A full-throttle adrenaline op, from the first chapter to the conclusion. What starts as a simple briefing for a potential assignment to eliminate "the one that got away" instantly explodes into chaos as Shepherd and company dodge bullets and a frame job. All while trying to decipher and hunt a new age WMD that was supposedly decommissioned before completion.
An absolute blast, sometimes literally, from start to finish.

Sheepdog:A Gideon Shepherd Thriller-Epis...

Chose a 5 because this was exceptional. I am also a fan of MI, the serie, the characters, as well as their various missions. Your characters are similar, yet totally their own personas. Very refreshing take on special operatives. Thank you for an exciting adventure, looking forward to more antics.

Get The Book

I bought this book because I like Mr. Sanchez' other books. Although this not an Urban thriller it certainly can stand on it's own. It is a great story and you can't put it down. I believe Mr. Sanchez proving that can write almost anything he cares to.

Gideon Shepherd leads an elite team of misfits, who are tasked with stopping an attack on civilian targets. Unable to trust anyone, they race to stop an old foe and save the day. Good start to a new series and a new direction for Orlando.

Sheepdog squad better than Avengers?

This group is so different than what we usually get. But then this is what you want from an undercover or 'black ops' or they just don't exist but are needed group! Very well done. Can we have more of this " Gideon Shepherd" series....

Trust no one

Sheepdog was a roller coaster of dark ops fun. Just a hair over believable, but it works. Anticipating the next story, with a cup of deathwish coffee, which transcends worlds.

Not his usual genre but still solid fun

I kept waiting for the hand wavium! But it never happened and it wasn’t needed. Good characters and a good story just need a good author and this has all three.

Though this genre may be new to the author, his writing is quick with action, and the technical descriptions are just enough without slowing down the story. Gideon Shepherd and his shadow group have an interesting mix of unique talents and armaments. So when Black Wolf from Gideon's past makes an appearance by destroying areas of New York Gideon's group will be required to use all their talents and toys to stop the worst from happening. I enjoyed reading this story and look forward to more Gideon Shepherd thrillers

Thrilling and exciting book that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Sheepdog is a thrilling Black Ops book that is like being thrust in a Mission Impossible episode. Gideon Shepherd and his team race against the clock to try and save the city from the clutches of a terrorist group all the while trying to avoid being blamed for the very crimes they are trying stop. This book is vivid in detail and exciting to read. I highly recommend everyone to start on this adventure. I can't wait for it to continue.

An action packed story about a top secret team of operatives, protecting the city in ways the police can't. The story grabs your attention right from the beginning. With the opening "audition" going wrong, agents getting killed. There's an intelligent mad man on the loose. And not only the city, but the world is in extreme danger. If he succeed's in obtaining the banned, secret weapon. Think Mission Impossible meets James Bond, with Ethan Hunt leading the team. Without the magic, the author's usual genre. A serious page turner, must read Thriller...

Orlando has managed to cross over from paranormal to straight action with an aplomb that few authors can do. Shep is a leader of his own shadow group of protectors that take on the bad guys when no one else can and get away with it. His arch enemy 'Victor' is ready to take on NY and Shep's team are called on and blackmailed into taking him on. Action packed, violence, bloodshed are all part of Orlando's ability to bring his readers the books they want to read. I highly recommend this new series and don't forget that his paranormal genre awaits you on the bookshelves.

When the RHINOS, a black opps squad is given the order to take down a rogue agent in NYC, they know it will be a difficult mission. However, when the enemy constantly seems to be one step ahead, and their own allies think they have gone rogue as well, it turns to all out chaos. This is a book different than Orlando's usual Urban Fantasy fare. There is constant action, and a lot of great military style tech. A nice read for a change from my normal reads.

Orlando Sanchez delivers us a new action packed adventure in Sheepdog. In a new to him genre, Orlando delivers a fast paced, action packed story. He keeps the reader on the edge of their seat, reading with anticipation as our hero's race through New York City, chasing the bad guys and avoiding the not so good, good guys. Will they save the city from mayhem and destruction? Will they survive? The only way to fund out is to read Sheepdog: A Gideon Shepherd Thriller.

This was a mental movie built for the screen in your mind... the imagery was compelling and stunning. A MUST READ.

Holy Cow!!

This may not be urban fantasy, but this was definitely a kick-butt book. The action was spot-on, and you are definitely rooting for Shep and his team to get things taken care of and save the day. Congrats to you, Mr. Sanchez, on writing a book outside of your comfort zone and doing an exceptional job. More please!!

Absolute killer story!

Please, please bring on some more Shep and his Rhinos. This book rocks in terms of plot, pacing, characters and dialog. I cannot offer enough praise. I have read a lot of those authors you list in your end notes, and what you have just produced is absolutely among the best of those storytellers. You should be proud, sir!

I really enjoyed this book!

It was funny in places, serious when it needed to be and let us see the personalities on all the major characters without bogging down the story. It is fast paced and interesting. I recommend it highly.

This is a different style of story then he normally writes, but I consider it just as good as all that he has written before and look forward to the continuing tales of Shep and team..

The First Non-Magical adventure from Orlando.

A fun foray into straight up action! A new team rises up to keep New York safe, and of course, blow some stuff up. A fast, action packed story that is well worth a read. Give it shot.

Good first book, could have used a little bit more meat.

Definitely fast paced, sometime as the expense of the ability to follow everyone going on
