I got to 45% and decided to dnf it.

Bad writing, bad pace, questionable characters and badly outlined, conflicts resolved so quickly, sexist and misogynistic treatment of "other girls" that are not the female protagonist.

WOW! A compelling read hooked form page one.
High School Bully now at out of state college where he freshman QB with pro potential. Still acting all entitled and like God’s gift. Then the girl he bullied in HS. Her roommate/best friend was just ditched by him and he’s moved on to her.
Talk about conflicts all around! Everyone at school wants the dirt, so many confusing emotions! The confusion and trying to figure stuff out.
I had to keep reading. In meeting his father you really got to see where he learned the bullying behavior from!
Another must read by author Simmer Brooks.

Perfectly Wrong certainly was the perfectly wrong book for me. (Yes, that was bad. Let’s move along…)

I’m honestly surprised that I ended up finishing this story. There wasn’t a single thing in it that I actually enjoyed, but a whole hell of a lot of things that rubbed me the wrong way. If you’d like to see why, I’d suggest reading on.

To start things off, I’d like to touch on the thing that annoyed me the least – the grammar in this novel. And that’s saying something, considering I honestly abhor poor grammar. There are an abundance of issues in this tale, from sentence structure not making sense to actual words being missing from sentences. It certainly makes me wonder if anyone proofread this story before it was published.

Mia Cowell got accepted with a full scholarship at Florida and joined her friends for a celebration, but she was tired from all the worrying and fussing over everything. She kept thinking she forgot something. She repacked her suitcase three times and even her younger brother was laughing at her. Her thoughts went back to Bryant Howard, the star quarterback, and his bullying through high school, calling her a mega-nerd so the other guys would stay away from her. She wondered if her current sad mood was because she found out that her girlfriend Samantha Rogers started dating Bryant – such a betrayal!

As her mom helped her pack… again… Mia put on a YouTube channel with the top stories about Florida University. The quarterback of the Renegades got himself in drug trouble and it looked like Bryant Howard might be their new starting quarterback after his brilliant plays on the field! She wasn’t sure how things would go with Sam dating Bryant, but it should be an interesting year.

Surprisingly, Mia and Sam re-established their old friendship. They were going to a party at Bryant’s huge house that he shared with his football roommates. To her surprise, Mia and Bryant were talking outside, getting along fairly well. He didn’t realize Sam was on the nearby porch so, when he told Mia he planned to break up with Sam, Sam was devastated and ran off with Mia chasing her, just like in high school. But Sam later asked Mia to play Truth or Dare where Sam would “dare” Mia to ask Bryant to go out on a date with her. Then Mia would “dare” Sam to double-date with them with Marvin as her date! Attitudes were changing, high school acquaintances growing up perhaps? But Mia started seeing Bryant in a different way it seemed. Sam even told her that he had bullied her in high school because he had practically been in love with her since the first day he saw her when they were kids – and that’s how boys acted! Would this crazy scheme point Mia in a new direction? Would she soon realize that Bryant was not the boy she knew in high school? Could she find forgiveness, and maybe real friendship . . . or more?

The book has a slow-moving story line, but it seems to be the correct pace for this one. The characters are well-depicted and mostly likable, even with their flaws. I like the fact that it seemed fairly realistic. The bullying wasn’t really hateful or physical, especially because Mia stood up for herself. But the high school drama is something many can relate to, so it had a familiar feel. Grab your copy and see how things work out. It’s a good read and worth your time!

Bryant and Mia were definitely enemies in high school. His unkind comments led to her being bullied by others in his popular kid crowd and those who were trying to be part of that crowd. Her interactions with Bryant made her high school days rather miserable, even though she learned to toss back her own barbs and derogatory comments. Now they are both at Florida University along with her supposed best friend and his current girlfriend, Sam. Handsome, rich and a gifted athlete, Bryant has a football scholarship. Mia is a smart, rather nerdy girl who wants nothing more than to be a journalist. She knows Bryant is on campus and plans to give him a wide berth. That becomes impossible after he quite publicly breaks up with Sam and she draws Mia into her plot for revenge. The plot backfires with Sam lashing out at Mia after Bryant kisses her in front of Sam. Somehow, Mia finds herself kissed by the guy who bullied her throughout high school....and has to admit to herself that she likes him more than a little bit, probably always has done. Bryant knows he has always been attracted to Mia, that he had teased her to get her to notice him. He is shamed by Mia’s insistence that it had been bullying, not just teasing. Now he seeks to shelter her from the wrath of Sam, who seems to be just a touch psycho and very vindictive. Their mutual attraction leads to a passion-filled night, her moving into the house he shares with a few of his teammates, and a period of friends with benefits. A family crisis draws them back to their home town where she admits her love and wants to know what the future holds for them. His inability to give her answers leads to Mia seeking distance and space, and to Bryant making stupid decisions that could ruin everything for him. This story is sometimes snarky, often sexy and always entertaining. Discover how Mia and Bryant’s relationship develops.

This is a great book. It is a bully and college romance. Bryant and Mia have known each other since grade school and he was always bullying her. Sam is Mia’s best friend and tries to keep the peace between the football star and the geeky girl. When Mia is unable to go to her college of choice, she goes to Community College for a year and reapplies. She gets a full scholarship and moves to Florida. When she is accepted, she wants to let her best friend know she is coming down. She ends up finding out on IG that her best friend is now dating her arch nemesis. When Sam and Bryant break-up, Mia gets conned to ask Bryant for a date and make it a double date. Bryant has always liked Mia and he accepts and from that night on, everything changes. The chemistry between Bryant and Mia is undeniably hot. There is forgiveness, deception, revenge, friendship, and love. I loved this storyline and how it just flowed. The characters in this book were great. There will be some that deserve a severe smack down. Don’t pass up on this book, it is so good.

What a fantastic, second chance story. I was hooked from the start.

Mia is a senior in high school and can’t wait to be accepted into college so she can leave her problems behind. Her problems?? A handsome, bully football player. When her world goes up in flames her plans change. Once she has the opportunity to put her goals back into play, she heads off to college. Once there it takes a short amount of time to have her world flipped upside down once again.

Bryant is the all star quarterback for his high school with a dark cloud hanging over him. When he gets a sports scholarship to Florida University he knows it will be hard work but is determined to achieve his ultimate goal, the NFL. But of course life to keep messing with him, including the one girl from back home who hates him with a passion.

Summer Brooks has done it AGAIN!! She manages to get you hooked from the first sentence she writes in ALL of her stories. She gives us the good, the bad and the ugly. She is definitely a triple threat author that I’m constantly excited to see what she does next!! You rock girl!! 🖤🖤

An amazing book and I absolutely loved it! Bryant bullied Mia in high school and then ends up dating her best friend in college. When Mia finally follows them to college a year later, she finds over time that Bryant isn't as bad as he seemed. He breaks up with her best friend, Sam, at a party and she immediately has them double dating on a dare. It doesn't turn out the way Sam hopes and it causes friction between her and Mia. Mia finds herself wanting to spend more time with Bryant and after a public fight with Sam, she finds herself moving in with him. Things are going well until a call from her brother takes them both back home. The trip doesn't end well and when they return to college, they go their separate ways. In the end, his football coach makes him see just how much he needs Mia and the two get back together and end up with their happy ending.

Perfectly Wrong. This book was interesting. The story deals with a lot of issues teenagers go through while in high school. It sometimes spills over into college. Mia had to deal with bullying on several levels. Once while in high school by the guy she meets again at college only Bryant has changed and has shown Mia people can change and be given a second chance. The other way is with her brother who is beaten up by bullies because of his personal orientation. Mia is also dealing with her best friend turning on her because Mia starts to enjoy Bryant's company and he takes a liking to her. She is losing a friendship and becoming the big talk on campus. American football, God's game is NOT SOCCER

American football, God's game is NOT SOCCER! Seriously "touchline run" is a soccer play. Football is NEVER a "match" it's a game. Quarterbacks can not SAC anyone as they are the ONLY ones that can be sacked and the defense uses their plays only to work against the the offense. The offense can not tackle anyone, they can't even hold their opponents...this was painful to read. I
As for characters, your heroine, Mia, was not likeable. The entire book was exhausting. If you're reading this review, please don't read the book. It will only leave you frustrated. Perfect example during the NFL draft Mia is in the freaking kitchen. WTH??? I guess we were suppose to take that she didn't need Bryant to be in the NFL to love him, but it was his lifelong achievement and she's just wandering through the kitchen. It was doo doo at best.

Bryant has always bullied Mia when they were in high school together. Bryant happens to get a scholarship to play football for a Florida University. Mia has been trying to get in at the same Florida University because she wanted to get into the journalism department. Bryant happens to be dating Mia’s best friend but she has been clingy so he decides at a party at his house that he is breaking up with her. When Mia and her best friend get to the party, Bryant tells Mia what he is going to do when Mia’s best friend over hears what Bryant says. She goes nuts and tells Mia not to come home, since they are sharing a dorm room. Summer Brooks has done it again! I really enjoyed reading this book.

This book is an enemy to lover romance. Mia was bullied by Bryant in their high school years but something's changed when Mia went to the same campus as Bryant. I think it happens so fast but I kind of understand that Bryant did it because he wanted to get Mia's attention. The reason that I give this book 4.5 stars is because sometime I don't understand Mia's thinking method though. I'm not a person who cringes to make a friend so I don't understand why Mia attached to Sam so much. Beside that the book is well written and I enjoy reading it.

This exceptional read will draw you in from the first page and hold you captivated until the end! It is well written, emotionally deep, fast pace, funny, witty, moves at a brisk pace, and is quite enjoyable. The characters are loveable, deep, and sweet; the chemistry between them is blazing hot. I loved watching their story unfold and the ups and downs, trust issues, family and friends’ drama, and misunderstandings make for a powerful read. This is a very interesting and engaging read that I strongly recommend reading.

I don't typically like college romance books but I love sports books. So i read this with mixed feelings at first.
But this book had amazing charachters that built from silly high school students to mature adults.

People think being rich is great, but this hero had a terrible parent that made him behave like a bully. After a year of college, Bryant starts to realize that he doesn't have to be like his father. When he sees Mia again, he admits to his repressed feelings.
This is a funny and sweet and very entertaining. Not at all like a typical college romance. I highly recommend this book.

DNF after only @ 10% or so. Stupid start and writing was like by a teenager. So the heroine is off to college, after a one-year gap, because her house caught on fire and they didn't have money to send her to college. Meanwhile, her BFF and the boy she hated the most in high school (in IN) go off to college together, the same one she should have attended. In FL. Like that makes any sense. Anyway, her BFF has apparently started dating her sworn enemy, and that's how the story begins and that's where I gave up. The back story was stupid and the writing was lame. I gave up because I just did not care.

Loved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Samantha, Mia and Bryant went to high school together. Sam and Mia have been best friends like sisters until Sam and Bryant went to College a year before Mia. When Mia first arrive to College Sam told Mia all about what has been going on, Mia just did not like that Sam has been dating her nemises Bryant.

Thank you for allowing me to review this book it was great.

This is another entertaining romance by this author. The characters are all well developed and engaging and the story has a decent plot. It is a college romance so there is a lot of drama, most of it very juvenile, but that fits with the college setting. I did find parts of the story a little confusing to follow at times which is why I gave it only 4 stars, but this is overall a very entertaining and enjoyable romance, full of over the top drama and sizzling romance.

Unsolicited review :
This is a sports/enemies-to-lovers/virgin & bad boy/ college romance. It has all the elements to enjoy and a couple to root for. It was a fast paced read with drama and turmoil to keep it interesting. This would have been a 4-5 star book but I was not overly impressed with the conversational aspect of the book. The conversation between characters at time seem unnatural and forced. I was able to overlook that and finish the book but this author will not be on my must read list.

Summer has done a wicked good job with this enemies to lovers, high school drama to college romance.

Bryant and Mia get to you. You become fully invested in the unorthodox ways they manage to get to their happy ending. The entire cast of characters are important to the story.

One book you'll want to read over and over with the same excitement as the first time. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Another good book by Summer Brooks !

Perfectly Wrong is a college football-enemies-to-lovers romance.
Mia and Bryant used to pick at each other in high school; now going to the same college, they meet up again, through one of Mia's best friend.
After that, well, it's typical college sport life; drama, some backstabbing, booze and parties!
Good and strong characters put in very real situations.

He was a jock, sometimes acting like a jerk. She was smart & sassy & was extremely wary of the guy who used to bait her at high school. Both on scholarships, he was hoping to make it to the NFL whilst she was studying journalism. She was wary of him as he used to bait her at high school though she continued to be sassy & smart & tried hard to fight her undeniable attraction for him. Could they find a way to be together? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Had potiential

I started reading this feeling optimistic but it just got worse. It was in a third person view point and Mia the main character just kept babbling in my view point. Was extremely rushed at the end and so many things was unnecessary. I usually don’t write bad reviews but this one got me saying wow, waste of storyline. I wished the author really played to the drama so has a reader you can actually feel the drama and angst. Rushing through too many obstacles.

This was an interesting read. bullied all through school by the rich popular boy, because of her nerdy ways, Mia fought everything in her life to succeed to where she wanted to be. Bryant was misunderstood for most of his life and even through the drama of others he managed to provide he wasn't who Mia always thought him to be. Great read.
