The Importance of Fidel Castro

Rate this book
For decades, Fidel Castro has been Cuba's "Maximum Leader." This charismatic man began as the fiery head of a popular revolution against a corrupt dictator, then took to the world stage as a committed Communist. Following the collapse of his ally the Soviet Union, Castro has been increasingly isolated, but still controls nearly every aspect of daily life in Cuba.

This book is massive in content on Fidel Castro. There was a report that needed to be done on him for presentation so I went to the library. I had two books on him checked out, this being one of them, and the timeline at the beginning was incredibly helpful. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to know anything or everything about Fidel Castro. To be honest I never needed the second book I checked out because this one just had everything and more.
