The Men of War

Rate this book
Events continue to unfold on Aerth and Earth.

WWII in Europe has come mostly to a halt, although Germany is, as was the case in that time, behaving badly.

The United States has come to Europe earlier than in our timeline, fighting on the ground in France. Not against the Germans, but against the dead.

The machinations of Hagirr and Elianna continue to wreak havoc on both worlds, and while the two powerful wizards are lovers, they do not always share the same goals.

Harry, the British Infantryman who is just trying to keep his men alive, finds the burdens on his shoulders growing heavier and heavier as his body and moral values are tested.

Irsu, legendary warrior of the Iron Mountain Clan, is banished into the Underways of Aerth, separated from the newlywed wife he loves and the clan he's risked everything for.

As always, this is a serial novel series. I (the author) recommend you read the books in order or you will be lost. The novels are written assuming you have the information given in earlier books already in your head.

About the author

Damon Alan

Damon Alan was born in Columbus, IN in 1966. He grew up in different southern Indiana locations, moving many times in his youth. Wherever he went, he was always the geek in the crowd, developing an early love for science fiction and fantasy. An avid fan of early sci-fi on TV, he hungrily consumed what was available and was upset if he couldn’t be Spock on the playground. That’s not doing a good job of staying in character, is it?
After becoming an adult, at least in name, he tried several different paths at college before finally realizing he didn't fit well with that sort of structure. He left school and joined the Air Force to be assigned to Space Command, which sounded much cooler than it probably was. (Although it was cool.) After leaving the Air Force in 1990, he applied to the FAA to be an Air Traffic Controller. In 1992 that became reality, and Damon became an ATC at the Indianapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center.
Retired from ATC now, Damon is pursuing creative writing as a second career, with a growing number of Amazon exclusive novels under his belt. His short stories have been traditionally published in a few places, including the 2018 Gen Con anthology as well as American Mensa’s annual fiction issue in 2016.

Book Three in the series

I read this volume in the series in two days. The cast of characters in the first to books continue in book three. There are several plots going on in the series. Due to the fact we are not talking about all humans it is easy to be able to read with no confusion as to what is evil, what will be turning evil and what is good. The good of course is fighting the evil. I shall download and read book four in the series soon.
