PS: My Review (Contains Spoilers)!

To all the strong, fearless women out there fighting for their rights, fighting for hope, or fighting their own personal battles - this is for you.

That's what she says.

Let me start by saying this book ends with a cliffhanger so if you're thinking about reading it, DON'T. Save yourself. wait till book 3 is out then start the whole series, unless you love torturing yourself.*the suspense is killing me*.

i didn't like Gianna in this book, The Whinny little bitch was more annoying in this book then the first one. in the last chapters the author lead us to believe that Gia is going to be this "fearless queen" and she'll take what she wants no matter what. but in this book, OH MY FREAKING GOD. i wanted to reach out and choke her to death. Everything she does or wants to do is plain stupid and disastrous, And it just gets worse and worse. She acts on impulse which gets her in trouble. *the cliffy in the end*

I most enjoyed the part where she tortured then killed Bain and Francesca. Sweet. Sweet revenge!

I bring the blade forward and deliver a jagged slice across the middle of Bain’s throat. Blood gushes out, pouring all over my white dress, seeping down my legs, pooling on my shoes.
I don’t even care.
I still see red. So much red. I feel the hotness of it hitting my face, but I don’t back away. I want my face to be the last face he ever sees while his heartbeat slowly fades away and everything becomes dark for him.
His blood is mine. His life is mine. He thought he’d take me down? He was wrong. So very fucking wrong. I would kill a thousand times before I ever let that happen again.

Dayuuuuuum gurl!!

“You follow my rules and life is easy. Go against them, and it’s you that makes it hard for yourself.

OK first off, everyone that follows my reviews knows I’m NOT a fan of cliffhangers. I’m severely allergic to these things which causes me to break out in “are you effing me” rashes. You know the ones. You scratch your head while at the same time pulling your hair out, your hand automatically goes to your throat because you’re so frustrated, you’re envisioning doing actual bodily harm to these characters. And last but not least, you’re body feels like it’s on fire because of the last few words you read. So what do you do when there’s no prescription for something like this? You do like me. You apologize to your kids in advance and drop some money in “the swear jar”, grab the wine, and cuss like a sailor for two straight hours. Problem. Solved. At least For now.

Trying her best to move to forward but still having that blood thirst for her own revenge, Gianna is now in her own personal hell with the devil himself. Will she try to escape again or just accept the fact that as much as Draco wants her, she wants him the same way. Stubborn in her own right, Gianna knows that to be Draco’s equal, she has to be fearless and have a tough skin if she wants to survive any kind of aftermath. Once you’re with Draco, there’s no telling what’s going to happen to you. And for Gianna, she’s about to live that cold hard statement in the form of Draco.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

“You play the good girl, but you’ll dirty your hands in a heartbeat if it means protecting yourself or someone you care about.”

Draco doesn’t need much in his life. He’s the king of Mexico after all and having people worship the ground he walks on, is the reason he’s the most feared man. Getting Gianna to submit to him is like pulling teeth, but he’s never been one to back down and having her by his side means everything to him. But Gianna is a Nicotera and Draco is about to see up close and personal how stubborn she really is.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

“Draco Molina is no Superman. He’s the man that Superman has to take down because he’s so fucked up and vile.”

I must admit that the first 60% of this book, I wasn’t so sure about. I was extremely nervous with some of these characters choices and I kept thinking that it was going to end in a way that I would absolutely loathe. Then Gianna goes and does something so shocking to me, I was regretting not getting a warranty on my tablet cuz this chick really tested me and made me graduate to b*tch slap territory. But you know what? I think it had to be done that way. Doesn’t mean I liked it, but it certainly made the story that much more enjoyable.

Then I made to the 61% mark and omg, I developed a serious drinking problem!! It was action packed from left to right and let me tell you, I was trying so hard not to blink in those moments because I didn't know what was going to happen. I love it when an author keeps me on my toes and Shanora Williams definitely did with this one

Now as for the ending? I’m going to let papa Pope do the talking on this one.

Book one was a good foundation for this trilogy, this, however, was pointless (IMO). It did nothing to move the plot forward. Just Gia and Draco turning in circles.

I ended up skimming, wishing it would just end, rolling my eyes at Gia for being TSTL. Altogether, really silly.

Venom and Ecstasy is the second book in the Venom series. If you are looking for a dark read series this is it! I’m talking about killing, rape and a manipulation. I’m a dark read junkie and I like the super dark books with lots of PASSION and this one hit the mark.

The book starts where Passion and Venom left off. I was really cautious with Venom and Ecstasy because first, I didn’t realize this was a trilogy. I thought this was the last book, so when I realized it’s the second book, I’m always nervous reading any second book in any series.

But it just goes to show good writing because Shanora Williams wrote a damn good book.

Draco, who is also referenced as Jefe, was a character I loved to hate in the first book. I wanted to hate him, but I loved him too much for that. He’s a Hero that I crave for in dark books. He’s strong, resilient and Gia is slowly becoming his weakness. We shall see if this is a good or bad thing.

Gia is strong and she needs to be if she is going to stand beside Draco’s side. She doesn’t know if she can truly trust him and because of that, it gave me really good tension throughout the book.

This was not a boring, filler book. So many questions were answered. So many new obstacles came about and the relationship between Gia and Draco shifted throughout the book. It was a lovely, beautiful and twisted read.

The one thing I have something bad to say is that Shanora Williams doesn’t have a publication date for the third book. I know! It should be criminal considering this is a trilogy, but she just had a baby and yesterday was her birthday so I’ll let it slide.

Overall, LOVE this series, love this book and I can’t wait for the next book. I wouldn’t even mind if this series extends forever!

Well this was quite the ride! What a wicked web that has been woven in this 2nd installment of the Venom Trilogy.

Picking up where we left off from Passion and Venom (Venom Book 1). Draco tries his best to make Gia understand why he does what he does and is doing it all because she was 'promised' to him years ago.

El Jefe and La Patrona are making headways in building their relationship. Trust is forming, Sex is steaming and just when you think you might hear wedding bells in their future, all bonds are broken.

Once again, Gia thinks she knows everything and can trust all who have 'helped' her in the past. Even if that helping is against what others believe... Even if trusting ones who have helped her is not what she has been told to do.

This was a non stoppable read book for me. Turning the pages just to find out what would happen next... Would this web that has been perfectly spun survive? Or would it......... Bam..... have to wait for Book 3 to find out!!

Bring it on...Can Not Wait to see how this story will conclude with all the heart stopping, throw my kindle, OMG moments I had with the first 2 books.

A dark, twisty, hot, emotional roller coaster ride

What did I just read? No really, what the heck was that.

Ok so this story essentially picks right up where book one left off. Gia has decided that she's going to fake it until she makes it, the problem is somewhere along the way it turns more into a 'if you can't beat them, join them' type of mantra.

Draco Molina is dark, calculated, and savage. He's also someone Gia feels deeply connected to. Even though he is what she sees as evil, she knows that she has a dark side too. This story is about these two diving deeper into their feelings and attraction for one another. There are super hot and steamy moments. There are moments that could be considered triggers for some (Abuse, gore, death, bdsm). There is betrayal, a few twists, and so many lies I don't even know what the truth is anymore!

All in all this is an amazing story, about a dangerous man who runs a Mexican drug cartel, and murders anyone who betrays him. About a girl who is torn away from a life she understood and thrust into one she doesn't want to accept that she fits so well into.

Ugh I love this series. It isn't over yet though :)

EL JEFE IS BACK!

"I hate when you try to hide from me," he rasp in my ear.
"How am I hiding?"
"Under those clothes. Beneath your distress. Beneath layers and layers of conflicted emotions. Stop pretending this isn't real, because it is."

Shanora Williams ha scritto abilmente anche questo secondo romanzo della serie Venom, che io porto nei preferiti subito perchè merita davvero tanto. Sia per la trama, sia per i personaggi.

What can I say? Shanora Williams just never disappoints. I really braced myself when I dove into this book. With the way Passion & Venom ended, I just didn't know what to expect or what will happen next. This was just as crazy as the first book, that's for sure. But for some reason, it was bloodier, gorier and so much more intense. More emotions were involved and more revelations blew my mind. This author truly never ceases to amaze me with her wild and vivid imagination and the way she cooks up her tales.

There was never a dull moment. I felt like there were parts where I always held my breath, waiting for the other shoe to drop. And man, did that shoe—the size of a meteor, I must say—drop hard on that last part. I still can't get over it. I want to rewind the last few chapters, rid my brain of everything that happened on those pages and pray that it gives me a different result the second time around. But that isn't how it works now, does it? I'm still sad and raging mad at the same time. Believe me, you would too if you only knew what happened. Those scenes would bring the enraged, animalistic side out of anybody with a beating heart.

I did love the character growth in both Draco Molina (aka El Jefe) and Gianna Nicotera (aka La Patrona) though! We see a very different side to Draco in this book and his appeal gets even more magnetic in this one. He's still very much brutal and cold hearted, yet he shows a vulnerable and softer side to his persona here as well. The cracks in his armor become a bit more visible to us and that's what will lure you in even more. Gianna, on the other hand, shows her stronger side. She gets bombarded with truths, revelations and even betrayals that could bring a normal person to their knees with the impact they bring, yet Gia took it all in stride. Yes, she was still hurt and heartbroken, but the way she absorbed it all in and started to move forward with her head up high is admirable at best.

Venom & Ecstasy is the second book in the Venom series and cannot be read as a standalone. It starts right where book one left off, so you have to make sure to read Passion & Venom before this one. And be forewarned that just like book one, this too has a cliffhanger. To me, it's not as bad—like you're going to pull all your hair out, beg for the next book already, bad when you reach the end, but—it still is a cliffhanger nonetheless.

This book is a very dark, violent and erotic book that will certainly push boundaries and test your limits, yet once you dive into the world of Draco Molina, there's no going back. You won't be able to stop. You'll just keep asking for more. Especially now that we're getting to understand Draco so much more and Gianna is starting to find her footing and her place beside El Jefe. I'm just hoping the next book in this series comes sooner rather than later!

Jefe is baaaaaaaaacccckkkkkk! When will the minions learn not to underestimate el Jefe? This story is worth every second of the wait! It's dark. It's gritty. It's DELISH! The blackness that long ago claimed his soul....has now claimed Gianna.

Poor Gianna. She has been through the ringer and unfortunately the cycle is on repeat! No doubt Gianna is REINA! Do not underestimate her. She belongs to the most feared man on earth. What else should one expect?

If you're looking for marshmallows and hot chocolate, stop! Do not pass GO. This story is not for you! If you're looking for a dark, rich, on the edge of your seat, sexy read then yeah this story is for you!

Kudos, Shenora! You nailed it AGAIN!!!!

Five stars!

*Warning: this book is not a standalone. Don't read it without having read Passion & Venom first.*

I'll try not to spoil it because it was too awesome and people should experience it all by themselves.

I'm writing this review assuming you read book one. You know what happened in it; how it ended. You thought P&V was a wild ride, right? So wrong.

Things literally go boom in this one. But before I get ahead of myself, let me tell you, things are more intense. There will be times you'll want to shake some sense into Gia, there will be times you will be shaking your head at Draco's deeds. For a while, it's El Jefe vs. La Patrona and, as Gia herself wonders, who will win?

I loved that Gia still had her fighting spirit, even though she really screwed up in this one. Granted, Draco isn't a good man, he's not easy to tolerate or trust at all. I was torn between understanding her - or trying to - and wanting to smack her upside the head for doing this or that.

As for El Jefe, we see a different side of him - we already caught glimpses of it in P&V - and my heart ached for him, at a certain scene.

I was ready to throw my kindle toward the end and then we were left with another cliffhanger - I knew this, I did, but I'm a sucker for Ms. Williams' writing - and, while certain questions got answered, I can't help but want to see the conclusion.

So, you have it darker, more twisted than book one, but with scenes that will tug at your heart and ones where you'll want to scream at the characters and their choices.

I loved this book, in spite of some things Draco did and am giving it 5 stars. I can't help it, Draco has made my short anti-hero-that-I-love list.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

Read the 2nd book just to see the evolution of Gianna.

And it was a bust!!

Gianna still the little lost girl, whiny, spoil!

The ending scene is just stupid, so we know that Draco put a tracking device in her in the first book, so why the hell all that come alone and unarmed bullshit.
Just track her down and do a “take no prisoners” rescue!
Will not read the 3th book!

I still don't really care for this series but I guess one could argue that we now see Draco has a smidgen of a heart somewhere inside him, unlike the last book.

In the last book, I found the writing to be awkward and stilted at times. This time, it veered into flowery, trying to be poetic territory that made me cringe a little. I didn't find their power dance to be as compelling as it built up to be. It's apparent that Draco cares for her in his own way, although the way he goes about it is questionable sometimes. I found the revelation that she enjoys to be subpar at best. It didn't read as believable and felt thrown at the reader with little build-up.

Gia also learned some hard truths about her husband, which makes her see Draco in a different light. I don't think anything he could tell her would really excuse his actions towards her, but apparently mine and Gia's opinions differ regarding that.

All in all, this isn't going to be a favorite series of mine but I'm intrigued enough to see how it ends, especially after that cliffhanger.

Series:
Book 1: Passion & Venom → 3 Stars
Book 2: Venom & Ecstasy → 3 Stars
Book 3: Venom & Glory → 2.5 Stars

i am finding that i am not someone who enjoys connected series. i would much rather read a series of interconnected standalones instead of a connected series. partially because of that i think, i just didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first one. i felt a little bored throughout the whole thing and i felt like gianna was so so dumb in this book. the chemistry between gianna and draco was still decent and their spicy scenes were still spicy but i felt like their balance was all off in this one. i am intrigued with how this book left off so i’m going to finish the series eventually but i really just want to start a new book before i finish it.

The vicious, bloody saga continues....
El Jefe vs. La Patrona.

This part deals more with the Gia/Draco equation and relationship growth as a man/woman. They continue to Dodge and Parry , but a softer side OF Draco comes to light, but very subtly. Shanora never lets you forget that he's a Deadly Molina ! So there's kisses and torture, sex and stabbing, orgasms and bloodshed all in the same breath
Gianna is discovering her inner Nicotera ,
she has survived, now she's ready to conquer her rightful crown
Reina. Patrona. Queen and Boss.

She comes into her own in this part of the story, steadily finding her backbone and using it . She bloodies her hands and damn her soul , ultimately sealing her fate !!

“Murdering someone is damning your soul to hell for all eternity. Unless you’re ready to face the fire and that dirty red devil, be a good girl and let it go.I guess I’m ready for that dirty red devil to welcome me to Hell with open arms, because he’s won. Hell , I’ll sit right by his side, queen of his burning hell. It wouldn’t be long before I ended up owning him too.

Draco still is smitten and in love with her, he lays his kingdom at her feet. His heart in her hands .All she has to do is honour him, obey him, respect him. But she's a woman scorned and bitten once, so she's twice shy. After learning certain stunning truths about the snake ,Trigger Toni (I fucking knew it !!!) , she's reluctant to trust blindly and certainly not her captor. She refuses to believe his claims unless she sees proof. And though she pretends to Somehow trust Draco, she's plotting his downfall , behind his back

description

Blue Betrayals. Know why they’re called that? Because beneath all that beauty, there are thorns— large, sharp, vicious thorns. Some of them you can’t see because they are just as blue, blending in with the soft petals, which is why you have to be careful when picking them. If you aren’t cautious, they’ll stab you right where it fucking hurts, and yet you still can’t help but want to keep them.
Just. Like. Me !!

I guess in a way she's still naive Princess. Gullible and Trusting and thats her downfall. Her enemy , Henry Ricci , will stab her in her soft underbelly and play her like a harp.
I hated Hernandez , the snake , with a passion and the twist in the story brought me to my knees.
I hurt like a MoFo when Draco hurt. WTF ...how did I end up loving him??
Shanora turns the story on it's axis so adeptly that you root for the villain. She doesn't cloak the sheep in wolf's clothing, she bares the wolf , fangs and all , for all the world to see. There is NO confusion whatsoever , that Draco Molina is a Vicious , ruthless Bastard . He's venomous, heartless and dreadful Cartel Boss. He doesn't have an ounce of sympathy for traitors or his opponents . He rules his kingdom with a tight iron first and shedding blood, gouging eyes, ripping bellies, slicing throats is all in a day's work for him.
And I go and fall for him **smh**
But I hated Gia for betraying his trust and stabbing his open heart.

He’s so quiet. He’s . . . hurt. Because of me.
He only wanted my loyalty, and I gave him my ass to kiss.
Shit.
What have I done?

Cannot effing believe the stupidity of this girl
I'm so angry.

Spoilers Ahead!

It's official! I don't like Gia. She is NOT a good match for Draco. She continually questions and undermines his authority and her stupidity has major repercussions. Draco has NEVER lied to her, yet she refuses to put her complete trust in him. Every time he gives her a bit of rope, she manages to hang herself with her counterproductive actions. Draco is let down once again, and the results are fatal which are a major blow to his family and business.

In Book One, Draco hinted at something that could upend Gia's world about Trigger Toni. When he finally tells Gia her husband killed both their fathers, and that Trigger Toni didn't love her, she refuses to believe him. Now, please explain how a rational person can still harbor feelings of love for a man that killed their beloved father? You're a Mafia Princess for goodness sake, so act like one.

So imagine my surprise when Gia says this:
I should consider myself lucky that Draco took him out, but a part of me still doesn’t believe Toni could do that. Maybe it’s just my heart speaking, still remembering the times when we were happy.

And this:
I’m not sure if the part of me that feels guilty is the part that still cares for Toni or for Daddy. What Toni did— it was wrong. Unforgivable. But it doesn’t mean that I’ve stopped caring about him altogether. I remember everything I shared with him. Every moment with him felt like bliss, but that bliss has become shadowed by the troubling truth.

WTF! Seriously Gia! Trigger Toni, your husband killed your father -- show some loyalty to the memory of your father.

There is a pivotal scene that happens that you must suspend disbelief, please explain how an armless man got away undetected from a guarded compound -- after he escaped his cell with help from Gia! I'm waiting. You don't know either, right? Okay, here's what I do know. The man is weak from lack of food and water, he doesn't know the layout of the house, so how does he find the library to escape, there are security cameras and guards at the gate, he can't swim away because he has no arms and he can't drive a boat to get away. When recaptured how did the man know where he'd be taken? See, just too many unanswered questions to be believable or even remotely plausible.

As for Gia she proves time and time again there is nothing strong or tough about her, and at times she is too stupid to be afraid. As one reviewer already pointed out -- Gia is full of false bravado because there is nothing threatening or menacing about her and words to the contrary are futile. In allowing Henry to escape, Gia proves yet again she isn't ready to stand at the side of El Jefe. Poor Draco.

4 🌟 That freaking plot twist at the end though!!! I did NOT see it coming and I even shed a few unexpected tears for a character I first deemed unlikeable, but turned out to be more loyal than Gianna by the end of this book.

Gianna was very annoying when it came to her unwarranted, stupid ass decision-making! And one major f*cked decision led to Draco's downfall. Honestly Draco should've chosen his cousin over her if you ask me... But maybe she will redeem herself in the final book of this trilogy. I wouldn't hold my breath though, but she just erked my nerves smh. And I was glad for Patanza calling her out on her sh*t! Patanza and Thiago were honestly the MVP of this story as well as Draco's empire.

Draco Molina was my favorite of this book and Gianna does NOT deserve him imo. I wanted to hem her up a couple of times for hurting him when all he wanted was loyalty, loyalty, loyalty (in my Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna voice). May this last book be a redemption arc for Gianna because baby girl needs to go if something doesn't change! El Jefe can do bad by his goddamn self!

*Sidenote: The in-text translations of the basic Spanish phrases and words were kinda annoying to me. Maybe it's because I'm currently learning Spanish and already knew what they meant, but I honestly didn't feel they were necessary even if I wasn't learning the language. They were pretty much understood using context clues, but that's a personal opinion of mine.

Overall, I have really enjoyed this trilogy thus far. The suspense is great, the writing style is simplistic/not too hard to follow, the plot is engaging, the characters are complex in their own rite, and Draco Molina is El Jefe for a f*cking reason!!! And I'm still rooting for a HEA even if Gianna hasn't been very likeable to me at this point.

Gia becomes Queen

Draco and Gia begin their Power play. I don’t think too much advanced other than we learned who was telling the truth and their motives. I didn’t like Draco forcing Gia as I just can’t accept non-consensual sex. That part was hard.
I will read book 3

This second instalment to the Venom series is just that... venomous. Dirty. Evil passion lives in between these pages and with each turn of the page you get sucked into the power, the tension, the sex, the dirty and all the ugly of the Mexican cartel. Within the villainous walls of Draco Molina's empire something passionate and unyielding is brewing. A force that cannot be reckoned with and neither Draco nor Gia can stop it.
Venom and Ecstasy paints a bold picture of cartel life. While cartel life isn't glamorous, I loved how we were kept on the edge of our seat waiting for the next bullet to graze our hearts or to have the machete sever our literary minds.
I loved the fact that S. Williams pushed the envelope on safe romance. This series isn't hearts and flowers. It's blood and thorns.
If you want a different take on romance. A different take on darker. If you want poison laced in your champagne knowing that the bitter taste of it is what you want and that you can't get enough of it, you need to one-click this series.
D 4/5

Book two in the Venom Trilogy, Venom and Ecstasy, was just as fantastic as book one, if not better. It was dark, gritty, violent and sexy as hell, but moreover, it was an honest depiction of Gianna Nicoterra's evolution into the person she was always supposed to become. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and cannot wait for book three!

This book is filled with dark passion, violence and intrigue. Who is El Jefe (Draco) and why is he the way he is? What does he want with Gianna? I absolutely loved the dark and beautiful passion between Draco and Gianna. After the terrible way she is victimized at the end of book one, it was refreshing and empowering to see her evolve into La Reina, the Queen, and embrace the darkness within herself. But with all the lies being told and the past shrouded in mystery, who can she trust?

I was absolutely consumed by this novel, and Draco and Gianna and can not wait for book three. Bravo!

Make sure you read book one Passion & Venom before you read this as it's a continuation of Jefe and Giannas story. I only just finished book one and I jumped into this. What a fantastic storyline this is.

Dracco, Jefe, showed his softer side but don't worry it's only a glimmer. He's still dark, broody and obsessive over Gianna. I so wanted to slap Gianna at one stage. Why did she do that to my Jefe? Ggrrr. I loved how as the puzzles pieces started to fall into place for Gianna she got stronger.

An amazing read from start to finish. I seriously didn't want it to end and then when it ended I just wanted to drown in alcohol until the next book comes out. Yep it's that kinda ending.

YES! The second book is just as good as the first one! Carries on right from where the first one ends and oh my goodness so much stuff goes down. There is so much betrayal and heartache in this one… AND THE ENDING!! What a plot twist. Jaw dropped to the floor. Ends on a bit of a cliff hanger as well, so I need to get started on book 3 asap!

Another short one, but still very dark. A really good read if you’re a little messed up in the head.

OMG...

Venom & Ecstasy

I am so freaking bummed out right now!!

WTF with the cliffhanger!! I could NOT put this book down! Not kidding, I finished it last night at 12:30 am and immediately had to start book 3.
Then I read for sensible 30 more minutes and went to sleep because I had work in the morning and wanted to be refreshed and ready to go...

Yeah.. ok fine! ... so maybe that's a lie...

I for sure stayed up until 4 am and then woke up 20 minutes late with drool on my Kindle and ended up putting my shirt on backward...

BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!

I absolutely LOVE Gianna! She is a total badass and I totally envy her ability to just not give one single fuck!
The whole Reynoldo (aka Harry) thing really tripped me out and made me so sad, but totally needed to progress the story in the right direction.
Love Love Love Draco! The sadistic bastard with a surprising sweet side!

Venom & Ecstasy has just an amazing story line and characters who you connect with even though the situations they are involved in are so very far from anything I would ever experience. So many twists and turns, you are surprised and intrigued at every page turn. Fantastic!

A+ to this continuation of the story!

So not a standalone !! Read book 1 - cliffy - then onto this book and yup you guessed it there will be a book 3 !! I was lucky to not have to wait in between books 1 & 2 but I am already feeling tortured having to wait for book 3. So many ups and downs in this piece of the story I honestly couldn't tell if Gia was coming or going but I wasn't about to put the book down until I finished it. I read each book within hours and then had to lay down and attempt to calm myself and collect my thoughts.

By now we have an understanding going on. Draco and Gia could be such a power couple yet Gia claims she is using Draco to get what she wants when he thinks he has her under his thumb. It seems like a peaceful arrangement and Gia plays her part well. After the horrible ordeal that happened at the end of book 1 we find Gia recovering and seeing a bit of a different side of Draco. Does he really care for Gia or is he just hungry for the power she will help him achieve ?? We also see that due to Gia's hurt she isn't really much different than Draco and she wants to inflict revenge on those who wronged her that night. This book is full of detailed torture and definitely more violence than the first. There is a constant fear of Draco's life and Gia keeps you on edge because you never know what she will do. In book 1 I was a bit upset with how Draco turned out from the young man we met in book 1 prologue BUT now I honestly think I may kind of love him !! I know it is sick BUT he is a man of power and he delivers what he says he will yet you can see his heart soften and at times I almost feel sad for him. It is a dark and twisted story but there is some emotion, romance and serious heat. Gia may have come off as a timid and hurt woman but she is far from that and I enjoy her defiance almost as much as I enjoy her softness. Definitely some WOW moments and the last 1/3 or so of the book is a rollercoaster ride.
