flipping back to reread my favorite excerpts.

Lies. No matter how well they are executed, the truth eventually comes out. Josie Sinclair knew better than to tell a lie, especially a whopper she’d told her stepsister.

This was a bit different than what I thought it was going to be. I really liked Josie and Colin together.

The story was great and the characters were good. Josie’s stepsister, her stepmother, and the sister’s fiancé were a bit flat. They were the normal sleazy, evil people.

If you are looking for something cute, light, and can finish in a day, this book is for you. It’s also a clean romance. There is only kissing. I don’t remember any cuss words. But like I said it’s cute and sweet.

I enjoyed this story. I have really loved the other books in this series. I loved watching how these two broken people were able to find happiness and love through their struggles. They were also able to help each other and rely on each other through these struggles. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because it seemed like this couple moved so fast. It seemed they went from just meeting each other to having a very close relationship so quickly. It reminded me of reading novellas where everything has to be sped up. But I did like this story and loved seeing the characters from the other books in this series come back. Can't wait for the next book by this author. I really enjoy reading her stuff!

A fun modern take on the classic Cinderella story. Colin and Josie were great. They were both trying to overcome things from their past. They found love when they least expected it. Scarlet and Monica were truly the evil stepmother and stepsister. I couldn’t believe how much they got away with. It was fun to have characters from other Georgia Moon books in the story. I’m excited to read Cindy’s next story.

I totally loved this retelling of Cinderella in modern times! Josie was the perfect Cinderella—beautiful, kind-hearted and always quietly looking out for others. And Colin—handsome, once a famous rock star but now down on his luck but a better man for his struggles—was the ideal prince. They met through a mutual acquaintance and their friendship became more as they fought for one another until it grew into a very passionate and tender love. Y’all, I loved it! Highly recommend! I was entrusted with a book by the author and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Loved it! Great addition to the Georgia Moon series!

I am a huge Georgia Moon series fan. So when this book came out I immediately stopped reading the book I was in the middle of so I could read this one. I’m so not disappointed! I loved it. Normally I’m not a insta love believer but this story was written so well that it was actually believable. The vulnerability of both characters was just so endearing. It really connected my heart to theirs reading about the abandonment by those who should have
loved them. Colin was just a “regular bloke” trying to get a second chance at his dreams. Josie was the unsung hero, the Cinderella of the story who had been trampled on growing up. Josie gets sucked into the vortex of her family, sorry, her stepfamily, and she and Colin try to get away unscathed. Beautiful story. I love the musical surprises and how everything worked out awesome in the end. Great epilogue! I’m bursting at the seams to mention what it was that made it so great but I don’t want to ruin the surprise!
I’m hoping there will be another book coming after this one to learn more about Charlotte’s story because that little girl is adorable.

(2.5 stars) - A cinderella story on steroids

I've enjoyed so many of Cindy Roland Anderson's books, & I love the idea of two broken people coming together and helping each other heal, but I'm sorry to say, this one struggled. So many elements of the story were over the top.

Attraction, lightning jolt touches & wanting to know someone better are romantic interest not love. I can accept insta-love stories in the right setting or circumstances, but there wasn't enough in this story to support them falling in love with each other in such a short span of time.

As awful as her steps were & her father who had emotionally abandoned her (I was surprised that he was such a flat, almost non-entity), I honestly don't understand why she would feel obligated to go home at all.

Also, nasty people like her steps aren't so blatant in front of strangers. They get away with their crap because they know how to be discreet, using passive aggressive comments, manipulation, & lots of backstabbing.

The pitch about Josie being so good & doing all that charity stuff was overdone, made it sound like she's a saint or something.

I love fairytales, so I can work with fantasy, but I need it to be written in a way that it doesn't awaken skepticism. So I really struggled with the story because my inner skeptic was triggered repeatedly, and I couldn't shush her.

I did enjoy seeing some of the characters from the previous books in here. And the ending was fun which made up for quite a bit

*Clean romance level: sweet kisses, nothing graphic

Laugh out loud fun!

Josie doesn't want to go home for her sister's wedding (to her ex) without a boyfriend and her kind employer, Shelby, finds her a perfect fake fiance--her teen crush Colin. Colin was once lead-singer in a rock band, but now cuts lawns for a living while trying to break into country music. They each need the help of the other if they're going to pull off this charade and still get everything they want, but sometimes dreams change. Josie started out cute and relatable, but got rather annoying when she met Colin and couldn't breathe anytime he came near her--easily the worst part of the book, though it made for a memorable first meeting. Luckily, the breathlessness finally ended and the rest of the book was hilarious and tense and everything a good book should be. The best scene in the whole book involved her friend's daughter innocently saying outrageous things and I couldn't stop laughing! I hope Charlotte and her daughter get their own book because I would be first in line to read it. Josie's family was horrendous, their scheming disastrous, and the ending made up for it all. A great one-sitting read!

I had lots of fun reading the story of Josie and Colin. Josie announces to her family she is engaged before her evil stepsister’s wedding
to stop nasty comments from her stepsister and stepmother. When the wedding is suddenly pushed forward Josie has only a couple of weeks before the wedding. Her employer finds her Colin, to fill the role of fake fiancé. Colin is a former rock star whose career had ended years before due to drinking and a bad reputation. He wanted to get back into more county music singing and writing and there would be contacts at the wedding, so he agreed to play the fake fiancé roll. The story is about what happens as these two are thrown together. Will they develop feelings and have a HEA or is this a one time thing?
I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the well written story. I especially liked the ending but I don’t want to give anything away, but justice prevails. I can’t wait to read other books by this author.

The long awaited fourth installment of the Georgia Moon Romance series is for sure long awaited.... but totally worth it. Most of the time when I read a book that is under 250 pages the risk is that I come away feeling like it wasn't long enough. This story is so well put together and very expertly edited that it feels perfectly paced, and when I finished I felt very satisfied with the ending and the length. It's a pretty common idea, fake a romance to get xy or z, but the dialogue and twists helped it to remain unique enough to hold interest. Hopefully we continue to get more books in the series, I love the world of characters she's created with the series. I had one of those moments where you read a new book in a series where I wanted to have a refresher on the previous books, but rather than read them I went and got the audiobooks. Carla Mercer-Meyer is one of my favorite narrators and does a great job with them. I look forward to the audiobook for this one.

This book was so much better than I expected it to be! I really enjoyed reading it. It was kind of a slight Cinderella story which didn’t necessarily need to be in there but Josie‘s character definitely was Cinderella-y. Pretty much the star of the book. It was a little confusing with all the characters right in the beginning but you caught on soon after. Josie and Colin may have fallen for each other a little too quickly for me but I’m OK with it. I loved the sweet kisses throughout the book. Normally you only get one or two out of a book and they usually put them at the very end. Her sister Scarlet was slightly annoying to the point of this is definitely not realistic. But that’s probably where the Cinderella story comes in. All in all I will definitely read another book from this author – I will actually be looking forward to it!

Light read. A little too much kissing, but ok.

Spoiler: this book is a fun read. It's not particularly heavy or life changing. I was looking for a happy ending escape COVID-19 isolation pick me up and this delivered.

Content: kisses. Some more steamy/passionate/prolonged then make me comfortable, but no sex which makes me so grateful.

One character is a recovering alcoholic.
Wish more resolution would come about with the terrible fathers these two leads have. Seriously. What shmucks.
Haven't read the other books in this series for years and had a little hard time remembering if either lead was directly connected to them, but didn't hurt the story to not recall them. It all started coming to back in the end.

Loved

I have enjoyed Cindy's books. The first time I saw one if her books was I wanted to read just by looking at the cover. Her covers are my favorite. My daughters.and I love all the different kind of shoes on them.

Okay now i love this story. I actually had to force myself to go and make dinner. My heart aked for the dynamics of the extended family. I throughly enjoyed this book. I was hoping that Josie's Dad would have stepped up. That is sad on how it turned. I don't like to give away much about the books I loved. I want you to experience the draw of the book. So make sure you throw dinner in the crockpot. The kids are distracted. Then sit down and enjoy this book.

This is a short and sweet romance that I really enjoyed. It’s written from a Christian worldview, with a bit of redemption worked in. Both MC’s have a scarred past that’s left them rather broken, and though the romance is super fast, the raw emotions and subsequent healing are really quite beautiful.

My only complaint is the shortness of the book. It caused a beautiful story to come across as rushed. I would have loved the author to have spent more time developing the relationship (maybe taking it from a few days to a few weeks 😉)… but it was still a great read.

Content:
There’s no foul language, violence, or sex. The romance is clean, but there are few steamy kissing scenes. This is not a fantasy novel, and there is no magic.

I couldn't put it down!

I have to be at work at six in the morning. It's now after midnight. I started reading this book at 8:30 and couldn't put it down!
The depth of the interesting characters and their relationships with one another captured my attention immediately. I love how the story progressed at just the right pace. I've read some stories that drag on so much that I just want to slap the main characters for being so dense. The relationship between Josie and Colin had the perfect flow. I laughed, cried and everything in between.
Thank you Cindy for another perfect read!

I really enjoyed this clean romance about Josie, a daughter in a very dysfunctional family, and Colin, a recovering alcoholic rock star, who enter a fake engagement to help each other. Josie needs a fiancée so she doesn't look pathetic to her nasty stepmother and stepsister at her stepsister's wedding and Colin needs to clean up his image and make connections to the country music world that Josie can make. What they didn't expect was their attraction to each other. Will fake become real and how? I highly recommend this book.

I love a good book that can capture my interest immediately and keeps it throughout the entirety of the book. I have loved every book by this author, and this was no exception. The characters were engrossing and the author was skillful at capturing my attention and making me feel extremely interested in the plight of the heroine. It was the best, most creative modern day twist on a fairy tale that I have ever read. The villains were despicable and hateful and it kept me cheering for the heroine until the very end! This book is well worth your time!

I love the Georgia Moon series and was so excited to read this latest release! Cindy Roland Anderson never disappoints. Moonlighting with the British Rock Star is an amazing addition to this great series. Colin is so charming an yet perfectly vulnerable, you can't help but fall in love! And his counterpart in Josie is masterfully created as the girl we all want to root for to triumph over her enemies. Well worth the read...you won't be able to put it down!

I loved Josie, it was her family I couldn't stand. How could her dad ignore the way she was treated by her step-mother and step-sister? Thankfully Josie had Shelby. Not only was she a great boss, but she was also the one who introduced Colin and Josie and this was a game changer for Josie. Colin is dealing with issues from his past, but he is a good guy and needed Josie just as much as she needed him. This was a fun sweet story. I liked that readers were also able to catch up with past characters from the previous Georgia Moon books.

I really enjoyed this sweetly developed romance and I would have given it five stars, except it had the element of three totally DETESTABLE characters, her stepmother, stepsister, and the stepsisters's fiancé(four if you count Josies' negligent father).I cannot stand to read such plots and came very close to giving up on this book, because they are really VILE, and to me, there is no pleasure in reading such elements.
The authors' skill in developing the characters of the H & h and their story is all that redeemed this book for me, and did it very well. :D

I loved it! Cindy Roland Anderson is one of my go to authors when I need a clean, but still juicy, romance. Her Georgia series being some of my faves. I loved Josie and Colin. I thought their relationship was believable and had the depth I wanted. I despised Josies family. They made me so upset it was affecting my mood. But! It all ended great! I read this book quickly and couldn’t put it down. Another great book by Anderson.
