This was my favourite book in the series right from the start, obviously not because of what the main character had to go through but because of how she is. I think the author has outdone herself in this installment of the series, not only because of the incredible world she has created but the incredible idea for this particular story.
The main character is Ginny, a wolf shifter, who suffers from a curse that makes her forgettable to everyone she meets in minutes after they part. She leads an incredibly lonely existence, and does not have anyone apart from her aunt, who also remembers her only occasionally, and Seymour, an interesting lake creature, who is just as adorable as he is scary. Nevertheless, her positive attitude and unbeatable spirit are inspiring to read. I loved her from the beginning to the end.
Then there is Easy, a writer and a wolf shifter with a shifting curse, who had to leave the mundane world due to his unpredictable shifting tendencies. He is amazing. And that's all I'm going to say, you have to meet that character on your own. Okay, I will add that he is like a dream perfect guy in every way.
What I also loved about this story is that the author expands the world, shows more of Shadowvale, while still making sure to include the regular town's hot spots and recurring side characters. And with the nature of Shadowvale and its infinite possibilities to extend and accommodate its inhabitants, the limit is only the author's imagination.
The idea of the story and the flawless execution of it, was even better that anticipated. I am not going to get into the details of the plot, but it was by far my favourite so far. I loved this story and I love this series, and I sincerely hope that there will be more stories to come, as I would love to read them.
The books do not necessarily be read in order bit I find it better. Reading order is: The Trouble With Witches (Shadowvale #1), The Vampire's Cursed Kiss (Shadowvale, #2), and The Forgettable Miss French (Shadowvale #3).
